Chapter 178 Daughter of Darkness

(Author's Not: These next two chapter are just introducing a new character. It's Chi from Grim Tales. Hope you enjoy.)

The multiverse is full of many strange universe that served as the homes for both good and evil. One of the evil beings was a shadowy shapeshifter named Aku. Aku was an ally to the Lich and had aide him in his war against the Cosmic Owl and his forces. The Lich and his forces lost the war and Aku was banished to another dimension and imprisoned there and was unable to travel to other dimensions. Aku conquer a planet and created a city he called Aku City. As time went by Aku though about his life. He had once been a part of a gigantic shadowy mass that went by the name Ultimate Evil. It had terrorize the people of Universe 18 and went unposed for many years, until one day three gods by the names of Odin, Ra, and Vishnu set out to destroy the Ultimate Evil. A massive battle was fought and the gods destroyed the evil entity, however a small chunk of it manage to float away and drifted towards planet Earth. The chunk went through the atmosphere and crashed into the planet's surface becoming a large black splotch. The Earth was a lush planet with dinosaurs roaming it, with volcanos, forest, jungles, oceans, mountains, and a few tar pits. The new splotch looked like a tar pit and like a tar pit it sucked in anything that was unfortunate enough to fall into it.

Millions of years went by and the splotch had stretched out and continue to absorb anything that fell into it. It was a dark force of nature, with no real desire or motivation. It had a vague memory of being a part of something bigger, but nothing else. The splotch simply existed and consumed. Time went by and a new race of creatures called humans began to roam the Earth and creat kingdoms. The splotch became weary of the humans and surrounded itself with a forest of black rock spires to protect it's center as it continued to spread. The Emperor of a nearby kingdom saw what a danger the spreading splotch presented to his people, so he armed himself with a bow and some magic elixir he got from a monk and he set out to the splotch with a good number of his men to destroy the threat. The group charged into the forest and towards the center of the splotch. The men that were with the Emperor, were killed by rising spikes, but the Emperor made it to the center. The Emperor took out his bow, put some elixir on the head of an arrow, chanted some magic words and fired. The arrow hit the center and sank into it. At first nothing happened, but then something completely unexpected happened. The contents of the elixir mixed with the darkness, but instead of killing anything, a new life was born. The darkness gathered to form a shape and a monstrous shape rose up before the Emperor. The new being was a black demon that was several stories in height. He had big pointy shoulders and six horns bending upwards sticking out of his head. The demon had a green and monkey-like face with sharp teeth, a open white nose, and big eyes. He also had a beard and eyebrows made out of fire.

The new demon declared it's name was Aku and he said the Emperor's attempt to destroy him had resulted in his new life. The Emperor tried to fight the demon, but his weapons proved useless against him. Aku then tied the Emperor to one of the rock spires, so he could bare witness to Aku destroying the kingdom. The Emperor watched helpless as the demon went to cause havoc. As the Emperor was prepared to give into despair a giant magical horse freed him from, his bonds and took him to a cave with three monks in it. In a flash of light the gods that had defeated the Ultimate Evil appeared and possessed the monks who began to forge a sword. Soon the sword was ready and the gods explained that the sword was made of righteousness a had the power to harm and beat Aku. The gods also gave the Emperor new armor and a magical flying cloud to help him in battle. With the sword in hand the Emperor flew off to battle Aku. The Emperor and Aku engaged each other in battle, which ended in the Emperor stabbing Aku and absorbing his evil darkness into the sword, he then stabbed the sword into the Earth banishing Aku deep underground. Aku vowed he would returned as he vanished into the Earth.

A few years later Aku returned and went after the Emperor and captured him. Aku then began to build an empire unaware that the Emperor's wife and son had escaped with the magic sword. The Emperor had secretly constructed a plan for his son and wife to follow, if Aku ever returned. The son began training and learning how to fight as a samurai, until he was grown up. The Empress gave her son the magic sword and he returned to his homeland to fight Aku. At first Aku didn't consider the samurai a threat, until he struck him with the sword and injured him. The two then fought and Aku was on the losing in on the fight. Aku was on the ground with the samurai standing over him with the sword, prepared to finish him off. In desperation Aku used his powers to tear open a portal in time and send the samurai to the future. The samurai appeared a few hundred years in the future, in a world that was controlled by Aku. Aku learned about the samurai's arrival and went about trying to kill him by sending all manors of robots, bounty hunters, and other kinds of creatures after him, but the samurai, who was now going by the name Jack defeated all of them. This enraged Aku enough to try and go after Jack, himself, but the fight would always result in Aku fleeing the scene. Jack spent his time looking for a way to return to the past and undo Aku's future. At one point Aku transformed himself into a green skin women with black hair named Ikra and aided Jack on a quest for a magical gem. Ikra was simply a disguise Aku used to trick Jack. Once they got the gem Ikra smashed it and revealed herself to be Aku, before he flew away.

Time went by and at one point Aku sent one of his strongest minions after Jack. That minion was named Demongo the Soul Collector. Demongo was a necromancer and he had the ability to collect the souls of fallen warriors and bring them back to life and whenever those warriors were defeated, their souls simply returned to him and he brought them back to life to continue fighting. Jack faced Demongo and his army in an intense battle and after study his enemy and how he worked, he grabbed ahold of the soul of a defeated warrior and let it drag him into Demongo's body. The samurai then freed all the warrior souls from Demongo's magic freeing them from the necromancer's powers and bringing them all to life. The freed warriors then attacked Demongo and forced him to flee. Demongo returned to Aku begging him for forgiveness and to give him another chance at Jack. Aku replied by saying no as he crushed Demongo's body in his giant hand and used his magic to reduce the necromancer to a tiny black ball with blue flames and a face. Demongo was reduced to being a servant and laughingstock.

A few years went by and after some careful planning, Aku managed to kill Jack and claim, his sword as his own. The defeat of his enemy pleased Aku, yet saddened him a little. Jack had been one of the only people to truly offer Aku a challenge and the two had shared a past with each other. With Jack gone there was hardly anyone, who could oppose Aku and give him a challenge. Aku began to grow board of his empire, so one day he decided to explore the multiverse and see what universes and challenges it had to offer him. It was during these travels that he met a minion of a being called End, though he went by the name Lich as well. The minion told Aku that the Lich was gathering some of the most evil beings in the multiverse for something big. Aku was interested and he followed the minion to the Lich's lair. It was there that he meet a few other villains, like Him, Bill, and Beast. The Lich then explained that he wanted to destroy the multiverse and create a new one in his own evil image and if the villains helped him they could have several of their own universe to do with as they pleased, but a being called the Cosmic Owl and his forces of good stood in way. The assembled villains agreed to help the Lich. Aku went back to his own universe to gather his forces and prepare for war. Demongo ended up accompanying Aku's forces and got the attention of the Lich. The evil being took pity on Demongo and used his powers to steal souls from one of the Dead Worlds and put them into Demongo restoring his powers and original form.

The war began and it was a fierce war for the fate of the multiverse. Demongo, Bill, Beast, and several other evil beings were trapped in a magic book knocking them out of the fight. The Cosmic Owl took on a humanoid form to battle the Lich, fattily wounding him, by taking parts of his core out and forcing him to turn into a comet and flee into space. The Cosmic Owl then used his powers to banish Him and Aku to different universes. Aku found himself in Universe 56, a universe with very little life in it. The shapeshifter of darkness tried to escape by opening a dimensional portal, but when he tried to enter it he was thrown out. Aku was trapped. Millions of years went by and Aku used that time to conquer the few inhabitants of the universe and create Aku City. As time went by Aku became a bit depressed and board. He spent his time lounging around his palace in a long grey and red toga. Sometimes, he changed into Ikra and do stuff like gardening or knit clothes. It was coming apparent that Aku was growing tired of his life and that he was kind of lonely, with no one to really spend time with. Then one day Aku got a dimensional call from Him. Him told Aku that he was trapped on Universe 622, a universe home to various super powered beings that fought evil. Aku told him, where he was and the two just talked. Him explained that he couldn't travel to any of the other dimensions, but he was able to find a dark dimension in the universe he was in and he used it as he base. He called the dimension The Land of Tainted Souls. Time went by and Aku nod Him spent it by doing their various hobbies and calling one another from time to time. Then one day Him called Aku and told him about this evil plan he had to produce an heir. This gave Aku inspiration. Aku planned to produce an heir of his own. For years he had used his powers to create minions and to severe small parts of his body to power machines, but what he planned to do now was different. Aku began to change into Ikra and while in mid transformation, he severed a small part of his body off and placed it on the ground. Ikra appeared and ordered the minions to bring her ingredients to make an elixir similar to the one the Emperor had used long ago. The ingredients were gathered and Ikra mixed them together to make the elixir in a bowl. Ikra studied the bowl and the severed part of darkness. She felt like she should add something special to the mix. Ikra summoned one of her servant girls over to the bowl and ordered her to give her, her hand. The servant girl did as she was told and Ikra poked her finger with a needle causing, her to bleed and drip some blood into the bowl.

"Everyone please leave. I wish to do this in private." Said Ikra.

The servant girl sucked on her as she and the other servants left the room. Ikra then pulled out a dagger and put the blade in the bowl getting the liquid on it. She then took the dagger out and careful stuck it into the severed piece of darkness. The darkness sucked the dagger in and it vanished from sight. Ikra watched the darkness expecting her heir to be born in a similar fashion like Aku. Instead the darkness gathered together and formed a shape. The shape was a naked baby with closed eyes. Ikra starred at the baby in a mix of awe and confusion. The baby was mostly pitch black like Aku, but it had a humanoid pale white face, with four little hors sticking out of the side of it's head. It had a small bit of fiery ginger hair on it's head and two fiery orange eyebrows. Ikra watched as the baby's chest moved as it took on it's first breath of life and began to cry a little. This was completely unexpected! Ikra had expected a fully grown being, not a baby. She carefully reached down and picked the child up to study. On closer study the child appeared to be a girl. The baby then opened her eyes revealing them to be green. Ikra starred at the baby in wonder as it raised it's little arms to her. Ikra offered the child one of the fingers of her hand and the baby grasped it. The little girl began to babble happily as it held it's mother's finger. Ikra smiled at her new daughter.

"I suppose I should give you a name. Your a girl, so I don't think Aku Junior would work and you don't look like a Minnie Ikra either." Said Ikra.

Ikra glanced around the room for some kind of inspiration. There were a few vases full of flowers and some decorative tapestries with dragons and other animals, but none of them fit for a girl's name. Ikra's eyes then landed on the bowl and saw a bit of blood on the rim. It was then that she was hit by inspiration. The Japanese word for blood was chi. Chi was a good name.

"I'm going to call you Chi." Said Ikra.

The newly named Chi gurgled happily at the name. Little did Aku/Ikra know was that Chi was going to live an interesting life and form an interesting bond with another girl and that girl was Mimi.
