Carla walked out into the cortex and smiled at Barry.
"Your wife wants to tell you something Barry." Said Carla
Barry nodded and walked into the med lab.
"Hey honey, your mom said you have something to tell me."
"First take a look at the results of this blood test I had my mom help me with."
Barry looked at the results.
"The only thing I see is that your HCG level is really high."
"Do you even know what HCG is?"
"I know it is a hormone."
"Yes. Do you know why mine would be so high?"
"Not really. I mean other than in women it can get higher at a certain time of the month."
"But not this high. There is only one reason it can get this high."
"Ok. But it is not a bad thing right? I mean Carla had a smile when she said you wanted to tell me something."
"Let's just say it is a good thing you are the fastest man alive."
"Why is that?"
"Because when I am craving something at 2am you will have no problem going anywhere in the world to find it for me. Though I have to give up sushi and coffee for a while. Well probably most fish."
Caitlin knew when Barry put the pieces together.
"Are you telling me that you are pregnant?"
"Yeah I am."
"I'm going to be a dad?"
"Yes."
Just then Barry fell to the floor fainting. Caitlin just shook her head. She opened a drawer on the medical cart and pulled out smelling salts. She thought about waking him the same way she had after Hanibal Bates had knocked him out and tied him up on the old Earth. But remembered he had brought up smelling salts then. She was about to kneel down and wake Barry when she noticed Charlie standing in the door with a smirk.
"He fainted?" asked Charlie
"Yeah. I am about to wake him with smelling salts."
"Just smack him. That is what I would do."
"I am not you. Besides he will just wine if I did that."
"So I am going to be an aunt?"
"Yes. Just don't do anything stupid out there. I want my kid to know their fun aunt."
"So you already know I am going to be the fun aunt."
"Of course. You forget I know you better than anyone."
"True. But you know I am going to have to tell Cisco and everyone else that the Flash fainted when he found out he was going to be a dad."
"I know."
Caitlin knelt down and waved the smelling salts under Barry's nose. He sat up and smiled at her.
"Well at least this time you didn't slap me to wake me." Said Barry
"Thought about it. Charlie thought I should." Said Caitlin
"You are a bad influence on my wife." Said Barry looking at Charlie
Charlie just smirked and left the couple alone.
"So we are going to have a baby." Said Barry
"Well at least one. There is a chance that we could have twins. I mean I am one. Your mom was one. And while your dad and Jay are not twins. They look like twins."
"I didn't even think about that."
"Now you better come back to me. I do not want to raise any possible speedsters on my own."
"Trust me I have a very good reason to come back. Besides do you really think that your sister is going to let me die out there? Hell she might call Sara and have the Legends pick her up to take her back so that she can stab me in the leg to stop my death."
"Not sure if Sara would go for that. It depends on how important you are to the timeline and if your death were to become a fixed point."
"Very true. You know that you need to stay here. You can't go with us to go after Iris."
"I know. Cisco already made a cold gun for me to use just to be safe."
"You are a crazy good shot. Hell you were really good on the old Earth."
"Yeah I know. Maybe I was Annie Oakley in a past life. Or maybe she is my ancestor or something."
"Anything is possible."
Barry kissed Caitlin and the two walked out to the cortex together.
Iris struggled against the chains on her wrist. She had no idea why this monster had taken her. She jumped when Zoom returned to the warehouse.
"Why did you take me?" demanded Iris
"You are bait. I am going to exchange you and your life for the speed of all the speedsters."
"You are not going to stop the Flash and his team."
"They are heroes. They will do anything to save the life of an innocent. I on the other hand don't care who dies to get what I want. So I get their speed or you die and I will keep killing everyone in this city until I get what I want."
"The Flash will stop you."
"Not after I take his speed and kill him."
Iris could feel a chill go down her spine. Whoever this monster was he scared her to the bone. She could only hope that the Flash and the others could stop this monster and rescue her.
"So Barry, what was that crash we heard?" asked Cisco
"I uh fell. But Cait made sure I was ok." Said Barry
"Yeah right you passed out at the news that Caity gave you." Said Charlie
"What news?" asked Thomas
Barry and Caitlin exchanged a look then Caitlin looked at their friends and part of their family before speaking.
"I'm pregnant." Said Caitlin
"I'm going to be a grandfather?" asked Thomas
"Yes. But if you think that you are going to use my child as a science experiment you will find yourself dumped on Lian Yu with no hope of rescue." Said Caitlin
"What is Lian Yu?"
"It is Mandarin for Purgatory. It is an island in the North China sea. It s also where they found Oliver Queen after he was shipwrecked five years ago." Said Carla
"Oliver Queen was shipwrecked on an island?" asked Thomas
"Yes. But he has been found and home with his family." Said Caitlin coldly.
Caitlin turned on her heel and walked off. Thomas was about to go after her but Carla stopped him.
"It is going to take time to earn back both of our girls trust. Trust me Barry will honor that threat Caitlin made." Said Carla
Thomas nodded. He knew that he was wrong to use that treatment on Charlie. But he hadn't expected Caitlin to be so angry about it.
