Part 32
As Barry walked into the crime lab he was talking to Caitlin on the phone.
"Yeah both Joe and Singh think it is a good idea. You don't have to worry. You are the only woman I want. You will always be the Sandy to my Danny."
Patty smiled as Barry hung up after saying I love you.
"Hey Barry how's Caitlin?" asked Patty
"She is fine. But there is something that I need to tell you."
"What is it?"
"You will know in just a minute."
Barry placed his hand with the memory ring on Patty's arm. He watched as she swayed and caught her before she fell.
"Wow that was a rush. But probably not as big of a rush as you get when you run. Right Flash?"
"Yeah. Patty, you know I am married to Caitlin and I love her. I hope that we can still be friends."
"No that is fine. Besides I don't think that we would have worked out anyway. So why give me memories from a world that no longer exists?"
"Because, Zoom is back and we don't know when he is going to make his move or where. We need everyone on the look out for him. We do know his real identity. It is Hunter Zolomon and he has already tried to get us to trust him."
"Well, I am no meta at least not that I know of. But I think you already have the best teammate to stop him. So is Frost your wife or her twin?"
"Charlie is Frost. Though Cait, does have powers. She is a telepath. But I think that you should come by Star Labs and you can always help brainstorm or even help Cait in the bio lab if we need something."
"Are you sure she will be ok with that?"
"Patty, of the girls I dated in that old reality she thought you were the best fit for me. Beside aren't you two friends?"
"Yeah. So um is Iris in on this? I know you married her in that old reality."
"No she doesn't know I am the Flash and we are trying to keep her in the dark about that as long as possible. Besides she is in love with Eddie. If he hadn't died I don't think I would have gotten her."
"So who does know so I don't say something to the wrong person. I know Caitlin, Charlie know. I am guessing based on what I heard you talking about that Joe and Captain Singh know."
"They do. So does Cisco Ramon who works at Star, his girlfriend Kamilia who is a photographer/bartender and Charlie's boyfriend Ronnie Raymond who is a meta on the team called Firestorm."
"He is that fire guy? Too bad he is taken he is hot."
"That was a bad pun. But my sister Jesse and Joe's son Wally also know. Besides my dad and his brother and sister in law. So does Dr. McGee from Mercury Labs. Besides some of the other heroes. But I can't tell you any more about them."
"No I totally get that. It is not your secret to tell."
"Glad you understand."
"Well we should get to work. Don't need the Captain to get mad at us."
"Let's get to work."
Caitlin was working in the bio lab when she heard someone at the door. She turned to see both Jay and Jesse standing there.
"So Jesse told me that Zoom is back. You doing ok Caitlin?" asked Jay
"Yeah why wouldn't I be?" asked Caitlin
"Caitlin, you don't lie very well. We both know that you are scared that he will kidnap you again. Uncle Jay and I probably understand better than anyone how evil he really is. He will want to come after us and Wally for our speed just like he will be after Barry." Said Jesse
"Jay, you know more about the speed force then any of us. Is it possible that he has any memory of the old reality?" asked Caitlin
"It is possible. I mean there is a lot I don't know. But I do know that since it exists outside of space and time and he could remember. Or he could be like Barry was when you pulled him out of the speed force after Savitar." Said Jay
"That helps. I am not going to make velocity 9 this time."
"Maybe we should Caitlin. If we can get him to overdose like your friend Eliza Harmon did then he could run himself out of existences." Said Jesse
"No Jesse, I don't want to risk it falling into the wrong hands. Eliza nearly killed you with it."
"I remember but that won't happen this time. I mean first off she isn't going to find out about it. Second I already am a speedster. So yes it can hurt me. But one dose shouldn't kill me."
"Not a risk I am willing to take."
"Caitlin is right. We will find another way to stop Zoom. Before he kills Henry." Said Jay
"Not that Barry will create Flashpoint this time. So hopefully there will be no Savitar." Said Caitlin
"Yeah, though I never did find out what he had been planning for me." Said Jesse
"Well it was probably pretty bad. I suffered a fate worse than death reliving the worse day of my life over and over again." Said Jay
"What was that if you don't mind me asking? I know Wally relived watching his mom die over and over again." Said Caitlin
"The defeat of the Justice Society of America at the hands of the Injustice Society. I watched too many of my friends die. Or disappear in the case of Dr. Midnight."
"What do you mean disappear?" asked Caitlin
"The speed force is not the only place that exists in a plain that is unreachable by most people. There is a man I only know as the Shade. He gets his powers from a place called the shadow realm. I believe it is possible that he sent Dr. Midnight there so there is a slim chance he is still alive. The only one I know for sure escaped that night is Starman's driver Stripsy."
"Jay, if you know where your friend is maybe it is time you reach out to him." Said Caitlin
"I know where he is. He has a family and I am not about to put them in danger from Zoom. If he were to find out about my friend and his family he will use them to get me to give him my speed."
"We aren't going to let that happen Uncle Jay." Said Jesse
"You young lady are not going to do anything to protect me. I may not be as young as I once was. But I know a few tricks that none of you kids have learned yet."
"Mind impacting that wisdom on my loveable but impulsive husband?" asked Caitlin
"That I can do. For Jesse and Wally too."
"Good. I would rather not have to keep patching them up for something that could be prevented." Said Caitlin
"Um you haven't had to patch me up." Said Jesse
"True. But Wally and Barry have kept my hands full. Well at least this time Frost won't be stabbing anyone this time." Said Caitlin
"That is true. So where did your sister go?" asked Jesse
"Shopping for a very special ring with Ronnie."
