Lightyears away on planet Olympia, Finn sat in his room staring at a picture of his younger self hanging with Jake, Jermaine, and the strange periwinkle colored girl with tentacles for hair. Finn stared at girl wondering who she was. The young man felt like he knew the girl, but he couldn't remember her name and who exactly, she was to him. After a few more minutes of staring at the photo, Finn decided to go for a little walk to clear his head. He walked out of the room and headed down a hallway. A little while later, Finn found himself in his mom's study. Atalanta was at her desk looking at some old battle strategies, when she noticed her son.
"Still wondering who that girl in your picture is?" Asked Atalanta.
"Yeah. I thought if I stopped thinking about for a while, her name would come to me." Said Finn with a shrug.
"Perhaps I can help with that. They say sometimes the answers we seek are in the stars." Said Atalanta as she reached into a desk draw and pulled out a small white sphere.
The goddess touched the top of the sphere and it lite up and a giant phantom image of Olympia's solar system appeared hovering above the room. Finn stared at it in awe.
"This is an image of our solar system. It's home to our planet and a couple of others. There is our planet Olympia and then there are our neighboring planets Hyrule and YGGDRASIL. Both are governed by skilled powerful magic beings." Said Atalanta as two images of planets floated before Finn.
(Author's Note: Hyrule is from the Legend of Zelda series and YGGDRASIL is from the anime/manga series Overlord. Both have been changed into planets to fit into this story.)
Both planets were the same size and displayed vast landscape.
"Hyrule is governed by a royal family, that consist of a king, and a princess that traditional goes by the name Zelda. There is a magical power on Hyrule called the Triforce. It was made of three parts the Triforce of Power, the Triforce of Courage, and the Triforce of Wisdom. Individually these parts are powerful, but together a person would be granted incredible power and could have whatever they wished for. Then a evil man called Ganondorf stole the Triforce of Power and attempted to conquer Hyrule, but a plan to combat was formed by Princes Zelda who used the Triforce of Wisdom. A young man by the name of Link was chosen to have the Triforce of Courage and was given a magical sword known as the Master Sword to fight Ganondorf. Together Link and Zelda killed the villain, but because of the Triforce of Power, Ganondorf would eventually reincarnate and cause more chaos. However the Triforce of Wisdom and Triforce of Courage would reincarnate through Zelda and Link's descendants who by fate were also usually went by the names Zelda and Link. There was also talk about each of the descendants being reincarnations of the original Link and Zelda, but no one knows for sure if that's true or not. Anyhow the heroes and Ganondorf battled one another for centuries and the battle would always end with Ganondorf dying. After a few hundred years of this the descendants of Link and Zelda had enough of fighting Ganondorf and created a powerful magic mirror, which they used to trap Ganondorf in another realm. The mirror was then broken and the pieces were scattered through Hyrule. The planet has been experiencing centuries of peace since those events." Said Atalanta.
"That sounds awesome." Said Finn.
"Now we have planet YGGDRASIL. It has a interesting history as well and the persons who rules it is quit an interesting individual. You see there was once a undead skeleton being named Momonga, who later took on the name Ainz Ooal Gown, ironically it was the same name of a guild he created and led. Ainz was a powerful warrior and a skilled magic user. The guild he crated started out small, but their power grew over time and they conquered a dungeon called the Great Tomb of Nazarick, which they turned into their home and headquarters. Some time later Ainz decided to put his energy into a whole new project and direction. You see YGGDRASIL people and races didn't get along with each other, so Ainz decided to change that by establishing a kingdom called the Sorcerer Kingdom. A utopia that would have the races living together in harmony and treat each other as equals. It took a good deal of time, but with his magic and diplomatic skills Ainz's kingdom became a reality and the central power of YGGDRASIL." Said Atalanta.
Finn studied the planets and a image of himself as a child flashed through his mind. The younger Finn was with Jake, Jermaine, and the girl with the periwinkle skin. The four of them were sitting outside their parents country house looking up at the night sky.
"You know, when I get older I'm going to build a rocket ship and see what's out there." Said the girl.
"A space adventure, that sounds awesome! You plan to take us with you?" Said the young Finn.
"Of course I'd take you guys with me, your my bros after all." Said the girl with a smile and a laugh.
The image ended and Finn blinked his eyes in confusion.
"Are you alright son?" Asked Atalanta.
"I remember something. That...girl is...my stepsister. She was adopted and...had no idea where she came from. Just like...I used to. I know...she was smart, kind, and liked adventures, but...I still can't remember her name." Said Finn.
"You don't think...this is some kind of trip one of your enemies is trying to pull?" Asked Atalanta.
"No...I don't think so. My brain might...be jumbled and confused, but my heart is telling me that this person was real and my sister." Said Finn.
"Perhaps you should see Iroh about meditating to help clear your mind, so you may learn this person's name." Said Atalanta.
"Yeah I'll go do that." Said Finn as he wondered off to go do that.
"Best of luck to you my son." Said Atalanta as she turned off the image of the solar system.
A few thousand miles away from Olympia, there was planet Hyrule. It was a lustrous planet with a mighty castle serving as the capitol. The current Princess Zelda was walking down a hallway pondering a problem that had been plaguing her planet. Princess Zelda was in her teen years with fair skin, pointy elf like ears, long brown hair, blue eyes, and wore a white and purple dress, with a gold tiara, with a blue gem stone. The problem that was currently plaguing her planet wasn't very serious, through it was making the people uneasy. A group of people who went by the name the Hunters had been running about Hyrule and raiding villages, temples, and cities. The Hunters seemed to have come from another world due to their clothing and some odds weapons they carried. They were a small group, but they were each skilled warriors and clever fighters who managed to avoid being cornered by the local knights. Zelda would have called upon the hero Link to help deal with the Hunters, but he had recently gone into a depressive slump.
(Author's Note: The Hunters are from Bloodborne.)
A few years back Link had gone off to do some adventuring in the universe. He had used an ancient magical teleport stone to go to another world, but a few months later, he returned a different person. Link was no longer positive and kindhearted, now he was depressed and bitter. Zelda had asked him what happened and Link simply said he had witnessed several acts of injustice and no matter how hard, he tried to help and give innocent people justice, no real good came out of it. Link had lost, his faith in being a good hero and doing good deeds for others. The hero had hung up his sword and duty. Zelda was concerned for Link and the raids made by the Hunters. She didn't know why, but she felt that the Hunters were only the beginning of something bigger. The princess needed to restore Link's heroic spirit. Zelda decided to seek advice from Ainz to see what he would suggest doing. Zelda went towards a room that held a magic mirror that allowed her to communicate with other beings and called up Ainz.
On planet YGGDRASIL, Ainz was up and about in his home in Nazarick. Ainz had the appearance of an undead skeleton creature devoid of skin and flesh. He tended to mainly wear an elaborate, jet-black academic gown adorned with golden and violet edges. Ainz had a tiny dark red glow radiating from inside the empty eye sockets. In his right hand Ainz held a staff that had traits of a caduceus. It was entwined by seven serpents and in each of the squirming serpents' mouths hold a jewel of a different color.
Ainz went about his business and went to his magic mirror to call up his friend Uncle Death. Now Uncle Death was a reaper like being that controlled a place called the Tower of Barbs, that was located in Dead World 4444. Uncle Death was a servant of Death and one of his top guys. Ainz had stumbled upon a portal to Dead World 4444 in a graveyard several years back and ended up be transported to the Tower of Barbs, which was a training ground for dead souls to fight. Ainz fought several powerful dead souls and impressed Uncle Death earning his admiration. Uncle Death became good friends with Ainz and returned him back to his own world. The two had kept in touch with each other since then.
(Author's Note: Uncle Death is from Let it Die.)
Uncle Death appeared in Ainz's mirror. The reaper was a skeletal being that wore a black hooded jacket, pants, shoes, and glasses. He carried a gold colored scythe and had crazy red eyes.
"How's it going Senpai?" Asked Uncle Death.
"Oh everything is going quit well. My kingdom is becoming quit a utopia and just about everyone loves and praises me." Said Ainz.
"Cool to hear, but I would expect nothing less from a skilled fighter like you Senpai." Said Uncle Death.
It was then that Zelda began to call Ainz on the magic mirror.
"Excuse me. I have to take this." Said Ainz as he tapped the mirror.
Zelda appeared in the mirror.
"Princess Zelda. This is a honor. To what do I owe this unexpected call." Said Ainz.
"I come seeking some advice and perspective on a dilemma I'm facing. I believe you can help me find a solution to it." Said Zelda.
"Tell me what the problem is." Said Ainz.
Zelda told Ainz about the situation and Ainz thought it over.
"It seems Link has lost his heroic fighting spirit. You need someone to rekindle it." Said Ainz.
"I see. Now how would you suggest I go about rekindling it?" Said Zelda.
"I would suggest bringing in another hero, with similar ideals close to Link's old ideals to help rekindle Link's heroic fighting spirit. Either bring in an old experienced hero or someone, whose Link's own age who refuses to give up. Planet Olympia probably had what you need." Said Ainz.
"That's a good idea. I'll do it. Thank you Ainz." Said Zelda before she vanished from the mirror.
Ainz went back to talking to Uncle Death, while Zelda made plans to go to Olympia and find the hero she needed.
To be continued.
