Christmas was only two days away and Tara still a lot to do and so little time to do it. Tara took half of a day at the hospital. Finishing up her post-ups, Tara walked back into her office to hang up her lab coat and grab her purse and car keys, and heads out of the door. Walking towards daycare picking up Thomas before picking up Abel from school. Tara stopped for a moment as she felt her cell vibrating against her hand. Looking down Tara knows Jax's name flashing across her screen. After the second vibrate, Tara answered his call as she kept walking towards daycare.
" Hey, baby," Tara answered as she stopped for a moment and sat down in one of the chairs outside of the daycare. Tara still had ten minutes before she could go in and pick up Thomas and about twenty minutes before stopping by the school to pick up Abel. She was gonna meet up with Lyla so they can do their shopping together for Christmas dinner.
" Hey, I got a call from the realtor about the space you wanted to check out. She was also asking if you can meet up with her today, around four. She has other clients so today is the only day she can meet up with you."
Tara blew out a huge breath as she scratched her forehead for a moment." I am supposed to meet up with Lyla after I pick up Abel from school. We are gonna do our shopping together for the Christmas dinner we are having in two days.' Tara bit her bottom lip for a moment before asking the question." Can you meet up with the realtor?" Tara asked.
" Yeah, I can do that. But are you sure, babe? I mean it's your idea to open up a shop here in Charming." Jax says as he pulled out his cigarette from his mouth and blew some smoke out of his mouth and nose.
" Yeah, I am sure. Besides, I don't know how long it's gonna take me at the store." Tara glanced over as the door opened up and Tara stood up from the chair she was sitting in." Hey, I gotta get Thomas and then go pick up Abel. Are you coming home right after meeting up with the realtor?"
" Yeah, I am going to have Claire close up the office before she goes home. I will see you later tonight." Jax says as he hangs up as soon as Chibs and Opie walked out of the clubhouse." Change of plans. I gotta meet up with this realtor about the space Tara wants to use for a new shop she is planning on opening up in Charming. So I am gonna need you two to handle things over at Diosa."Jax says as he turned and walked over to the office to let Claire know he's leaving and to make sure she locks up before going home.
Jax then threw his leg over his Harley and sat down. A few seconds later Jax rode out of the lot and headed out to main street to talk with the realtor. This morning Jax had just talked to Ally Lowen about drawing up a straining order against Wendy. After what happened yesterday. Jax is gonna do what he needs to do to protect Abel at all cost and if the straining order against his ex-wife the only way to keep Abel and his family safe. That's exactly what Jax is gonna do.

Pulling up by the curb in front of Abel's school. Tara honked her horn and waved at Abel's teacher, Ms. Honey. to let her know that she's here to pick up Abel." Hey, baby." Tara says with a smile as Ms. Honey helped Abel into his car seat." Did you have a good day at school buddy?" Tara asked once the door was closed and after Tara waved goodbye to his teacher, before pulling away from the curb.
" Where are we going, mommy?" Abel asked as he noticed they weren't heading home right away just like they always have.
" We are going to meet up with Aunt Lyla at the store. Mommy has to do some shopping for Christmas dinner we are gonna be having at Christmas in two days and since I don't feel like cooking tonight. I was thinking of ordering pizza for dinner tonight. How does that sound?" Tara asked as she glanced over her shoulder at Abel real quick before turning back to the road.
" Sounds good mommy," Abel says as he started to color in his coloring book." Is Grandma coming over for Christmas?" Abel asked as he looks up from the page he was coloring. Abel may only be five and he may not understand everything that's going between his grandmother and his parents, But he is smart to know something is up.
Tara looked up from the mirror and looks back at Abel as she gave him a small smile as she shook her head." Sorry, baby. but no not this year. Grandma went up to Norco with her friend Nero just a few weeks before Halloween." Which is actually true. Just a few weeks before Halloween Gemma called Tara letting Tara know that she was leaving for real this time and Gemma asked if she can at least say goodbye to her boys. Tara told Gemma she would say goodbye to them for her. Tara hasn't heard from Gemma since.
"Oh, okay," Abel responded as he looks back down and continues to color more. Tara sighs softly as she hated seeing her son being so disappointed. Tara bit her bottom lip for a moment as she thought of something." Hey, baby, I'll tell you what. Why don't we call Grandma on Christmas morning and you can wish her a Merry Christmas."
Abel nods his head as he smiles even bigger, which gave Tara a sigh of relief. As much Tara hates keeping her sons away from their grandmother and Gemma away from her boys. Tara knows how much Abel loves his grandmother. Tara just wishes his grandmother wasn't Gemma Teller-Morrow. Sometimes it still pains Tara knowing that her mom isn't around to watch her babies grow or spend time with them, But she knows that her mom is always watching over her and her family.
Luckily the shopping only took no more than two hours. After letting all kids in and after Tara and Lyla put everything away n Tara's fridge. Tara put on the tea kettle on as she placed two tea bags one in each coffee cup." Abel was asking about Gemma. He was asking if she was coming over for Christmas morning." Tara says as she turned around and leans against the counter.
" Jesus, what did you tell him?"
" The truth. I told him that grandma moved to Norco with Nero and she can't make it this year, But I promised him that he can at least call her on Christmas morning though." Tara answered as she reached over and turned the burner off and grabs the kettle." And now I am wondering if I should let Abel talk to her not," Tara says as she poured hot water over the teabags.
" How does Jax feel about it?" Lyla asked as she took her cup of hot tea from Tara when Tara walked towards the table,
" I haven't told him yet. Abel asked me about Gemma after I picked him from school." Tara says as she sat down and takes a sip of her tea before setting her cup down on the table. Tara knows how exactly Jax feels about Gemma. He feels the same way, Tara feels about her. They both feel that Gemma is dangerous to their boys and after everything she did to them and what Gemma did to Jax's father. They both don't want anything to do with Gemma ever again.
" We should get going. I gotta get the kids home and make dinner before Opie comes home." Lyla says as she finished her tea and got up from the table and walks over to the sink and set her cup down." do you still want me to come over tomorrow night and help to prepare the Christmas dinner?" Lyla asked as she pulled her purse strap over her shoulder.
" Nah, just take care of the baking and I can handle everything else," Tara says as she walked out of the kitchen with Lyla. After Lyla and the kids left. Tara pulled out her cell and sat down on the couch and put in an order of pizza for tonight's dinner. When Tara hung up. She set her cell down and got up from the couch and went to check on the boys before the pizza got here.
Jax had just pulled up into the driveway when the pizza delivery guy pulled up right behind Jax. Placing his helmet on his handlebar. Jax pulled out his wallet and walked over to the pizza guy." How, much do I owe you?"
" $23.45, sir." The delivery pizza guy answered as he looked down at the bill. Jax handed him thirty dollars and told him to keep the change. Jax open the door and walked in with two boxes of pizzas. He closed the door behind him with his foot when he looked down the hallway." The pizza is here." Jax called out as he walked into the kitchen and set the boxes down on the counter.
" Hey, how did it go with the realtor?" Tara asked as she walked into the kitchen with Thomas in her arm and Abel ran towards his seat and sat down. Tara walked over to Jax and gave him a quick kiss handling Thomas over to him for a moment.
" Not bad actually. She thinks the space is big enough for your new clothing store. She did mention that it's going to cost at least ten thousand for the down payment and another ten to have it up and running." Jax says as he set Thomas in high chair.
" That's gonna be twenty thousand dollars, which unfortunately I don't have." Tara sighs softly as she scratched her forehead once more." Well, maybe I can work extra hours at St. Thomas." Tara says as she took few plates down from the cupboard.
" What about the office at TW?" Jax asked with little concerned." You haven't been around really since you hired Claire babe."
" Yeah, I know and I do feel bad for leaving her with all that work, especially now that Chucky decided to leave with Gemma." Tara says as she rolled her eyes for a moment. When Chucky came to them one day and told them he wanted to go to Norco with Gemma. At first Tara was pissed off that Chucky would just quit on her like that. But she realized she couldn't force Chucky to stay when he made it very clear that he was going. So Tara let him go.
" I will think of something." Tara says as she cut up the pizza in small pieces for Thomas and gave Abel his slices as she sat down next to Jax. Tara turned to Jax and leans towards him and spoke into a whisper." Abel wants to call Gemma on Christmas morning."
Jax let out a breath as he glanced over at his oldest son for a moment. Abel is only five but he has been through so much during the five years of his life. He turns to Tara as he nods his head." Yeah, he can do that." He whispered back.
While they were all sitting around the table eating pizza. Tara started to think what can she do to come up with Twenty thousand dollars. Tara really wants to open up a clothing store in Charming. She knows it could be risky and she could lose everything over it. But it's what she wants and it could be a new start for the new year and of course for her and her family.
