Chapter 362 My Way 1

On the outskirts of the Ice Kingdom two very odd small armies had run into each other.
One army was lead by Zim, who was still angry about his last defeat at Peridot and her friends's hands. Zim had vowed revenge and was determined to conquer the Ice Kingdom. He had created a large army of blue and grey twelve foot robots with rectangular heads, single teal eyes, and mouths. Zim had also managed to find and salvage an old medium seize Earth navy battle ship. The battle ship had rockets on it's side allowing it to fly, a fully functional cloaking device that actually worked, cannons, and missile launchers. Zim named the ship the Victory and the remains of his clone army to control it, while he lead his marching robot along with Gir and Minimoose.
The second army was lead by the evil wizard Solovem a servant of Retinz, who had been sent to capture Gata. Solovem was a tall grey skinned humanoid with a white beard and dressed in a purple robe with a high collar and a horned head piece. He also wore a dark blue cape and carried a gold scepter topped with a gold orb. Accompanying Solovem were a few hundred of his cloaked minions and Morbidia, Gateaux, and Natasha.
Solovem and his army had arrived first at the outskirts of the Ice Kingdom, when Zim and his army had arrived, thought the Victory was cloaked. Both armies stared at one another and then both Solovem and Zim stepped forward and glared at one another.
"Who are you?" Demanded Solovem.
"I am Invader Zim! I have come to conquer this kingdom and claim it as my own. And I will destroy anyone who dares get in my way." Said Zim as he crossed his arms and had his clones deactivate the cloaking shield displaying the Victory for a few seconds before the cloak went right back up.
Solovem studied Zim and his forces for a few seconds as a plan began to form in his mind. He could see that Zim was dangerous, but very dumb and arrogant. Solovem could easily manipulate and use him and his army to aid in Gata's capture.
"I am Solovem. I am a powerful wizard, but I have no interest in conquering this land. I simply desire the capture of a girl named Gata for my master. This kingdom is ruled by one of the world's strongest wizards. If someone were to defeat this wizard and conquer his kingdom, the rest of the world would soon follow and surrender to the person, who could accomplish such a feat." Said Solovem.
Zim processed this information. He then imagined himself standing on a mountain in the Ice Kingdom laughing and holding the Irken flag as various beings bowed to him.
"Well lucky for you I am the best invader in the entire universe! This kingdom will be mine by lunch time." Said Zim with a confident grin.
"Oh I feel incredibly lucky." Said Solovem with a grin.
So with that said the two armies joined forces and marched into the Ice Kingdom heading to the palace.
Inside the palace the meeting was still going on in the dinning room. Gumbald was fixing to say his piece, but Chile coughed loudly and got everyone's attention.
"Now before my father and cousin start arguing and pointing out each other's flaws. I think there's something I need to say." Said Chile.
"Say your piece son." Said Gumbald.
Chile nodded and turned his attention to Bubblegum.
"I'm still mad at you for abandoning me and mom after my father poisoned us, but right now there's another issue of yours to address. What you did to the Fire Kingdom's Sleeping Fire Giants was horrible and it makes you look like a hypocrite."
"What do you mean?" Asked Bubblegum looking a bit stunned by her cousin's words.
"I mean you basically destroyed another kingdoms giant robots and said it wasn't ok for them to have them, yet you have tons of giant fighting robots in your own kingdom. You have the Gumball Guardians and the Safety Bots. It's ok to have your own giant fighting robots, but not any of the other kingdoms? Seems to me that you don't trust anyone and that you believe your better then everyone else. You see yourself as the ultimate good of Ooo and you make choices for other decisions for other kingdoms without even bothering telling them or discuss things out with them." Said Chicle.
"That's uncalled for Chicle." Said Lolly looking sternly at her son.
"It's the truth. Bubblegum has only made herself look worse with her own giant robots. She needs to dismantle them all as a show of good faith and to acknowledge her own hypocrisy. It's a way to help atone for what she did. That's all I have to say about that." Said Chile giving Bubblegum one last look before looking away.
Bubblegum was stunned by what Chicle had said yet at the same time she couldn't exactly argue or go against what he said. In a weird way it seemed like he was trying to help make up for what she, though dismantling the Gumball Guardians and Safety Bots would make her kingdom less protected, she still had her armies and other defense systems in place and the act of dismantling the robot would be a good act of faith and atonement to the Fire Kingdom.
Gumbald decided to take the floor then.
"Now that is out of the way, let's discuss some other matters between us. I know a little over eight hundred years ago I had some disagreements between my wife, son, and niece. It was in the very early stages of the Candy Kingdom's creation and I was very determined to turn the Candy Kingdom into a advance and marvelous utopia. During those early years of construction we each had our own ideas of what we each thought was best for the construction of the Candy Kingdom. These ideas would clash and the ones that clashed with my own were Bubblegum's ideas. Even at that young age my niece was a brilliant being. Anyhow these clashes slowed down the construction and progress of the Candy Kingdom and I was infuriated by all the delays. In my spare time I developed a special poison that would only affect Candy People and turn them into silly docile versions of themselves. My plan was to poison my wife, son, and niece, so they would stop interfering with my plans. I had full intentions of eventually turning them back to normal with a slight increase in obedience and to make them see things my way. Alas I succeeded in poisoning my wife and son, but when I tried to poison Bubblegum with a syringe filled with my poison, I was attacked by Peppermint Butler and ended up stabbing myself with the syringe and my poison was injected into my body. I became the victim of my pride and my creation. For the next several hundred years I was a prisoner in my own body and mind. During that time I had a lot of time to think. I went mad a few times then I went sane, until I was rescued and brought back my King's scientists. In the first hours of my freedom I sought out revenge on Bubblegum and sent out my creations the Milk Men to attack her and deliver a message for me. Afterwards I did a bit more serious thinking and I looked back on my life and past actions and I came to a realization. I did...horrible things to my family and as a result I fell to my own misdeeds and suffered greatly. I was the one at fault no anyone else and I'm truly sorry for all the things I did."
"Oh Gumbald." Said Lolly looking at her husband in joy.
Chicle just scowled.
"Do you expect me to just forgive you for the crime you committed." Said Bubblegum with a glare.
"That's a harsh thing to say considering all the crimes you committed niece. The crime I committed may have been nasty and admittedly cruel and underhanded, but I never killed anyone or destroyed anything. You on the other hand caused great damage to the Fire Kingdom, killed thousands of their citizens, and destroyed the Sleeping Fire Giants. Now you got yourself and the Candy Kingdom in quit a pickle. The Fire Kingdom hates you and demands justice, thankfully they agreed to a trial instead of simply declaring war on you and the Candy Kingdom. A bunch of your friends and allies are disgusted with you and have turned their backs to you, especially Finn and Phoebe. Things are just getting worse and worse for you, but luckily for you I am here and I have a solution to all your problems." Said Gumbald.
"How exactly are you going to do that?" Asked Bubblegum already suspicious.
"Simple. You step down as ruler and hand the Candy Kingdom over to me." Said Gumbald with a smirk.
"A power grab." Muttered Chile.
"I will do no SUCH THING!" Yelled Bubblegum.
"Now hear me out Bubblegum, there's a lot of pros to handing over the Candy Kingdom that will greatly benefit you. Firstly the Candy Kingdom is mine by right since, I'm it's founder and the first king of it. We really don't want to get into some hepatic legal battle in court about who the Candy Kingdom actually belongs to, not to mention it would be a really shocking scandal once the people of Ooo hear about me and my family and how, you basically abandoned all of us and took control of the Candy Kingdom." Said Gumbald.
"Are you threatening me with blackmail?!" Yelled Bubblegum.
"I don't want any part of this." Said Lolly looking at Gumbald with disgust.
"Yeah I might have issues with Bubblegum and some desires to be compensated for being abandoned, but I like you even less then her, dad and I don't want you to have the Candy Kingdom." Said Chicle glaring at his father.
"Now this doesn't have to come to blackmail, but we have to tell the public something about us. I'm willing to come up with a story saying I was on a sabbatical with my wife and son exploring the world and I left Bubblegum in charge of the Candy Kingdom. Now I have returned to take charge and help all of Ooo." Said Gumbald.
"Why should my wife even consider handing the Candy Kingdom over to you?" Asked Braco.
"Oh simple really. It will help her with the trial. You see running the Candy Kingdom in my absence has taken a deep toll on my poor dear niece and she eventually became very paranoid and a little insane, which lead up to her horrible attack on the Fire Kingdom. Bubblegum can plead insanity and get off with a lite punishment." Said Gumbald.
"I will not plead insanity or take some easy way out on my trial! What I did was wrong and I will face whatever judgement and punishment is given to me at the trial, with my head held high. I will face eternal servitude, enteral imprisonment, or a death sentence. I have to take responsibility for my actions and face the consequences." Said Bubblegum with determination in her eyes.
"She has guts." Thought Chicle with respect.
"How very nobel, but there is still a lot more I can offer to you and the rest of Ooo if you hand over the Candy Kingdom over to me. You see I'm in a high position in King's growing group. I am the head of his science division and I am quit close to him and his inner circle. If the Candy Kingdom was handed over to me my position would rise up and you wouldn't have to worry about the Candy Kingdom being invaded. I would also use my new position to convince King and his forces not to launch any invasions on any kingdoms or villages, instead I would focus on unifying all the different people of Ooo and establishing peace. As you can see my way is the best way for all of us, plane and simple. If you refuse, well you can figure out what will most likely happen." Said Gumbald with a confident grin.
Bubblegum felt her body become cold at the thought of her kingdom being invaded all with the other kingdoms and villages of Ooo, by King and his forces and with Gumbald's aid they would succeed. If she handed over the Candy Kingdom to Gumbald there would be no bloodshed, but he would use his new position to take control over all the other kingdoms and villages and Bubblegum knew her uncle was a cruel man. Both choices resulted in Gumbald ruling Ooo and shaping it into, his own twisted vision. This could not be allowed to happen! Bubblegum had to put a end to her uncle here and now. She reached into her pocket for the bubble creator ready to do what was necessary for all of Ooo.
