Part 14
After arriving at Star Labs and putting her things in her lab Caitlin headed for the time vault. She entered and activated Gideon.
"Good morning Dr. Allen. How may I help you?" asked Gideon
"You know who I am?" asked Caitlin
"Dr. Caitlin Allen, formally Dr. Caitlin Snow wife of Barry Allen also known as the Flash. You are also known as Prophet. Both founding members of the Justice League."
"Um ok. Not sure Cisco will approve of that name for me. But anyway. Do you know of a way to stabilize the Firestorm matrix in just one person? We want to permanently separate Professor Stein and Ronnie Raymond."
"It is possible. Would you like me to send the formula to use to your computer and tablet?"
"Yes thank you Gideon."
"Of course. I will always grant any request that you have."
"Why is that? I know Barry creates you. But why me? Because I am his wife?"
"No because you are listed as an administrator of my program. Cisco Ramon is also able to have any request granted, as he is one of my programmers."
"I know not to even ask about other programmers as not to mess up the timeline."
"Very good. I only gave you the formula because you create it two years from this date and authorized that if anytime in the past for it to give it to you."
"Thank you Gideon. If Thawne ever returns do not tell him I was here."
"Of course."
Caitlin exited the time vault to go study the formula in her lab.
"Hey Caitlin what are you looking at?" asked Cisco walking in.
"The formula that I apparently create in two years to separate Professor Stein and Ronnie while letting Ronnie keep the Firestorm powers."
"Cool need any help making it?"
"Not right now. I need to make sure they want to do this. Oh according to Gideon my codename is Prophet."
"Actually I kind of like it."
"That was not what I was expecting you to say."
"I mean it kind of fits. In some cultures it is believed that a prophet can read minds. So you being a telepath plays into it."
"You have a point. But I do need you to do something. I need you to make a power dampener like the neckless you and Julian made to keep me from going Killer Frost. I just want it until I can control these powers better."
"Of course anything for you. Oh by the way let me see your phone. I need to download the meta alert app and a Flash panic button."
"That will be useful for when Charlie and I go see our mom. I don't think I can reach Barry from that far away."
"That is why I want to give them to you first."
Caitlin handed over her phone and went back to studying the formula.
Charlie and Ronnie walked into Jitters ordered their coffees and muffins then found a table to wait for their order.
"So Charlie when did you get the tattoo?" asked Ronnie
"A couple months ago. Caitlin doesn't know about it."
"Yeah Cait would go on about all the diseases you can get from getting a tattoo."
"Luckily my powers come with an accelerated healing ability."
"That is cool."
"Yeah it is."
Just then Iris brought over their order.
"So Charlie, I don't think I have met your friend." Said Iris
"He's my boyfriend. Iris West meet Ronnie Raymond. Ronnie this is Iris she is friends with Barry." Said Charlie
"Nice to meet you Iris." Said Ronnie
"You too. I didn't even know you were seeing anyone Charlie." Said Iris
"Well that is because you and I aren't friends and I like to keep my personal life just that personal. Caity knows that and would never tell the world about it."
"Charlie, don't you think you are being kind of mean?" asked Ronnie
"It's ok Ronnie. Charlie is right. She and I aren't friends. I am not really even friends with Caitlin. Caitlin's husband Barry is one of my best friends. That being said. I would like to become friends with both you and Caitlin. So what do you say to a triple date? You two, Caitlin and Barry and my boyfriend Eddie and me?" said Iris
"I will talk to Caitlin about it." Said Charlie
"Great see you later."
Iris walked off leaving Charlie and Ronnie alone.
Barry arrived at the crime scene. Joe met him outside of the restaurant that was the scene of a quadruple murder.
"All members of the Darbinyan crime family. No visible cause of death. Doors were locked from the inside." Said Joe
"Joe, it must be Kyle Nimbus, the Mist." Said Barry
"That is what I was thinking. I will get someone to watch out for Judge Theresa Howard."
"He will be coming for you too."
"I know. Don't worry I will be careful. You might want to get your genius wife on making a cure for the gas he turns into."
"Definitely."
Barry pulled out his phone and made a call.
"Caitlin's phone what can I do for you Barry?" came Cisco's voice
"Cisco what are you doing with Cait's phone?" asked Barry
"Just installing a few apps."
"Let me talk to Cait."
"Sure thing."
It took a few minutes but then he heard the voice of his wife.
"Hey honey what is up?" asked Caitlin
"Kyle Nimbus. I need you to make the cure for the gas he turns into. Just in case he goes after Judge Howard or Joe."
"I'll get on it."
"Thanks."
"Oh Charlie and Ronnie ran into Iris. Iris wants us, Charlie and Ronnie to go out to dinner with her and Eddie."
"Uh that should be really weird."
"Tell me about it? My husband from an alternate reality who is dating my twin sister who use to share my body. Your wife from that same reality who is with the ancestor of the man that killed your mom and most likely wants to kill all of us."
"Yeah so do you want to go?"
"I guess we should. I mean we don't want Iris to think that something is up."
"Guess you are right."
"Talk to you later. Talk to Iris and set it up."
"Love you Cait."
"Love you Barry."
Barry hung up and finish collecting evidence.
