The two looked around, and surprisingly, the beach was inhabited by dozens of fish folk. A Lobster ran up greeted them.
"You don't have to hold your breath, guys," The Lobster said; "you can go a while without water. Breathing air is so much easier too!"
Patrick breathed a sigh of relief.
SpongeBob held his breath in rather stubbornly; he didn't trust a stranger to tell him how his body worked.
"It's going to be okay, Buddy," Patrick reassured, "We just left the Ocean; we should be okay."
Sponge Bob very cautiously released his breath. The air was sharp and harder to breathe.
"It hurts a little," Spongebob said.
"Well," The Lobster asked, "What part of the ocean was the city you were born in?"
"Oh," Spongebob answered, " We're from Bikini Bottom!"
The Lobster shouted in surprise, "Bikini Bottom?!"
"Yeah," Patrick said, "Is there a problem?"
"Dude," The Lobster said enthusiastically, "That place is fantastic! Your Biological Diversity is unmatched."
Spongebob felt flattered, although he wasn't sure why.
Then the lobster asked, " How long are you guys going to be here?"
"We're looking for Neptune's Crown," Spongebob said confidently.
"Ah," The Lobster said, "then you need to get yourself a sturdy pair of lungs."
"Huh," Patrick said, confused.
Suddenly, two crabs came out of the sand, and the Lobster smiled. The two crabs pulled the two friends from each other and dragged them to a specific spot on the beach.
"Now," The Lobster said, "The ceremony of severance can begin."
They couldn't move due to the Crabs, but they could see torches surrounding them and the other fish folk. Fear froze Patrick; SpongeBob was trembling. Two Anchovies made a trail of salt from the Ocean to the two of them.
"Behold," The Lobster said, "Your link with the Heart of the Ocean!"
The sunsetted, and the trails glowed just a little at first, but then their salt paths grew luminous, especially the one going to Spongebob. The tide seemed to rise a bit as well.
"What in the world," The Lobster whispered, perplexed.
"Please," Spongebob begged," Let us go."
The Lobster turned to SpongeBob and asked, "Who are you?"
"I'm SpongeBob SquarePants," He said, a bit confused himself.

The Lobster gasped, "The Spongebob? Who freed us from the Cyclops?"

"That was me," Spongebob asked, surprised.

"Yeah," The Lobster said, "You and your friend Patrick!"

"Me," Patrick Asked, now finding his voice.

"Oh my gosh," The Lobster said, "I am so sorry. This has all been one big misunderstanding."

The Crabs got off of them quickly.

"We thought you might have been staying with us forever," The lobster said.

"Why in the world would you think that," Patrick asked, now understandably upset.

The Lobster Shrugs and says, "That's what our Master told us."

SpongeBob sprang to his feet and looked around. That's when he spotted that shadowy figure; it was trying to hide in the night.

"Patrick," SpongeBob said, trying to get his friend's attention.

"Does he happen to wear a black cloak," Patrick asked.

"Patrick," SpongeBob said worriedly as the figure came closer.

The Lobster nodded.

"Patrick," SpongeBob said, raising his voice. The figure approached ever closer.

"That guy's a real jerk," Patrick said, "He tried to keep me from SpongeBob."

"Patrick," SpongeBob Yelled, "He's Here!"

Patrick turned in shock to the cloaked figure.

The other fish bowed as the figure came to our two Heroes.

There was a devilish chuckle from the darkness of the being's hood.
