Chapter 171 Christmas Part 2

Quillgin was still sulking outside his snowcat, when he heard a loud noise from above and looked up. A strange ship hovering a few hundred feet above the snowcat. The ship descended and landed before Quillgin. A door opened up on the side of the ship and out came Klarion, Teekl, Bill, Beast, and Sylvester. Quillgin starred at the newcomers not sure what to make of them. Sylvester held up a tiny scanner device he pointed at the box in Quillgin's hands and it beeped.
"Well we located the source of the dark energy and it seems to be that box." Said Sylvester.
"I see, but why does one of Santa's helpers have something like that?" Asked Beast.
"I'm a former helper of Santa and this box is my creation." Said Quillgin.
"You created that marvelous little box?" Asked Bill.
"I did and it would have made Christmas perfect, but Santa refused to mass produced it." Said Quillgin.
"Well that's interesting and quit a sad story. I hate great potential being squandered and wasted by others! Please tell us your name." Said Bill.
"Quillgin."
"Well it's nice to meet you Quillgin. I'm Bill Cipher and these here are my associates. We're a group of travelers with special powers and skills, who look for people who need help and you look like you need help my friend. You tell us what you want and will work out a little deal to help you." Said Bill.
"I...want to mass produce my creation and spread it throughout the universe, but I don't want Santa to take the credit for it. I want to become the new Santa so I can get all the glory and recognition." Said Quillgin.
"I think we can help with that." Said Beast.
"Will help you mass produce your creation and deal with Santa. Your gift needs to be spread. Will give you the power and support you need. We have a deal?" Said Bill as he extended a flaming hand.
"Deal." Said Quillgin as he shook the hand.
"Great! Now let's get you suited up for your new job as Santa." Said Bill.
"I've been getting a strange energy reading from that doll you have, though it seems to be dormant. Let's see if I can jumpstart it." Said Sylvester as he plugged a wire into the Santa doll that Quillgin had.
There was a zapping sound and the doll's eyes began to glow red. Everybody watched as the doll began to grow and expand and then it melted into a red and white blob that wrapped around Quillgin. The blob then began to take shape and solidify. Quillgin now stood before the villains dressed in a Santa suit, with his face in the center of a large Santa head with a beard below his face and two large black eyes above his head.
"Well that was interesting." Said Sylvester as he removed the wire from the suit.
"I feel so powerful and very jolly! Hohoho!" Exclaimed Quillgin as he went over to the snowcat and picked it up with incredible ease.
The elf then chunked the snowcat into the sky and it soared off into the distance and vanished.
"That's the spirit. Now let's go pay Santa and his helpers a visit. We have a few items aboard the ship that might prove useful and I'm sure with your knowledge of Santa and his defenses, taking the workshop and taking over Christmas will be a snap." Said Bill.
The villains and Quillgin loaded up into the ship and took off towards the workshop.
At the secret lair Samantha was giving Nyx some detailed instructions for the Christmas decorations and the witch used her magic to conjure them up. There was a Christmas tree in the hanger along with some holiday streamers and a few snack tables with cookies and various other snacks. Alcor arrived in the hanger with Nyx's piglets, Dimentio, Nero, Pyro, Maleficent, Jinn, Frost, Kim, AMO, and Shark.
"Great you all made it. Welcome everybody to our little holiday party." Said Samantha.
"What's the occasion?" Asked Pyro.
"Well today is the day before an old Earth holiday called Christmas. It's a time were you just celebrate and spend time with your friends and family. We're all on the same side, so we all count as friends to some degree and we've all been working hard, so I think we should just relax and have a little fun." Said Samantha.
"Sounds good to me. What do you think Lord Pyro?" Said Jinn as he looked at the fiery prince.
"Very well, we shall have a party for this Christmas holiday." Said Pyro,
"A party we shall have! Let the fun commence!" Said Dimentio as he snapped his fingers.
A bunch of copies of Dimentio appeared holding various instruments that they began to play filling the hanger with music. Alcor conjured himself a violin and began to play it with the band of Dimentio. Nyx, Ying, the piglets, Jinn, Shark, AMO, Samantha, and Dimentio began to dance, while the others watched and ate snacks. Samantha glanced over at Nero and she saw a sad distant look in his eyes. It was a look she was familiar with and she decided to go over and chat with Nero.
"So you lost something important to?" Asked Samantha.
"Beg your pardon?" Asked Nero.
"There's some sadness in your eyes. It's the sadness of loss and I know what it feels like. You want to talk about it?" Said Samantha.
"Maybe, but only if you tell me what you lost first." Said Nero.
"Fair enough I got nothing to hide. You see over a thousand years ago this planet was hoping with a race of beings called humans and I used to be one. Well I'm still technically human, but I'm something else to. Anyhow in one big country called Japan a company created these advance robots called Medabots that had the ability to think and act. People bought them as companions and used them to have little battles with each other. A year or so later another brand of robots called Kilobots were created and sold to the people. The Kilobots lacked free will and personality. Time went by peacefully for a while and then the Kilobots went rogue and started attacking the humans and Medabots killing everything in sight. I just remember screams and the sound of weapons discharging along with a bunch of explosions and then I remember getting hit by a explosion and everything went dark. Next thing I know I wake up in a hospital feeling strange. I was greeted by a doctor named Dr. AGE, who told me that I had been in a horrible explosion that destroyed my old body and that he had saved my life by turning me into a cyborg. According to the doctor I had been in a deep sleep after the surgery and I was the only reported survivor from the Kilobot incident. All...my friends...and family were now dead. Dr. AGE adopted me saying I was going to be a part of something special and then the two of us along with a few others took a rocket ship and left Earth." Said Samantha.
"I...must admit that's quit a tale. In exchange for your tale, I shall tell you mine. Billions of years ago I lived on a far off planet called Arna. It was a peaceful world full of honorable strong warriors. I had a wife a son and a young baby girl and I was quit happy. Then GOLB came with his forces and ravaged the planet and it's people. I fought with all my might against GOLB and his forces, but it wasn't enough. One my one my fellow warriors fell, I was struck down, but I did not die, for I was merely unconscious. When I woke up I found some of my dead comrades bodies on me and I pushed them off. I then began to search the ruins of my world, until I found the burnt remains of my home, with my family's bodies inside. It was then I was approached by the Lich, who said he would restore my world and it's people, if I served him and helped him obtain his goal. I agreed and I now serve the Lich." Said Nero.
"Well it looks like you have me beat in terms of years. I hope you get what you lost back and that you get revenge on GOLB. I may work for a guy who works for GOLB, but I don't care what happens to GOLB." Said Samantha.
"Tell me, how are you managing to cope with your loss?" Asked Nero.
"Well it isn't easy. Not a day goes by that I don't miss any of friends or family. I often wonder why I survived and they didn't. I know that none of the people I lost would want me to be sad and that they would want me to be happy and live on for their sake, so that's what I'm doing. I'm trying to live each day to the fullest and I'm trying to make a better future. It's been rough, but I've managed to make some good friends along the way and became the older stepsister to Nyx. The people I care about back in the past are dead, but as long as I remember them they're never really gone." Said Samantha.
"Interesting. You have both my sympathy and my respect Samantha." Said Nero with a tiny smile.
"Thanks. Now if you excuse me I'm going to party and live a little. It's Christmas after all and its a time to be nice and be joyful for what you have in your life." Said Samantha as she left to go dance.
"A remarkable girl." Said Nero.
A little while later Dimentio decided to put on some slow music. Pyro took Maleficent's hand and the two of them began to slow dance with each other. Alcor put down his violin and went over to Nyx.
"May I have this dance?" He asked with a smile.
"Um...sure." Said Nyx as her cheeks flushed slightly.
The clone took the witch's hand and the two of them began to slowly dance with each other. Nyx looked at Alcor's face and imagined that she was dancing with Dipper and smiled. The music played on for a few minutes more and then it stopped.
"Your a really good dancer Nyx." Said Alcor.
"Thanks." Said Nyx as she blushed a little.
"You really should be proud of yourself, any young man would enjoy dancing and spending time with you." Said Alcor.
"You really think so?" Asked Nyx.
"I know so." Said Alcor.
The party continued on.
Lightyears away on planet Olympia, Finn, Phoebe, and a bunch of the others had been called into a large ballroom to see a massive Christmas tree and a bunch of tables and chairs set up with Christmas decorations.
"What's all this?" Asked Finn.
"Just a little something we threw together for Christmas." Said Ling as he and Gearga stepped out from behind the Christmas tree.
"What's Christmas?" Asked Finn.
"It's an old Earth holiday that was about spending time with friends and family and spreading joy and goodwill to others." Said Gearga.
"Man it's been forever since I celebrated Christmas." Said Django.
"I remember Martin telling me about Christmas and the two of us celebrated it." Said Atalanta.
"Well it sounds fun and we can all use a break and good cheer." Said Phoebe.
Everybody headed over to the tables and sat down. Finn sat down and noticed a strange green leaf hanging above his head.
"Look whose under the mistletoe!" Said Ling.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Asked Finn.
"Oh it's part of a Christmas tradition. Whoever is under the mistletoe has to be kissed." Explained Gearga.
Finn's cheeks blushed a little at the mention of this.
"I'll do it." Said Phoebe with a smile as she headed over to Finn.
The fiery princess leaned in and kissed Finn on the lips. The others cheered and applauded for the young couple, who just smiled at each other. Food along with cookies and hot chocolate were brought out to the gathered defenders and they have a merry meal and enjoyed each other's company.
Back on Earth, things were swinging in the Ice Kingdom. Simon and Betty had invited the Peace Protectors, Hunter Wizard, Huntress Wizard, and Abracadaniel to their little Christmas party. The palace also got a surprise visit from a depressed looking Slime Princess, who was carrying a suitcase. Patience went over to her friend with a look of concern on her face.
"What's wrong SP?" Asked Patience.
"My sister Blargetha married Gnome Leader and so now she's a queen and she and her husband banished me from the Slime Kingdom forever! Now I'm homeless!" Cried Slime Princess.
"Hey. Hey. It's going to be ok. You can come live in the palace with me." Said Patience as she picked up Slime Princess and gave her a comforting hug.
"Really...? You let me live with you in the palace?" Asked Slime Princess.
"Our home is a sanctuary for those in need." Said Betty.
"Oh course you can live here. We're both Elementals and friends for eternity. I got your back Slime Princess and you can always count on me, when you need help." Said Patience.
"Thanks you all!" Said Slime Princess with tears in her eyes.
"Now wipe those tears away my friend. Today is a joyous day and even, when things are tough, you always have friends that'll be there to help you out and help make things better." Said Patience.
Slime Princess smiled as she wiped her tears away.
"This is becoming an awesome emotionally Christmas dudes." Said Soos.
"You know what would make it even cooler?" Asked Mabel.
"What's that?" Asked Wendy.
"Going to the North Pole to see the workshop and actually meet Santa. That would really make this Christmas epic!" Said Mabel with stars in her eyes and a big smile on her face.
"That would be pretty cool, but the chances of us going there and meeting Santa are pretty slim." Said Dipper.
"A girl can dream." Said Mabel with a shrug.
"And you sure do dream big." Said Gideon with a smile.
"A adventure to the North Pole to meet Santa, would be great, but what are the chances of us actually doing that?" Said Dipper.
"Well Christmas does has it's fair share of miracles." Said Mabel.
Little did either of the twins know was that something big was fixing to go down in the North Pole that would bring them and a bunch of their friends a wondrous adventure into a winter wonder land to meet Santa and have an epic Christmas.
