Part 20
Barry and Caitlin walked into Mario's Italian restaurant just after six. They were quickly shown a table. Turned out that Barry had called earlier in the day to make a reservation. Barry looked over the wine list and ordered a bottle of the house red. Then both of them looked over the menu.
"So Barry what made you want to take me out tonight?" asked Caitlin
"Can't I just want a date night with my beautiful wife?"
"Barry, of course. But you forget I know you to well. There is something on your mind."
"Boy I am glad you have that neckless. I was hoping that after we deal with Thawne that maybe we could think about starting a family."
"Well seeing as both your dad and my mom have hinted that they want grandchildren. Though mom wants Charlie to get married first. That sounds nice. That was the one thing I did regret in the old reality. That Ronnie and I never got the chance to have a child. But I know you will make a great dad. You have had two great roll models in your life."
"Well three if you count this reality. Jesse and I went to live with Jay and Joan after my dad went to prison. Though looking back he would disappear from time to time. Joan if she knew never would say where he went."
"Maybe it is time you ask. I mean we can restore his memory of the old reality."
"That might be a good idea. Cait, I don't know what I would do without you in my life."
"Well you don't have to worry about that. I am not going anywhere."
Barry leaned over the table and kissed her.
Charlie threw back a shot of vodka before walking around the bar and headed over to two men that were about to start throwing punches. Norvock was on his way over as well.
"Numskulls, there is no fighting in this bar. I told you two before that everyone is welcome here. Human, meta, alien, straight, gay, bisexual. Whatever. Either you two knock it off or take it outside and you will be banned. Do I make myself clear?" yelled Charlie her eyes glowing a frosty blue.
"He broke my image inducer!" yelled one of the men who had reptilian like skin.
"It was an accident. I didn't know what it was! I had no idea he was really a snake man!" yelled the bald headed over six feet tall man dressed in an Mercury Labs security uniform.
"Marvin, this isn't the first time you have caused a problem. I also doubt that Dr. McGee would be pleased to find out that one of her employees is treating anyone with disrespect. Now settle up and get out. Norvock, Marvin is not allowed back for two months." Said Charlie
"Got it Charlie. Come on let's go." Said Norvock
"I know a couple of engineers that work at Star Labs. I can have them look over the image inducer to see if it can be repaired." Said Charlie
"Thanks. I'm Zarden." Said the reptilian alien
"No problem."
"How do you know Dr. McGee? I am a scientist at Mercury Labs. A chemist."
"My sister works at Star Labs and is married to the son of the man Dr. McGee is dating. So I have met her gatherings at my sister's place. So what you want to drink? I will give you one drink on the house."
"Jack and coke. It's my favorite earth drink."
"You got it. I'll take that inducer my boyfriend is one of the engineers I was telling you about he and the other one are sitting at the bar."
"Thanks. It's just some people get freaked out when they see me."
"It don't bother me. But then again there are 800 pound telepathic meta gorillas and I heard a rumor about a man shark."
"A man shark that is not someone I would want to meet."
Charlie just smiled and headed over to the bar.
"Ronnie, Cisco take a look at this. See if it can be fixed." Said Charlie
"This was made by L Corp. The former Luthor Corp. Name was changed when Lena Luthor took over as CEO after her brother Lex disappeared." Said Cisco
"Yeah well knowing him he is most likely plotting in some lair how to destroy Supergirl and Superman." Said Charlie as she made a drink.
"Yeah you guys got to fill me in on the whole Lex Luthor thing." Said Ronnie
"Lex Luthor hates all aliens. Kryptonians the most. He has spent tons of money on anti Kryptonian tech." said Cisco
"The loser also during crisis made himself the paragon of truth replacing the Superman from Earth-96 who looked just like Ray Palmer." Said Charlie
"Lex Luthor a paragon of truth that is so wrong." Said Cisco
"No kidding so boys is that dohicky fixable?" asked Charlie
"Yeah but I need to go to my lab to do it." Said Cisco
"Use the private back room to breach yourself there." Said Charlie
Cisco left leaving Ronnie and Charlie at the bar.
"So Char, Barry tells me that you want to go white water rafting." Said Ronnie
"Yeah though Caity is not really fond of the idea. But I want my sister there with me."
"Well you know Cait. She is not really into adventure."
"True. But between the two of us and her dorky husband we can convince her. Especially if we get Cisco and Kamilia to come too."
"Get Cisco and me to come on what?" asked Kamilia returning to the bar.
"The white water rafting trip I am planning for after we get rid of Thawne." Said Charlie
"Yeah I remember that bastard. He is the reason I died in the old reality. I can't wait until we make him pay for all the pain he has caused." Said Ronnie
"Well we will just as soon as I finish with Jesse and Wally's suits. They both got their speed so we got three speedsters, an ice queen, Firestorm, myself and maybe even the Super cousins." Said Cisco returning.
"You fixed it?" asked Charlie
"Yeah it actually wasn't that hard." Said Cisco handing the image inducer to Charlie
"Thanks. By the way you and Kamilia are going on a white water rafting trip with Ronnie, me and my loveable but geeky sister and brother in law."
Charlie walked off to give back the inducer. Zarden smiled hit the button and his reputation features were replaced with the image of a redheaded green eyed man.
After leaving the restaurant Barry and Caitlin went for a moonlight walk by the river. Barry had wrapped his arm around Caitlin holding her close. Caitlin leaned into him feeling safe and comfortable in his arms. They were so lost in each other that they didn't notice they were being watched.
"What does my daughter see in that boy?" asked Icicle
"No idea. But I am going to kill that boy and you will get your family back." Said Thawne
"My dear wife is going to pay for locking me up. I already locked Thomas up so far down he will never see the light of day again."
Thawne smiled knowing that very soon he was going to end Barry Allen and he will make sure that the Justice League never forms. Because after killing Barry Allen he will kill the Green Arrow, Black Canary and the Super cousins. Because he knew one thing they didn't kryptonite was not the only thing that will kill them. A vibrating hand to the heart will kill the alien heroes as well. He grabbed Icicle and they took off leaving the young couple alone.
