Part 26

Caitlin took a deep breath and opened the blast door. Thomas looked up as the three women, his family entered.

"Carla, Caity, Charlie. What happened why am I in this prison?" asked Thomas

"What is the last thing you remember?" asked Carla

"Going to the black site in the arctic to protect you and the girls." Said Thomas

"That was over fifteen years ago" said Carla

"That much I could have figured out on my own. The girls are grown up. Both of you are beautiful." Said Thomas

"Why fake your death dad?" asked Caitlin

"Caity."

"Don't call me that. You lost the right to use that name when you walked away from us making my sister and me think you were dead. You made mom obsess over finding a cure for you." Said Caitlin

"Well apparently she did find a cure." Said Thomas

"I had nothing due with this cure that Caitlin has for any metahuman that doesn't want their powers. It was her and her friends. Caitlin is much smarter than either of us." Said Carla with pride.

"What about you Charlie? Did you help with this cure?" asked Thomas

"No. If you ever knew anything about me then you would know I don't give a damn about any of that science crap." Said Charlie

"You are right. The Charlie, I remember was into art. Could draw better then anyone in this family even if I never did understand any of it."

Charlie raised an eyebrow surprised that he seemed proud.

"Dad, do you want to take the cure? I want you to understand that if you take it then it will kill Icicle." Said Caitlin

"Did Charlie take it?" asked Thomas

"Why would I take it? I love my powers. It is not like I got an evil roommate with them like you did." Said Charlie

Thomas notice that one of the young men that had remained silent pulled Charlie into his arms and began whispering in her ear.

"Take her upstairs. I can take care of Carla and Cait." Said Barry

"Come on Char. Maybe we can get someone to go get us something to eat." Said Ronnie

"I would rather have a drink. Let's go to the lounge. There is a bar there." Said Charlie

"Since when does Star Labs have a lounge with a bar?" asked Ronnie walking off with Charlie.

Barry and Caitlin hid smiles remembering their own surprise when they found out about it. Charlie had stocked the bar herself with both alcohol and non alcoholic beverages. Though Caitlin had taken care of the coffee and tea.

"If taking this cure gives me a chance to make things right with all of you then I will do it." Said Thomas

"Then I need to go get it ready. I hope you understand that you are staying in that cell until I have the cure ready and cuffed until we know it worked." Said Caitlin

"Of course honey." Said Thomas

"Stay with mom. Just in case."

Barry nodded and gave Caitlin a soft kiss before she headed up to her lab.

"I don't think we have been introduced young man." Said Thomas

"Barry Allen, Cait is my wife." Said Barry

"Barry, has been one of the best things to happen to Caitlin. He opened her heart after she shut it off from everyone but her sister and myself." Said Carla

"I look forward to getting to know you Barry." Said Thomas

"Dr. Snow, I love Cait, and I will do anything I have to, to protect her. Even if it means keeping you out of her life if you were to hurt her." Said Barry

Thomas nodded not wanting to risk saying anything to set the young man off.

Ronnie sat on the couch in the lounge with Charlie curled up next to him. His girlfriend was drinking some strong mixed drink that she had made herself. Cisco came to check on them.

"You doing ok Frosty?" asked Cisco

"Been better Vibe boy." Said Charlie

"So what about you Ronnie?"

"How did I not know this place existed?" asked Ronnie

"Well we didn't know about it in the old reality until Nora, Barry and Iris's daughter from the future came back in time and told us about it." Said Cisco

"Wait, Barry and Iris had a kid that came back in time? Why?" asked Ronnie

"Thawne manipulated her to get her to have us destroy this power damping dagger this big bad we faced had. We called him Cicada well actually there were two Cicadas but that is not something we need to get into right now. But yeah Nora came back and we ended doing what Thawne wanted."

"Well that won't happen now. He is gone and Eddie won't have to commit suicide to try and stop him." Said Ronnie

"Best of all you aren't going to die to close a singularity." Said Charlie

"That is the best news. But you know I would die to protect you Char. I love you." Said Ronnie

"Love you too. I really love the way you heat me up." Said Charlie

"No lovey dovey stuff anywhere in Star Labs!" said Cisco

"Then the next time I catch you and Kamilia making out in your lab I get you cool you off." Said Charlie with a smirk.

Cisco just walked off mumbling to himself.

"You feeling better Char?" asked Ronnie

"Yeah, I am not normally this emotional."

"It's ok. I know that you always have had trouble with showing your softer emotions. I am cool with that. I love everything about you. Even your icy cool powers."

"Well you are the only one that can heat me up and melt my ice."

"How about we get out of here? Cait or some else will call if they need us."

"Sounds good to me."

Charlie pulled out her phone sent a text to Caitlin to let her know they had left the building. Then the two of them headed out to go home.

Barry answered his phone when it rang.

"Hey Joe."

"Bare, Singh wants to know what happened at the park. You need to come in and let him know."

"Got it. I'm on my way."

Barry hung up told Carla he had to go and was gone in a streak of lightning. Thomas just raised an eyebrow and Carla just smiled.
