Chapter 271 Wishes Undone

In the Grasslands, Nemo ran as fast as he could towards the tree fort. Nemo reached it and banged on the door frantically. Gata answered the door with Jake and BMO by her side. The trio stared at Nemo in confusion as he took a moment to catch his breath and gather his thoughts.
"Hey...I'm Nemo and I'm one of Bubblegum's creations. A few months back I came up with this plan to help my master and the Candy Kingdom, by pretending to be a criminal to infiltrate the forces of Castle Lemongrab to learn and gather info on them. Now the forces of Castle Lemongrab have gained the allegiance of two kingdoms and a large village to help them attack and invade the Candy Kingdom!"
"Which kingdoms and village?" Asked Jake.
"The Breakfast Kingdom, the Lizard Kingdom, and Farm Village." Said Nemo.
"Why are they helping the forces of Castle Lemongrab?" Asked Gata.
"I didn't get all the details, but from what I've heard it sounds like Bubblegum had some kind of asylum and it held some people there that had psychic powers and they were being experimented on. The leaders of Castle Lemongrab found out, rescued them, and alerted the kingdoms and village." Said Nemo.
"Figures Bubblegum would do something underhanded like this and cause trouble." Grumbled Gata.
"We need to call Marceline and the Peace Protectors." Said Jake.
A few quick phone calls later, Gata had BMO transform into his fighting mech form and she along with Jake and Nemo jumped on and took off towards the Candy Kingdom.
Back in Wizard City a party was happening at the Capitol. Everyone was having a good time, though Lizard Wizard did get a call from Lizard Princess telling him to report to her at once, so he had to leave. Ron James got on the stage to reveal the statue of himself and give a speech.
"Hello everyone and thank you all for coming. Today is a really special day. This will mark the first day as me being the Grand Master Wizard. Hopefully this will be the first day of many for a bright future for our city. A future of parties, peace and good times! The Age of Ron James!" Said Ron James as he pumped his right fist in the air.
The other wizards cheered. It was then that a large war hammer came flying in and hit the statue shattering it to bits. The head of the statue landed at Ron James feet as he stared at it in dismay. Everyone was stunned by this and then they all slowly turned in the direction the hammer had come from and saw an army of ants, fairies, and dark magic users. Herman stood at the front of the army and grinned nastily. A few miles away a building exploded and out came Fright Knight, Paddywhack, JoJo, Snowballs, and Souls-Sucking Death Worm. The monsters had been freed by Doctor Crocktopus and his cousins and were making their way towards the Capitol.
"Will be taking your city!" Declared Herman.
With that said the evil charged at the wizards and the fight was on.
At the Ice Kingdom, Gideon was still in the living room, when Mabel came running up to him wearing a wedding dress and holding a suit. Gideon stared at Mabel in confusion as she grinned at him with a big toothy smile.
"I want us to get married! I have a wedding dress and I made you this suit. It should fit you perfectly since I have all your measurements. Now I think we should have our wedding here since the Ice Kingdom is such a beautiful place and most of our loved one are here. We can have a bunch of ice sculptures made! Anyhow I want to get married now and start having children! We can build our own house or kingdom and live happily with each other forever and ever!" Said Mabel.
Gideon was a bit startled by this. There was something in Mabel's eyes that honestly disturbed him. Mabel then got close to Gideon and whispered in his ear.
"I'm wearing a thong underneath my dress."
Gideon's eyes went wide at this news. He never imagined Mabel wearing a thong and he certainly couldn't see Mabel ever putting one on. The Mabel before him was not only in love with him, but incredibly obsessed with him. Mabel was just filled with lust and it was driving her a bit crazy. Gideon didn't want this kind of affection. He wanted genuine love and affection not lust or craziness.
"Let me go to the bathroom to try this on." Said Gideon as he took the suit.
"Oh you can change in front of me. I promise not to peek too much at your beautiful body." Said Mabel with a giggle.
Gideon took the suit, went into a nearby by bathroom, and locked the door. He took a deep breath and began speaking to Mabel on the other side of the door.
"Mabel I think we need to stop and slow down a bit. I love you a lot and I do want to spend the rest of my life with you and eventually have kids, but not right now. Let's just simply start dating and wait, until we're older to get married and have kids. I'm ok with being engaged and sharing kisses and romantic moments, but I think we are way to young to have children now. Let's be mature and take things slowly."
There was nothing but silence on the other side of the bathroom door. Gideon stared at the door in confusion and then he started to become uneasy by the silence that continued on for several minutes. The boy put an ear to the door to see if he could hear anything on the other side. Gideon could faintly hear the sound of something metal being scrapped across the floor and it sounded like it was heading his way.
Elsewhere, Dipper, Pacifica, and Rain were walking down a hall together discussing all the possible ways Gideon could have made Mabel fall in love with him, when they came across Wendy and Soos who had worried concerned looks on their faces.
"Guys have you seen Mabel around? She just ran into the kitchen wearing a wedding dress, grabbed my ax, and ran off with it." Said Wendy.
"She totally had this crazy mad psycho look in her eyes dudes! Really freaked me out." Said Soos.
It was then the group heard the sound of crashing and splintering of wood followed by a shrill scream of terror. Dipper and the others took off running towards the sound of the scream.
Gideon was on the far side of the bathroom, with his back pressed against the wall as he watched a big hole get smashed into the bathroom door by an ax. The ax was pulled back and Mabel's face appeared in the hole with a big insane grin on her face.
"Here's Mabel!"
Gideon screamed in terror as Mabel stuck her arm through the hole to unlock the door. Now Mabel stood before Gideon holding an ax.
"I love you to death Gideon! Our love will carry on through the afterlife and if we somehow get reincarnated, I'll find you again and marry you! The love we have will transcend time and space! I will love you for all of eternity!" Yelled Mabel as she charged at Gideon with the ax raised up high.
Gideon cried out in panic and quickly did the only thing he could think of. He thrusted his righthand forward and used his gravity magic to lift Mabel up and pin her to the celling. Mabel screamed and thrashed around on the celling, but she couldn't break free. Gideon let out a sigh of relief at his narrow escape, but then he noticed Dipper, Wendy, Pacifica, Rain, and Soos standing at the bathroom door staring at him and Mabel pinned to the celling. Dipper glared at Gideon, who nervously smiled at him.
"Your using some kind of magic and you did something to my sister." Said Dipper.
"I can...explain." Said Gideon.
"Oh please explain." Said Dipper.
While all that was going on Simon had just finished packing his bag, when both he and A Real Magic Skeleton got a call on their cellphones. A Real Magic Skeleton saw that it was Brandon calling him, so he answered it.
"Dude! You need to get some help right now! It's complete anarchy over here! There are a bunch of fairies and ants running around. All the prisoners broke out from jail and they're attacking everyone over here! Ron James can't handle this, we need Simon here ASAP!" Yelled Brandon over the sound of fighting in the background.
Simon saw it was Marceline calling him, so he answered his cellphone.
"Simon we have some serious trouble. I just got a call from Jake and according to him Castle Lemongrab and it's allies are going to attack and invade the Candy Kingdom. To make matters worse the Breakfast Kingdom, Lizard Kingdom, and Farm Village have joined up with Castle Lemongrab. Apparently Bubblegum did something stupid and now she's got all kinds of people are mad at her and the Candy Kingdom. So, me, Lucinda, Lance, and Henry are meeting up with Jake and the Peace Protectors to try to stop the fighting before it starts. We...can really use your help. Your the respectful wise ruler people listen to. If a fight...breaks out it could start a war in Ooo. I've already seen what war can do to the world and I...don't want to go through that again." Said Marceline.
"Don't worry Marceline. I'll be there and I'll do everything in my power to prevent a war from happening. That's a promise." Said Simon.
"Thank...you." Said Marceline before she hung up.
A Real Magic Skeleton filled Simon in on what Brandon had told him and Simon told A Real Magic Skeleton what Marceline had told him. Simon took a moment to process this info before speaking.
"Our first priority should be stopping a fight between the Candy Kingdom and Castle Lemongrab's forces and allies. I'm afraid if we will be too late to help Wizard City from falling even if we went there at our fattest speed. I find these incidents in the Candy Kingdom and Wizard Kingdom to be too much of a coincidence. The leaders of Castle Lemongrab and it's allies are making a big power grab. We need to convince the Breakfast Kingdom, Lizard Kingdom, and Farm Village to not attack the Candy Kingdom and end their alliance with Castle Lemongrab. With their combined help, will take Wizard City back and save all the people."
A Real Magic Skeleton and Weiss nodded in agreement with Simon's plan. It was then that the entire mountain shuddered and shook, followed by the sound of a bunch of ice crashing together outside.
In Wizard City it was complete anarchy. Fights were breaking out in front of the Capitol. Several wizards had been taken down by the invaders and the rest of the wizards were desperately fighting back. Oswidge had been knocked out by flying rock from an explosion. Chuckles got his amulet knocked away and a bucket slammed on top of his head, so he stumbled around blindly. Planktonamor had been stepped on and laid on the ground groaning. Math Magician laid on the ground groaning after he tried to attack Brain Wiz with a bunch of math problems, but he solved them and gave the magician a migraine. Abracadaniel fainted at the sight of Abracadaver, who got sliced to bits by Heckapoo, who threw all the parts through a bunch of portals in Ooo to prevent the undead being from quickly putting himself back together. Heckapoo was then knocked out by a bunch of flying balls tossed by Dodgeball Wizard. Wally the White and Funjl tried to take some revenge on Hunter Wizard, but were easily taken down with a magic exploding arrow. Malifishmertz transformed himself into a giant monster with multiple heads and started fighting Sand Witch who had created a giant robot out of sand to fight. Dark Shaman used his powers to create a rock monster, while Rock Wizard created a large rock golem to fight it. Melon Mage summoned a bunch of large watermelons that wrapped their vines around Auntie Roon and Gateaux. Dodgeball Wizard chunked a dodgeball at Melon Mage and she managed to dodge it, but it did scrape a little bit against the right side of her shirt, ripping the fabric and causing her right breast to fall out. Melon Mage blushed a deep pink and quickly covered herself. Dodgeball Wizard laughed and Melon Mage punched him in the face, knocking him down and breaking his nose.
Huntress Wizard took down a bunch of ants and fairies, when she found herself face to face with Gentleman Wizard.
"Ah good I can take revenge on you for interfering in my plans, when I tried to destroy that abomination called Gata." Said Gentleman Wizard.
"I figured a dishonorable coward like you would be involved in this." Said Huntress.
"Once Wizard City has fallen I will take my revenge on Simon and destroy Gata." Said Gentleman Wizard as his hands glowed with dark energy.
"Oh please, even on his worst day Simon can beat a jerk like you anytime." Said Huntress Wizard.
Gentleman Wizard let out a snarl and started throwing blast of energy at Huntress Wizard, who dodged around with incredible skill and fired arrows back. The traitorous wizard deflected the arrows with his magic and chased after Huntress Wizard.
While that was going on Ron James was facing some big problems of his own. Ron James was being attacked by Doctor Crocktopus, Bitterroot, Crocker, Carl, Herman, and Jordan. The magic users attacked, while Herman attacked with his fist and the hammer he had thrown that had destroyed Ron James's statue. Ron James had a powerful magic shield around himself and he would knock his attackers back with a wave of magic, but the attackers just kept coming back. Ron James was getting both frightened and upset by this. He looked around at his surroundings and saw that all the other wizards were getting ganged on by the invaders and being overwhelmed. Ron James needed to bring this to an end and he knew just the spell to do it. The Grand Master Wizard flew into the air and floated where everyone could see him.
"Alright you creeps you really picked the wrong day to try and invade. There's a new sheriff in town! That being me! Now I'm going to demonstrate my awesome powers and wipe you all out. I'm Grand Master Wizard Ron James and I'm going to cast Wizard Law on you fools! Declared Ron James as he brought his hands together to clap.
Gentleman Wizard froze in fear at the name of the legendary spell. A few of the other dark magic users also froze in fear. Ron James loudly clapped his hands together, but nothing happened. Everyone stared up at Ron James in confusion. Ron James clapped his hands together again and still nothing happened. The Grand Master Wizard began to frantically clap his hands and still nothing happened. Gentleman Wizard and his comrades began to feel confident and laugh. Gentleman Wizard began to make fun of Ron James.
"It seems the Grand Master Wizard isn't as great as he claims to be! He can't cast Wizard Law! Truly a failure! We're going to bur-"
Thunk!
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaa!"
In an instant Huntress Wizard had fired her bow and shot Gentleman Wizard in his left shoulder causing him to scream in pain and fall to the ground. The fighting started back up as Ron James floated in the air and looked helplessly at his hands. Huntress Wizard looked up at him. She figured Ron James had the same magical power as her grandfather, but lacked the knowledge to cast great magic spells like Wizard Law. Carl and Herman noticed that Ron James didn't have his shield up, so they quickly took advantage of that and attacked. Herman leaped into the air swinging his hammer and Carl fired a powerful blast of magic at Ron James. The attacks struck the wizard hard sending him crashing to the ground. Carl and Herman landed next to Ron James.
"I told you, you would regret not doing as I said." Said Herman with a cruel smile.
"Oh I think he regrets it." Said Carl with a laugh.
Ron James could only groan as his world fell apart around him.
Miles away outside the Candy Kingdom, the massive united army of Castle Lemongrab, the Puppet Kingdom, the Monkey Kingdom, The City of Thieves, the Breakfast Kingdom, Lizard Kingdom, Farm Village, and the freed patients of Mount Milkey Way Asylum stood several hundred yards away from the Candy Kingdom. The Peace Protectors stood before the group facing them. Acting Peace Protectors's leader Slippy eyed the gathered forces with William Momo, Usagi, Circe, Sprocket, Broot, Branka, and Reize standing behind him with the tank. Slippy was nervous about the current situation and wished that Gearga and Drake were back in Ooo, since they could handle the situation way better then he could. The acting leader had managed to convince the gathered leaders to have a sit down and speak with the rulers of the Candy Kingdom and find a diplomatic solution to the problem.
Also arriving on the scene was Doctor Princess, Susan, Doctor Phil the Son of Plague, Fredric the Son of Famine, Canyon, and Billy. Marceline showed up with Lucinda, Henry, and Lance and they were soon followed by the arrival of Gata, Jake, BMO, and Nemo. The gathered people exchanged polite conversation as they waited for the rulers of the Candy Kingdom.
Inside the Candy Kingdom, Cookie had gotten a forklift and was able the now giant fat Lemongrab into the palace. Lemongrab had no idea what was going on outside the kingdom, all he knew was it was something bad. Up in the palace, Braco was in the medical wing, looking at the covered form of Bubblegum's body. Braco looked like he had aged several years in the short time his wife had died. The king had a deep sadness in his eyes. How could he move on? What was he going to tell his son? All these thoughts and questions ran through Braco's mind as Peppermint Butler entered the room with a cup of hot tea.
"The rulers are waiting for you outside my lord. I fixed you some special tea to give you a little energy boost." Said Peppermint Butler.
"Thank you." Said Braco as he took the cup and drank the tea.
Braco put the cup down, gave his wife one final look, and left the room. Peppermint Butler let out a little chuckle. He had added a little something extra to the tea, something he had quickly made in Bubblegum's lab and if certain things went down it would help start a war.
Braco left his kingdom followed by Rattleballs, Cotton, Rocky, Bear Claw, Breaker, Beans, Cubby, Hot, Slush, and a few dozen guards.
A long table had been set up with chairs. On one side of the table was Breakfast Princess, Toast Princess, Strudel Princess, Lizard Princess, Mayor Farmer, Bandit Princess, Toronto, Mandarin, General Monkey, and Sir Slicer. Braco took a seat across from the other rulers and faced them.
"Where is Queen Bubblegum?" Asked Lizard Princess.
"My...wife died not to long ago." Said Braco.
Most of the rulers and a few people standing nearby heard this and immediately felt bad for Braco. Sir Slicer just simply snorted.
"Are you sure she is dead and not simply pretending to be dead to avoid taking responsibility for her actions?" Asked Sir Slicer.
Braco felt a vain in his forehead twitch and his blood boil at this.
"She is dead. I saw her die right in front of me. Now I know you all have some grievances with the asylum and what it did to some of your people. I had no idea what was going on there until recently and I can say my wife would never approve of some of the experiments that went on there. I'm deeply sorry for what happened and I will do everything in my power to fix all of this." Said Braco.
"You know this thing with the asylum is the third thing Bubblegum did behind your back." Said Sir Slicer.
"What do you mean?" Asked Braco.
"Well according to my secret sources Bubblegum created your son Neddy from hers and your DNA without telling you, until months later. Then there was that whole mess with the Fire Kingdom, which resulted in a ton of death and destruction. Also lets not forget she kept the Lich trapped in your castle for several years without bothering to give any of the other kingdoms and villages a heads up incase the Lich escaped, which it did. Man when you get down to it all Bubblegum was a very untrustworthy manipulative person, who did a bunch of underhanded things. She said she wanted peace, but I'm quit sure she was a hypocrite who simply wanted to take every ruler out and become a dictator for all the people of Ooo. We're all better off without her." Said Sir Slicer with a tiny hint of a smirk on his lips.
Braco felt his heart hammer in his chest and a great roaring pressure in his head. How dare this arrogant knight badmouth and insult his wife and bring trouble to his people and kingdom! Braco felt every cell in his body catch on fire and then his body began to change. Braco grew taller and ripped his clothes, he grew an extra right leg, spikes grew out of his knees, his left arm became big and muscular, his face became deformed and looked melted, as his mouth became full of sharp teeth and most of his hair fell out, and Braco's left eye grew to the size of a basketball and became red. The king of the Candy Kingdom was now a monster. Everyone stared at Braco in shock and horror. Braco let out a roar and slammed his left fist down on the table shattering it to bits and scattered the rulers. In one quick stride Braco grabbed Sir Slicer and lifted him up to his face. The knight stared at Braco in fear.

"My wife was a great woman and kind person! And you know what she was right about you and the people of Castle Lemongrab! You want a fight then will fight!" Roared Braco in a monstrous voice before he chunked Sir Slicer into the ranks of his forces knocking a dozen of them down.
Braco then ordered Hot to fire his fire gun into the air to alert the forces of the Candy Kingdom that they were going to war. Thousands of soldiers poured out of the Candy Kingdom and began to fight the gathered forces outside. The war had begun. The Lich in his Billy disguise gave a small sinister smile as he watched Marceline and the others desperately try and stop the fighting.
At the Ice Kingdom a different kind of crisis was going on. The ice mountains and surrounding snow areas were rapidly melting and starting to flood. Lumpy Space Princess and Brad flew from the melting kingdom screaming for their lives. The palace's foundation became unstable and then the entire palace fell onto it's side. Ice on the palace began to melt and the water from the melted snow began to flood it. Patience used her powers to create an ice boat and Slime Princess fired slime ropes to help catch and pull people to the boat. Simon ended up floating on a table with Weiss and A Real Magic Skeleton. As they floated A Real Magic Skeleton saw Thromnambular floating in the distance admiring the chaos he had caused. A Real Magic Skeleton alerted Simon about Thromnambular and the old wizard flew over and grabbed the wishing skull.
"Ah another one. One more wish and I'll be set free!" Said Thromnambular.
"Not likely. You see I know who you are and the kind of wishes you give and the chaos you cause. I know exactly how to deal with you." Said Simon.
Thromnambular let out a fearful gasp.
"I wish you had never been dug up." Said Simon.
"Noooooooooo!" Cried Thromnambular as the one on his head turned into a zero then back to an eight.
There was a bright flash and time reversed. Everything that had happened because of Thromnambular and the wishes became undone. All those that had died due to the wishes or the actions caused by wishes were brought back to life. The only ones to remember the wishes and their results were the ones who made the wishes. They were all shaken by their memories, but now they were all a bit wiser. Lemongrab appreciated his body, Gideon now knew the difference between love and lust and desired true love from Mabel, Bubblegum showed more care for her family, King and Monkey King became less greedy, Puppet King appreciated being a puppet, Lumpy Space Princess learned to simply go to places with different temperatures, and Ron James had a new appreciation for magic and the Grand Master Wizard.

In Wizard City, Ron James purchased a large gift basket with a bunch of fruit, wine, and gift cards in it. Ron James then headed to the Capitol and gave the gift basket to Grand Master Wizard.
"This is nice...but why'd you do this?" Asked GMW
"I realize your job is hard...REALLY hard, and you don't get as much respect or credit for all the hard work you do to keep us all safe..." Said Ron James.
"You made a wish to take my place and it backfired horribly didn't you?" Said GMW.
Ron James was startled by this.
"What the- How did you-"
"My boy your not the first to do this, and odds are good you won't be the last. I may not remember it...but you work this job long enough you get a 'sense' for this sort of thing...but thank you regardless." Said GMW with a smile.
Ron James smiled back and with a quick bow he left the office.
