Part 22

Caitlin frowned when she hung up from calling her mom. Her mom's phone had gone right to voicemail. Not that it was really anything new. But it had been going right to voicemail all day. Her mom had left her a message earlier saying to call her that she had an answer on weather the meta cure would work to bring her dad back. But as a precaution she had already made the cure. Jesse had volunteered to take it into the speed force for an hour twenty minutes ago. She walked out into the cortex to find her sister making different shapes out of ice and placing them on a tray.

"Charlie have you heard from mom?" asked Caitlin

"Nope. But you know that she and I only talk when we have to. Why?"

"She left me a message earlier to call her. That she had looked over the cure and was going to let me know if she thinks it will work on dad."

"Caity while I got along better with dad. He is the reason I have these powers. The particle accelerator explosion just awoken them."

"I know. But I am worried. Mom while neither of us get along the greatest with her, if she asks us to call her always answers the phone. But it isn't even ringing. It is going right to voicemail."

"That is weird. Maybe you should send Barry to check on her."

"That is what I was thinking. I will call him in a couple of minutes. So how are things going with you and Ronnie?"

"Great. But you do know that the only way you will get out of going white water rafting is if you get pregnant."

"I know. I want you to know I am happy for you. You have the life you want and a great guy. One that we aren't going to let die on you this time."

"Good cause if Thawne were to kill Ronnie then I just might turn into Killer Frost."

"Trust me I would not lose sleep over his death. Just like I won't lose sleep over Zoom if he were to come back. But we won't be tricked by him telling us he is Jay Garrick this time."

"Well Jay is your Uncle in law. You do know that there is a big chance if you get pregnant that you will have twins."

"For someone who has no interest in science or medicine you know a lot about it."

"Just because I don't care about that stuff doesn't mean I didn't pay attention in school."

"I know. I'm going to go call Barry."

Caitlin went back into the med lab to call her husband.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU THINKING!" yelled Thawne

"You are taking to long with your plan. I am getting my family as soon as possible." Said Icicle

"YOU IDIOT! We don't have a cryoatomizer. We can't make the Snow sisters or Carla here like you without it."

Carla let out a sigh of relief that she hadn't authorized the device to be built yet in this reality. Now that she remembered what the monster that took over her husband had tried to do with it.

"You aren't going to win. Neither of my daughters will embrace the darkness. They despite my shot comings as a mother have found and embraced the light and love." Said Carla

Thawne walked over to her and grinned evilly. He lowered his voice so Carla was the only one that could hear him.

"So they restored your memory from before crisis. Then you know they were once one and did fall into darkness." Said Thawne

"That won't happen this time."

"Don't be so sure. Given the right circumstances anyone can become a villain."

"That won't happen to my girls. I may not have been the best mother in either reality. But the one thing I did right in each of them is I did not raise any murders. Caitlin is not a killer and neither is Charlie."

"No Barry Allen changed that some how in the old reality. Frost never truly became Killer Frost even if she used that name for a time. But I might be able to press the right buttons to make her embrace who she is truly meant to be."

"Thawne, I don't think so. You may have had a hand in the old reality creating Frost. But she has the one thing she didn't acceptance and love in this one."

"It is too bad you know who I really am. Not that it matters. Your company is not the only ones looking into cryo technology. I happen to know that Wayne Enterprises in Gotham is looking into it as well."

Carla tried to look surprised but she knew that Bruce Wayne had people looking into it. She had no idea why. But she knew that kind of technology was dangerous.

Barry sped into Carla's office to find it covered in ice. He knew that Charlie didn't do it. Snart was somewhere in time with Sara and the rest of the Legends. That left one person. That is unless for some reason Mr. Freeze decided to leave Gotham to go after the CEO of Tannhouser Industries.

"Cait, your mom isn't in her office and it is covered in ice." Said Barry over the com.

"Barry, do you think that Thawne knew where my dad was and freed him?"

"Well based on timing of when he killed the real Wells and when your dad faked his death. It is possible. I will call Kate Kane and see if she can have her people look into the whereabouts of Victor Fries."

"Wait until you get back. We don't need any of my mom's employees finding out anyone's secret identity."

"On my way honey."

Just as Barry was about to leave he noticed a piece of paper pinned to the wall next to a photo of the Snow family when Caitlin and Charlie were kids with an icicle. He grabbed the paper and read it quickly before shoving it into his suit and flashing out.
