Chapter 167 Space Rescue

The ship Finn was on flew up into the hanger of Dominator's command ship. Dominator was in the hanger to meet Finn along with Mental Mouse, Gir, Black Cube, and a robot carrying the soulless body of Phoebe. The hatch of the tiny ship opened up and Finn got out. A robot went over to Finn and stretched out a limb to him. Finn looked at the robot confused and the robot pointed at Finn's sword. The hero reluctantly handed the sword over to the robot.
"Welcome to my ship, Finn. So glad you came, but then again you really didn't have much of a choice." Said Dominator with a smirk.
"Let's discuss the deal." Said Finn as he glared at Dominator.
"Oh we will, but why not have over a nice dinner. This is a special occasion and I have you and another guest to entertain. It would make me a bad host if I didn't take good care of my guest, now come along." Said Dominator as she walked out of the hanger.
Finn and the others followed.
Inside the Black Cube, Phoebe was floating around the void exploring it. One thing Phoebe realized about her new dark environment, was there didn't seem to be any gravity in the darkness itself, but there was gravity on the floating platforms. As the princess traveled she saw other trapped souls. There were wizards, pirates, squid people, doctors, mailmen, pizza delivery people, Vikings, ninjas, plumbers, clowns, a rock band, and several other beings trapped in the void of the Black Cube.
"This place is worst then the lantern." Mumbled Phoebe as she continued to look around.
The fiery girl then began to think of all her friends and family. Her mother and father, her stepfather/uncle Simon, Betty, her sisters Marceline and Eria, her cousin Lucinda, her friends Slime Princess, Patience, and Jake, and the love of her life Finn. Would Phoebe see any of them again or would she be stuck in this dark place forever like the other souls told her. Phoebe clenched her fist and shook the thought of never seeing her friends and loved ones ever agin. The princess glared at the surrounding darkness.
"I'm not going to give up. I'm going to escape this place and I will see my friends and family again! Your not going to snuff me out darkness! You hear me?!" Roared Phoebe.
The darkness didn't seem to care about Phoebe's outburst.
"Alright creep, you think your so tough, well I'll show you his tough I am." Said Phoebe as her flames glowed intensely.
The princess then began to hurl fireballs into the darkness to get its attention and try to escape the void.
On planet Olympia, Zim and Jasper had arrived in Zim's ship. Jasper got out of the ship because it was cramped and ordered Zim to lead her to where he encountered Peridot and her friend. Zim's ship hovered over the ground as he piloted ahead towards the river, with Jasper following him. The two made it to the river and Zim used his ship's scanners to pick up some tracks left behind by Peridot's pod and they began to follow them.
At the cave Mimi was watching Peridot tinker with some small machinery, when a strange look appeared on her face. Mimi starred off into space for a few seconds and then a panicked look appeared on her face and she grabbed Peridot's arm and began to tug on it fiercely.
"Ug...what are you doing?" Asked Peridot looking confused.
"Escape! Escape!" Urged Mimi.
"What's going on?" Asked Lapis as she and Jeff looked over at Peridot and Mimi.
"Mimi are you...having a vision?" Asked Jeff with a concerned look on his face.
Mimi nodded and pointed a finger at Peridot, who just looked confused.
"A...vision?" Asked Lapis.
"Mimi has the power to glimpse the future, it's been a while since she's been able to see any visions, but they always come true. Whatever she saw has something to do with Peridot and we need to get out of here." Said Jeff.
The little group quickly gathered what they could and we're fixing to race outside, where the pod was parked, when a red energy beam struck it and it exploded! Peridot and Lapis starred at the pod in horror as Zim's ship appeared hovering over the wrecked ship. Zim grinned down at the onlookers evilly and then Jasper marched out of the smoke with a big twisted grin on her face.
"JASPER!" Cried Peridot in fear.
"Your old boss?" Asked Lapis with shock.
Peridot just nodded her head. Jasper marched right up to Peridot and Lapis and stood before them. Peridot shook with fear and Lapis got between her and Jasper.
"So it's actually you Peridot. I have to say you look tiny and pathetic without your limb enhancers. Anyhow I see your not destroyed or in prison on this planet, so that means you deserted my forces during our attack on this planet twenty years ago. That makes you a deserter, which means you have to be punished." Said Jasper as she cracked her knuckles.
"I was simply...retreating. The invasion...was...a um failure and I saw that my only option was to flee from the ship." Stuttered Peridot as she tried to defend herself.
"It's still desertion." Said Jasper with a snarl.
"What are you planning to do to her?" Asked Lapis.
"Oh maybe crack her gem a little or shatter it completely. I haven't decided yet." Said Jasper with a crocked grin.
"Shattered?!" Cried Peridot in fear.
"I'm not going to let you do that." Said Lapis firmly as glared at Jasper.
"Oh really? Your another gem. I can see that, but I highly doubt you can stop me. My green comrade told me about your little powers and I know for a fact that your physically weak when it comes to physical strength." Said Jasper as she suddenly backhanded Lapis across the face and knocked her to the ground.
"LAPIS!" Cried Peridot in concern.
Lapis just laid on the ground moaning. Jasper turned her attention to Zim and his ship.
"Keep an eye on the blue one. If she starts getting back up and attempts to use her powers, blast her to bits."
Zim gave a little salute and pointed his ship's guns at Lapis. Jeff then decided to step in.
"Whoa! Let's hold off on the violence for a few minutes and let's try to talk things out. I'm sure we can work things out without the need for violence." Said Jeff giving a friendly smile.
"Get lot you owner grown insect, this is gem business." Said Jasper as she cast a glare at Jeff, before turning her attention back to Peridot.
"Stay...away! I have...metal powers!" Cried Peridot as Jasper stepped towards her.
"Oh I'm so terrified." Taunted Jasper.
Peridot looked around desperately for something metal she could use against Jasper. The green gem's eyes landed on the destroyed pod and she pointed her hands at it. A sheet of metal the size of a trash can lid flew from the wreck and slammed into the right side of Jasper's face! Peridot let out a laugh of triumph, but it quickly died as Jasper yanked the metal from her head and crumpled it into a ball before tossing it behind her. Jasper looked more annoyed then hurt.
"I'm going to compress you into a tiny ball next." Said Jasper as she reared her right arm back to throw a punch.
Peridot instinctive closed her eyes and raised her hands to try and defend herself from the blow that was fixing to happen, however nothing happened. The green gem opened her eyes in confusion and saw that a lasso of spider thread was wrapped around Jasper's right arm and that Jeff was on the other end of the lasso holding it in his hands, to prevent Jasper from hitting Peridot. Jasper turned to glare at Jeff.
"That was a close one! Now why don't we all just take a deep breath and try to talk over whatever business you have." Said Jeff.
Jasper just snarled as she grabbed the lasso with her other hand and yanked it forward. Jeff was yanked into the air and sent flying towards Jasper, who delivered a powerful punch to his body and knocked the big spider into a large rock. The friendly spider let out a groan and laid on the ground.
"Well that takes care of that annoyance. Now it's time to deal with you." Said Jasper as she turned back to Peridot.
Mimi starred at the scene happening before her in horror. Each one of her friends were down and out and it looked like Peridot was fixing to get a cruel beating by Jasper. Flashes of the horrible event that took her mother and most of her friends away flashed through Mimi's mind. A feeling of fear went through the girl's mind, which slowly began to turn to anger. It had been a long time since Mimi felt comfortable and happy and now someone was trying to hurt those closest to her. Well Mimi wasn't going to let that happen again. Mimi ran straight at Jasper and stopped a few feet from her. Jasper turn to look at the girl and grinned not feeling slightly threatened by the child. Mimi glared at Jasper before she closed her, opened her mouth, and unleashed a powerful sonic scream!
"WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
The scream was so loud and powerful that it sent Jasper reeling backwards clapping her hands to the side of her head and gritting her teeth in pain. Peridot, Lapis, and Jeff also clamped their hands to the sides of their heads. The windshield on Zim's ship cracked and a few sparks sparked from the dashboard. Zim grabbed his antenna in pain and began screaming in pain.
"Aaaaaaaa! Make it STOP! It's hurting my BRAIN!" Screamed Zim.
A few miles away Martin, who was walking down a path heard the scream.
"What in the universe was is that?" Asked Martin.
Back by the river, Peridot had stumbled away towards Lapis and Zim's ship trying to put some distance from the scream. Jasper stumbled a few more steps from Mimi and glared at her with eyes filled with anger.
"I'm putting an end to your little tantrum brat!" Roared Jasper as she summoned her crash helmet and charged at Mimi.
The orange gem slammed into Mimi knocking her to the ground and then she picked the child up. Jasper reared her head back and slammed it into Mimi's face giving her a black eye on her left eye, before tossing her to the side.
"MIMI!" Cried Jeff as he raced over to Mimi to tend to the wounded child.
Jasper ignored them and turned her attention to Peridot and Lapis. Zim had recovered and looked out his cracked windshield to see Lapis starting to recover and get up. The green alien began to target the blue gem with one of his ship's lasers and was fixing to fire. Peridot looked up at the ship and realized what was about to happen. Thinking quickly, Peridot grabbed the ship with her powers and caused it to tilt upwards. The ship's sudden movement caused Zim to fire his laser, but it missed Lapis and hit the ground near Jasper making a explosion that sent Jasper flying backwards and crashing into the side of the cave. Zim let out a startled yelp as he tried to regain control of his ship, but Peridot had it in the grasp of her powers. Peridot grunted as she pointed the ship upwards to prevent it from firing at anyone. The ship jerked around a little bit, but stayed in the same spot. Lapis looked over at Peridot with awe.
"Go deal with Jasper. I'll keep this one occupied as long as I can." Said Peridot as her arms trembled slightly.
Lapis nodded and turned her attention to Jasper. The blue gem pointed her hand at the water and a massive water fist rose out of it. Jasper was just getting back up, when the water fist slammed into and smashed into the side of the cave. The water fist retreated back dropping Jasper. The orange gem looked up to see Lapis glaring at her with intense hatred.
"That was for hurting my friends." Said Lapis.
Jasper let out a wild snarl as she lunged at Lapis. The blue gem didn't even blink as she slammed the water arm right on top of Jasper smashing her into the ground. The water hand grabbed Jasper and picked her up. Lapis brought the hand up close to her and starred Jasper in the eye.
"This is for threatening to cripple and kill someone I love." Said Lapis coldly.
Lapis then turned her attention to Peridot.
"Get ready to let that ship go!" She called.
"Roger that!" Called Peridot.
Jasper looked at Lis in confusion and then a small look of fear appeared in her eyes as she realized what was fixing to happen.
"Have a nice flight." Said Lapis with a smug smile.
Lapis raised the water arm up and then she made it throw it at Zim's ship. Peridot released her hold on Zim's ship and Jasper crashed into it. The ship which was now back under Zim's control took off into the air at a crazy angle from Jasper's impact. Zim and Jasper both screamed as the ship flew through the air and away from the river. Soon the ship and the villains were out of sight.
"We beat them!" Cheered Peridot.
"That'll show them." Said Lapis.
The two gems then turned to Jeff and Mimi. Jeff was holding Mimi, who had a black eye on her left eye. Lapis summoned some water from the river and shaped it into a ball that then froze. The blue gem then gave the ice to Mimi to place over her eye.
"You did good Mimi. Your mom would be proud of you." Said Jeff.
Mimi smiled a little at this.
Miles away on Dominator's ship, Dominator was sitting at a long table with Finn, Gir, Black Cube, Mental Mouse, a couple of robots, and Phoebe's body. Various food was on the table and Gir was eating a taco, while Mental Mouse was helping himself to some fondu. Finn glared at the table and then at Dominator, who was drinking a soda.
"Oh come on and eat something. It's delicious." Said Dominator as she put her soda down and indicated the food.
"How do I know you didn't poison it or drug it in someway?" Asked Finn.
"Well you should know that poison and drugs aren't my style and I would never waste perfectly good food. Just eat." Said Dominator.
Finn grabbed a finger sandwich and began to eat it.
"Now before we go discussing what I want from you and freeing your girlfriend, why don't I tell you a little bit about myself." Said Dominator.
"Fine." Said Finn.
"You see I wasn't always the big successful villain I am today. I started out being a timid young nerdy girl with no ambition what so ever. I was bullied a lot in elementary school by a bunch of popular girls, until one day I couldn't take it anymore and I just went berserk on the lead girl and knocked some of her teeth out! Man it was so fulfilling seeing that jerk crying and bleeding. My little actions got the attention of a group of ruler breaking kids and they asked me to join them, so I did. Years went by and I became tougher and eventually I became the leader of the group. My powers then started to kick in and my folks and the teachers sent me off to military school to get disciplined. It worked in a way they didn't expect. I became more disciplined with my bad deeds and destructive abilities, but I was discreet now. The teachers didn't suspect a thing and I became a model student. It was all an act of course to keep people from snooping around my business. I had big plans for conquering the universe, but I didn't quit have the knowledge or resources to go about. Then one day the military developed a special ship that was heavily armed and came equipped with a bit factory. This was the sign I was looking for and when no one was looking I stole the ship and claimed it as my own." Said Dominator.
"Is this ship were on the very one you stole?" Asked Mental Mouse.
"It is actually, though I have redesigned it and the robots over the years." Admitted Dominator.
"So why are you called Dominator?" Asked Finn.
"Well I didn't start out with that name, when I started my conquest of the universe. I tried several other names. There was Royal Pain, Lady Wrecker, Queen Conquest, Catastrophe, Calamity, Inferno and a few others, but none of them truly suited me. Then one day I heard a person scream dominator and it hit me. I absolutely dominated whatever I set out to do, so I began calling myself Dominator." Said Dominator.
"Quit a story." Said Mental Mouse.
"Why thank you." Said Dominator.
"So what do you want from me in exchange for Phoebe's freedom and soul?" Asked Finn.
"Uh straight to the point. I like that, but this is not the place to discuss this." Said Dominator as she stood up and left the table.
Finn reluctantly followed with the others right behind him. Dominator lead the group to one of her interrogation/torture rooms. The room was filled with chairs with metal straps and various torture devices. A robot carrying Phoebe's body set her in one of the chairs.
"Sit." Instructed Dominator as she pointed at one of the chairs.
"I'm not doing anything like that." Said Finn.
"If you don't do as I say, your fiery friend's soul is going to be stuck in the Black Cube forever." Said Dominator.
Finn let out a sigh and sat in the chair. Liquid metal straps shot up and wrapped around the hero's arms and legs.
"Now I suppose, your wondering why I asked you to come aboard my ship?" Said Dominator.
Finn just starred on ahead.
"Well I'll tell you. You see Finn, I've been at this evil game for evils and I've been very successful, but recently there's been something missing from my life." Said Dominator.
"A conscience?" Asked Finn.
"Oh funny, but no. The thing I've been missing is someone to love and share my life with. The only company I've had over the years are my robots and Black Cube and they're all good minions and all, but not really good company or for conversations. I do take heroes and villains captive from time to time, but they aren't really good company and they say the same old thing about how I'll never get away with what I'm doing or how they'll get revenge on me. A few villains even tried to hit on me, but they were all losers. Then I met you Finn and I have to say I'm impress. Your strong, young and handsome. You gave me a good fight, which very few people have managed to do and I respect that. The thing that I want from you Finn is your allegiance and your love." Said Dominator as she removed her helmet and set it on a workbench nearby and smiled at the trapped human.
"You...want me to be your boyfriend?" Asked Finn slightly stunned.
"My boyfriend and my evil knight in dark armor." Said Dominator with a smile.
"I will never work for you and help you fight the people of my planet!" Shouted Finn.
"Oh you will blondie, right after we brainwash you and change the way you think. You'll sit nice and quietly in that chair, while Mental Mouse gives that brain of yours a nice washing and then you'll be my evil knight. Your friend's soul depends on you cooperation." Said Dominator.
"Fine...I'll do it, but you promise to return Phoebe's soul to her body and that you'll let her return to the Capitol alive?" Asked Finn.
"Fine. I give you my word that your little friend gets her soul back and that she will be returned to the Capitol alive. Now let's move on." Said Dominator as she waved a hand at Mental Mouse and he floated up to Finn and placed a strange helmet like device on Finn's head.
"Now just relax as I reshape your memory and will, with my brilliant brain powers." Said Mental Mouse as his brain began to glow with yellow mental energy.
Finn gritted his teeth as Mental Mouse began to probe Finn's mind.
"Cheers to my soon to be minion!" Cheered Dominator happily.
Inside the Black Cube, Phoebe continued to blast fireballs at the void with no results. The fiery princess began to lose her temper, but realized that wasn't going to help, so she calmed down.
"I'm stuck in a prison of darkness. Now what is the weakness of darkness?" Thought Phoebe as she looked at the surrounding area.
Then the answer hit the princess. Light was the weakness of darkness. The brighter and more intense the light was the greater the darkness faded away. Phoebe took a deep breath and began to concentrate and summon the holly flames. A few seconds later, Phoebe's soul burned with bright white flames that seem to cut through the darkness like a hot knife through butter. The darkness of the void shuddered and let out a roar of agony.
"It's time to let the light shine." Said Phoebe as she began to unleash a ring of white flames from her body.
The ring struck the darkness and made it shout in pain and anger. Tendrils of darkness shot out and grabbed at Phoebe, but the princess sliced them to bits. The darkness seemed to become less and less and it got the attention of all the other trapped souls who starred at the white fiery form of Phoebe in awe. The remaining darkness merged and formed into a massive cube with a mouth full of teeth, before it flew at Phoebe. The princess just smiled as she unleashed a powerful burst of flames that struck the charging cube in the mouth and exploded! The depths of the cube were then filled with a bright white light that covered everything and all the souls sensed their time in the cube was coming to an end real soon.
In the outside world Finn was fighting off Mental Mouse's probing, when suddenly the Black Cube started to turn a grey color and cracks began to appear on it. No one was paying attention to the cube. Gir was playing with a rubber piggy, while Dominator watched Finn struggle against Mental Mouse's psychic powers.
"I'll admit you have a strong will boy, but it's only a matter of time before it crumbles to my mental might!" Laughed as he hovered closer to Finn.
It was then that the Black Cube began to crack a little and beams of white ligh began to shoot out getting Dominator's attention. The villain starred at the cube baffled and shocked.
"That's...never...happened before." Said Dominator not sure what to make about what was happening before her.
The Black Cube then exploded into a white wave of energy that knocked Dominator to the ground. Thousands of freed souls flew out of the destroyed cheering. A bunch of the souls flew off to the afterlife, while a few vengeful space pirate souls flew through the ship and through some of Dominator's robots and machines causing them to go haywire. The pirate souls then flew off laughing satisfied with their revenge. The soul of Phoebe flew back into her body and restored it to it's normal self. The princess shot to her feet and raced towards Dominator, who was just getting back up.
"Hey!" Shouted Phoebe as she reared her fist back.
"What...?" Said Dominator as she turned to see Phoebe.
SMACK!
Phoebe slammed her fist into Dominator's face knocking her to the ground. The explosion of the Black Cube and the punch Phoebe had delivered to Dominator had distracted Mental Mouse from his mental attack on Finn, who used the distraction to use his powers to break free from his restraints.
"Hey here's my favorite head game!" Shouted Finn getting Mental Mouse's attention.
Mental Mouse turned towards Finn and he headbutted the villain in the face! The evil rodent fell to the ground stunned. Finn turned away from Mental Mouse and looked at Phoebe, who ran over to him.
"You came to rescue me! I knew you would!" Cheered Phoebe as she embraced Finn.
Finn smiled and kissed Phoebe on the lips. The two young heroes then parted.
"What was that for?" Asked Phoebe as her cheeks blushed slightly.
"It's because I love you and I'm glad to see your ok." Said Finn as his cheeks blushed slightly.
As the two young lovers looked at each other were reuniting, Dominator sat up groaning and something small feel from her mouth and landed on the ground next to her. Dominator picked the object up and saw that it was a tooth. The villain then put a hand in her mouth to feel where the tooth came from and realized it was one of her front teeth. Dominator felt her blood boil as she turned to look for Phoebe and saw her and Finn kissing. A feeling of pure rage went through Dominator. The fiery girl not only knocked one of Dominator's teeth out, but now she was kissing the man she wanted! This totally enraged Dominator.
"That tears it I'm going torture you slowly and then I'll have you brainwashed into being a dumb lapdog!" Snarled Dominator as she stood up and turned her hands into magma cannons.
Dominator fired the cannons and a blast of hot magma flew from them and at Finn and Phoebe. The two heroes quickly leaped out of the way and the magma hit the wall behind them and ate through it. Finn saw Dominator's helmet laying nearby and picked it up and then he and Phoebe scrambled to their feet, raced through the newly made hole and down a hallway.
"Stop them!" Screamed Dominator as she took off after the heroes with Gir following her.
Mental Mouse began to come to and he realized what was going on and quickly made a call to the Shard informing the rest of Shadow Spite about what was going on.
Finn and Phoebe raced down a hallway past a few robots that had been taken down by the pirate ghost. Dominator was fast on their trail firing freeze blast at the heroes in an attempt to capture. A bunch of robots joined in on the chase and the villains were gaining. Finn saw that the robot that had taken, his sword was laying in a dazed heap up ahead and quickly reclaimed his sword. A larger robot joined in on the chase and Dominator allowed it to pass her and the other pursuing robots. Phoebe and Finn took a right turn and came across Gir holding a rocket launcher and his eyes glowing red.
"Master's Master said to stop you!" Shouted Gir as he fired the rocket.
Finn grabbed Phoebe and they dove to the ground to avoid the rocket. The projectile flew over the heroes and slammed into the big robot that was chasing after the heroes, making it explode into pieces and covering the hallway in smoke. Finn and Phoebe took this opportunity to sneak down another hallway, while Dominator and the other robots were blinded by the smoke. Gir just blinked at the smoke and shrugged, his shoulders. The heroes managed to stumble and make their way to Dominator's hanger, where they found the D.A.T.E.R.V. Finn saw that the keys were still in the machine and that there was a spare helmet. The young hero placed the helmet, he took onto his head and activated the visor. He then handed the other helmet to Phoebe, who put it on her head and managed to activate the visor.
"What's the plan?" Asked Phoebe.
"We're going to take this bad boy here and we're going to escape." Said Finn as he turned the ignition on.
"You know how to drive this thing?" Asked Phoebe as she hopped onto the backseat behind Finn.
"No idea, but how hard can it be." Said Finn.
It was then that Dominator and a bunch of robots stormed into the garage.
"Your stealing my sweet ride now?! Oh this just keeps getting better and better!" Yelled Dominator before she charged forward with her left hand sparking with ice powers and her right hand glowing with magma powers.
Finn looked at the controls and started pressing buttons. One button made a bunch of rock music play, another made a disco ball pop out of the back and do a light show, and another button made the right blinker flash. Finn let out a frustrated groan as he pressed another button and a pizza shot out of the front of the vehicle and hit Dominator in the face! Dominator screamed in rage as she staggered back and Finn pressed another button and a claw shot out from the front of the vehicle and grabbed Dominator.
"You mind if I handle this one?" Asked Phoebe with a mischievous grin.
"Be my guest." Said Finn.
Phoebe reached forward and grabbed a little joystick that seemed to control the claw that held Dominator. The princess jerked on the joystick and slammed Dominator into the ground a couple of times and then she spun her around a little. The robots saw their master was in trouble and began to charge forward to help. Finn quickly hit the pedal and the D.A.T.E.R.V took off through the garage with the robots in hot pursuit.
"I'm going to destroy you!" Roared Dominator as she managed to get one arm free from the claw and prepared to fire a freeze blast at Phoebe and Finn.
Phoebe quickly jerked the joystick and the claw tossed Dominator over the D.A.T.E.R.V and crashing into some of the robots. Finn steered the vehicle towards one of the walls and managed to find a laser button to blast a hole through it. The heroes raced through the hole and into space. The robots quickly patched the hole up and Dominator let out a frustrated roar before she ran off to the command bridge.
In space Finn pressed a button on the dashboard and wings sprouted out on the D.A.T.E.R.V. Finn and Phoebe marveled at the space around them before they went racing towards planet Olympia. Unfortunately they weren't out of the woods yet. Several things flew out the Shard and began chasing the fleeing heroes. These things were droid ships and they were armed to the teeth with lasers. To make matters much worse Dominator had reached the command bridge of her ship and was piloting it after Finn and Phoebe. Luckily the tractor beam was damaged by the freed souls, otherwise the chase would be over in an instant. The heroes entered Olympia's atmosphere with the drone ships and Dominator's ship right behind them. Phoebe fired fireballs at the drones while Finn fired lasers and missiles at them. The fleeing heroes raced towards the Capitol, where the defenders saw the incoming ships and began to fire at them with catapults and heavy artillery. Most of the drone ships were destroyed, but Dominator's ship plunged through the projectiles like a juggernaut.
"I have you now." Said Dominator with a grin as her ship got closer and closer to her prey.
"We need to stop that ship!" Yelled Phoebe.
Finn nodded and studied the D.A.T.E.R.V's controls. A crazy idea began to form in the heroes mind. He pressed a big red button on the controls the words 'Self Destruct' popped up on a screen with a countdown clock and Finn turned the machine so it was facing Dominator's ship.
"You think you can carry me?" Asked Finn.
"Yeah." Said Phoebe with a nod.
"We'll get ready, because I'm fixing to return this thing back to Dominator." Said Finn as he made the machine got at full speed towards Dominator's ship.
Dominator stood at her controls and watched as the heroes speed towards her ship. Mental Mouse entered the bridge and starred out at the window at the charging heroes.
"What are they doing?" Asked Mental Mouse.
"No idea." Said Dominator looking unsure.
The D.A.T.E.R.V was a few hundred yards away from Dominator's ship when Phoebe grabbed Finn and the two of them leaped off the machine. The vehicle plunged right into the underside of Dominator's ship and the countdown clock reached zero. The D.A.T.E.R.V exploded causing a series of explosions all throughout Dominator's ship! The massive ship rocked and bucked as smoke poured out from it. Phoebe, who was carrying Finn starred at the ship along with her boyfriend in awe. The defenders cheered at the sight of the carnage to the enemy ship.
On the bridge, a battered Dominator and Mental Mouse groaned as the lights flickered a bit. Gir stood by some flaming machinery roasting a hotdog. Mental Mouse hover over to a computer that showed him all the damage caused to the ship.
"We've taken on to much damage, we must retreat at once!" Cried Mental Mouse.
"Fine..." Grumbled Dominator as she took the controls and steered the ship away from the Capitol.
This was the first time Dominator could recall retreating from a battle. The thought angered Dominator yet at the same time excited her. This planet and its defenders offered her a truly worthy challenge of her skills. It would make victory all the much sweeter once she conquered the planet. Dominator may have not gotten Finn to her side that day, but she was determined to win him over to her side one way or another.
"Next time things will go differently." Vowed Dominator as she flew her ship into space to get it repaired and plan her next move.
Finn and Phoebe returned to the Capitol where they were praised by the defenders and received a warm embrace by their mothers. The two young heroes then shared a kiss with one another glad to be back in each other's company and that another battle was won.
