Chapter 197 Life Choice

(Author's Note: Hello everyone you may recall that way back in chapter 181 I told you about a Fanfiction writer by the name of Commander M2 and how he ripped off this story and he wrote hate rants about my story at the end of his chapters. He never apologized to me for what he did and he kept writing reviews in which he questioned the story and made character demands. One of them being Peter Petrikov repeatedly. I decided to ban him from my stories to stop him from bothering me. Now Commander M2 has sunken to a whole new low. He has been sending me guest reviews using some of my followers names, I know it's him because he asked the same questions and made the same demands in previous reviews, so I deleted them. The names his used so far are Kaleb, Neo Deadmau5, nightmaremaster000, and Fiery Crusader. This action truly angered me and I thought you all needed to know about this. Sorry if this was a little long, I jut thought you all needed to know this. Enjoy the chapter.)
Jake and Jermaine watched in shock as Gata flew off on Bubblegum's swan. Jake quickly grabbed Jermaine and used his powers to stretch his legs and take off running after Gata. The crowd that had been in the shopping district of Wizard City and had bared witness to the battle and the defeat of Gentleman Wizard began to wander off as Grand Mater Wizard, Sea Sorceries, Rock Wizard, and Dimensional Wizard arrived on the scene. Simon and Huntress Wizard filled the others in on what happened.
"It appears you were right about Gentleman Wizard, granddaughter. I honestly hoped he would be a nobel wizard that would help governor our people. He'll be stripped of his council membership for this." Said Grand Master Wizard.
"He was unworthy of his position." Said Huntress Wizard.
"So you used Wizard Law on him?" Asked Sea Sorceries.
"I did. Things were getting out of hand, so I decided to end things quickly, those months of learning under the Grand Master Wizard, really paid off." Said Simon.
"It really has. I'm still learning the basics of the master's special magic." Said Sea Sorceries.
"So have you guys figure out how to help Gata?" Asked Dipper.
"We have though it's not a permanent solution." Said GMW.
Dimensional Wizard pulled out a necklace with a tiny dreamcatcher on it. The dreamcatcher had a tiny purple stone in the center.
"This pendent will allow the child to sleep, without having to worry about the portal opening up. She has to wear it in order for it to work. The portal will open back up if Gata falls asleep or becomes unconscious and she doesn't have the pendent on." Said Dimensional Wizard.
"So let's go find Gata and give the pendent to her." Said Pacifica.
"Not yet. Gata has run off and is clearly distressed about what happened here. Let Jake and Jermaine find and comfort her, when they sort everything out, they will come to us or calls us to wherever they end up. This is a family matter and we should give them some space." Said Simon.
The others reluctantly agreed. GMW went over to Bubblegum, who was overseeing her guards thaw out Slush with a small fire they set up next to him.
"I heard from the others that, you were spying on Jake, Jermaine, and Gata in the tree fort with a secret hidden camera, which explains your presence here. I'm also lead to believe that you have several hidden cameras placed around all of Ooo. Is this true?" Said GMW.
"It is." Said Bubblegum as she looked a bit shameful.
Simon went over and joined GMW and Bubblegum.
"Ah Bubblegum...this isn't good at all. The kingdoms and villages are already tense about the whole situation between your kingdom and the Fire Kingdom. Now you admit that you have a network of surveillance devices spread out through Ooo spying on people! People are going to freak and become agitated. You could lose basically every friendship and alliance you have with the neighboring kingdoms and villages. People are going to be furious at you." Said Simon.
"I know...that, but what if I shut it all down and we deny that it ever existed." Said Bubblegum.
"You want us to lie to the people, deny that your spy network ever existed, and forget about it." Said GMW with a scowl.
"I...know it sounds bad, but the current crisis is bad enough as it is. Telling people about my network will just make things worse. I give you my word that I'll shut every camera down and that I will never use them to spy on the other kingdoms and villages." Said Bubblegum as she gave the two wizards a pleading look.
"Fine. I suppose you make a point. Just shut everything down and promise not to do anything like this in the future." Said Simon.
"I royally promise." Said Bubblegum.
"Good." Said GMW.
The wizards decided to take the humans and Rain back to the Capitol and wait to be contacted by Jake and Jermaine. On the way there Dipper pulled Mabel for a little private talk.
"You saw that one of the people, who helped us out was Alcor." Said Dipper.
"Yeah he totally saved Wendy and then started kicking butt." Said Mabel with a grin.
"Did you see the people, he was with?" Asked Dipper.
"He was with three girls and a bird. One girl had cool flaming eyebrows, another girl had a pig nose and pigtails, and the last one was silver skinned." Said Mabel.
"I think we might have met some of those people before." Said Dipper.
"What do you mean?" Asked Mabel.
"Think about it. The girl with pigtails threw pies and piñatas filled with slime. That's something Nyx would do, not to mention that bird hung around, which means that was Ying. The silver girl was super strong and she had brown hair and green eyes. That was Samantha. She and Nyx were wearing disguises to blend into the city." Said Dipper.
"So who was the girl with flaming eyebrows?" Asked Mabel.
"Not sure, but the point is that Alcor was hanging and fighting alongside Nyx and Samantha, which means he works with the guys that attacked Gravity Falls. Alcor is an enemy and a villain!" Said Dipper.
"A villain?! Wait, if Alcor is a villain, why would he and those other people help us against Gentleman Wizard?" Said Mabel.
"Maybe it's a plow to make us drop our guard and earn our trust." Said Dipper.
"I don't know it seems like they were generally trying to help us. You going to tell Wendy about Alcor being a villain?" Said Mabel.
"She has a right to know and besides were, her friends." Said Dipper as he looked over at Wendy.
Dipper started to make, his way to Wendy with a slightly nervous look on his face, but he saw Simon wave him over and went to see what, he wanted.
"You seemed worried about something Mason. Why don't you tell me what's on " Said Simon using Dipper's real name.
Dipper let out a sigh and told Simon what he figured out about Alcor and that he was planning to tell Wendy what he knew. He then told the wizard about the dream encounters he, Mabel, and Wendy had with Alcor a couple of months back.
"I'm just...really confused about this. Alcor helped us out along with Nyx, Samantha, Ying, and that girl with the flaming eyebrows. I thought it might have been a plow to make us lower our guard, but now I'm not so sure." Said Dipper as he shacked his head.
"A confusing situation indeed. In books and movies we see villains as nothing more then evil beings, however that's not how things work in real life. Sometimes the ones allied with the enemy are more then just their allayment or label. They are individuals with their own personalities and wills and for whatever ever reason we find ourselves on opposing sides." Said Simon.
"So...what's to be done? Will we have to fight them?" Asked Dipper.
"Well I like to think that most beings have good inside them. I've meet some beings, who once fought alongside the side of evil, but over time they saw that was wrong and changed sides. Those people turned out to be Lance, William, and Henry. Perhaps Alcor and his friends are good hearted individuals, who just happen to be on the side of the enemy. So far they've helped you in the past and even went against their master's orders on one occasion to help you out. This could mean that they aren't fully loyal to their cause and maybe they'll change sides over time." Said Simon.
"I guess...that makes sense. People can change, I've seen that with Pacifica." Said Dipper.
"People can change." Agreed Simon.
Dipper took a deep breath and went over to Wendy. He told Wendy what he figured out about Alcor. At first Wendy seemed shocked by this news, but then she calmed down and relaxed.
"That's...a lot to take in." Said Wendy.
"I know." Said Dipper.
"I only got a brief look at those other girls, but from what I saw and from you told me, I know Samantha, Nyx, and Ying were there in the marketplace helping us out. Alcor and that girl with the flaming eyebrows were with them and they seemed to be together when they left. So that means Alcor works with that creep guy Bill, which makes him a villain." Said Wendy.
"It does, but I think he and the others helped us because they wanted to." Said Dipper.
"Yeah...they really helped us out back there against that wizard jerk. You...know it's kind of weird, but I just have this gut feeling that say to trust Alcor and that he would never hurt me." Said Wendy.
"Well I guess you should follow your gut, just be careful around Alcor whenever he shows up." Said Dipper.
"Trust me, if Alcor tries to pull anything, he'll regret it. I'll make sure of that." Said Wendy with a mischievous smile as she formed her righthand into a fist and punched the air.
Dipper smiled a little at this feeling a little better about the future. The group reached the Capitol and went inside.
In another part of Wizard City, Neo and Gentleman Wizard had arrived at Gentleman Wizard's mansion. Neo helped Gentleman Wizard to his master bedroom and carefully got him on the bed. Gentleman Wizard got into the fetal position and began to mumble and shake. The battle with Simon had left the rich wizard in a state of shock. Neo studied his former master and shook his head in slight disgust. Gentleman Wizard's condition was caused by his own actions and arrogance. Now the wizard was reduced to a mere shadow of his former self. Neo made a slight vow to seek a new purposes once Gentleman Wizard recovered a little or until he found someone to look after the wizard. The samurai walked away to go to the kitchen and prepare a cup of tea for himself and Gentleman Wizard. On the way there Neo noticed that the vault door to Gentleman Wizard's magical item collection was slightly open. Neo became curious, so he opened the door to see that all the magical items were gone. This was certainly turning out to be a bad day for Gentleman Wizard.
Miles away at Castle Lemongrab, Jordan and General Rabbit were reporting what they witnessed at the shopping district in Wizard City. While that was going on Specter Knight sat on the edge of the castle roof studying his locket. The magician said that he put a powerful enchantment on the locket that could turn Specter Knight back into a living being, but the undead knight was hesitant. There was always some kind of catch with magic and Specter Knight intended to find out what that was, before he used the locket's magic.
At the secret lair, Dimentio was out of his Florence disguise and talking to Nero about what he did and saw in Wizard City.
"So you gave this undead knight an enchantment to return anyone including himself back into their original form. This enchantment works on those who have been cursed by dark magic." Said Nero.
"That's right. I also put a spy spell on it, so I can see what King and his forces are up to." Said Dimentio.
"What made you want to help this guy out in the first place?" Asked Nero.
"Well I felt a little bad for him and I figured he would owe me one. I'll ask him to do me a favor later on." Said Dimentio.
"And what about this girl Gata?" Asked Nero.
"Well she's an interesting one. Gata is the stepsister of Finn and the daughter of the Magician Queen, who later turned into the Demon Queen and got banished to another dimension. Turns out Gata has the ability to open a portal to the dimension the Demon Queen was banished to whenever she falls asleep or loose consciousness." Said Dimentio.
"So I figure that Gata's ability might be something the organization plans to exploit for their plans." Nero.
"I was thinking the same thing. That's why I plan to secretly teach, Gata to unlock her potential and give her a fighting chance against, her mother." Said Dimentio.
"What about Neddy?" Asked Nero.
"I already set him on the path to learning how to use some of his powers. There's only a few things I can teach him with Bubblegum and Crimson around." Said Dimentio.
"You make a good point. I wish you good luck, with your new student." Said Nero.
"Thank you." Said Dimentio.
In another part of the lair, Nyx and her group had just returned. Nyx and Ying ran off to tell the piglets about their crazy adventure.
"So that was something." Said Samantha.
"It certainly was." Agreed Alcor.
"Um...guys there's something I need to tell you and ask you." Said Chi.
Chi told Samantha and Alcor about what Destiny had told her and then she talked about Mimi.
"You see...before I came to this place and met all of you, I had a friend named Mimi. She was my best friend and we used to enjoy hanging with each other. Mimi had...a very abusive father called Him. He took great pleasure in torturing and abusing Mimi. I came up with a plan to save her, but...before I could tell Mimi, she ran away and escaped into another universe. One of the reasons I came here was to get help and search for Mimi. Now according to the fortune teller both Mimi and I are in grave danger. I need you two to train me, so I can become stronger and deal with these assassins." Said Chi.
Samantha studied Chi. Every time the princess mentioned Mimi there was a bit of a high pitch in, her voice and a bit of emotion. Samantha sensed that Chi had some strong feelings for Mimi, other then friendship, but she wasn't going to press into that. Chi would confess, her feelings to her friends, when she was ready.
"Alright will train you." Said Samantha.
"For real? Thanks you guys are the best!" Said Chi with a big smile before she walked off to her room.
Samantha and Alcor said goodbye to each other and headed to their own rooms.
Miles away in the grasslands, Gata flew towards the tree fort riding, Bubblegum's swan. Turned out the swan was a robot and Gata was able to take control of it. Gata soon reached the tree fort and landed the swan. She needed to find whatever magic, Joshua used to banish her and use it quickly, hopefully the cartridges that he left behind would help her. Gata raced into the tree fort and found BMO and Neptr.
"Hey Gata!" Greeted BMO.
"Hey BMO did you fix those cartridges yet?" Asked Gata.
"I did!" Said BMO as he popped them out of a slot on his body.
"Thanks." Said Gata as she fond the the hologram message player and put them both in.
A hologram of Joshua appeared and began to speak.
"Hello children, I guess if your watching this then that means the statue broke and you met a person named Gata, who claims to be sister and that she lived with us. What Gata says is true. She did live with us for a few years, but then she had to go away. I loved Gata and cared for her, but then something horrible happened and I was forced to use a dangerous magical item to seal Gata into a statue to keep her and everyone else in Ooo safe. They're powerful forces at play and Gata is a...key part of their plan. You..see Gata has the ability to open a portal to another dimension, whenever she falls asleep or looses consciousness. This dimension is ruled by a demonic being called the Demon Queen and full of horrible beast. The Demon Queen once terrorize Ooo, until the magic council, Bubblegum, and several royals joined forces and banished her to another dimension. Now with Gata's portal, she has a way to come back. The Demon Queen nearly escaped into our dimension, after I discovered the portal and investigated it. It was a close call, but I managed to wake Gata up and the Demon Queen was forcefully sucked back into the portal. I was forced to take drastic action to protect all of us. A few years back...I discovered some old caves beneath our old house in the city. As I searched I came across a strange puddle of blue slime. I became curious and put it in a jar to experiment with. My experiments allowed me to discover that the slime had the ability to encase living beings into stone and erase people's memories about them. I experimented on some local wildlife and was able to maintain my memory of these creatures due to me being the one to cast the slime. From what I can figure the creatures were sent to a dream reality that reflected our own and when I broke the statues the creature were perfectly fine and unharmed. I used this same slime on Gata to encase her in the statue in order to protect her and all of us. It...was a extreme situation and...I really didn't like doing what I had to do. If things are getting out of control I kept one last jar of the slime in the cave beneath our old home behind a stalagmite with a G carved into it. Please...only use it as a last resort for Gata." Said Joshua before the hologram vanished.
Gata just stared at the hologram message player silently.
"Are you ok Gata?" Asked Neptr.
"Yeah...I'm...fine." Said Gata as she picked up the message player and turned to leave.
"Where are you going Gata, you still need to build my super cool robot body and we want to hang with you." Said BMO.
"I'm...going someplace where my power won't hurt anyone. I'd like to build your robot body and hang, but...time isn't on my side and I don't want any of you to get hurt." Said Gata as she reached the door and opened it.
"What about Jake and Jermaine?" Asked Neptr.
"Tell them not to look for me and I love them. If something goes wrong and you all still remember me, don't go looking for me. It...won't be a pretty sight." Said Gata as she walked out of the tree fort, hopped onto the swan and took off.
Gata pointed the swan in the direction of the city, her stepparent used to live and headed in that direction.
Jake and Jermaine arrived at the tree fort and BMO and Neptr decided to quickly fill the brothers in on what happened. The two dogs felt a chill go down, their spine as they realized what Gata was planning to do and quickly took off towards the city.
Gata found the old city building Joshua and Margaret used to live in and landed the swan. She got off and went to the door. It was locked, but Gata had a pocket knife on her and used it to unlock the door. Gata entered the house. She found a hatch and ladder that lead down to the caves and she went down. Gata pulled out a small flashlight and decided to play the other cartridge on the player. A hologram of Joshua popped up.
"This message is to my daughter Gata. Gata if your hearing this there's probably a bunch of emotion running through you right now. Fear, anger, hate, guilt, and sadness. You have a right and a reason to feel all of these things except guilt. Your existence is nothing to feel guilty of. Your a good kid, who just got an unfair lot in life because of that portal. I love you Gata and one of the reasons I imprisoned you in that statue was to keep you safe from the Demon Queen. When the Demon Queen nearly escaped into our dimension one of the first things she said she was going to do was...destroy Gata! She said it would keep her from being banished back to the Thought Demon's dimension. I feared for my little girl's safety, so I cast the slime on her to buy me some time, until I could come up with a way to save her. I was afraid to ask the wizards for help, because they might simply destroy you, so I went into searching for an solution on my own. I couldn't find a thing. In the...end I failed you as a parent and guardian and for that...I'm truly sorry." Said Joshua with a sad look on his face before he vanished.
"It's ok dad. Soon...this will all be over." Said Gata as a tear fell from her right eye.
After several minutes Gata located the stalagmite with the G carved into it. Gata found the jar with the slime. She opened it, took a deep breath, closed her eyes my and dumped the slime on herself expecting to feel something, but nothing happened. Gata opened her eyes and just saw the slime dripping down her face and clothes. She wasn't a statue!
"No! No! Nooooo! It was supposed to settle this!" Said Gata with a look of panic in her eyes.
Gata calmed down a little and with a bit of dread she figured out what was wrong. Her long imprisonment had apparently made her immune to the affects of the slime! It no longer worked on her!
"Time...for...Plan B." Said Gata as she reached a trembling hand down to the freeze gun in her pocket.
Gata planned to use the freeze gun on it's highest setting to freeze her head and brain. If the lack of oxygen didn't instantly kill her, a fall would shatter her head and end end her. Thus destroying the portal along with her. Gata put the gun on it's highest setting and pointed at the side of her head. She felt her hands tremble as she prepared to pull the trigger.
"Gata STOP!" Shouted Jake as he and Jermaine came running onto the scene.
"Put the gun down." Said Jermaine.
"Don't come any closer! The magic dad used on me no longer works. This is the only way to protect all of us. Once I'm dead the portal is gone for good. You...will never have to worry about my mom or her minions. Please I'm trying to protect you, just let me do this!" Said Gata.
"Gata...please don't do this. By doing this your hurting us and yourself. Please there has to be another way." Said Jake.
"Just put the gun down sis. We want to help you." Said Jermaine.
"No. This is my burden and I have to deal with it." Said Gata.
"It might be, your burden, but you don't have to carry it alone. We're your family and family always helps one another. Let us help you." Said Jermaine.
"There's no need to sacrifice yourself for us." Said Jake.
"Please stay back." Begged Gata.
"You don't need to do this. We can deal with this whole problem together. Just..stop trying to carry all this burden with you, because you got us and a bunch of people willing to help you." Said Jermaine as he and Jake carefully walked towards Gata.
"This whole ending yourself to protect Ooo, is something Finn, Mom, and Dad wouldn't want to see. They would tell you to put the gun down and keep living." Said Jake.
Gata just let out a sob and let the gun clatter to the ground. Jake and Jermaine reached out to Gata, grabbed her in a tight embrace, and told her that they were happy to have her and that everything was going to be ok.
An hour later they called Simon and met up at the tree fort. Simon gave Gata the pendent and explained what it did. Gata thanked Simon and the magic council for what they did and that night Gata had a goodnight' sleep and no portals or demons appeared. It was a goodnight for the members of Finn's adopted siblings.
