Chapter 205 King and Collector

Zelda stared at Midna for a few seconds before speaking.
"What do you mean you think Hyrule is danger?"
"A madman has taken control of my realm and now he seeks to conquer this world. This man is named Zant and he is filled with hatred and vengeance. He desires to conquer your world, for revenge on what your ancestors did to ours." Said Midna.
"Who were your ancestors?" Asked Zelda.
Midna paled a little at the thought of telling the group who her ancestors were, but she supposed there was really no way of avoiding it. She took a gulp before speaking.
"My ancestors were a tribe of magic users, who practiced dark magic. They wanted to conquer Hyule, but your ancestors stopped them and banished them to a place called the Twilight Realm. The tribe's bodies began to change to help adapt to the realm and their descendants changed into a new race called the Twili. We lived in peace and forgot about conquest and revenge. Zant is the only member of the Twili who still desires revenge and conquest."
"So our ancestors were enemies." Said Zelda.
"They were." Said Midna.
"I see, well that was the past and this is the present. We will help you." Said Zelda.
"Your...just going to help me after...I just told you about my ancestors?" Asked Midna.
"You are not your ancestors Midna and neither am I. You rescued me and warned me about a great threat to my world, now I want to help you save your people and get your realm back. I believe your a good person who only wants to do what's best for her people and I can relate with that. You have our support." Said Zelda.
"Thank you Princess Zelda." Said Midna.
"Your welcome Princess Midna." Said Zelda.
"So do all the Twili look like imps?" Asked Finn.
"No they are much different. My current form is a result of Zant using his magic to curse me." Said Midna.
"So what did you used to look like?" Asked Link.
"Oh I used to be quit beautiful and I closely resembled a human." Said Midna.
Ling went over to the unconscious Hunter to tie her up and decided to go through her pockets to make sure there were no hidden weapons. He found a couple of knives and the mirror shard wrapped in a cloth. Ling showed the mirror shard to Zelda and she studied it.
"I've seen this somewhere before." Said Zelda.
"I recognize it from somewhere to." Said Midna as she studied the mirror shard.
Lapis saw the book Zelda had given her and her companions and handed it over to Zelda who began to go through it. After a few seconds she found what she was looking for and her face went a little pale. Midna looked at the page Zelda was looking at and let out a gasp.
"What is it?" Asked Link.
"This shard is part of a magical item called the Mirror of Twilight. Long ago it was invented by my ancestors to connect our world to another realm, that realm was the Twilight Realm. The mirror was used to banish an evil tribe that attempted to conquer Hyrule. That tribe was Midna's ancestors. Several hundred years later a Zelda and Link combined their powers with the mirror to banish Ganondorf to a realm between our realm and the Twilight Realm. The mirror was broken and the shards were scattered through Hyrule." Said Zelda.
"So...someone is attempting to put the mirror back together and bring Ganondorf back." Said Link.
"It appears so." Said Zelda.
"Well...that settles it then. I'm helping you. Time to come out of retirement and be a hero again." Said Link.
"Thank you Link." Said Zelda.
"You don't look like much, but I'll take any help I can get." Said Midna in a teasing voice.
Link just rolled his eyes in annoyance.
"So what's the plan?" Asked Phoebe.
"Well I suppose will help Midna out first. We have no idea whose behind the Hunters and where they are stationed at, but as long as we have a single shard of the mirror they can't go on with their plan and bring Ganondorf back." Said Zelda.
The others agreed and decided to spend a night at the inn. The captured Hunter was placed in cellar and Zelda and the heroes rented rooms from the owner, who had returned along with a few other people. Unbeknownst to anyone Vaati had been spying on them. He had been walking in the woods, when he saw the Hunters march towards the inn to attack it. Vaati had shrunken down and had followed the Hunters to watch the carnage and found Midna and the heroes. The evil being began to make plans to get the mirror shard and deal with Midna.
Meanwhile in a realm between Hyrule and the Twilight Realm, sat a man who had the bearings of a king. The man was Ganondorf and he was a tall man with green skin, he had red hair and a bear, and he wore black armor and a red cape. The realm he resided in was a great wasteland of empty whiteness. Ganondorf recalled that he was fixing to try and takeover Hyrule again, when he was confronted by a hero and a princess. The evil man's sword and scabbard had been knocked away by the hero, before he had been pierced by several magical arrows made of light from the princess. Ganondorf was expecting to meet his end, like the times in the past, but something different happened. A large mirror with symbols on it was brought up and brought before Ganondorf. A portal opened up behind Ganondorf sucking him in and the next thing he knew he was trapped in an empty white void. Ganondorf screamed and cursed for years as he tried to find his way out, but there were no exits. As Ganondorf began to accept his fate a strange voice told him not to.
"Who are you?" Demanded Ganondorf.
"I am Ghirahim. You can say I'm a very old friend of yours. I'm going to free and break the cycle you are trapped in, so you can finally have Hyrule."
"How are you talking to me?" Asked Ganondorf.
"Through your sword and scabbard, they have a great deal of your magical residue on them, so I'm able to contact you." Said Ghirahim.
Ghirahim explained that he had a plan to free Ganondorf and that he had a plan to manipulate a couple of people to help them. Ganondorf agreed to go along with the plan. He had granted a good portion of his power to Zant to take over the Twilight Realm and his sword and and scabbard had been given to a strange traveling collector, who Ganondorf whispered ideas to. All Ganondorf had to do now was wait for his freedom.
In the sky above Hyrule, there was a particular odd sight. An upside down floating metal pyramid. At the flat top of the pyramid there was a city made of various junk. This place was called a Mecha Realm and it was ran by a cyborg being named Scrapperton. Scrapperton was an odd being, who had once been human, but an accident had cost him, his leg forcing him to get a robotic one. He became fascinated with his new robotic limb, so he decided to get another leg to match it. One thing led to another and Scrapperton became obsessed with upgrading every part of his body with gadgets and machinery becoming a new self made man. Scrapperton was now just a brain in a jar with purple liquid, with his left eye being his original organic one and his right eye being a maniacal one that resembled a monocle. The robotic body he was attached to was white and blue and was designed to look like a gentleman's suit with a coat tail and top hat. Scrapperton enjoyed traveling and collecting various objects and things.

Scrapperton sat in his throne room, holding a staff with a bunch of gears, which he called Mr. Cogsmith. The staff had been a good find for Scrapperton. His observer drones had found it on a mountain top on Hyrule and had brought it back to him. The staff then began speaking to him telling him about a rare magical object called the Mirror of Twilight. Scrapperton became fascinated with adding the mirror to his collection, so he hired a group of mercenaries called Hunters and set them out to collect the shards of the mirror. The Hunters were very successful and the mirror was nearly complete. Scrapperton decided to do a little inventory of his collection, so he stood up and walked off to check on his collections.
There were piles of various junk, a few rare space ships, cars, trading cards, action figures, records, posters, and a bunch of exotic animals frozen in crystal. In one room there were three figures. Two of them were frozen in crystal, while the other one was strapped to a chair with a special visor on. The figure in the chair was a being called Rhombulus. Rhombulus was a tall humanoid-like creature with green skin. He had a large crystal for a head, two small blue crystals on his chest, green snakes for arms and legs, and one eye. He wore a long purple cape and purple underwear briefs. Rhombulus had the power to freeze things in crystals and that made him valuable to Scrapperton who liked things in mint condition. Next to Rhombulus was a teenage girl with blond hair, blue eyes, pink hearts on her cheek, dressed in a sea green dress with a white collar, white lace on the sleeves and skirt and a cute pink octopus on the front. She also wore pink and orange stockings, dark magenta boots with a rhino design, and a red headband with horns. The girl's name was Star Butterfly and she was trapped in a crystal. Next to Star in another crystal was a large being called Buff Frog. Buff Frog was a large pale green humanoid frog with yellow eyes, dark green lips, and webbed wings on each side of his head. He wore a light green tunic and brown belt with a skull buckle.

Buff Frog used to work as a minion for a villain, but he got fired. He later became a dad to some tadpoles and a friend to Star. Buff Frog wanted to find a new home for his children to grow up in and asked Star for help. They used a magical item called Dimensional Scissors to explore other dimensions and ended up running into Rhombulus. Rhombulus was a good guy, who hated evil and unfortunately he recognized Buff Frog and thought he was conducting evil so he froze him in crystal. The crystal also thought Star was helping Buff Frog do evil, so he froze her in crystal to. Rhombulus was the kind of guy who acted first, before he bothered to put much thought into his actions. Unfortunately Scrapperton was in the area and saw the whole thing. The collector liked what he saw and he captured Rhombulus and took Star and Buff Frog along to join his collection. The trio had been held captive for a few weeks.
Scrapperton then headed back to his throne room and looked at a nearly completed Mirror of Twilight. The mirror was only missing a couple of shards.
"Soon it will be complete Mr. Cogsmith. Tick tock!" Said Scrapperton.
The staff's only reply was to give off a faint yellow glow.
