Chapter 195 Magical Discussion 2

In the Capitol, several of the strongest magic users in Wizard City were gathered for a meeting around a large table. This was the Magic Council and it consisted of Grand Master Wizard, Simon, Sea Sorceries, Rock Wizard, Lizard Wizard, Sand Witch, Peace Master, Brain Wiz, Dimensional Wizard, Gentleman Wizard, and Toadblatt. Hunter Wizard, Neo, and Huntress Wizard were also attending the meeting along with Jake, Jermaine, and Gata. Huntress Wizard had sent Pacifica and Dipper away to go have some free time. GMW banged a gavel on the table calling the meeting to order.
"Thank you all for coming to this meeting. We have a couple of big issues to discuss and I'll let Simon take point." Said GMW.
"Thank you Grand Master." Said Simon as he stood up and prepared to speak.
Huntress Wizard glanced over at Gentleman Wizard and scowled. Gentleman Wizard had a board uninterested look on his face as he waited for Simon to begin speaking. The female wizard then turned her attention to Neo who stood a few feet behind Gentleman Wizard. She had heard about the samurai bodyguard and couldn't help, but think about Tobe. Both the samurai and the ninja used swords as their primary weapons and they both had an heir of calm that skillfully hid an alertness. Neo was calm, but Huntress Wizard could see the samurai was ready to spring into action at a moment's notice.
"As you are all aware there is a great threat of war breaking out in Ooo between the Candy Kingdom and Fire Kingdom, due to some rash actions by Queen Bubblegum. Bubblegum felt threatened by the Fire Kingdom and became concerned for her kingdom. She came up with a plan to cool the inner lava flows of the Fire Kingdom, which caused a great cooling that killed hundreds of fire people and destroyed several buildings. Flame King asked myself and Bubblegum for help and we both arrived on the scene. Bubblegum got Phoebe, the Flame Princess to take her to the lower chambers of the palace and into a chamber where the Fire Kingdom's most powerful weapons were kept. These weapons were the Fire Giants and they were Bubblegum's real goal. The cooling of the lava flows was to get the Fire Kingdom to call upon Bubblegum for help, so she could get into the chamber and disable the Fire Giants. Phoebe caught her in the act and confronted. Bubblegum then decided to use her tech to fight Phoebe and destroy the Fire Giants. She nearly succeeded, but luckily my friend Patience and Slime Princess arrived on the scene and stopped and captured her. As for myself I found a couple of Bubblegum's elite candy warriors to be responsible for the cooling and I captured them. I then convince Flame King that killing Bubblegum on the spot would be wrong and that a trial and a conference to discuss what should be done should be held. The damage report for the Fire Kingdom is nearly complete and the committee to oversee the trial and conference has been chosen." Said Simon.
"Well thanks for that little recap and report, but what does this have to do with us? The only members of that committee are you and Grand Master Wizard. The issues between the Fire Kingdom and Candy Kingdom doesn't concern us." Said Gentleman Wizard.
"Well the ruler of my kingdom is also on the committee, so this trial does concern me." Said Lizard Wizard.
"Your ruler? Your one of the strongest wizards in Ooo and you take orders from a magic less mortal." Said Gentleman Wizard.
"My ruler happens to be a very respectful princess and wise ruler for her people. I demand that you show her respect!" Snarled Lizard Wizard.
"Oh did I touch a nerve? It might be true that your ruler is a good leader, but in the end, she is just another person with a royal title, who has no real power. Much like most of the other foolish royals of Ooo. I think it's high time for a change." Said Gentleman Wizard.
"What are you getting at?" Asked Peace Master.
"Why that we should be in charge of all of Ooo." Said Gentleman Wizard.
"That's insane!" Said Sea Sorceries.
"Oh really? Think about it, we have all these powers at our command and they practically puts us on par with gods. The royals should be bowing to us and taking orders from us. Their petty squabbles are beneath us." Said Gentleman Wizard as he looked at the other wizards.
"You are wrong about several things Gentleman Wizard." Said Simon.
"And whys that?" Asked Gentleman Wizard.
"Because though it might be true that we are indeed powerful, we are still mortal and capable of making mistakes. This world needs both mortals and magic users. The royals are flawed, but they are capable of fixing and overcoming their flaws the same as wizards. Your words of superiority have just shown us your greed for power and shows that your are very flawed. The issues between the Candy Kingdom and Fire Kingdom are a big concern for us because a war could happen between the two. So I suggest you kindly sit, listen, and be quit, until I'm done speaking. I also advise you to think carefully about your opinions of others." Said Simon.
Gentleman Wizard just grumbled as he sat back in his chair. Huntress Wizard and a fe other wizards smirked at this.
"A trial and conference will be held soon at Grand Meeting Hall. Several security measures are being taken to make sure nothing bad happens that could cause a international incident. I think it would be best for several of to attend the conference to help provide security along with several wizard police officers." Said Simon.
"Why all the extra security?" Asked Rock Wizard.
"I believe that dark forces will attack the conference somehow and cause the kingdoms to go to war and drag all of Ooo into it to weaken all forms of military and defenses in order to conquer all of Ooo. It is our duty as wizards to help protect Ooo from dark threats. I have children and I wish them to grow up in a world without war or enslaved by dark forces." Said Simon before he sat down.
"I agree with Simon and I will lend my power to assist in protecting the conference." Said Sea Sorceries.
"For the sake of the children." Said Peace Master.
There were nods of agreements from the other wizards. Toadblatt then stood up.
"Can I have my license back to teach magic?"
"Your license has been suspended to the end of the month. There will be a hearing then and we will consider giving you your license back." Said GMW.
"Fine." Muttered Toadblatt as he sat down.
Simon then pulled out a small block of something that was covered by a towel.
"Now there is another matter that needs to be discussed." He said as he pulled the towel off to reveal the frozen Thought Demon.
There were gasp among the wizards.
"Is that what I think it is?" Asked Brian Wiz.
Simon nodded his head and called Gata over to stand next to him.
"As you might recall the Magician Queen learned a new magic that opened up a portal to another dimension and unleashed the Thought Demons into our own dimension. These demons taught her about some new magic that warped her body and mind transforming her into the Demon Queen. She killed her husband and brought ruin to the Magician Kingdom, forcing us and several royals to join forces and put an end to her threat. We fought through her forces into the Demon Queen's lair where we banished her and all the Thought Demons back to the dimension they had originally come from. However those creatures are planning to return to our world."
"How can that be? There's no way for the Demon Queen to open a portal for herself and her minions." Said Dimensional Wizard.
"Apparently the Demon Queen had one last trick up her sleeve. A trick none of us couldn't have foreseen." Said Simon.
"What's that?" Asked Peace Master.
"This girl next to me is Gata. She is the stepsister of Jake, Jermaine, and Finn and the daughter of the Demon Queen." Said Simon.
"The Demon Queen's...daughter?" Asked Sea Sorceries.
"Yes. I don't know how she came to be, but I suspect that the Demon Queen created her to serve as the container for a portal that opens up to the Thought Demon dimension." Said Simon.
Simon then told the others what he learned about Gata from Jake and Jermaine.
"So what should we about this situation?" Asked Rock Wizard.
"Well I think it's obvious of what we should do. This wretched spawn of the Demon Queen needs to be destroyed, before the Demon Queen is unleashed upon Ooo." Said Gentleman Wizard.
"That is barbaric!" Said Lizard Wizard.
"Oh please it's simple logic. That thing has the power to unleash a horrible evil onto Ooo. It's one life versus all the people in Ooo." Said Gentleman Wizard.
"His logic does make a good point." Said Brain Wiz.
"Enough! There will be no killing. Gata is an innocent being, who has a right to live as much as anyone else does." Said Simon.
"Yeah that's our sister your talking about." Said Jake.
"You mess with her you mess with us." Said Jermaine as he pounded his fist in his hand.
"A life of one child isn't worth risking the future of Ooo. Think about the lives your putting at risk. The children of Ooo would be in great danger." Said Gentleman Wizard as he cast a glance at Peace Master.
Peace Master looked a bit concerned at this last comment and he pulled out his wallet to look at a picture of his three children. Gentleman Wizard smirked a little at the action, knowing he had won Peace Master over to his side.
"What do you propose we do Simon?" Asked Sea Sorceries.
"This is a magic problem that can be solved with magic. With our combined knowledge I'm sure we can quickly find a solution and help Gata." Said Simon.
"Well I say we take a vote on the matter. We should vote on either destroying Gata or saving her." Said Gentleman Wizard.
"Very well then." Said GMW.
Gata looked nervous, but Simon putting a hand on her shoulder and gave her a reassuring smile. The vote was then made. Gentleman Wizard, Toadblatt, Brain Wiz, and Peace Master voted to destroy Gata, while the other wizards voted to help her. Jake and Jermaine cheered at the outcome and Gata let out a sigh of relief. Gentleman Wizard gritted his teeth in frustration and stormed out of the room followed by Neo.
"This meeting is over. Now we shall see about helping Gata's situation." Said Grand Master Wizard.
GMW got together with Simon, Sea Sorceries, and Dimensional Wizard to discuss how to help Gata. Huntress Wizard and Hunter Wizard decided to take Jake, Jermaine, and Gata outside for a little fresh air. The other wizards went about their business.
In another part of the Capitol, Gentleman Wizard was angrily pacing around in a circle with Neo watching him. The angry wizard was soon joined by Toadblatt, Brain Wiz, and Peace Master, who weren't to happy about the outcome of the vote.
"Those fools and their sentiments are going to ruin us all! That child is a threat that must be eliminated at once." Said Gentleman Wizard.
"But the Council already voted." Said Peace Master.
"Then it's time we take matters into our own hands. We must do what needs to be done. The Council has grown weak and soft over the years and they allowed threats like Maja and the Secret Society to blossom and grow out of control. If I was in charge those threats would have been immediately dealt with before they became a problem." Said Gentleman Wizard.
"You...plan to kill the girl and takeover the Council?" Asked Toadblatt.
"In a matter of speaking, yes. Though I'm going to be smart about it. We need to kill the girl in a public place away from the Capitol. I will explain to the public why we did it and win over their trust and admiration. Public opinion about the Council will change and few members will be shoved out and we will rise up in power." Said Gentleman Wizard.
"Where do you plan to kill the girl?" Asked Brain Wiz.
"The shopping district." Said Gentleman Wizard.
"Aren't you afraid that someone might interfere?" Asked Neo.
"Oh I plan to have plenty of people to help me and make sure no one interferes." Said Gentleman Wizard as he pulled out a communication crystal and began to call Jordan to help him with his plan.
Jordan agreed to help and Gentleman Wizard grinned nastily. Things were fixing to look up for him.
In the shopping district, Bubblegum accompanied by her robotic swan, Slush, and a couple dozen of her gingerbread guards were walking down the streets. The candy ruler had given the wizard password several months back, so that she may enter the city. She was on a mission to find Gata and try to help her using her science. Little did the queen know was things were fixing to get hectic in the shopping district.
