The land of Ooo was full of many strange and wondrous creatures. The sea around Ooo was also full of strange and wondrous creatures. One of these creature was a being called Rain the Water Prince. Rain was a merman with blue skin, a dolphin tale, and had black hair in a fauxhawk hairstyle. Rain also wore a black T-shirt and two silver seashell wristbands. The merman was the son of President Porpoise and a water elemental named Water Princess, who late took on the name Water Queen, when she got married. Rain had been born a little bit after the marriage and for three years the family lived happily, until one day there was a violent sea quake that shook the ocean and Water Queen was killed by some falling rocks trying to protect her son. Rain was devastated by the loss of his mother. President Porpoise was also sad and for a few years, he and Rain grieved. Then President Porpoise met a water nymph named Nile and got married to her. Nile was kind and tried to get close to Rain, but he just didn't love her. When Rain was a little older he began to learn he had the ability to bend water. Rain trained under the water elemental, Canyon, until he felt confident in gong to the deeper parts of the ocean to seek out a powerful magical being known as the Sea Sorceress. After a few days of traveling the Rain found an old sunken cruise ship that served as the home of the Sea Sorceress. The Sea Sorceress was a tall women with light blue skin, with long green hair, dressed in a white robe, with clam shells on the chest, a light pink cone shaped hat, and carried a red curved staff made out of coral.
"Greeting young traveler. To what do I owe this visit young Water Prince." Said Sea Sorceress.
"Oh Sea Sorceress, I hear your the third strongest wizard on the Wizard Council and I seek your power to resurrect my mother, Water Queen." Said Rain.
"Rain...what you ask for is not possible. Bringing someone back from the dead is a taboo and even if it were to be done the person you want back would never truly be whole. A piece of them will be missing from their souls. My advice is to let go of your pain and stop this pursuit of trying to bring your mother back to life. That venture will only end in sadness and disaster." Said Sea Sorceries.
"Fine." Muttered Rain as he turned and left.
"I do hope that young prince heads my advice and let's go. Life is to short to wallow in sorrow." Said Sea Sorceress.
Rain headed back to his home and decided to spend a little time on dry land. The merman possessed the unique ability to turn his tail into a pair of legs. Rain had also learned a tiny bit of magic that allowed himself to conjure up a pair of grey shorts and some sandals. The merman went ashore turned his tail into legs with pants and sandals and took a little walk. Rain found a large rock to sit on and stared out at the ocean.
"I miss...you mom. I'd do anything...to bring you back." Whispered Rain.
"Anything you say?" Asked a voice next to Rain.
Rain let out a surprised shout as he fell from the rock and landed on his back. The merman looked up at the rock to see a short figure in a cloak and mask looking down at him. Rain stared at the figure and a feeling of dread went through him as he slowly began to figure out, who it was. It was the villain known as Crimson! The people of the ocean have heard terrible things about the masked villain and his dark deeds. A good description had been given and Rain was able to recognize Crimson from it. All of Rain's animal instincts screamed at him to run into the ocean, but the merman was frozen with fear and a slit hint of curiosity.
"You said you would do anything to bring your mother back. Now tell me were you being serious?" Said Crimson.
"I...was." Said Rain.
"Good. Now what if I told you I could bring her back for you in exchange for a little service from you, would you do that to be reunited with your mother?" Said Crimson.
"Why...should I believe you? Your a villain! Why would you help me?" Said Rain as he quickly got to his feet.
"I suppose I am a villain, your a smart child, but when you look at it everyone's a villain to someone out there. Take Queen Bubblegum for example, she killed hundreds of innocent fire people for her own purposes and she tried to hide her crimes and intentions with a mask of kindness and cleverness. I'm a villain, I won't deny that, but I'm also a guy whose trying to create a better future. Now I want to help you, because you seem like a nice kid going through a rough patch and to show you I'm on the level, I'll show you that I can reunite you with your mother." Said Crimson as he snapped his fingers.
There was a blinding flash and Rain covered his eyes with his hands. Rain then lowered his hands and saw a women with blue skin and black hair standing before him wearing a blue dress and looking a little confused. It was his mother, the Water Queen!
"Mom!" Cried Rain with joy.
"Rain!" Gasped Water Queen.
Rain ran towards his mother to embrace her, but when he wrapped his arms around, she turned into mist and vanished.
"What the?! What happened?!" Asked Rain looking completely confused.
"That was just a demo to show you that I could bring your mother back, but I'm not going to just let you have your little happy reunion now. You need to do something for me and I'll do something for you. Fair is fair after all." Said Crimson.
"What...do you want me to do?" Asked Rain.
"There's a group of people living in the Ice Kingdom that have close connections to most of the heroes in Ooo. I want you to befriend these people and get close to them, so you can spy on them for me. If you spy on these people for a good amount of time and collect a good deal of information on, then I shall fully resurrect your mother and reunite you with her. Do we have a deal?" Said Crimson.
"Yes...I'll do as you ask." Said Rain as he looked up at Crimson.
"Splendid. You will not regret this oh Water Prince. Now here's a little something to help you stay in contact with me." Said Crimson as he tossed a small red ring to Rain and then he vanished in a flash of red light.
"Will be together soon mother." Said Rain as he placed the ring on his righthand and began to head towards the ocean.
In the Ice Kingdom, Dipper was outside practice a little with the magic item he got from Santa. Dipper had also been studying the book, he got from Wizard City to help hone his magic. He raised his right arm and concentrated. The wristband began to glow and a blue star shaped shield appeared in front of his fist.
"Man this is cool!" Said Dipper excitedly.
"I see, your coming along with your studies." Said Simon as he came walking up to Dipper.
"Yeah...I think I'm starting to get the hang of it." Said Dipper.
"Well practice makes perfect. Let's try some spells. You already have a handle on a shield spell, so let's try some offense spells." Said Simon as he pulled out the book to look through it.
"What spells do you think I should try first?" Asked Dipper.
"Let's try meteor and then star light. They seem to be the first offensive spells you should learn. Now I'll give us some practice targets." Said Simon as he waved his hands at the snow.
A dozen small ice pillars appeared a few yards away from Simon and Dipper. Simon pointed at the pillars and Dipper faced them. Dipper began to concentrate and a few balls of light the size of tennis balls appeared floating around him. The boy then shot his hands up into the air and the balls of light flew up into the sky. Dipper then threw his hands down and the balls of light rained down towards the targets. Four of the ice pillars were hit by the balls and broke apart, while the other balls missed their targets.
"Nuts." Grumbled Dipper.
"It's alright you did fine. You managed to hit some of the targets, will just have to work on your aim a little bit. Now let's try star light." Said Simon.
Dipper nodded his head and focused on the pillars. The boy put his hands together and faced his palms outwards. Dipper concentrated and his hands began to glow and then a beam of light shot out and sliced the pillars to bits!
"Excellent job." Said Simon.
"Whew! That took a lot out of me." Said Dipper as he wiped his brow.
"It should, since it's a powerful spell. You did a good job today Dipper, now go rest and have some fun. You earned it." Said Simon.
Dipper smiled and went to find Mabel and the others.
In the palace, Patience was hanging out with Slime Princess trying to comfort her. Slime Princess was still depressed about losing her kingdom and she was a little freaked out about the adventure in the North Pole, where she basically hid behind others and watched them do all the fighting. Patience was determined to help her friend out.
"Can't we get the Peace Protectors or someone to help take your kingdom back from your sister?" Asked Patience.
"It's not that simple. Blargetha did nothing illegal, she got married to another royal and now she's queen of the Slime Kingdom. Any attempt to storm into the Slime Kingdom and take the throne, would be considered an act of terrorism." Said Slime Princess.
"Well...what if you were to challenge Blargetha to a duel for the throne?" Asked Patience.
"Blargetha might go for that, but what do I have to bargain with?" Said Slime Princess.
"You can offer up yourself and me as servants to Blargetha." Said Patience.
"You would...willing offer your own freedom?" Asked Slime Princess.
"Of course I would, we're friends and even if you did lose at least you'd have a friend by your side help with your servant duties and comfort you." Said Patience.
"That's very kind of you, but I don't think I should challenge my sister to a duel. Knowing her, Blargetha would probably use a tank or some other kind of war machine for the duel. I have nothing to challenge something like that." Said Slime Princess.
"That's where your wrong. Your totally forgetting your an Elemental of Slime! You have a great deal of power within you and I'm going to help train you and unlock your potential. Then will challenge that sister of yours, you'll win the duel, and will take your kingdom back." Said Patience.
"Well...when you put it like that. Maybe I do have a chance. Alright let's do it! Let's start training. I'm going to get my kingdom back!" Declared Slime Princess.
"That's the spirit!" Cheered Patience.
Huntress Wizard came by the palace to pick Pacifica up for archery training. The two of them traveled to some nearby woods, where Huntress Wizard had set up some wooden targets. Huntress Wizard handed Pacifica a bow and some arrows.
"Let's begin." Said Huntress Wizard as took out her own bow and notched an arrow to it.
Pacifica watched Huntress Wizard take careful aim and then fired the arrow. The arrow flew through the air and hit the center of one of the targets.
"Now you try." Said Huntress Wizard as she put her bow to the side.
Pacifica notched an arrow to her bow and fired. The shot went wild and the arrow hit a tree next to the target. Huntress Wizard went over to Pacifica as she notched another arrow to, her bow and helped her steady her hands and take aim. Pacifica fired and the arrow hit the left side of the target. The girl let out a frustrated cry as she notched another arrow to her bow and fired, but the arrow only flew a few yards and hit the ground.
"It's no use! I can't do this, I'm terrible!" Cried Pacifica in frustration.
"Don't be hard on yourself. No one is good at archery their first time. Believe it or not I was a terrible shot, when I first started out." Said Huntress Wizard.
"Really...?" Asked Pacifica.
"Really. Now why don't you tell me what's eating you up. I'm your teacher, so you can tell me anything." Said Huntress Wizard.
So Pacifica told Huntress Wizard about, her life, how she and her family ended up in the virtual world, the emotion abuse she got from her father that made her have self esteem problems, and how Dipper was the one that saved her and comforted her on several occasions.
"I came to the real world to be with Dipper and to find myself. I wanted to prove that I was more then a rich girl and that I was capable of doing great things, but now that I'm here I feel like I'm out of my depth. Everyone else is strong and has some kind of useful skill, but I don't. I rely on others to help me, which makes me the most useless member of the group." Said Pacifica.
"That isn't true, you have the ability to use the Celestial Spirit Gate Keys to summon Aquarius and Taurus. Not just anybody can summon a Celestial Spirit and form contracts with them. Your strong Pacifica." Said Huntress Wizard.
"But I'm relying on their power. I'm not strong enough to do anything. I'm afraid that my weakness will one day get the people I care about hurt or killed and it'll be my fault." Said Pacifica looking sad.
Huntress Wizard bent down and placed both her hands on Pacifica's shoulders and looked her straight in the eye.
"Then I will make you strong. So you can live a happy life and protect the one you love, so that one day you will not anyone to know that you are strong. So one day you won't have to fear anymore."
"You...think I can be strong?" Asked Pacifica.
"You can be strong, but only when you stop being afraid and stop doubting yourself. Your have a song heart Pacifica and if you follow it, there is nothing you can't do." Said Huntress Wizard.
"Alright. No more being afraid. No more doubting myself. I'm going to be strong for Dipper and all the others." Said Pacifica as she notched an arrow to her bow and faced one of the targets.
Huntress Wizard gently guided Pacifica's hands a little and then backed away from he. Pacifica focused on the target and fired. The arrow flew through the air and hit the target dead center.
"I did it!" Gasped Pacifica.
"Congratulations on your first bullseye. It's your first step to becoming a great archer. Good job Pacifica." Said Huntress Wizard.
Pacifica smiled feeling pride in herself. She was determined to become stronger, so she could protect the people she cared about.
Back at the palace, Gideon was in his room, wondering when his magic lessons would begin, when suddenly the mark Bill had placed on his hand became visible and a portal opened up before him. Gideon stared at the portal and then at the mark on his hand. The mark was glowing, so Gideon guessed that Bill had something to do with it.
"Looks like Bill came through for me." Thought Gideon as he stepped through the portal.
Gideon appeared in some kind of arena with a few rocks and pillars in the center. Off in the distance Gideon could see what appeared to be a large manor of some kind. A bunch of young humanoids wearing red robes with yellow stars stood around the arena. Laser Wizard appeared walking towards Gideon with four other beings behind him. Unlike the other beings in the arena these four wore different clothes and had a heir of authority about them.
"Ah Gideon glad your here. Allow me to introduce you to Ringo, Angelica, Koba, and Streak." Said Laser Wizard indicating the four beings behind him.
Ringo was a humanoid with light pink skin, and had golden brown hair styled in a ring. He wore a burgundy kimono, brown shorts, a white apron, black boots, and rectangular grey rimmed glasses.
(Author's Note: Ringo is from Steven Universe.)
Angelica had light blue skin, long whit smooth hair, and a wore a white dress and mini skirt. She also had two golden keys and one silver key hanging from a silver chain on her right arm.
Koba was a black skinned lizard person with red eyes and red stripes that ran along his back and he dressed in a black robe.
Streak was a orange cat wearing running shoes and a red jogging suit.
"So before we begin training, I have a little something for you to help you harness your powers." Sad Laser Wizard as he reached into his pocket and handed Gideon a golden pendent with a chain on it.
Gideon examine the pendent. It was mostly gold, with a purple swirling pattern that seemed to be moving towards a black center.
"This is black hole pendent. It's a powerful magical item I got from a powerful witch named Maja and I think it will help you focus and use your powers." Said Laser Wizard.
Gideon put the pendent around his neck.
"Now for your training, I shall have you fight Streak. If you beat him, you will have a position of command over these young wizards." Said Laser Wizard.
"Alright sounds good to me, but how do I use my powers?" Said Gideon.
"Oh you'll just have to figure that out on your own. Now begin." Said Laser Wizard as he and the other wizard backed away from Gideon and Streak.
"This will be over in a flash!" Laughed Streak as he flew at Gideon with super speed.
Gideon tried to dodge out of the way, but Streak slammed into him and knocked him to the ground. The boy quickly scrambled to his feet and tried to keep track of Streak, but he was to fast. Streak ran around and slammed into Gideon a few more times knocking him around and frustrating Gideon. Gideon gritted his teeth in anger at the situation and the dirt around his feet began to lift up and hover around him.
"Good. Good. Let the hate flow through you. Use it to crush your enemy." Said Laser Wizard.
Gideon let his hate flow through him and he felt himself connect to his power. Streak made another charge at Gideon, but before he could slam into him, the gravity around Gideon became much denser and heavier and the next thing Streak knew, he was smashed into the ground a few feet from Gideon and his body felt heavy. Gideon stared at Streak and an evil grin appeared on his face as he pointed a hand at him. Streak felt weightless as he was suddenly lifted into the air and then he was sent flying and crashing into one of the pillars. The cat wizard laid on the ground in an unconscious heap. All the other wizards stared at Gideon in shock and awe.
"Well done my young apprentice. You have learned to use your anger, which will make you strong. You have earned the right and position of command of these wizards. Soon you will be one of the strongest wizards ever." Said Laser Wizard.
"I am the greatest!" Declared Gideon with pride.
A portal opened up before Gideon and he stepped through it to return to his room in the palace.
Wizards of both good and evil were becoming stronger.
To be continued.
