Disclaimer: I do not own anything, expect the OCs. This is just a story for fun.

Zelda rode in her carriage with Lapis, Peridot, Mimi, and the captured Hunter. The Hunter was tied up and glaring at her captives. Zelda had showed the Hunter the mirror shard and asked her way she and the other Hunters were collecting the shards. The Hunter simply said that she and her companions were paid to collect the shards, though she wouldn't say who that person was. Zelda pressed for more info, but the Hunter refused to speak. The carriage was going through some woods, when a dozen Hunters suddenly stepped out from hiding behind trees and into the road blocking the path. The Hunters had their weapons raised as they approached the carriage.

"Give us our comrade and will let you go peacefully." Called one of the Hunters.

"What do we do?" Asked a nervous Peridot.

"I'll handle this." Said Mimi with a determined look on her face as she stepped out of the carriage and approached the Hunter that had spoken.

"Oi what's this now? A little girl. Run home to your mama men, they unleashed a wee terror on us!" Laughed the Hunter.

The other Hunters joined in except for one Hunter who studied Mimi, before speaking.

"Wait...a minute isn't that one of those folks that attacked us at the inn and threw a table at a couple of us?"

Before any of the Hunters could say anything, Mimi punched the Hunter in front of her in the gut knocking the air out of him and sending him crashing into a couple of his friends knocking them down into a heap. The other Hunters stared at Mimi in dumbfounded shock. Mimi grinned as she fired a few eye beams at their feet causing to yelp in surprise and jump back. The fight went out of the Hunters and they began to retreat as fast as they could. While Mimi was chasing off the group, a female Hunter crept up on the carriage from behind and threw it's door open. The Hunter held a pistol and gestured to her captured comrade to come with her. Zelda and the others watched as their former prisoner got out of the carriage and escape with the other Hunter. Mimi soon returned to the carriage, where the others told her what happened. The little girl looked unhappy and guilty about failing to keep the prisoner from escaping, but Zelda comforted her and congratulated her on what she did.

"You did a good job of protecting us from those Hunters Mimi. They may have gotten back the prisoner, but the shard is still safely in our hands."

Lapis and Peridot agreed with Zelda and that cheered Mimi up. The group continued on to the castle.

In another part of the woods the Hunters regrouped and the freed Hunter told them that the mirror shard was with the princess and her group. This upset the Hunters, because they realized Zelda was heading for the castle and it would nearly be impossible to break in and take the shard.

"It seems like you lot are in a spot of trouble." Said a voice from above.

The Hunters looked up to see Vaati standing on a tree branch. The mage jumped down and stood before the group.

"Who are you?" Demanded one of the Hunters.

"Oh I'm just a person, who wishes for you to succeed in gathering the shards for your employer. Since you seem to be in a tough spot I'll lend you a hand and get the shard for you." Said Vaati.

"Oh and how do you plan on doing that? You just going to walk right through the front door and grab the shard?" Said a Hunter.

"In a matter of speaking yes." Said Vaati as he suddenly changed into a castle guard.

The Hunters let out a collective gasp at this. Vaati then changed into one of the Hunters, then into Zelda, the king, and finally back into the castle guard.

"Now if you excuse me, I'm off to the castle." Said Vaati with a different voice before he vanished in a flash of light.

The Hunters just stood there stunned.

Miles away Link and his group had entered the desert and had come across a little oasis. They decided to stop and rest for a bit.

"So the temple is further in the desert?" Asked Link as he looked at his shadow.

"It is. It's a real big temple." Said Midna as she rose up from Link's shadow in a stretched out shadowy form.

Link stared at Midna a bit startled by her shadowy form and power. Midna found this amusing and giggled.

"Your brave enough to fight monsters and go on adventures to stop mad kings, yet the sight of a freaky little shadow frightens you."

"I'm just not used to having a shadow rise up and talk to me. Also my ancestors had to fight their own shadows at one point or another." Said Link.

"Shadows rising up to attacker their owners. That's a new one." Said Midna.

"So Link, are there any locals in the desert we need to know about?" Asked Ling.

"Well there's a couple of big groups of people in the desert. First there's the Gerudo a tribe of warrior women. A long time ago they were ruled by Ganondorf and a couple of evil witches, but they were defeated by my great ancestor and the Gerudo were freed. The Gerudo are a bit odd, but they are a peaceful people that normally keep to themselves. We should probably alert them about the danger Zant presents." Said Link.

"Good idea." Said Finn.

"Then there's the Yiga Clan a group of Sheikah warriors, who are thieves and assassins. The Yiga Clan was once a part of the clans that made up the Sheikah, but they had a falling out with the other clans and became a group of bandits and assassins. They are lead by a person called Master Kohga and they worship Ganon." Said Link.

"Who's Ganon?" Asked Phoebe.

"A pig like monster Ganondorf changed into in the past." Explained Link.

"So we could possibly be dealing with two large groups of enemies. Both have connections to Ganondorf in some way and the people trying to bring Ganondorf back could try and recruit these people to their side." Said Ling.

"It makes since for the Yiga Clan, but I'm not sure about the Gerudo. From what I've read not all the Gerudo were fond of Ganondorf and in the years after he was defeated they've gone through great lengths to improve their image and relations with the rest of Hyrule." Said Link.

"That may be, but we should still be on our guard. We still have no idea who were dealing with and what they're capable of." Said Finn.

"Agreed." Said Link.

The heroes got up to continue traveling, unaware they were being watched. Ghirahim sat on an outcropping rock watching the heroes through a spyglass. The demon first looked at Link, Finn, Phoebe, and Ling.

"My. My. It looks like there's a rainbow of heroes. There's a green one, a blue one, a red one that looks like she's made of fire, and one wearing a yellow jacket. Oh and it looks like Midna is with them as well. I wonder how this little group will do against the trouble my comrades are stirring up? It should be a delightful little show." Said Ghirahim with a wicked smirk as he lowered the spyglass.

Miles away within a valley there was the hideout of the Yiga Clan. The hideout consisted of a bunch of red stone buildings of various size and a large deep pit near the center. The members of the Ying Clan wore black and red outfits with their hair tied into chonmage and they all wore white with a red eye in the center with three triangles beneath it and a teardrop above it in the center. Up above the hideout were Kotake and Tyrian. Kotake had split up from her sister, who went to go see the Gerudo tribe. The witch hovered up in the air with on her broomstick, while Tyrian hung from beneath her.

"Time to say hello." Said Tyrian with a wicked giggle.

Kotake lowered herself down, until she and the assassin were twenty feet from the ground. Tyrian let go of the broomstick did a flip and landed on the ground. A group of Yiga Footsoldiers and one of their elite Blademasters saw the assassin and immediately drew their weapons to confront him.

"Trespassers are put to death!" Yelled the Blademaster as he pointed his sword at Tyrian.

"Oh I'd like to see you try." Said Tyrian as two wrist blades that resembled scorpion claws sprung up on his wrist.

Two Footsoldiers charged at Tyrian swinging their swords, but he easily blocked them with his wrist blades and sent the two attackers flying back with a couple of kicks. The Blademaster swung his sword at Tyrian, who neatly dodged out of the way and kicked the Blademaster in the back of his right leg firing him to buckle and fall to the ground. A couple of Footsoldiers fired arrows at Tyrian, but he deflected them with his tail and then he charged at the archers slicing their bows to bits and sending them crashing to the ground. More Footsoldiers and Blademasters heard the commotion and came charging in on the scene. Before they could charge in and attack Tyrian Kotake fired a beam of freezing energy at the ground creating a wall of ice between Tyrian and the Yiga Clan forces. The Footsoldiers and Blademasters stared at the wall of ice not sure what to make of it.

"What is going on here?" Shouted a loud voice.

Everyone turned to see a new Yiga Clan member storm onto the scene. It was Master Kohga himself. Kohga was a little heavyset and dressed in a similar fashion like the rest of his clan except he had a white collar with a gold pattern and his mask had six horns on it.

"Your Master Kohga, I presume?" Said Kotake.

"I am. Now state your name a business." Said Kohga as he folded his arms.

"I am Kotake and this is Tyrian. We come to give you a chance to serve the one you worship."

"Kotake? Weren't you killed a long time ago by the great hero?" Asked Kohga.

"I was, but now I'm back and soon Ganondorf shall return and claim this world as his own. If you give us your clan's allegiance then you will be greatly rewarded in the new world order." Said Kotake.

"A chance to serve the great master and get back at those other foolish clans. You have the allegiance of the Yiga Clan." Said Kohga with a bow.

The rest of the clan lowered their weapons and bowed as well.

"Excellent. A group of warriors lead by the current hero Link are coming this way and we want them destroyed." Said Kotake.

"Consider it done." Said Kohga.

Kotake and Tyrian grinned evilly.

Several miles away outside the valley, there was Gerudo Town. A walled city with several stone buildings that served as the home for the Gerudo. The Gerudo were all women with dark skin, red hair, and pointy noses. They usually wore baggy pants, pointed shoes, gloves, and sleeveless shirts. The town was currently governed by a council of the brightest and wisest women in the settlement. The council was currently sitting down to discuss trade with other civilizations, when the roof suddenly exploded in a fiery blast and in floated Koume.

"Attention council of Gerudo City, I Koume have returned to the living along with my sister Kotake to tell you that our great king Gaonondorf is returning to take his rightful place as ruler of Hyrule!" Said Koume.

The council was shocked by this. They knew about Ganondorf and Koume and Kotake from the history of their ancestors. That history was referred to as the Dark Days. One of the council members gathered her courage and confronted the witch.

"Be gone from this place witch! You and your master are no longer welcomed here! We will not submit to your rule and aid you in your conquest of Hyrule! Our people are no longer your servants!"

"Ha! Brave words from a fool. You will serve us and if you refuse your town will be burned to the ground, every person will be killed or forced into slavery, and we will salt the earth of this place. Now chose wisely. Serve your king or you and your people will suffer the consequences." Said Koume.

The council looked at one another. They didn't want their people to suffer, so they surrendered to Koume.

"I knew you would make the right choice. Now come. My sister is brining in some new friends and we have to come up with a nice little surprise for a little group of travelers." Said Koume.

A terrible trap was set in motion.

To be continued.
