Part 42

Charlie walked into the building that housed the office of Ralph Dibney Private Investigator. It was her first stop after returning to Earth. She couldn't help but smirk when she saw the same vandalism from the old Earth on his door. With the word Eye covered with the word "Dick." She walked in without knocking.

"I'm not seeing any new clients right now. But if a babe like you wants to go out for a drink that would be great." Said Ralph

"Look Stretch never call a woman babe again or I night stab you like I have done to people I have called friends in the past." Said Charlie

She then grabbed his arm with her hand that had a memory ring on it.

"Caitlin?"

"No you pathetic loser. I am not my sappy sister."

"Frosty?"

"The one and only."

"So is Caitlin in your head?"

"God no. Change in this reborn universe. Caity and I are twin sisters."

"That is different."

"But I have the life I always wanted so it's good for me. Plus I don't have to deal with Caity's dirty thoughts about the Scarlet Speedster."

"Holy Beebo! Are you saying our uptight Dr. Snow has had dirty thoughts about Allen? Does Iris know?"

"Well I doubt that annoying reporter knows anything about Caity's thoughts. But it doesn't matter. Barry is not married or involved with Iris on this Earth. He and Caitlin are married and expecting their first kid."

"By the looks of it you are involved with someone."

"I am engaged to a great guy. His name is Ronnie Raymond and you never met him cause he was dead when you joined the team. But he was married to Caitlin for a couple hours before he died."

"And Caitlin is cool that you are with her husband from a different reality?"

"Yep. In fact she is going to be my matron of honor at my wedding. But I do want you to be there."

"That is cool. So think I can rejoin the team?"

"Depends are you silly putty?"

Ralph just smiled and turned one of his hands into the shape of a snowflake.

"Let me make a call."

After talking to Caitlin, Charlie turned and smiled at Ralph.

"Caity gave the green light for you to come back with me. You should know my parents are going to be there. Barry maybe in later with a couple other people who are in know."

"Any of them hot babes?"

"Don't make me shove an icicle where the sun don't shine."

"That's my Frosty."

Charlie let her eyes glow for a second before returning to normal. Then the two of them headed out.

Caitlin walked into Cisco's lab to find him working on something.

"Hey Cisco will you come help me get the MRI set up? Barry is going to bring Julian by so I can run some tests. Apparently he is starting to have blackouts. Barry is thinking that he could be Alchemy and that Savitar could be getting ready to strike."

"Yeah sure. You feeling ok?" asked Cisco

"As well as I can. Cisco you know that you don't have to worry about me. I mean yes I am going to have mood swings. But that is normal for pregnant woman."

"I know. That isn't what I meant. How are you feeling about seeing Julian again? You haven't seen or talked about him to my knowledge since H.R.'s funeral before you and your former roommate were still trying to figure things out."

"Cisco, when Frost and I came back to fix Barry's memory we spoke the truth when we said that we never loved Julian. After what had happened with Hunter. I closed myself off to love for a time. So unless you had already had a place in my heart no one was going to get in for a while. So the only lie I told when leaving was that I didn't love you or Barry. Cisco, you are my brother in every way but blood. Barry on the other hand it had become something else. I now wonder if I had ever acted on my feelings for him if something could have happened between us on the old Earth. I mean there had to be something on his side if we are together in this reality."

"I always thought that you had feelings for Barry. But I didn't want to bring it up. By the way where did your sister go off too?"

"You act like she hangs around here all the time. She does have her own life. She has a bar and her art. She is also going to be looking into get space to open a gallery. Barry and I are going to invest. She is going to talk to Oliver and Thea. Possibly even Kate Kane. She also spent the past few days helping Kara with something where no men can go. But right now she is with Ralph and going to bring him by."

"Speaking of Kate. Do we know if the Bat running around Gotham is her or her cousin."

"It's not Bruce Wayne. Bruce has been seen with some woman on a beach in the Virgin islands." Said Ronnie joining them.

"Hey Ronnie. In a little bit you are going to meet a friend of Charlie's. He joined the team a few years after you died on the old Earth." Said Caitlin

"Was there ever anything between them?" asked Ronnie

"Charlie and Ralph? No! Ronnie nothing was ever going to happen between them." Said Caitlin

"Yeah your ex here would have made sure of that since they shared a body back then. If Frost had gotten with Silly Putty man Caitlin would have grounded Frost for a while by wearing power dampeners." Said Cisco

"Silly Putty man?" asked Ronnie

"Ralph on the old Earth after being exposed to dark matter more or less became like elastic. He was known as the Elongated Man." Said Caitlin

"I believe you did refer to me as Silly Putty at first Snow cone." Said Ralph walking in with Charlie.

"That is true. Welcome back Ralph. This is Charlie's fiancée Ronnie Raymond. Ronnie, Ralph Dibney ex cop turned private investigator." Said Caitlin

"So you the guy that thawed Frosty's heart?" asked Ralph

"Yeah. I heard about you. If you don't keep your sexiest comments to yourself we will see if a silly putty man can melt." Said Ronnie showing flames on on hand.

Ralph just nodded.

You might not want to think them around me either. Caitlin said to Ralph in his head.

"What the hell was that? Did I just hear Caitlin in my head!" asked Ralph

"You did. My sister might be an ice queen. But I am a meta with telepathic powers. So be careful what you think around me. I am still learning to control these powers." Said Caitlin

"Right." Said Ralph

It was then that Barry walked in with Julian. Caitlin shifted into doctor mode and handed Julian a Star labs t-shirt and a pair of sweatpants to put on.
