Chapter 304 Death's Thanks

Warren felt himself get sucked into the black hole and every fiber of his being was completely obliterated in a instant. It was a horrible pain that lasted a second for Warren. He found himself in a great void of darkness and then he found himself in what appeared to be some kind of courtroom. Warren looked around at his surroundings nervously and began to back up, until he bumped into something solid. The shapeshifter turned around and found himself face to face with Death himself!

"Hello Warren, I see you've finally died after all those years of cheating me, by stealing the youth and life force of your own children." Said Death.

"No! No! No! This can't be happening!" Cried Warren in fear as he began to grasp who was standing before him and where he was.

"Oh but it is." Said Death with a smile as a file suddenly appeared in his hand.

A chair suddenly appeared beneath Warren forcing him to sit in it as straps wrapped around arms, legs, and gut restraining him. Death opened the file and began to go through.

"Your quit a piece of work Warren. You infected nearly a thousand different species with your seed forcing them to give birth to your offspring. You then just ditched them after they were born and made others raise them. Years later you show up back in your children's lives take them away from their homes to your planet tell them a fake story about being a hero who will save the galaxy and then you put your little belt on them draining them of their youth and life force and basically killing them. You then just dumped their bodies into a cave and left them. You didn't bother returning them to their home planets nor did you have the decency to bury them. Those children were nothing more then batteries to you and you just threw them away like garbage. I hate it when people rob others of their then disrespect the dead. That really makes me angry." Said Death as he glared at Warren and looked him right in the eyes.

Warren flinched underneath Death's intense glare and tried to look away, but couldn't. Death's glare was very piercing and it felt like he was able to see right into Warren's soul and see every bad deed he did. Warren felt naked and exposed. Death continued talking.

"Now we have the matter of your research. You wanted to give yourself eternal youth and immortality and you planned to sell the results to beings who would give you a fortune. From what I can see, you would have sold the results of your research to tyrants, pirates, and criminals and they would bring nothing but unbalance and chaos to the universe."

"Ok...so I may...have done some...wrongs. Surly we can work something out." Said Warren with a nervous smile.

The file disappeared from Death's hand to be replaced by his hoe. Death tapped the butt of his hoe on the floor and the chair Warren was in disappeared. Warren found himself standing and facing Joshua and Margaret. The two bulldogs glared at Warren, who turned pale as he recognized the two. Joshua stepped forward and delivered a solid punch to Warren's face that knocked him to the ground. Margaret then kicked Warren a few times in the gut. Joshua and Margaret then took turns delivering blows to Warren. After a few rounds of doing this the two stopped. Warren laid on the ground groaning.

"That's what you get for trying to kill our son and our other children." Growled Joshua.

"Scumbag." Said Margaret turning her nose up in disgust.

"Now its time for your punishment. There are some family members of yours, who wish for a little reunion with you." Said Death as a large blue door appeared next to him.

Death opened the door and several different creatures stepped out. Warren looked at the creatures with a great feeling of dread came over him as he saw many more standing behind them. It was all of Warren's past children, the ones he killed.

"Hello father." Said one of the children with a sinister voice.

"NO! You can't do this to me! Please have mercy!" Begged Warren as he looked at Death with pleading eyes.

"You really have the nerve to beg, after all the things you've done? You've murdered your own children! Your choices, greed, and lifestyle brought this on yourself!" Said Death.

A bunch of stretchy arms shot out from the mob and door grabbing Warren and dragged him towards the door. Warren screamed and clawed at the ground trying to escape. He tried to stretch away, but the arms easily held on to him as they dragged him to the door.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" Screamed Warren in anguish as he entered the door.

SLAM!

The door closed with a great crash and vanished. Warren's fate was sealed. Death turned to Joshua and Margaret.

"Come along now. There's some people we need to visit."

Death began to walk away and the dogs followed him.

Back on Nerraw, Jake was staring up at the black hole he had tossed Warren into. Jake was filling a mix of emotions. On one hand, he felt a mix of satisfaction and relief that he had put an end to Warren's cruel and selfish life and avenged all the children Warren had wronged over the years, but on the other hand Jake felt sad and guilty for killing the creature that was his father. Finn, Jermaine, Gata, Phoebe, and BMO back in his normal form stood a few feet behind Jake and silently watched him. After a few minutes Gata walked over to Jake and put a comforting hand on his shoulder. Jake looked at Gata and she spoke.

"Warren may have been your father Jake, but he sure wasn't your daddy."

"What do you mean?" Asked Jake.

"Warren was never a true part of your life. He never raised you, care for you, or loved you. You were just another youth battery to him. Joshua loved and raised you like an actual parent. It didn't matter how you were born or what you could do, he loved you because you were his son. He loved me and Finn like we were his own children and we were neither the same species as him nor were we related to him by blood and he raised and loved us. That's what a daddy does. He loves and raises his children and Warren was the farthest thing from a dad." Said Gata.

"I...guess your right. Joshua was a great dad and Warren was a horrible dad. I'm a great day and I have a bunch of beautiful kids that I love, along with a wife, some cool siblings, and awesome friends." Said Jake as a smile began to spread across his face.

"Your are awesome brother." Said Finn before he and Jermaine went over to Jake and Gata and they had a group hug for a few minutes.

"So...what should we do with the bodies in the cave?" Asked Phoebe.

"I know exactly what to do." Said Jake.

The group then went to the cave and went about gathering the bodies and carrying them outside. The bodies were neatly laid out close to one another. The group stared at the bodies for a few seconds and then Jake stepped forward to speak.

"I know I never got a chance to meet and get to know each other, but since you were all by brothers and sisters, I'd like to think your were all cool and good people and we would have liked each other. I hope with Warren dead for what he did, your souls are finally at peace. Now we're going to put your bodies to rest."

Jake nodded to Phoebe, who lite the bodies on fire. The group then clapped their hands together, as they bowed their heads and close their eyes in respect for the dead. It was then they heard someone clapping and the group turned to see Death standing a few yards away.

"I greatly approve of this. It was about time Warren got what he deserved and the souls of his victims can finally rest in peace." Said Death.

"Who...are you?" Asked Finn.

"I am Death."

"Death." Said Jermaine as he and the others paled a little.

Death gave a warm friendly chuckle.

"You can relax none of you are dead or are fixing to die. You just did me a favor by putting an end to Warren and I came to say thanks and give you a bit of a reward."

Death gave a whistle and Joshua and Margaret stepped out from behind Death and smiled and waved at their children. Finn, Jake, Gata, and Jermaine stared at their parents in shock for a few seconds before they ran towards them with happy tears in their eyes as they embraced them. It was a happy little reunion and Death smiled at the little scene. After the hugging was done, Death beckoned Gata over to him. Gata walked over to Death and stopped a few feet from him.

"Now I have a little surprise for you Gata. A bit of closure." Said Death before he let out another whistle.

A new figure stepped out from behind Death. It was a dark purple humanoid that seemed to be the same kind of species as Gata. He had short tentacle hair, a small tentacle mustache, and wore fancy royal orange clothes and a gold crown. Gata stared at the newcomer and he stared back.

"Allow me to introduce you to the Magician King. He is your father." Said Death to Gata.

The Magician King stepped forward and spoke.

"Gata. That's...a lovely name. I just want to say that I'm so sorry for all the hardships you've had to endure. It's...my fault. I was weak. I couldn't save your mother from being corrupted and turning into monster that did horrible things to both you and the Magician Kingdom. I failed you and our kingdom."

The Magician King took a deep breath and was fixing to speak some more, but Gata just stepped forward and wrapped her arms around him in a tight embrace. The monarch was stunned by this.

"Dad...it's ok. What happened wasn't your fault. These things just happen. The only thing we can do is keep moving forward. So I forgive you. Your my dad and I forgive you." Said Gata.

"You...really are your mother's child. I see her kind and compassionate spirit inside of you." Said Magician King.

"Can...you tell me more about her?" Asked Gata.

"Of course. Your mother was very smart and very skilled at magic. She also had a knack and interest in science and machinery. Your mother devoted herself to making sure the kingdom and it's people were safe and happy. The people loved and respected her for her kindness and wisdom. She deeply cared for others and she loved her people." Said Magician King.

Gata smiled at this news glad to hear that her mother had been a good person once and maybe there was a slight chance she could bring that woman back.

Everyone hung out for a bit and then Death used his hoe to open a portal to Earth and a portal to Olympia. Finn and Phoebe exchanged looks with Jake, Jermaine, Gata, and BMO. Both groups wanted to stick together, but they knew neither of them could be in two places at once. They promised that they would see each other again before they said goodbye to Joshua, Margaret, and Magician King. Death looked at the two little groups and then spoke.

"His a little bit of life wisdom for you. The circumstances of ones birth are irrelevant. It is what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are. In the end it isn't how long you live, but how fully you live. The good you do, the friends and family you make, and the love you share along the way. Life is a beautiful endless journey."

With that wisdom said everyone went their separate ways. Finn and Phoebe went to Olympia, Jake, Jermaine, Gata, and BMO went to Earth, and Death, Joshua, Margaret, and Magician King went back to the Underworld.

And thus another adventure had ended.
