Chapter 179 Black and Red 1

(Author's Note: Hey folks decided to make the Chi part of the story into three chapters instead of two. Hope you enjoy.)
Eleven years went by since Chi was born and in that time Aku/Ikra raised Chi and basically spoiled her. Aku greatly loved his daughter greatly and Chi loved him back in return. Having a child seemed to mellow Aku out, since he committed fewer acts of evil and cruelty. Chi's had grown and she had taken an interest in Japanese culture. Her hair had grown out, until it reached her knees, with bangs and two long tendrils departed from the rest of her hair. Chi had sharp teeth that were the same as her father's teeth. She usually wore a long pink kimono, with darker pink trimmings covered in rectangular swirl designs. Her head was usually adorned with a pink waterlily along with two long strings attached to two of the spikes on her head, ending in red plumps. She also wore pink socks with sandals and a gold bracelets on he arms.
Chi seemed to lack her father's shape shifting abilities, which upset her a little, but Aku assured her, she would one day have the power. Chi picked up a few other skills and interest. She had a remarkable singing voice, so she became a pop idol and she learned to shoot guns and became a great sharpshooter. Chi also became a fan of anime and Disney princesses and she sent her father's servants out to get her DVDs and various costumes to dress up in.
Then one day, while Him and Aku were having one of their dimensional calls, Jeff happened to be in Him's office, when he heard Aku mention his daughter and this gave Jeff an idea.
"You know sir, I think it would be swell, if we set up a play date for Mimi and Chi." Said Jeff.
"That's a good idea. It'll be good for Chi to have a friend, her own age." Said Aku.
"Fine, but Chi is coming to my realm." Said Him.
"Very well. I'll send her to your realm." Said Aku.
Aku told Chi about the play date, which excited her. Chi was hardly ever allowed to go to other dimensions and when she did, she was always accompanied by a large group of minions and only saw small part of the other dimensions. The princess of darkness was also curious about meeting a girl, her own age and making friends with her. Aku instructed Chi to be on her best behavior and that he'd be sending a dozen minions along with her just encase of trouble. Aku then changed into Ikra and brushed Chi's hair and helped her pick out a short kimono to wear. Chi had the minions gather a bunch of various games and activities to bring to The Land of Tainted Souls, including a karaoke machine and some nail products.
"Alright I'm ready to go." Said Chi.
"Have fun sweetie." Said Ikra as she gave Chi a quick hug.
A dimensional portal opened up and Chi and the minions went through it. The group soon arrived in The Land of Tainted Souls and made their way to Him's palace. They soon arrived in Him's office, where they met Him and Jeff.
"Greetings Lord Him. I am Princess Chi. My father Aku thanks you for allowing me to come to your realm to meet your daughter." Said Chi with a bow.
"So your the daughter of Aku. Very well then, Jeff will take you to my daughter Mimi." Said Him who board expression as he casually waved Chi off.
Chi felt her temper rise at the way Him addressed her and thought about yelling at the red demon and threatening him, with the pistols she had hidden in her kimono, but realized that would go against her father's wishes of being on her best behavior. The princess just scowled a little at Him, before she and the minions followed Jeff out of the office. Chi told the minions she didn't need them to follow, her to meet Mimi and that if she got into any trouble or if she needed anything, she would call upon them. Jeff took the stuff Chi had brought from one of the minions and lead Chi outside the palace and towards some large rocks. On the way there Chi heard someone playing a flute.
"So what can you tell me about Mimi? Is there anything I need to know?" Asked Chi.
"Well Mimi is very nice, though she's going through a rough transition since her father brought her and me here. You'll be the first friend her own age, so she'll be excited about that. She doesn't talk, much, but she's very smart and I suppose the things you shouldn't bring up or ask questions about, are her mother, her stepdad, her aunts, or any of her old friends. They're all touchy subjects for her." Said Jeff.
"Whys that?" Asked Chi.
"Well...they're all...dead." Said Jeff.
That got Chi's attention and she was fixing to ask for more details, but then she saw a look in Jeff's eyes that told her, he wasn't comfortable about talking about it since they were going to see Mimi. Chi decided to drop the question for now as they continued walking. The flute music go louder as they reached the rocks. Jeff and Mimi looked up at one of the rocks and saw a red skinned girl playing a flute.
"Hey Mimi, come down, there's someone I like you to meet." Called Jeff.
Chi watched as the red girl jumped down and landed before her and Jeff. The princess got her first good look at Mimi and she was impressed. Mimi had a strong attractive looking body that had an heir of power about her, but it was her eyes that caught Chi's attention. The eyes were red and they seemed to be filled with sadness and a bit of indifference in them, but there also seemed to seem to have intelligence and a fire of defiance in them as well. Chi felt like the eyes were analyzing her.
"I brought you a new friend Mimi." Said Jeff.
"Please to meet you Mimi. I am Princess Chi and it's very nice to meet you." Said Chi.
Mimi didn't reply with words or bowing. Instead she suddenly pounced on Chi knocking her to the ground. Chi was surprised and speechless as she laid on the ground and Mimi rubbed her head against Chi's chest and her dinosaur tail wagged back and forth excitedly.
"Would you please get off of me!" Shouted Chi with a bit of anger.
Mimi looked at Chi and quickly hopped off of her. Jeff quickly set the stuff down and offered Chi, his hand. Chi looked at the hand and then took it. The spider helped Chi up.
"I'm so sorry about that, you have to forgive Mimi. She got a bit over excited, that's all." Apologized Jeff.
"Sorry." Said Mimi looking a little embarrassed as she bowed.
"It's...alright. I'll let it slide." Said Chi as she dusted herself off a little.
"So Chi, what do you want to do first?" Asked Jeff.
"Well how about a little karaoke? I'll go first." Said Chi as she went through the things she brought and found the karaoke machine and grabbed a microphone.
Chi turned the machine on and picked Single Ladies By: Beyonc'e and began to sing. Mimi and Jeff watched Chi sing with awe. A few minutes later the song was over and Chi took a bow. Mimi and Jeff clapped for Chi and she smiled at the attention.
"Alright it's your turn Mimi." Said Chi as she hands Mimi the microphone.
Mimi took the microphone and went over to the machine and scrolled through the songs. She selected Stronger By: Kelly Clarkson. The song began to play and Mimi stood there opening and closing, her mouth, but no real words or sounds came out of it. Chi and Jeff watched the silent girl, until the song was over.
"We'll...that was kind of awkward. I know Mimi can talk, so why didn't she sing? It should have loosened her up a little." Thought Chi.
"You did good Mimi." Said Jeff as he tried to be comforting.
"Why don't you pick what we do next Mimi." Said Chi.
This excited Mimi and she went over to Chi's stuff to look through it. A few minutes later she returned with a game of Twister. Chi removed her socks and sandals and Mimi remove her boots. Jeff spread out the tarp and grabbed the spinner. The big spider spun the spinner and began to tell the girls what to do. Soon Chi and Mimi were in a tangle of limbs. Chi was underneath Mimi and she couldn't help, but admire her flexibility and stamina. Chi then felt her limbs give in and she fell onto the tarp.
"I have to admit, your pretty good at this." Said Chi as she pushed herself up and began to crawl out from the still standing Mimi.
Chi then looked up and accidentally looked up Mimi's dress and saw that she wore bright pink panties. The princess felt her cheeks blush with a bit of embarrassment as she quickly looked away and crawled out from underneath Mimi.
"I apologize...for that bit...of unladylike behavior!" Said Chi as she bowed her head and got to her feet.
Mimi just stood up and simply shrugged her shoulders.
"Ok." Said Mimi.
Chi decided to pick the next activity and she pulled out a Go board complete with black and white stones and set it up. The princess took the black stones and then she handed the white stones to Mimi. She then explained the rules of the game and after explaining the two began to play. Mimi did ok, her first time, but Chi had been taught by, her father and had been playing the game for a few years, so she ended up winning. Chi was fixing to tell Mimi to pick another activity, Mimi just pointed at the Go board indicating she wanted to play again. The princess agreed and they played another game of Go, but this time Mimi won. Chi was startled by this and figured it was just beginners luck, so she challenged Mimi to another game. They played and this time it took Chi a bit more strategy and effort to beat Mimi. Chi was both perplexed and excited by Mimi's game skills. Back at home Chi played against her father and the servants. The servants always lost to her, but Chi figured they purposely lost to her in order to keep her happy and her father let her win half the games they played to help keep her happy and boost her confidence, but it was different with Mimi. Mimi wanted to play a game and she was as determined to win it as much as Chi. Chi smiled at the thrill of playing against a real opponent, who simply wanted to play and win. They played another game and this time Mimi won. The score was tied and they decided to play one more game decide, who the winner would be. Chi and Mimi played intensely against one another and this time the game ended in a tie. The girls stared at the board for a few seconds and then Chi burst out laughing.
"Man that was the most fun I had out of this game! You really got some moves Mimi." Said Chi.
Mimi smiled a little and Chi found it to be a cute smile and it caused her to smile.
"Hey you smiled!" Said Chi as she pointed a finger at Mimi.
Mimi covered her face with a claw and looked away for a second, before she turned back to Chi and lowered her claw to show her normal calm expression.
"You really should smile more often. You have a great smile after all." Said Chi.
Mimi looked a bit uncertain about something and then she pointed at her father's house. Chi was unsure what that was supposed to mean. What did Mimi's father care about Mimi smiling? The princess was fixing to ask what Mimi was going on about, when her cellphone beeped telling her it was time to go home.
"Well I have to head home, you have a cellphone, so that we can exchange phone numbers?"
Mimi took Chi's phone and put, her number into it.
"I have to say I really enjoyed hanging out with you. You want to hangout again next week?" Said Chi.
Mimi nodded her head yes.
"Mimi would like that very much." Said Jeff.
"Awesome." Said Chi.
Jeff gathered the activists together and he and Chi headed back to the palace.
"So it looked like you and Mimi enjoyed yourselves." Said Jeff.
"We did. I have to admit I had some real fun with Mimi." Said Chi.
"Well that's good. It's good to see Mimi smile and be happy. She hasn't been happy since her mom died." Said Jeff.
"What...exactly happened anyway? You told me not to bring up Mimi's mom, her stepdad, her aunts, or any of her old friends and I want to know why." Said Chi.
"It's kind...of a long and tragic story. I'll tell you what happened, but not right now. Today was a good day and I don't want to bring it down with a sad story." Said Jeff.
"Fine, but I want to hear what happened at some point." Said Chi.
"Ok." Said Jeff.
They returned to the palace, where Chi met up with the minions and the returned to Aku City. Aku greeted, his daughter and asked if she had a good time with Mimi.
"I did. Mimi was kind of weird at first, but the more I hung out with, her and got to know her the more I liked her. I'm actually looking forward to seeing, her next week." Said Mimi.
"That's good to hear. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself sweetie." Said Aku.
Chi went to her room to prepare for bed. The princess looked at a wall that had a bunch of posters of female anime characters and Disney princesses. The idea of Mimi having a tragic past made Chi compare, her to some of the anime characters she'd seen. A bunch of the strong characters had tragic and sad past experiences, yet they didn't fall into despair and instead kept moving forward. Mimi seemed to be a little sad about some tragedy, yet she didn't let it keep, her from moving forward. This added a bit of mystery to Mimi and this interested Chi. Chi changed into some pajamas and fell asleep.
The next week came by and Chi went to see Mimi. Chi wanted to explore The Land of Tainted Souls, so Chi and Jeff lead, her on one of the safe paths through the realm. The Land of Tainted Souls, wasn't really much, there were a bunch of sharp rocky mountains, a few rivers of lava, and various demons and monsters running about. The only thing really exciting that happened on the tour was a massive Lava Monster rose out of one of the lava rivers and said hello to Mimi and Jeff, before sinking back into the lava. The group then came across a valley.
"What's this?" Asked Chi as she went over to the edge to look down at the valley.
"That's Vile Valley, it's where Him keeps some of his nastier monsters." Said Jeff.
"Really? I don't see anything." Said Chi as she leaned in closer.
It was then that the ground beneath, her gave out and Chi slid down the valley wall with a surprised shout. Chi soon hit the ground with a thud and a groan. The princess stumbled to her feet a little dirty and roughed up, but not seriously hurt. Chi looked up at the wall and saw Jeff and Mimi looking down at her.
"I'm ok! Please come get me!" Yelled Chi up to her friends.
"HHHHIIIIIISSSS!" Came a noise from behind Chi.
Chi turned to see a massive demonic looking three headed red snake a few yards behind her. A shot of fear and adrenaline went through Chi's body and she quickly pulled out both her hidden pistols and began shooting at the monster. Chi's shots hit the middle head in the face and a couple of the bullets hit the head's right eye, however this did little to harm the monster and the shots only seemed to enrage it. The middle head let out an enraged roar and lunged at Chi. The princess stared at the onrushing jaws with fear as regrets went through her mind. She would never get another chance to hug her mother/father again, she would never get a chance to grow up or fall in love, and she would never see anymore dimensions or make any new friends. Chi closed, her eyes and waited for the painful end. But it never came. Instead Chi felt something grab her and jump into the air. Chi opened, her eyes in confusion and saw that Mimi was carrying, her bridal style and jumping up the valley wall with superhuman speed and strength away from the monster. The head that had lunged at, her was now smashed into the wall, but it was pulling itself up.
"You...saved me." Said Chi a bit stunned and amazed by the rescue.
"Save friend." Said Mimi as she continued up the valley wall.
Chi sat in Mimi's arms, her heart beating wildly in her chest, but it wasn't from fear. It was with excitement and joy. The monster let out a roar as it slithered up the wall after Mimi and Chi. Chi felt a small sense of panic go through, yet she somehow knew, that she was perfectly safe, in Mimi's arms. The monster caught up with the fleeing girls and the head on the right lunged at them. Mimi saw it coming and leaped to the side to avoid it and delivered a powerful kick to it's face knocking out one of the monster's fangs. The middle head lunged at Mimi, but she leaped over it and the right head lunged at her. Mimi flipped through the air over the head's jaws and used the monster's head as a springboard to leap up to the valley wall and land next to Jeff. The monster let out a roar and continued to slither up the wall towards the girls and the spider. Mimi set Chi on the ground and leaped down at the monster. Chi stood unsteadily got to her feet and Jeff helped steady her.
"Are you ok?" Asked Jeff.
"I am. Thanks to Mimi. That was amazing!" Said Chi as she watched Mimi face off against the monster.
Mimi flew at the monster and as she reached it, a fridge suddenly appeared in her claws and she smashed it into the middle head dazing it. The other two heads lunged at Mimi, but she expertly dodged them and jumped about. The middle head recovered and soon all three heads were going after Mimi. Chi watched in awe as Mimi gracefully dodged the monster's heads as if they were moving in slow motion. Watching Mimi fight the monster, was like something out of the anime Chi watched and it excited her. Mimi continued to dodge about, until all three heads were tangled up and none of the head's were able to move forward.
"That was incredible! Mimi is so awesome and hot!" Said Chi excitedly.
"Hot?" Asked Jeff looking a little confused.
"Um...I'm meant to say cool." Said Chi quickly.
"Ok." Said Jeff with a shrug.
Mimi got behind the monster and grabbed it, by it's tail and with a mighty yank and a swing she hurled the monster from the wall and sent it flying deep into the valley. The monster let out a panicked roar as it flew away and vanish from sight. Mimi dusted herself off and rejoined her friends on the wall.
"Good job Mimi. Though I disapprove of violence, you saved Chi's life and stayed safe and that's all that counts." Said Jeff.
"You ok?" Asked Mimi as she looked at Chi.
"I'm totally fine thanks to you. That was amazing what you did back there Mimi. You clobbered that monster and saved my life. Your an awesome friend Mimi and I'm glad to have you." Said Chi as she went over to her and gave, her a hug.
Mimi was a bit surprised by the hug, but she returned it back to Chi. Chi was also surprised by the hug, other then, her mother/father Chi had never hugged anyone else, yet she was hugging Mimi and it felt right. Mimi had put her self at risk by rescuing Chi and fighting the monster. Chi was amazed by Mimi's actions and the grace, she showed off, when battering the monster. The princess felt her heart beating wildly in her chest as she disengaged the hug and began to stared at Mimi's face and take stock of it's features. Mimi had a really beautiful face, when Chi took the time to study it. For just a brief second Chi thought about thanking Mimi, with a kiss on the lips, but then she decided against it. She didn't want to do anything that would jeopardize the moment and make things awkward with, her friend.
"You know what let's head back to the palace and let me give you a pedicure, your earned it and it's the least I can do for you." Said Chi as she took Mimi's right claw in her hand and they began to head back to the palace.
Mimi seemed to like that idea and she smiled a little. Jeff followed close behind. Chi cast a glance at Mimi and felt a spark of joy and a few other emotions go through her as she looked at the red girl. The princess was a bit confused about her new emotions towards her friend, but she didn't feel any fear towards them either. Chi was beginning to feel a strong romantic attraction to her friend and she was curious about where her emotions were going to take her.
