Part 15
"Ok Professor Stein and Ronnie. I have a formula that I can make that will separate the two of you permanently but will let Ronnie keep the Firestorm powers if you want. Or I can make the one that you used Professor to separate you and Jax after you were shot escaping Earth-X. Which by the way I really hope was not recreated. Cause I really don't want to meet a Nazi version of me." Said Caitlin
"My dear Caitlin, I have no doubt that there could never be a Nazi version of you. From what little I heard of your Earth-2 counterpart from the old multiverse she was only following Zoom to protect herself. If she had been truly evil she never would have helped find Barry and Jesse." Said Stein
"She did trick me into freeing her and then tried to kill me."
"Wait there was an evil version of you Cait?" asked Ronnie
"Well more like Charlie now. She was an ice meta. According to Barry and Cisco there was an evil you and Cisco too. But that is a story for another day."
"Ronnie what do you think do you want to be Firestorm on your own?" asked Stein
"I think that would be great. I mean you sure you want to give up being a hero?" asked Ronnie
"Since my memory was restored of the old universe I have had my fill of adventure. Besides my daughter Lilly is expecting her first child. This time I don't want to miss out on their life."
"Make the stuff that will let me be Firestorm. Besides I think Charlie likes the idea of me being able to heat her up." Said Ronnie
"Ronnie! If I didn't know better I would think that you got over share disease from Felicity Smoak or Ray Palmer. I do not want to know about your sex life with my sister. It is bad enough I walked in on her and the creep she was going out with when we were fifteen." Said Caitlin
"Was that, that guy Mark?" asked Ronnie
"Yes."
"Cait, is it me or are you uncomfortable around me?"
"Um it's more I am uncomfortable with some of the thoughts coming from Charlie in the next room. I am a meta with telepathic powers. Cisco is making me a power dampener to use until I can control my powers better."
"How about I get her out of here for a while and you do your thing. You got a couple things you need to make right?"
"Yeah."
"I think I will go and see if there is something I can do to track the Mist while you work." Said Stein
"That would be great."
Stein and Ronnie left the bio lab and Caitlin set to work on first the antidote for the Mist then on the one for Ronnie and Stein. It was an hour and half later when she heard Stein call out.
"It seems that the Mist is not the only one we are dealing with Caitlin."
Caitlin walked out of the bio lab and looked at the reports on the monitor.
"Grodd." Said Caitlin
"It appears so. Though he seems to just be waiting in Central City Park and not attacking."
"That is odd. I'm going to call Barry to take me to him. He and I have this connection. I am one of the few people that he likes."
"Other than Thawne, I wasn't aware he liked anyone. You know the Legends had to deal with Grodd a couple of times. Once was during the Vietnam war. Mick also ran into his father there. After meeting that man it is no wonder that he ended up the way he did."
"After you died I heard that Damion Darkh sent Grodd to kill President Obama while he was still in college or was it law school? I can't remember which."
Barry spend in just then already in his suit.
"Cait are you sure you want to do this? Grodd might attack you. He has taken control of you before more then once." Said Barry
"Something tells me that if he wanted to destroy the city he would be doing that right now. He might want to talk."
"Ok but if he tries anything on either of us I am getting you out of there."
"I have no problem with that."
Barry picked Caitlin up and flashed them to the park which was completely empty expect for the 800 pound gorilla standing on a soccer field.
"Flash, Caitlin. Grodd is happy to see both of you." Said Grodd
"What do you want Grodd?" asked Caitlin
"Grodd wants your help to get to Gorilla City. Grodd remember old earth. I don't want to be what father wants me to. I just want to live in peace. Help me get to Gorilla City and I will leave you alone."
"Why should we believe you?" asked Barry
"Grodd was happy in Gorilla City. I just want to live in peace."
Barry turned to Caitlin looking her in the eye.
"I believe him Flash." Said Caitlin
"So do I. I will call Vibe and have him open a breach to Gorilla City for Grodd. Just one thing Grodd, if you ever leave Gorilla City and hurt any human we will lock you away again." Said Barry
"Agree."
Cisco arrived at the park only a few minutes after he was called. He opened a breach and Grodd walked through leaving Central City behind.
"So we really trusting Thawne's pet?" asked Cisco
"I wasn't picking up on any ulterior motives. I know that I am new at this. But even before he never wanted to hurt me. Thawne used him just like us. So I believe that he just wants to leave the human world behind." Said Caitlin
"I just hope this doesn't come back to bite us in the ass. Oh I did finish your neckless. It wasn't hard now that I know what I am doing. Besides seeing metas have existed on this earth for years so it was even easier. It is made of carbine so it shouldn't be too easy to break." Said Cisco
"Thanks the last thing I need is to lose control of these powers around my mother."
"You sure you don't want me to come with you and Charlie on Friday?" asked Barry
"As much as I would love that. This is something that my sister and I need to do on our own. We should get back to the lab and see if we can catch us the Mist before he kills again." Said Caitlin
Cisco opened a breach and the three of them jumped through. They found Stein, Ronnie and Charlie waiting for them and an alert going off.
"Gas attack at Central City mall. At the elevator near Big Belly Burger." Said Charlie
"Suit up Frost. Time for us to go capture us a very dangerous metahuman." Said Barry
"Good cause I am in the mood to freeze something." Said Charlie
Everyone watched as Charlie's hair turned white skin paled and eyes started to glow a frosty blue. Her suit appeared at the same time. Barry scooped her up and they were gone. Ronnie raised an eyebrow as he looked at Caitlin.
"This is the first time I have seen Charlie transform. I mean other than in the old universe when she took over for me." Said Caitlin
"It is kind of cool. I mean her eyes were normally the first to change. Then her hair." Said Cisco
"It is. It is kind of a turn on." Said Ronnie
"Cisco give me that damn neckless! I don't want to hear Ronnie's thoughts about what he is going to do to my sister in bed." Said Caitlin
Cisco opened a drawer by his computer and handed it to Caitlin. Caitlin put it on and let out a sigh of relief.
"Silence. I have missed this." Said Caitlin
Caitlin then turned to the monitor that had vitals for both Barry and Charlie. Both looked good. It was only a few minutes later that Barry and Charlie returned.
"Mist is safe and sound locked up in Iron Heights meta wing." Said Barry
"That is one thing I do like about this earth. We don't have a prison in the basement. Or a morgue." Said Caitlin
"Yeah that is a good thing. No evil Wells cutting up dead metas." Said Cisco
"Well Judge Howard is in the hospital recovering. We didn't make it in time to stop the attack. But we were in time to save her life." Said Charlie
"Seems Miss West has started a blog. She is writing about a red streak and Elsa." Said Stein
"Flash, you better set that reporter straight about my name. I will not have anyone call me the name of that Disney Ice Queen." Said Charlie
"You better talk to her tonight." Said Caitlin
"Ok if you are sure." Said Barry
"I am sure. Besides I know whose bed you are in at night."
"Yeah besides she is with Eddie."
"True. Now go set things straight Flash or you might end up in a block of ice."
Barry kissed Caitlin then sped off.
