Disclaimer: I do not own anything, expect the OCs. This is just a story for fun.
Jake stood on the face of an alien world, taking in the strange sights of the stars, neighboring planets, and what appeared to be a black hole off in the distance. It was a beautiful and strange sight. Jake heard a groan and turned to see Warren sitting on the ground breathing hard and looking tired. He helped him up and gave Warren a large nearby tree branch to use as a staff to help stand him up and support himself. After a few seconds Warren caught his breath and began speaking.
"Sorry about that, the portal making took a lot out of me. Used to be able to make a dozen portals a day, but as you can probably see, I'm way past my prime. Anyhow welcome to Nerraw. My home planet."
"Nice place." Said Jake.
"Come, there is something I must show you that will explain everything." Said Warren.
Jake helped Warren walk towards the city. As they walked all the blue aliens looked at Jake and began to cheer and excitedly point. A few of the aliens pulled out cameras and took pictures. Jake smiled and politely waved at the aliens, which seemed to excite them more. Warren lead Jake deeper into the city, until they came across a large round building with a sign that had a big picture of Jake on it and the words 'Jake Museum' underneath the picture. Jake stared at it in awe for a few seconds, before Warren lead him into the museum. Inside the museum the walls were decorated with big pictures of Jake at various stages of his life doing various things, both big and small. Jake studied the pictures in awe and he saw in the background of each one, was Warren watching Jake from afar, proving that he had been looking in on Jake and checking up on him. This brought a little smile to Jake's face. Jake then turned his attention to a strange picture of himself armed with a strange device that was shooting beams of light at a large terrifying blue creature with multiple eyes and tentacles that held some terrified aliens.
"What's this?" Asked Jake.
"That is a painting interpretation of a prophecy of you fighting a great evil known as Ishcano, with the aid of the ancient weapon known as the Panzark. Ishcano is a great evil being with mighty tentacles that can stretch all through the galaxy and strangle every being in it. Our ancestors fought Ishcano a long time ago and managed to push him and injure the monster, but they were unable to kill him. Then a sheer had a vision of a great warrior, who would be able to defeat Ishcano and save the galaxy. That warrior is you Jake." Said Warren with a smile.
Jake was both stunned and thrilled by this. He had a huge role to play in the universe that involved saving it. Jake was going to become a legendary hero!
"Come. Let us go to my home and rest. We have many things to do and prepare for." Said Warren.
The two went to Warren's large house and shared a meal together. Warren showed Jake to his room and Jake helped Warren to his room and got him into his bed. Jake looked at Warren and frowned.
"There's something wrong with you that your not telling me."
"Your...right son. The fact is, I'm...dying." Said Warren.
"Dying?! But I just got you back into my life!" Cried Jake.
"I'm dying of old age, son. I've lived for a very long time and I'm afraid I don't have much time left. I'm sorry for this and I promise you that I will live long enough to help you on your quest and fulfill your destiny. Who knows I might manage to live long enough to spend some more quality time with you." Said Warren.
"This is so not fair." Said Jake.
"Life isn't always fair." Said Warren.
The two just sat and stood silently for a few moments. Warren then reached into the drawer of a nearby nightstand and pulled out a couple of belts with big buckles with words on them. One read Galaxy Savior and the other said Proud Pop. Warren put the Proud Pop belt on and handed Jake the Galaxy Savior belt. Jake put the belt on and smiled before telling Warren goodnight and left the room.
"All according to plan." Said Warren as a sinister smile spread across his face.
To be continued.
