A/N: Hey guys! Back again with another update! This takes place after Chapter 16!
"Woah…"
She glances over at him with a smile, watching his wide eyes take in everything around them.
"I know, right?" she agrees. Even she'd been surprised when she's first visited Jason's place. (Granted, Jason's was the first celebrity home she'd really been to at the time when she was just starting out. She knows now it can get even wilder).
"What do you even do with this much space?" he asks, looking around, still wonderstruck.
She shrugs. "I don't know. That's why I didn't go this hard when searching for my place, this looks like a hassle to upkeep."
They get out of the car and though Percy's eyes are still roaming around, his hand finds hers immediately as if he just knows where she is without looking. It's incredibly sweet. She swears this man never fails to make her stomach flutter.
"Hey guys!" Jason is walking up to them with a wide smile "Welcome to Casa de Grace!"
She shakes her head. "You think that's a joke but that's literally what their mom named it."
Percy lets out a low whistle. "Damn, this place is huge." (Whistling is not sexy right? Then why did she just think it is when Percy did it?)
"…pool, and skate park." Jason is evidently finishing listing out the attractions of the house when she zones back in.
"Skate park?" Clearly, Percy's attention has been piqued.
"Yep, it's Thalia's thing…she's probably over there now actually. Want to see it?"
"Yes!"
His excitement is so cute she can't help but smile again as she walks hand in hand with him, following Jason's lead towards the back. A small lock of his hair falls in front of his face, and he brushes it aside quickly, listening with rapt attention to whatever Jason is saying.
"Right, Annabeth?" Jason asks.
"Right…" What was Jason saying again?
He raises an eyebrow at her, as if he knows she wasn't paying attention. (It's not her fault her boyfriend is distracting).
Thankfully, he doesn't comment on it further and simply shoots her a teasing smile (proof that though Percy might not have noticed her looking, Jason definitely did.)
"We have arrived," Jason announced with fake grandeur as they step onto the concrete. It's a small skate park, a few rails, a ramp and one of those bowl-like things.
Sure enough, Thalia is there, riding a skateboard up the ramp. The three of them watch her as she jumps and comes back down.
"Would you believe me if I told you she claims this is how she stays in shape?" Jason comments as she starts to ride towards them. "The modeling agency is quaking."
"Hey," Thalia calls out in her usual intense way. It's something that she had to earn her way out of when she first met her. And right now, all the intensity is focused on Percy.
"So you're the boyfriend…" she says, looking him over. The critical eye that makes her stand out in fashion industry is now scanning her boyfriend and Annabeth finds herself squeezing his hand in support.
"Yep…" Percy chuckles nervously. "You're good," he nods towards the ramp.
Thalia shoots him a half-smile. "And you're decent at making coffee."
"I'm decent at skating too," he replies, shocking both Jason and Annabeth. She turns to look at her boyfriend, he's never mentioned this before.
Thalia, though, simply lifts up an eyebrow. "Go for it."
She hands him her skateboard and Percy lets go of her hand to grab it. He walks a half-step before turning to shoot her a small smile.
She'll admit her heart leaps into her throat as he hops on the board and slides down the curve. God, she hopes he knows what he's doing and not just trying to gain appro—
He comes back up the ramp at a high speed and manages to do a kickflip on the edge before skating back down again.
What. The. F—
The words die in her mind as he continues to skate around, hopping on the rail and doing a few smaller tricks before once again going up the ramp.
Her heart is pounding loudly in her chest and she's not sure if it's because she's worried for Percy getting hurt or if him skating is just incredibly attractive. (Probably both).
Percy skates back to them and she's the one a little out of breath.
"Not bad," Thalia says approvingly as she takes his board from him.
"Thanks," he says a little out of breath himself (somehow making her even more breathless). "It's been a while since I've practiced."
"Well, you're welcome here anytime," Thalia replies generously, surprising everyone with how quickly Percy got her approval.
(What can she say? Her boyfriend is the best).
"Wow Percy, didn't know you could skate," Jason says voicing her thoughts. (Well, one of her thoughts anyway.)
Percy shrugs shyly. "I had a skater boy phase in high school, never really grew completely out of it".
An image of Percy wearing all black with ripped jeans pops into her head and… it's not an unpleasant picture.
"Well, that was impressive!" Jason once again voices (one of) her thoughts. He glances at her, shooting her another teasing smile.
She hasn't said anything and it's becoming apparent.
"Yeah," she echoes. "Really impressive." Acting has at least taught her to not let her voice catch but it's hard when her lovely boyfriend is in front of her looking at her like that.
Speaking off, Percy is looking at her curiously. As if he's trying to read her reaction. (She swears she's a better actress than this.)
"Well, let's head in," Jason declares loudly, breaking the spell. Percy's hand once again finds hers and forget flutters, it's doing acrobatics now.
"The pool is that way," Jason gestures vaguely, "but it's nothing special". He grins at Percy. "Do you swim?"
Percy shrugs in that humble sort of way that she knows he's about to say something impressive.
"I used to be on the swim team."
Oh hell no.
This is entirely unfair. Is there anything he's not capable of doing?
Thankfully they're not going swimming. (Which is good because honestly, she doesn't think she could handle seeing Percy do that too).
She's so caught up in her own thoughts, wondering if she can possibly fake a reason to head home early and have her boyfriend all to herself, that she doesn't notice how Thalia and Jason are walking slightly ahead as Percy drags behind with her.
He tugs on her hand to get her attention and she immediately gives it to him.
"You okay?" he asks quietly, his brows furrowed together in a cute way.
"Yeah, I'm good."
He looks like he doesn't believe her and how is she supposed to tell him that it's just because he's been unfairly attractive all day, especially after pulling that last stunt?
"You sure?"
"Yeah, I'm just…" she glances over at Jason and Thalia to make sure they're not listening and lowers her voice.
"That was really impressive," she emphasizes her words and looks up at him through her lashes. "I liked it…a lot."
"Oh."
Percy seems to have finally caught up with her emotions and flushes red in an endearing way. "Oh," he repeats.
She smiles at him. It's baffling to her that he doesn't realize just how amazing she finds him.
"Why didn't you tell me you skate?" she asks, switching the conversation.
"It just never came up."
"Anything else that hasn't come up?" she asks teasingly.
Percy seems to think about it before he nods. "Yeah, a few things."
She looks at him expectantly. "Well?"
"Well, guess you'll have to find them out later," he grins.
"Oh, come on," she pouts playfully, tugging on his hand.
"Not really…appropriate…to say here, if you know what I mean." He gazes into her eyes and god does her heart lurch a little at the words.
But then he shoots her a grin and walks a little faster, tugging her along, to ask Jason a question about the house.
Did he just?
She can't help but chuckle at his nerve.
Turns out teasing is another thing Percy Jackson is good at.
A/N: Shoutout to anon on tumblr for the prompt of Annabeth finding out Percy can skate! I decided to do this in one of the rare Annabeth POVs! I hope you guys liked it! It was just so nice to write Annabeth being as obsessed with Percy as he is with her!
Please Review! I'd love to hear your thoughts!
And as always, thanks for reading!
