Chapter 375 Beach Bonding 4

Under the sea everyone was silent after the whole emotional episode with Chi and Mimi. Mimi just looked at the ground sadly and then she used her heat vision to destroy the message she had written to Chi explaining why she couldn't go with her. Mimi had good and logical reasons, why she couldn't simply just go with Chi, but that didn't mean she didn't like it. Jeff went over to Mimi and placed a hand on her shoulder. Mimi looked up at Jeff.
"Hey it's going to be ok. You did the right thing Mimi. You're just trying to protect Chi and keep her from harm. Just give Chi a little time to figure things out. The two of you can still be good friends and hang out. Your a good person a good friend Mimi, don't ever doubt that." Said Jeff.
This lifted Mimi's spirits and brought a small smile to her face. After that was said Finn and Phoebe decided they wanted to head back to dry land. Lapis needed to go with Finn and Phoebe since she could control and move the air bubble. Peridot volunteered to stay behind with the others to help keep an eye on the children, even though she really wasn't a fan of getting wet. The green gem stepped out of the air bubble and joined the others. Peridot didn't need oxygen, so she was fine underwater. After making sure everyone knew, which direction land was, Finn, Lapis, and Phoebe said a quick goodbye to the others and headed in the direction of Ooo.
"I don't know about any of you guys, but I'm going to go check out the coral reefs." Said Gata.
"Cool. I think I'll join you." Said Trucy.
The two teens swam off in one direction leaving the others behind. Mimi and the others decided to go exploring, so they headed in a different direction then Gata and Trucy.
Back on the beach, Samantha was hanging with Nyx and Ying at a drink bar at the resort. Samantha was drinking a tropical drink with alcohol, while Nyx drank a plane tropical drink with no alcohol. Nyx looked over at Samantha and asked if she could get a drink with alcohol.
"No you can't have any alcohol, you're too young and I don't want you doing any magic under the influence." Said Samantha.
"Fine." Muttered Nyx.
As Samantha went back to her drink, William took a seat next to her.
"Well look who decided to join us." Said Samantha with a smirk.
"I have processed what you said to me earlier, about love and affection. My creator Xana programed with the ability to study emotions for combat purposes. After several defeats in battle Xana rejected and abandoned me. I eventually found myself fighting alongside the heroes I had previously fought and I became a member of the Peace Protectors. As time passed I became more independent and I grew to understand emotions better. I began to understand courage, kindness, compassion, and all kinds of emotions from my allies. Then I encountered you for the first time in Gravity Falls and I experienced the spark of the emotion called love. I later learned you were a member of the Organization and I sought to capture you, but now I feel conflicted. You helped protect and save the people of Gravity Falls and I latter learned that you helped defend an innocent person in Wizard City. Despite your affiliation with the Organization, you have done some good deeds and helped the innocent. I have weighed your deeds and actions and have concluded that you are not my enemy." Said William.
"Finally. Took you long enough. So now that we have that out of the way, where does that leave us exactly?" Said Samantha.
"Well since I have concluded that we are not enemies, I wish to pursue and experience a romantic relationship with you, if that's ok with you?" Said William.
"Fine by me. Let's see where this goes." Said Samantha with a grin.
The two of them just sat and talked about their lives, origins, adventures, friends, and comrades. It was nice and the android and cyborg were enjoying each other's company, as Ying and Nyx just quietly watched them and drank fruity drinks. Nyx was happy to see her stepsister talking to William and having a good time.
Back under the sea, Rain had just found a pearl to give to Mabel and was fixing to go find her and the others, when he ran into Canyon, who had a concerned look on her face.
"What's wrong?" Asked Rain.
"I believe that a dangerous monster is loose in the area and it's attacking and eating people." Said Canyon.
"What kind of monster is it?" Asked Rain looking worried.
"I believe the creature to be a Frogfish and it is using the promise of ice cream to lure people to their doom." Said Canyon.
Rain gulped at this news. He had never encountered that particular sea monster, but he knew about them from other sea creatures and books about monsters. Frogfish weren't the biggest monsters in the sea, but they were dangerous and crafty. Like sea sirens and anglerfish, Frogfish were notoriously known for luring creatures to them and devouring them quickly. The thought of a beast like that sent a chill down Rain's spine and made him worry bout Mabel and the others.
"I need to find my friends!" Said Rain as he began to quickly swim away.
"Alright. I'm going to try and locate the monster and stop it from causing more harm. Find your friends and head to shore immediately." Said Canyon.
Rain just gave a quick nod and continued to swim on determined to find his friends and save them from harm.
In another part of the ocean, Gata and Trucy had come across a large coral reef and it happened to be the one the Coralites called home. The little creatures swam out and greeted the two teens. Gata and Trucy enjoyed the Coralites's friendly company as they explored the reef. There were a few tourists wearing scuba gear also exploring the reef as well as the mermaid/cup person hybrid Sea Tea. Gata was swimming around and exploring the reef, when she saw a pretty conch shell and reached for it. As Gata touched the shell another hand touched it at the same time. Gata looked up to see who the other hand belonged to and was startled to be looking at the face of a teenage boy that appeared to be the same species as herself. The boy had teal colored skin, tentacle hair that ended in spades, wore blue swim trunks and a white and had a satchel on his back. Gata and the boy stared at one another for a few seconds, before Gata managed to find her voice.
"Hi. I'm Gata."
"I'm Locke. It's nice to meet you." Said the boy.
"Well it's nice to meet you too Locke." Said Gata with a smile as she removed her hand from the shell.
"Oh you can have the shell." Said Locke as he picked the shell up and offered it to Gata.
"Why thank you very much." Said Gata as she took the shell.
Before any more words could be exchanged between the two teens there was a loud thunderous crash followed by a bunch of screams from the Coralites. Gata and Locke turned to be met with an odd sight. A gigantic white and black crab robot with blue lights towered over the coral reef and then it began to attack the reef knocking large chunks of it off and sending the Coralites into a panic. On top of the robot were what appeared to be two separate cockpits on either side of the robots. On the right side was General Sheep and on the left side was General Pig. Standing between the two pilots with his arms crossed his chest was Treasure Knight. Gata scowled at the three hated greedy villains. Out of all the minions that served King, these three, were the ones Gata hated the most. General Sheep, General Pig, and Treasure Knight were insanely greedy and would do just about anything to make a quick buck and apparently that included destroying a coral reef.
"That's enough smashing. Activate the tractor beam." Ordered Treasure Knight.
"Activating tractor beam." Said General Sheep as he pushed a button.
A white beam of light shot out of the bottom of the robot and began to suck up chunks of coral along with some Coralites. The coral and the Coralites went into the machine and then reappeared on the sides of the robot in plastic containers.
"We got ourselves a fine haul!" Laughed General Pig.
That was the last straw! Gata could no longer just simply just sit by and watch this go on. She swam in the direction of the robot and shouted as loudly as she could, with Locke and Trucy swimming behind her.
"HEY YOU JERKS REMEMBER ME?!"
The tractor beam stopped and the three villains look at Gata and recognized her.
"Well this a surprise. Looks like we're about to get a big nice bonus lads." Said Treasure Knight.
"What do you mean?" Asked Gata.
"Oh there's a couple of big bounties on your head." Said General Pig.
"Aye that's right. A couple of shady people have it out for you lass. One wants you dead the other wants you brought in alive." Said General Sheep.
"And how do you know this?" Demanded Gata.
"Trade secret." Said General Pig with a smirk.
"What are you doing with the coral and the Coralites?" Demanded Locke.
"Oh we plan to sell the coral and the critters to the wizard black market and make a pretty fortune." Said General Sheep.
"You monsters!" Yelled Trucy.
"Now then on to another matter. Gentlemen I think we have ourselves a true golden opportunity." Said Treasure Knight.
"What do you mean by that?" Asked General Pig.
"We capture the girl and start a little bidding war between the ones who want her dead and the ones who want her alive. I can already see the piles of treasure will make from this deal." Said Treasure Knight.
"I like the sound of that." Said General Sheep.
"Me too." Said General Pig.
"Alright Robo-Crab we have a new target." Said General Sheep to the robot as he and General Pig moved some joysticks and the robot stomped forward.
As the robot got closer and prepared to try and make a grab at Gata, with it's claws, when Sea Tea came charging in from above and began raining down a small storm of energy blasts from her fingers. The shots pelted the top of Robo-Crab and a few of them managed to hit General Pig and General Sheep causing them to shout in pain and surprise as they yanked on their controls making Robo-Crab stagger away from Gata and her friends. General Pig and General Sheep quickly recovered and retaliated against Sea Tea by having Robo-Crab snap it's claws up at her. Sea Tea saw the claws coming and swam out of the way and avoided them. Robo-Crab continued to snap it's claws and focus on Sea Tea, as Treasure Knight hopped off and went after Gata and her friends.
"You deal with the little fish. The big catch is mine." Said Treasure Knight to his comrades as he marched forward.
Gata prepared to fight the oncoming knight, but Locke stepped in front of her and pulled out a large diving knife.
"You and your friend deal with the crustacean. I'll deal with big and ugly." Said Locke.
Before Gata could think about protesting about this, Locke took a big breath and unleashed a cloud of ink from both his mouth and his tentacles that blanketed Treasure Knight and the area around him. Without a word, Locke let out a yell and jumped into the ink cloud to do battle with Treasure Knight. Gata thought about jumping into the ink cloud and joining in on the fight, but Trucy put a hand on her shoulder and shook her head. Gata let out a reluctant sigh, as much as she would like to help Locke fight Treasure Knight, she knew she had to go deal with the much bigger issue of Robo-Crab.
"Let's do this." Said Gata as the two of them swam to the robot.
Robo-Crab continued to snap at Sea Tea, so it didn't see Gata and Trucy reach it's legs. Gata studied the robot and wondered what the best course of action would be to deal with it. She could create portals for the the legs to step in and use them to slice them off, but that required a lot of energy and the robot would notice if some of it's legs got cut off and attack Gata and Trucy. Gata frowned and tried to come up with another plan that would work better. She wished she had BMO or some tools to help deal with this situation. Gata cast a glance at the ink cloud Locke and was struck by a crazy bit of inspiration. She did have tools in the form of her body and the magic inside it. Gata took a deep breath and unleashed a bit of ink from her own mouth and tentacles. The ink floated in the water for a few seconds and then Gata began to use her magic to focus on the ink and it's chemical compounds. The ink began to spin around and become solid as it began to take on some new shapes. Gata had seen Simon do this with his ice, so she had taken inspiration from him and she had taken a little inspiration from Ling and Greed for what she was making. In a matter of seconds the ink had taken on the form of two gauntlets with sharp claws and a couple of swords. Gata placed the gauntlets on her hands and moved her fingers around. They were a perfect fit. Gata smiled with satisfaction as she took one of the swords and handed the other to Trucy.
"This is so cool!" Said Trucy as she took the sword and admired it.
"Now let's go rip us some crab legs!" Said Gata as she gripped the other sword.
Trucy nodded and the two of them sprang forward and each began to attack a separate leg.
Over at the ink cloud Locke was swimming around and launching little attacks with his diving knife at Treasure Knight, who blindly waved his arm around and fired his anchor cannon at the teen. Locke was able to avoid these attacks thanks to his speed, but so far he was making very little progress with the fight. His knife blows were landing, but Treasure Knight's armor was too thick to penetrate and do serious damage to. Locke decided to try and go for air tank strapped on Treasure Knight's back, but when he tried slicing at it Treasure Knight suddenly whirled around, grabbed him and slammed the teen into the ground.
"Nice try pal, but I knew you would try to go for my air tank. Now you're all mine!" Said Treasure Knight as the cloud of ink began to fade away.
Locke glared up at Treasure Knight and spat a large glob of ink right into his face! Treasure Knight yelled in surprise and stumbled away from Locke wiping the front of his helmet. Locke got to his feet as Treasure Knight recovered and fired his chain and anchor at him. Locke dodged out of the way and the anchor flew by him and became imbedded in a large rock. Treasure Knight tried to pull his anchor back, but it was stuck. Locke took this opportunity to charge at Treasure Knight with all his might and slammed both his fist into the knight's head. There was a loud clanging noise and Treasure Knight crashed to the ground stunned. Locke stood over the defeated knight with his hands bruised and throbbing. He considered attacking Treasure Knight's air tank and killing the greedy villain, but decided not to. Instead he decided to help himself to some round devices hanging on Treasure Knight's belt that appeared to be grenades and went to go help Gata and Tracy fight Robo-Crab.
Gata smashed into the armor of one leg with her gauntlets and tore a opening into it. She then stuck her sword into the opening and started slashing at the wires and joints inside. Trucy used her sword to pry a opening into another leg and slash at it's wires. The resulting damage caused a chain of explosions that destroyed the legs and caused damage to Robo-Crab making it stumble around crazily. General Pig and General Sheep managed to regain control of the robot and they turned their attention to Gata and Trucy. Robo-Crab lunged at the two two girls with one claw, but Locke appeared in front of the girls and tossed a grenade at the claw. The grenade went into the claw and exploded sending the robot rocking back.
"You two alright?" Asked Locke looking at the girls.
"We are now. Thanks for the assist." Said Gata with a smile.
Locke returned the smile.
"You little wretch! I'm not done with you!" Bellowed Treasure Knight as he suddenly appeared and came rushing towards the trio.
Locke prepared to fight Treasure Knight again, but Gata stepped forward and used her magic to create a portal that Treasure Knight ran through. The portal vanished and another portal appeared over Robo-Crab and Treasure Knight came falling out and landed right on top of General Sheep stunning both of them.
"You are just full of surprises." Said Locke looking at Gata and smiling.
"Thanks." Said Gata as she returned the smile.
Gata decided it was time to get up close and personal with the villains. She swam up to the robot to see if she could find a power switch or a self destruct button. Gata landed on the robot and General Pig jumped up from his controls and charged at Gata swinging his sword at her. The teen blocked General Pig's blade with her own and delivered a powerful punch to the villains's gut with her gauntleted hand knocking him onto his back and stunning him. Gata then went over to the controls and studied them, until she saw what appeared to be a detachable metal cube with a big red button on it.
"Bingo!" Said Gata as she grabbed the cube and swam away from the robot.
As Gata did this Locke and Trucy went about breaking the containers on Robo-Crab and freed the Coralites, before they all swam away from the robot.
The three villains recovered and saw Gata several yards away with the metal cube with the red button.
"Is...that the...?" Began General Sheep with fear in his voice.
"THE SELF DESTRUCT BUTTON!" Yelled General Pig in fear.
"I'm completely besides myself." Grumbled Treasure Knight.
Gata smirked and waved at the villains, before she pressed the self destruct button.
KABOOM!
Robo-Crab exploded in a great explosion and General Pig, General Sheep, and Treasure Knight were sent flying up through the ocean, up to the surface, and high up into the sky! The three villains flew off into the distance and vanished off into the distance.
The Coralites, Locke, and Trucy looked at Gata and cheered. Gata grinned and gave a thumbs up.
A few miles away a predator was hiding and waiting for it's next meal. The predator had a special sensitive lure out to attract prey and it had sensed the explosion of Robo-Crab through a vibration from the ocean currents. After a few minutes of processing and debating the predator concluded that whatever caused the explosion, posed no threat to it or it's hunt. A few minutes later the predator detected the scent and sound of approaching prey and according to it's special lure there was a bunch of prey coming and most of them were very young. The perfect prey that would be attracted to the predator's soon. The predator waited eagerly in anticipation for it's soon to be meal.
