Chapter 399 Schemes and Alliances

Things had settled down a little as the various forces increases their numbers and forged alliances. The Black Hat Organization was doing quit well with selling weapons and gadgets to the forces of Castle Lemongrab and various criminals from different kingdoms, were also doing business with the villainous organization. Black Hat was really pleased with how things were going and actually started letting his minions go out every now and then to have some fun. They mostly hung out at Castle Lemongrab. One night Dr. Flug headed over to Castle Lemongrab and headed to a bar, where he ended up setting next to Doktor Frogg, who was sipping a drink and muttering under his breath about his work.
"Rough day in the lab?" Asked Flug.
"You could say that. At the moment I really don't have much of a lab. I tried to get myself assigned to the science division, so I can get access to their lab equipment, but my request is slowly being processed and they say it would go faster if I had any inventions to demonstrate my skills, but I don't have any with me and I can't just whip up something out of thin air." Said Frogg looking a little depressed.
"Man. That's just rough." Said Flug.
"And the rest of the League Of Super Evil hasn't been much help either. Red Menace is a nice guy, but he isn't very bright." Said Frogg.
"Kind of sounds like my colleague 5.0.5, nice, but not very bright." Said Flug.
"No kidding. Do you have a feral coworker, who drives you crazy?" Said Frogg.
"Actually yes. A women named Demencia. You?" Said Flug.
"A really weird dog creature named Doomageddon. Is your boss by any chance dumb?" Said Frogg.
"No. My boss is both smart and terrifying." Said Flug.
"Well my boss, Voltar is dumb and unreasonable." Said Frogg.
"Do tell." Said Flug.
"He got into this huge argument with a green alien named Zim and it ended up with them challenging each other to a duel using giant robots. Now Voltar expects me to build him a giant robot, when he knows I don't have the resources to do that. I have blueprints for a giant robot we once piloted, but no way to build it." Grumbled Frogg.
Flug looked at his fellow evil scientist with sympathy and an idea began to form in his mind.
"Why don't you come back with me to Black Hat Organization headquarters, we have tons of robot parts and materials we can use to build your robot." Said Flug.
"You would really do that for me?" Asked Frogg.
"Of course. I can't stand to see another evil scientist fail, because of his incompetent leader and lack of resources. Besides it would be nice to have someone intelligent to talk to, who understands what I have to deal with in the workplace." Said Flug.
"Well you have my thanks then." Said Frogg.
The two of them headed to Black Hat Organization headquarters and began to build a giant robot together.
Down in the science lab of Castle Lemongrab, Gumbald, Blargetha, and Duke Nukem were working together to construct a powerful nuclear battery, which Gumbald said was going to be the power source to a special project of his. After finishing up the battery Gumbald asked one of the servants to bring him a list of all the new recruits to see if any of them could be useful for any further science projects. Gumbald also summoned Quark to his side to give him a special mission.
"I need you to use your shrinking skills to provide a little bit of mistrust in a certain young hero's ear." Said Gumbald.
"Whose the target boss man?" Asked Quark.
"Finn. I want you to go into his ear, when he's asleep and tell him repeatedly not to trust Bubblegum." Said Gumbald.
"Doesn't Finn hate Bubblegum and not trust her?" Asked Quark.
"Oh he does, but this will help drive a deeper wedge between them. This will also allow me to get closer to Finn and maybe turn him to our side, though I have plans within plans incase that doesn't really work." Said Gumbald.
"Well you can count on me boss. One big wedge coming right up." Said Quark before he shrank and vanished.
Gumbald then went to go speak with Jordan, Lord of the Fairies. The candy scientist had began to make plans to create a clone of Finn to serve as his champion, but he wanted his clone of Finn to be special. Gumbald had run through various ideas of fusing Finn's demigod DNA were various life forms and substances, but they just lacked the power factor, he was looking for. The candy man decided to turn to magic to give him the warrior he desired. Unlike Bubblegum, Gumbald was more open minded about magic, he was still a scientist and usually preferred to use science, but he had seen the power and skills of many magic users and knew that magic existed and had it's uses. A wiseman drew upon many different sources of knowledge in order to become wiser and reach new heights. Gumbald was a wiseman and he planned to use every thing at his disposal to come out on top over his niece and the rest of Ooo. He found Jordan in his room, with Tree Witch and Grassy Wizard. The tree magic users were gather around a table that had the orb containing Grass Demon sitting in the center.
"What's all this?" Asked Gumbald approaching the group.
"Tree Witch and Grassy Wizard apparently conjured a demon named Grass Demon and now we're trying to figure out how best to use him." Said Jordan.
"Please to meet you." Said Grass Demon.
"A demon huh?" Said Gumbald as he leaned forward to study the creature.
"Could he be the thing you've been searching for to create, your clone champion?" Asked Jordan.
"Perhaps." Said Gumbald.
"What are you trying to clone?" Asked Grass Demon.
"A demigod." Said Gumbald.
"A demigod! Well you have my full attention and assistance." Said Grass Demon.
"I'm making plans to get close to Finn, do you have something to help me gather the materials necessary to create a magical clone of him?" Said Gumbald looking at Jordan.
"Oh I have just the tool we need." Said Jordan pulling out what appeared to be a silver pocket watch, with silver chrome mirror inside, two dull black clock hands, and a small round blue gemstone in the center.
"A watch?" Asked Gumbald studying the device.
"Oh this is no ordinary watch. This watch has a magical materials in it that combined with help create a soul stone, which will hold a copy of Finn's very soul." Said Jordan.
"Explain." Said Gumbald.
"The mirror is actually made of a magical substance called copiers chrome. It will copy a person's image and all physical attributes into the mirror. The hands of the clock are made out of shadow crystal and they have the ability siphon off some of Finn's shadow. Shadows hold a good bit of a person's soul. The clock hands will turn black once they siphoned off a bit of Finn's shadow. Once mirrors and the clock hands do their job they will then transfer everything into the blue magic stone turning it into a soul stone. Then you will have your very own little copy of Finn and you can do whatever you want with it." Said Jordan.
"Excellent. Will probably need to do a little tapering and throw in a few safeguards before we create our champion. Don't want to have to deal with two Finn's fighting against us now do we?" Said Gumbald.
"I shall show you how to implement safeguards for the clone." Said Jordan.
"And I shall give your clone a form as well as incredible power." Said Grass Demon.
"Then it's settled then. I shall go see Finn in a few days and try to convince him to side with us, but in actuality I will be using Jordan's watch to get what we need to create a soul stone. Once we have the soul stone and placed some safeguards on it, Grass Demon shall give our champion a form and power. With our new champion leading the way we shall conquer Ooo!" Said Gumbald.
The other villains cheered in excitement for their scheme.
Miles away beneath the ground RECR was digging his way up getting closer and closer to the surface, where it could accomplish it's mission of protecting the great lands and destroying everyone.
