Chapter 365 My Way 4

As the armies fired lasers, missiles, and various magical attacks at the palace, Simon, Betty, and Patience acted at once and used their ice powers to raise a massive towering that blocked most of the attacks. A few attacks managed to get over the wall and hit the palace and shake it a little, but did no serious harm. The wall was protecting the palace, but it wouldn't hold forever. A bunch of cracks were already beginning to form on it. Solovem glared at the wall with mild annoyance as he raised his scepter and fired a power blast at the wall striking it and causing it to shatter to bits!
"Go forth and get the girl!" Ordered Solovem to his forces.
Morbidia, Natasha, Gateaux, and the cloaked minions charged forward followed by Zim's robots. The invading armies began to do battle with Weiss, the snow golems, Rocky, Breaker, the Candy Kingdom guards, and KARR who had transformed into his fighting robot form to do battle. Simon and the others quickly took stock of the battle and quickly came up with a strategy.
"Betty I need you to watch after Eria and all the guest, who are incapable of fighting. Get everyone to a safe room and bunker down." Said Simon.
Betty nodded and picked Eria up. She beckoned Bubblegum and her family to follow her. Bubblegum picked up Neddy and handed him to Braco.
"I'm going to be help. The bubble creator is out there about to be in the hands of a lunatic. It's my creation and I have to take responsibility for it." Said Bubblegum.
"You going to use your Elemental Powers?" Asked Slime Princess.
"Yes. I will use those and my Battle Ready Armor." Said Bubblegum activating her BRA.
In a matter of seconds dark pink high-tech samurai armor armor was covering Bubblegum's body and her dress had been pulled and folded up to allow her to move freely with the armor.
"Impressive, though I'm not at all surprised at this point. You had a portable black hole maker you intended to kill me with, so I figured you had some other kind of weapon on your person." Said Gumbald.
"So are you going to participate in this fight?" Asked Bubblegum.
"Oh I will, I just need to grab something from my car outside and I will be ready." Said Gumbald casually.
"Alright I will deal with Solovem. I believe he is the strongest enemy out there and if I take him out the rest of his forces will surrender or retreat. I leave the defense of the palace to all of you." Said Simon looking at Finn and the others.
"You can count on us." Said Finn.
Simon nodded his head in thanks and flew outside the window to face the enemy. Solovem saw Simon and he flew up to confront him. The two powerful wizards glared intensely at one another. Simon's hands crackled with magical power and Solovem's staff glowed brightly. For several seconds they just floated there staring intensely at one another, then Solovem struck first! He fired a couple of magical blast at Simon, who countered with a great and mighty blast of freezing wind that knocked the attacks to the ground below. Simon then fired a blast of magical lightning at Solovem, who dodged out of the way. The attack struck the Victory rocking it back a bit and caused it to spark. Solovem glared at Simon and flew up higher into the air and Simon flew after him to continue the battle.
Finn and the others watched Simon chase after Solovem into the sky from the palace windows and then he along with Jake, Bubblegum, Patience, and Slime Princess jumped out of the window to do battle with the ground forces outside. Betty along with Gata lead Braco and the others out of the dinning room and went about alerting the other residents about the attack outside and had them all gather in Simon's workshop deep within the palace.
Gumbald, along with Bebe and Blargetha calmly headed to the front door of the palace and walked outside. Bebe took the lead with Gumbald and Blargetha following her as they headed towards KARR and the fighting.
Back in the palace Betty was making sure everyone was accounted for and comfortable, before making sure the doors were firmly closed and secured. As she was doing this Peridot was hanging with Lapis and Mimi thinking about the current situation. After some thinking Peridot came to a conclusion. She pulled out a circular round metal shield and headed to the door followed by Lapis and Mimi.
"I'm going to help deal with that clod, Zim outside." Said Peridot to Betty.
"We're going to." Said Lapis.
"Want to help." Said Mimi.
"Alright. Just be careful out there." Said Betty as she allowed the three of them to pass.
The three girls located a window and they each used their respective powers and flew outside to join in on the battle.
Up in Dipper and Mabel's room, Morbidia, Natasha, Gateaux, and a dozen cloaked minions were breaking in through the window. The little group had snuck around during the fighting and had broken into the palace to get at Gata. Morbidia was fixing to command the others to start wrecking the palace, until they found Gata, when she took notice of Dipper's blackboard and notes about Horror's Hand and it's location. Realizing she found something, Morbidia took out her phone and took several pictures of the notes. The pictures would serve as insurance incase something went wrong on the mission, so Witch Way wouldn't return to Retinz emptied handed. Satisfied with her pictures, Morbidia gave the command to the others to start wrecking the place. The group went about doing that as they began to search the palace for Gata.
Back outside, Minimoose had finally reached Zim and presented the bubble creator to him.
"What's this thing?" Asked Zim taking the bubble creator and examined it.
"Squeak!" Said Minimoose.
"Ultimate weapon?" Said Zim as a scanning device popped out of his pak and scanned the bubble creator.
"This device seems to be capable of creating black holes of various sizes and strengths. It can also control how long they last." Said Zim's computer.
"A portable black hole device! This exactly the kind of weapon I need to destroy that wretched Peridot and all those who would dare stand against me. Man I can't believe I never thought of building a weapon like this." Said Zim.
"I can believe that." Muttered computer.
"Now let's take this bad boy for a spin!" Said Zim as he studied the bubble creator to see how it worked.
"Sir I really advise not using a device like this without proper understanding or study of it's capabilities. If this machine is handled incorrectly, you could create a black hole that could destroy us all, along with this entire planet and solar system." Warned computer.
Zim of course ignored his computer and continued messing with the bubble creator.
As Zim messed with the bubble creator, Finn, Jake, and Bubblegum fought their way through the invading robots and cloaked minions. Finn was channeling his Olympian Power as he hacked and smashed enemies. The robots fell to the ground in pieces, while the cloaked minions shrieked and burst into clouds of black smoke, when they were struck. Jake enlarged his hands and arms as he smashed his way through the invaders. Bubblegum blasted enemies with her gauntlets and fired streams of high pressured soda and a few hard jawbreakers at them a few times. She looked ahead and felt herself grow cold as she saw the being known as Zim messing with the bubble creator. It would only be a matter of time before before Zim created a black hole and doomed everyone. Bubblegum increased her effort to reach Zim.
Up above in the sky, Peridot, Mimi, and Lapis had flown towards the Victory and had began to attack it. Peridot flew up right to the command center and began to insult all the Zim clones inside it, getting their attention and causing a distraction. While that was happening Lapis was using her water powers to melt a bunch of snow into water and then she moved the water over all the visible cannons on the Victory. Together with Mimi, Lapis froze all the water on and inside the cannons clogging them all. In the control center one of the clones had finally reached it's limits with Peridot's insults and decided he was just going to blast her and the ground below with the ship's cannons. Peridot flew in front of the ship getting all the clones to focus on her. The Zim clone pressed the firing button on the controls, expecting to blow Peridot and a bunch of the fighting forces down below to bits. Instead all the cannons exploded and the Victory rocked in the air as smoke bellowed from it.
"WHY?!" Yelled the Zim clone as he yanked on his antenna.
"Because you're a bunch of clods!" Called Peridot with a smirk on her face as Mimi and Lapis hovered next to her.
Higher up Simon and Solovem were duking it out and firing magical blast at each other. All around the two wizards the air was getting colder and a storm was brewing. Solovem realized that the growing cold and the storm were Simon's doing and that the battle was not going in his favor. He pointed his staff down towards the ground and fired a few spells down towards a couple of trees. The spells struck the trees and they pulled themselves out of the ground on a bunch of tentacle roots and sprouted big fanged mouths and wings made out of branches and leaves. The trees roared and flew up in the air at Simon.
"Taste a little tree!" Shouted Solovem.
Simon spun to face the new threat and took the tree monsters down with a few well aimed icicles that pierced the monsters and sent them crashing to the ground. Solovem took this opportunity to strike Simon in the back with a magic blast that knocked him through the air. He tried to follow through by flying through the air and striking Simon, with his staff, but Simon recovered and caught the staff with his hands and glared at the evil wizard.
"I'm going to put an end to this right now!" Declared Simon as a burst of magical energy slammed into Solovem and threw him through the air.
Solovem righted himself and quickly cast a shield spell around himself as the storm intensified.
In the palace Morbidia and her group had made their way to the living room, when they found themselves facing Betty armed with Iciclia's staff, with Shane, Rain, Gata, Wendy, and Pacifica by her side.
"Leave my home this instant." Said Betty glaring at the home invaders.
"Gives us Gata and we shall do just that." Said Morbidia.
"No deal." Said Betty as she fired her staff at the villains forcing them to scatter.
Shane charged at the cloaked minions, who fired spells at him, but they did little harm to the crystal golem as he went about swatting the villains and knocked them to the ground with ease. Wendy charged at a few cloaked minions and struck them with her ax causing them to explode into clouds of black smoke. Pacifica fired a few arrows and summoned Taurus who complimented her body, before he joined Shane in clobbering the cloaked minions. Gateaux tried to fling some dark magic around, but was quickly knocked to the ground by a blast of water by Rain. BMO was chasing Natasha the spider around, while Gata watched as Betty and Morbidia fired magical blast at each other and dodging about.
"Time for these creeps to leave." Thought Gata as looked at the center of the room and began to concentrate with her magic.
A small portal appeared and showed the snowy land outside the palace. The others saw the portal and knew what to do. They began to throw and chase the villains into the portal. Shane and Taurus tossed a bunch of the cloaked minions through the portal sending them crashing into the snow. BMO chased Natasha and she leaped into the portal and Rain blasted Gateaux through the portal with a blast of water. Soon the only enemy left standing was Morbidia, who was getting driven to the portal by Betty. Morbidia eyes widen as she was only a foot away from the portal.
"No! I refuse to lose again!" Yelled Morbidia as she unleashed a pulse of magic and managed to hit Betty and knock her to the ground.
Morbidia smirked a little and was fixing to start firing more magical blast, when Gata charged at her and punched her in the face, sending her reeling back and through the portal. The evil witch crashed into the snow next to her comrades and the portal closed up before anyone could do anything. Gata let out a sigh of relief and wiped some sweat off her brow.
"Nicely done everyone." Said Betty as she got to her feet.
Betty along with the others began to clean up the mess Morbidia and her group made as they kept their guard up for more intruders.
Back outside, Zim was still messing with the settings on the bubble creator, when he got a destress call from the crew of the Victory telling him about Peridot and her allies's attack. Zim glared up the three tiny figures that were Peridot and her friends.
"Fire the pulser at them!" Ordered Zim to the crew.
A strange tower like device appeared on the deck of the Victory. It glowed purple and unleashed a wave of energy that struck Peridot, Lapis, and Mimi sending them crashing to the snowy ground below. The crew of the Victory cheered as they went about locking a missile on the down heroes and prepared to fire.
On the ground Zim smiled as he finished with the settings on the bubble creator. Zim heard a commotion and saw Bubblegum heading his way. The alien smiled at Bubblegum and blew a bubble. A tiny dark cube came out of the device and rose into the air gradually growing. Soon it was as big as a house and floating over the Ice Kingdom palace and the Victory and it still continued to grow.
"What have you DONE?!" Yelled Bubblegum in both fear and shock.
"VICTORY FOR ZIM!" Laughed Zim with glee as he ignored Bubblegum.
Everyone stopped fighting for a few moments to gawk at the growing black hole. Then the fighting started back up again.
"Looks like I'm going to have to save the world from my niece's foolish invention." Mumbled Gumbald as he, Blargetha, and Bebe got closer to KARR.
A bunch of robots and cloaked minions got in their way and Bebe stepped forward to deal with them. Bebe had a mischievous smile on her face as her eyes turned red and her hands glowed with pink energy. She fired beams of pink energy at the enemies that struck them and made them explode into clouds of pink smoke. When the smoke cleared there were a bunch of tiny cupcakes and pieces of candy where the robots and cloaked minions once stood. Jake, Patience, and Slime Princess saw this and stared at the scene in shock.
"She turned all those guys into candy and cupcakes!" Exclaimed Jake.
Bebe wave her hand up into the air and all the cupcakes and candy lifted up into the air. She then opened her mouth wide and all the little treats flew into it. Bebe's cheeks puffed up as they filled with cupcakes and candy and then she closed her mouth and swallowed.
"She ate them!" Yelled Patience.
Bebe licked her lips and patted her belly.
"Not bad. They weren't really full of energy since none of them were true living beings, but I got a little boost from them. Guess I'll just digest them and use the energy I got from them." Said Bebe as she raised her fist up as a dozen robots charged at her.
Bebe leaped at the robots and delivered several punches and kicks that shattered them all to bits in a matter of seconds.
"Whoa! She's strong!" Exclaimed Slime Princess.
"Yes my daughter is really something to behold. Bebe has a bit of the Candy Elemental in her, though I tweaked that little gene a bit. She can turn others into candy and she can devour them. Bebe can either simply digest whoever she eats and gain a power boost or she can hold them as prisoners or passengers and draw power from them like batteries and then she can cough them back up whenever she feels like it. My Bebe is truly a powerful and frightening being." Explained Gumbald with a grin.
"That's terrifying." Said Jake.
Gumbald reached KARR and raised a hand towards him. KARR turned to Gumbald and top of his head opened up and a purple softball size purple metallic sphere shot out. Gumbald caught the sphere and held it to his chest. The sphere turned seemed to melt into a metal liquid and wrapped itself around Gumbald's body. In a matter of seconds the liquid metal hardened and reshaped itself into a full suit of high-tech battle armor complete with a helmet and dark purple face visor.
"I am Iron Gum!" Boomed Gumbald's voice from the armor.
A ton of robots and cloaked minions charged at Gumbald, who pointed his palms at the on rushing mob and fired a massive laser blast at them that instantly obliterated them. Gumbald then flew into a mob of robots and began to destroy them all. Zim watched with a shocked look on his face as he saw several robots he knew get destroyed.
"Spencer. Devon. Maria." Said Zim.
A robot head flew through the air and landed at Zim's feet.
"Lawrence! Noooooo!" Cried Zim.
As Gumbald continued utterly destroying Zim's forces he had his armor's computer play some music.

And now, the end is near
And so I face the final curtain
My friend, I'll say it clear
I'll state my case, of which I'm certain
I've lived a life that's full
I traveled each and every highway

Zim regained his composure and turned to Gir.
"Gir go avenge your robot brethren and Maria." Ordered Zim.
Gir's eyes turned red as he pulled out a tiny horse and a sword from his chest. He leaped onto the horse and charged forward with the sword, only to get knocked over by a gust of wind. Zim just faced palmed himself.
Regrets, I've had a few
But then again, too few to mention
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption
I planned each charted course
Each careful step along the byway
And more, much more than this
I did it my way
Gumbald destroyed the last of the robots and reached Zim. He flicked Zim on the forehead knocking him to his rear as he took the bubble creator from him. Gumbald scanned the bubble creator and began to fiddle with it as he flew up towards the black hole.
Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all, when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out
I faced it all, and I stood tall
And did it my way
Gumbald finished fiddling with the bubble creator and blew a bubble from it. The new got sucked into the black hole and at first nothing happened, then the black hole began rapidly shrinking, until it completely vanished.
"My uncle created a second black hole that cancelled out the first black hole!" Exclaimed Bubblegum with shock and awe.
Zim, who wasn't liking where any of this was going, still saw a chance to destroy Peridot and maybe conquer the Ice Kingdom. He ordered the Victory to fire a missile at Peridot and her friends. A missile soared from the Victory towards the three women. Gumbald saw the missile coming and flew to intercept it. He caught the missile a few feet above Peridot's group. Gumbald's visor opened up and gave the girls a smile and a wink before the visor closed back up and he flew up with the missile. He directed the missile back at the Victory and sent it flying at the ship. The missile struck the Victory and it rocked though the air and sparked.
I've loved, I've laughed and cried
I've had my fill, my share of losing
And now, as tears subside
I find it all so amusing
To think I did all that
And may I say, not in a shy way
Oh, no, oh, no, not me
I did it my way
The Victory started going down, but the Zim clones were determined to try and take their enemies with them. One clone went to the controls and pressed a series of buttons that would make the Victory grow in size and self destruct. The plan was to turn the ship into a huge bomb and take everyone out, but unfortunately that's not what happened. The clone pressed a wrong button and instead of growing the ship rapidly shrank instead. The Victory had been crashing down towards Peridot and her friends shrank to a few millimeters and exploded into a tiny cloud of smoke in front of Peridot's face. All the Zim clones were gone.
"My Victory!" Screamed Zim in dismay, though it was hard to tell if he was screaming about his ship or the battle.
For what is a man, what has he got?
If not himself, then he has naught
To say the things he truly feels
And not the words of one who kneels
The record shows I took the blows
And did it my way
Gumbald landed on the ground near Zim, Gir, and Minimoose and crushed the bubble creator in his hands.
"I think it's time for you to leave." Said Gumbald.
"Yes...I will do just that. Not because I'm afraid of you or anyone here, but because I have other matters to attend to." Said Zim as he abruptly turned around and quickly ran away with Gir and Minimoose right behind him.
A few minutes later Solovem came crashing to the ground looking battered, bruised, and fearful as his magic shield flickered and vanished. Simon floated down from above and looked down at Solovem.
"Such terrifying power! You really are strong!" Gasped Solovem with panicked eyes.
"This is the power I use, when someone threatens my family and friends. Now do you wish to keep going or are you going to give up and hand yourself to the authorities?" Said Simon.
"I choose option three!" Yelled Solovem as he unleashed a blinding light from his staff that blinded everyone.
When the light cleared Solovem was gone along with the remains of his invasion force.
"Well the battle is over for now." Said Simon.
Finn and everyone went to Simon and filled him in on the rest of the battle. As they talked Betty and all the others came out of the palace and joined them. Finn noticed that Dipper had a grim look on his face.
"What's wrong?" Asked Finn.
"After some intruders were kicked out of the castle, I went to my room to go get the mask piece to get ready to cast a tracking spell on it, but I couldn't find the mask piece anywhere." Said Dipper.
"Could the intruders have taken it or destroy it?" Asked Jake.
"It's possible." Said Finn.
"I believe Rain is behind the disappearance of the mask piece you're talking about." Said Gideon stepping forward.
"What?!" Asked Rain looking angry.
"Yeah, what makes you say that?" Said Mabel.
"I saw Rain with a strange red ring earlier and he was using it to talk to some strange guy named Crimson." Said Gideon.
"That's absurd!" Yelled Mabel.
"It's the truth. Check Rain's pocket and you'll find the ring." Said Gideon.
"I have nothing to hide." Said Rain.
Dipper went over to Rain and began to search his pockets. He pulled his hand out of one pocket and held a red ring. Rain's let out a gasp of shock and everyone stared at him with surprise and anger.
"Explain this!" Yelled Mabel looking both hurt and angry.
"Alright. Before I met you, your family, and friends, I was approached by Crimson, who promised he could bring my dead mother back to life in exchange for getting close and spying on all of you." Said Rain looking sad.
"So you've been spying on us all this time and only pretending to be our friend." Accused Dipper.
"At first I was spying on you and reporting to Crimson, but as time went by I got close to Mabel and everyone else and I just couldn't do it anymore. My friendship with you all was real and I couldn't stand the idea of causing any of you harm or putting you all in danger. I wanted my mom back, but I don't think she would be proud about what I did to bring her back. A few months ago I cut off all connections with Crimson and chucked that ring into a lake. I haven't talked to Crimson since and I have no idea how that ring got in my pocket, you have to believe me." Said Rain looking at Mabel and the others.
"He's lying." Said Gideon.
"No his telling the truth." Said Betty.
"How can you tell?" Asked Wendy.
"I've listened and talked to many people about feelings and I can tell, when someone is lying. Rain is telling the truth." Said Betty.
"That still doesn't explain how he has the ring." Said Ford.
"Can we cast a tracking spell on that ring to find Crimson?" Asked Finn.
"We can." Said Dipper preparing to cast a tracking spell on the ring.
Crimson quietly mumbled a spell and the ring turned to dust and got blown away by a gust of wind. Everyone stared in shock at Dipper's empty hand. Finn raised his arms in the air and let out a frustrated yell before turning on Bubblegum.
"This is all your fault Bubblegum! Your stupid invention destroyed the first tracking spell, fell into the hands of a psycho idiot, and nearly destroyed the world! You create secret weapons and keep secrets from all the people who are your friends and allies! You can't be trusted at all! I'm done with and the Candy Kingdom! What every problems you face, don't expect me to come to your aid. I don't help killers and traitors!" Declared Finn before he turned around and stormed off followed by Gata, Jake, and BMO.
Bubblegum's shoulders sagged and she stared at the ground sadly. Crimson just smirked a little.
Rain looked at Mabel, who looked at him with hurt eyes, before she turned around and headed back to the palace.
Gumbald removed his armor and looked at Bubblegum.
"Well Bubblegum this has proven to be an interesting meeting. You nearly destroyed the world and I got to save it. I count this as a win in my book. It's been fun, but I guess I have to return to Castle Lemongrab. Now remember that my offer still stands. You just have to simply hand the Candy Kingdom over to me and all your troubles will disappear. You'll see things my way soon enough." Said Gumbald before he Blargetha and Bebe got into KARR, who was in his car form and drove off.
Braco went over to Bubblegum and put a comforting hand on her shoulder. The two shared a small smile, before thanking Simon and Betty and then they gathered their group together and headed back to the Candy Kingdom.
The meeting had been a disaster that would create many shockwaves that would rock both Ooo and the future.
