Part 18
Caitlin glanced at her sister who was wearing a pair of dark sunglasses and half dozing in the passenger seat of the car.
"Charlie we will be there in like five minutes." Said Caitlin
"Yeah we would be there by now if you had let me drive."
"Yeah I think I told you that I will never let you drive me anywhere. If I didn't know better I would think you were a race car driver in a past life."
"It is possible. I mean we know very little about this reality."
"Well the history of this earth isn't that much different from our old one. I mean other than aliens being here, and Black Lightning also being here."
"You going to tell mom about your powers?"
"I don't want any secrets. Char, mom and I were slowly patching things up after dad died for real."
"I know. I am just nervous about how mom will react once she realizes that I use to be literary your other side. That I was your version of what Icicle was to dad."
"She loves you. That is not going to change. Though she is probably going to want to meet Ronnie. She and I weren't talking when I married him in the old reality."
"That will be oh so fun."
Caitlin sighed as she parked the car in the parking lot of Tannhouser Industries. Both women got out of the car and walked into the lobby.
"Isn't that the bitch that didn't want to let you see mom until mom intervened because you didn't make an appointment." Asked Charlie
"Yeah. But mom knows we are coming so hopefully we can get past the woman."
Both sisters walked up to the desk and Caitlin spoke.
"Will you let Dr. Tannhouser know that Caitlin and Charlie Snow are here?" asked Caitlin
The receptionist typed away at her computer before looking at the sisters.
"You don't have an appointment. Dr. Tannhouser is very busy."
"Jackie, my daughters don't need an appointment to see me. But if you check again you will see that I have a lunch appointment and cleared the rest of my day." Said Carla walking down the stairs.
"I'm sorry Dr. Tannhouser. I didn't know that they were your daughters." Said Jackie
"You didn't let us tell you either." Said Charlie
"Girls, I have one thing to finish before we leave. Come up to my office and we can talk. It is just signing some paperwork." Said Carla
"Sure mom." Said Caitlin
Caitlin and Charlie followed Carla up to her office. Once there Carla went to her desk and sat down making sure to hit the privacy button.
"So is there something you girls want to tell me?" asked Carla
"Mom, Barry has only been out of his coma for a week! There is no way that I am pregnant." Said Caitlin
"You could be Caity. I mean you two have always gone at it like rabbits since you decided the dork was the one you want." Said Charlie
"Ok correction if I am pregnant it is way to early to know because it would have just happened."
"Actually I was asking more about you Charlie." Said Carla
"Mom, I am not pregnant. Caity maybe you should use the ring now." Said Charlie
Caitlin nodded and reached across the desk and touched the memory ring to Carla's arm.
"Caitlin was it really necessary to do that and give me this headache?" asked Carla
"Sorry mom. But do you remember everything?" asked Caitlin
"Yes. Charlie, you use to be the Killer Frost part of Caitlin right?" asked Carla
"Yes but it is just Frost. I am not a killer." Said Charlie
"Of course not honey. Neither of my girls would ever kill anyone unless they had no choice. I mean if it was only in self defense or to save someone else. I may have been a bad mother in both realities to both of you. But I know I never could raise a killer." Said Carla
"We know mom. But part of the reason we restored your memory is we need to know the truth. Is dad alive?" said Caitlin
"Meaning did we fake his death like in the old reality. Yes he is alive. He is an ice meta that has turned evil."
"Well you don't need to worry if he gets out it won't be because of us." Said Charlie
"Mom, in the old reality Cisco and I created a metahuman cure. We haven't had a chance to make any up yet. But I have the formula on a thumb drive that I brought with me. You know more about dad's condition then I do." Said Caitlin
"I will be happy to look over it to see if we can rid him of that ice demon without losing him." Said Carla
"It is password protected. But you already know the password. It is what dad use to call our family." Said Caitlin
"I will look it over. But how about we head out to lunch. I know that Charlie wants to be sure to be back before the Friday night crowd shows up at her bar."
The three woman headed out. None of them were aware that they were being watched as they climbed into the car to head for the restaurant.
Icicle watched as his family or he should say the family of Thomas Snow headed out together. He was not Thomas Snow and hadn't been for a very long time. He was disappointed that while he had given Charlene powers much like his own he had not given her an ice persona. But he was sure he could fix that. He needed to track down what he would need to give his wife and Caitlin their own ice personas and make a serum to kill off all their human sides for good. But that was going to take time. He walked off knowing that there was nothing he could do today.
After lunch Carla hugged both of her daughters.
"I want both of you girls to be careful. I mean it Charlie. Don't do anything that could get you killed. I do want to meet your boyfriend and I hope to be invited to your wedding." Said Carla
"I promise to be careful. You know Caity won't let me hear the end of it if I get hurt." Said Charlie
"She's got that right. I yell at the Flash all the time when he is reckless." Said Caitlin
"Well I am sure your husband knows better then to make you angry. Don't act surprised. I figured out that Barry Allen was the Flash back in the old reality. I mean he was there investigating the theft at Tannhouser Industries and the Flash comes to rescue us after we were kidnapped. I could see how much he cared for you then honey." Said Carla
"I still don't understand how more people didn't figured out who the Flash was. I mean Barry wakes up from a coma and the Flash shows up. Flash and Barry disappear at the same time then return at the same time." Said Charlie
"For the same reason until he was exposed no one knew Oliver Queen was the Green Arrow." Said Caitlin
"Mr. Queen doesn't need to worry I am not going to tell his secret. In fact tell him if he needs something I can help with to call me. Give him my private number." said Carla
"I will let him know mom." Said Caitlin
"Oh and Caitlin, learn to control whatever powers you are using that neckless to dampen. You never know they might come in handy." Said Carla
"I'm a telepath. I know someone with similar powers I plan to see if they can train me. I knew that I might not be able to keep my emotions under control and didn't want to pick up on your thoughts or broadcast my mine. That is the only reason I am wearing the dampener."
"Trust me mom, you don't want to hear her thoughts." Said Charlie
"Like I want to know what is going on in your head." Said Caitlin
Charlie just rolled her eyes before both twins got into the car to head home.
