Chapter 405 The Mountain

A few days later the explorers of from Gravity Falls were ready to set out on their quest to Mt. Ebott. The wizards and warriors that would be accompanying were summoned to the Ice Kingdom. Rock Wizard, Brain Wiz, Heckapoo, Hunter Wizard, Huntress Wizard, six Wizard Police Officers, and two Eliminators marched out of Wizard City and to the Ice Kingdom. Finn, Jake, BMO, Phoebe, and Locke grabbed their bags, left the Treefort, and headed to the Ice Kingdom. Insecto hopped into Finn's bag unnoticed and now was traveling with the heroes to continue spying on them for the forces of Castle Lemongrab.
A few hours later the wizards and the warriors arrived at Castle Lemongrab and met up with the explorers. Gata scowled, when she saw Brain Wiz among the wizards. Brain Wiz saw Gata's glare and took a deep breath before he approached Gata.
"Hello Gata." Said Brain Wiz.
"Brain Wiz." Said Gata.
"I just want to say I'm sorry for siding with Gentleman Wizard in trying to destroy you back in Wizard City, when your heritage and condition were revealed. I thought I was doing the right and logical thing at the time, but now I know I was in the wrong. You were an innocent person and I should have known that Gentleman Wizard was trying to siege power for himself in Wizard City. I was a fool and I am truly sorry for my actions." Said Brain Wiz.
"Fine. I'll forgive you, but you're going to do more then just simply apologize to fully earn my trust." Said Gata.
"I won't let you down." Said Brain Wiz with a nod.
Simon appeared before the group to see them off on their journey.
"I wish you all good luck and fortune on your journey. Mt. Ebott is an ancient and mysterious place and I have no idea what you might encounter inside it. My advice is to stay together, use your wits, and be on your guard." Said Simon.
"Thank you teacher." Said Dipper.
"Don't you worry Simon, will make sure everyone returns safe and sound." Said Finn.
With that said the expedition team set out to Mt. Ebott. Several hours later the group was scaling Mt. Ebott, until they came across a massive opening in the side of the mountain. The explorers peeked through the hole and saw a massive drop. Rock Wizard used his magic earth manipulation powers to create a stairway leading down to the ground below and Hunter Wizard and Huntress Wizard used some of their magic plant arrows to create some safety rails for the staircase. One by one the team headed down the stairs into Mt. Ebott, unaware that Mr. White the assassin was tailing them.
On another part of the mountain, the expedition from Castle Lemongrab was making it's own way into the mountain. Tinker Knight had a massive drilling machine that had tank treads and a big drill at the front. The group had found a weak layer of rocks and we're now drilling their way in. Tinker Knight used his drilling machine, Mole Knight used his claws, Shovel Knight and Black Knight used their shovels, and Plague Knight used his explosives. The rest of the team helped out every now and then, but they mostly stayed to the sidelines and watched the others work. Unbeknownst to the Castle Lemongrab group one of Magica's shadows was spying on them.
After several minutes of spying the shadow flew away and went into some woods where Magica was waiting with Morbidia, Gateaux, Natasha, and several more shadows. The shadow went over to Magica and touched her staff making an image of the Castle Lemongrab team hard at work appear in the orb on top of her staff. Magica studied the image and then she spoke.
"It appears we have ourselves some competition. I believe they're from Castle Lemongrab."
Morbidia, Gateaux, and Natasha exchanged nervous looks. Other parties looking for Horror's Hand was bad and it would make the quest more difficult. Retinz had warned the members of Witch Way that if they returned empty handed, he would personally end them. Witch Way had to succeed in the quest otherwise it was game over for them.
"So what's the plan?" Asked Morbidia.
"For the time being we wait and watch. Let Castle Lemongrab do all the digging for us. We just have to play it smart." Said Magica.
The others nodded and simply went back to waiting.
In Universe 56, a cloaked figure was approaching the Cult of Aku's lair. Several cult members appeared and surrounded the stranger pointing spears at the intruder. The High Priestess then appeared and ordered her minions to lower their weapons.
"Are you the one that can get my daughters where they need to go?" Asked the High Priestess.
The hooded figure just nodded his head. The High Priestess summoned Ashi and her other daughters.
"Daughters today is the day you set out on your destiny. Kill the one call the one call Chi and you shall take your rightful place alongside Aku." Said the High Priestess to her children.
"How will we find Chi?" Asked Ashi.
"This man will open a portal to the universe Chi is currently residing in and he will provide a map to where she is going. The rest is up to you." Said the High Priestess.
The Daughters of Aku put on their masks and the cloaked figure waved his hands and opened a portal up. The seven women entered the portal followed by the cloaked figure. The portal closed and the Daughters found themselves in the woods of a strange new world. The Daughters took in their surroundings as the cloaked figure Ashi a map to Mt. Ebott. Ashi took a few minutes to study the map and then she and her sisters took off running at incredible speed. The cloaked figure watched the Daughters go and removed his hood to reveal the grinning face of Klarion.
"And so the hunt begins." Said Klarion to himself.
The Daughters traveled a few miles before they heard a weird noise up ahead that made them stopped and duck behind some trees a rock. The seven women looked up at a clearing up ahead and saw a young female deer enter it. Now the Daughters had spent their entire lives living in Cult of Aku's lair and had only been taught lessons in tracking, fighting, reading, stealth, and killing, so they had no knowledge about things like animals.
"What...is that?" Asked one of the Daughters.
"Quit." Ordered Ashi.
The deer began to graze.
"Mother told us there would be other creatures." Said another Daughter.
The deer continued grazing unaware of the Daughters. Then there was another sound.
"Something else approaches." Said the Daughter.
A large male deer with antlers entered the clearing.
"Aku! It is surly one his minions." Said one Daughter.
"It will devour the weaker one." Said another Daughter.
The male deer approached the female deer and they began to rub noses together in affection.
"What madness is this?!" Asked one Daughter.
"What are they doing?" Asked Ashi.
"I...don't know." Said another Daughter.
"Well I don't like it!" Said one Daughter.
One of the Daughters stepped on a twig making a loud snap alerting the deer and making them run away. The Daughters stood there silently thinking about what they saw before they continued on with their mission.
Back at Mt. Ebott, Laser Wizard and his group had arrived and had located a good place to start digging into the mountain. LeChuck had his crew digging away at the rocks with shovels and pickaxes, Koba used some powerful poison to melt away at the rocks, and Laser Wizard fired powerful lasers at the rocks. The others stood on the sidelines just standing guard or chatting among themselves. Chi was chilling with her little group of friends chatting.
"So what all do you think will find in there?" Asked Samantha.
"Well I know that Mettaton guy lives here and he broadcasts his own tv show." Said Nyx.
"Oh! Maybe I can get Mettaton's autograph and ask if he'll let me sing on his show!" Said Chi with excitement.
"You should totally do that and we can be your backup dancers!" Said Nyx with stars in her eyes.
"Maybe I should write a poem or song for Wendy and do it on Mettaton's show as a grand gesture to Wendy." Said Alcor scratching his chin.
"Dude, you should totally do it!" Said Samantha.
"You really think Wendy would accept your gesture of affection?" Asked Kai.
"Well I won't know, until I try. I just want to show her that I truly love her." Said Alcor.
"Well you can count on us for help." Said Nyx.
Some wind blew by and Chi caught a strange and unusual scent. Chi sniffed the air in confusion as she wondered what the smell was.
"What is it?" Asked Kai.
"No...idea. Probably nothing." Said Chi as she shrugged her shoulders.
Inside Mt. Ebott, the explorers from Gravity Falls and their group reached the bottom of their stairs and began to look around at their surroundings. Phoebe used her flames to provide some light, but there wasn't too much need for that. There were large glowing crystals and patches of strange glowing moss scattered around the cave. Rock Wizard put his hand on the ground and then he spoke.
"There's an incredible amount of magic in this mountain."
"That'll make tracking Horror's Hand difficult." Said Brain Wiz.
"Maybe we can find a local to help us." Said Hunter Wizard.
The little group moved deeper into the mountain and encountered what appeared to be some ruins of ancient buildings and houses. Ford and the wizards examined the ruins, while the others looked around. Dipper and Mabel wandered a little ways, until they encountered an unusual looking flower. The flower had a white androecium with eyes and a mouth, six yellow petals, and a light-green stem. The twins stared at the flower and then it spoke in a cheery voice.
"Howdy! I'm FLOWEY. FLOWEY the FLOWER!"
"Dipper the adorable flower just spoke!" Exclaimed Mabel eyes open wide in wonder.
"Hmmmm. You're new to the Underground aren' tcha?" Said Flowey.
"We are." Said Dipper.
"Golly you must be so confused. Someone ought to teach you how things work around here! I guess little old me will have to do." Said Flowey.
"Ah this guys great!" Said Mabel.
"Ready. Here we go. You see people get strong here by gaining LV." Said Flowey.
"What's LV stand for?" Asked Dipper.
"Why LOVE of course!" Said Flowey.
"That's awesome! I'm going to be like Super Girl with all the love I'm going to earn." Said Mabel with excitement.
"You want some LOVE?" Asked Flowey.
"Yes!" Said Mabel.
"Don't worry I'll share some with you!" Said Flowey.
Flowey winked with his left eye and stuck out his tongue as six white seeds appeared spinning in the air around him.
"Down here, LOVE is shared through...little white friendliness pellets." Explained Flowey.
"What are we supposed to do?" Asked Mabel.
"Oh I'll fling the friendliness pellets and you just have to run into them. Now here they come!" Said Flowey as the pellets headed towards Mabel.
Mabel was about to run into the pellets, but a sixth sense warned Dipper that something just wasn't right here and he yanked Mabel out of the way of the pellets. The projectiles flew by the twins and one of them struck a rock and put a hole through it. Dipper took notice of this.
"Hey! What gives?!" Yelled Mabel as she pushed away from Dipper.
"That wasn't love Flowey was shooting at you." Said Dipper pointing at the rock with the hole in it.
"What...?" Said Mabel looking stunned.
A maniac grin appeared on Flowey's face and he spoke.
"You idiots. In this world, it's kill or BE killed. Why would ANYONE pass up an opportunity like this?!"
Several dozens suddenly appeared and formed a ring around the two startled twins. Mabel cried out in fear and grabbed onto Dipper.
"Die." Said Flowey as the seeds began to close in on the twins.
Flowey laughed as the seeds got closer and closer. Dipper was about to cast his shield spell, when a Fireball suddenly flew in and struck Flowey and sent him flying.
"Aaaaaaaa!" Cried Flowey as he flew off and vanished off from sight.
The seeds stopped moving and vanished. Dipper and Mabel turned in the direction the fireball had come from expecting to see Phoebe, but were greeted by a different figure. The newcomer had a head coach resembled a white-furred Nubian Goat, structured with droopy ears and short horns. She had a pair of visible fangs and long eyelashes, and her irises had a dark red tint. The newcomer had an anthropomorphic body, with paws at the end of her limbs and wore a long purple robe displaying a strange rune on her chest. She scowled in the direction Flowey had flown and it then she turned to the children and gave them a warm welcoming smile and spoke.
"What a terrible creature, torturing such poor innocent youths."
Dipper and Mabel weren't sure what to make of the newcomer, she seemed sweet and kind, but so had Flowey and he ended up being a murderous psycho. This creature could possibly just as bad. The creature seemed to know what the twins were thinking and spoke some more.
"Ah, don't be afraid children. I am Toriel caretaker of the Ruins. I pass through this place every day to see if anyone has fallen down."
"Has anyone else fallen down here recently?" Asked Dipper.
"You are the first humans to come in a long time." Said Toriel.
"There have been other humans in the past?" Asked Mabel.
"There have been a few humans down here over the years, but it's a bit more complicated then that." Said Toriel.
"I have a feeling there's a long story about that." Said Dipper.
"There is indeed. You mind telling me your names?" Said Toriel.
"I'm Mabel. Thanks for saving us from that nasty flower." Said Mabel.
"You're welcome." Said Toriel.
"And I'm Dipper." Said Dipper.
"Nice to meet you both." Said Toriel.
"We better get back to the rest of our group." Said Dipper.
"There are others?" Asked Toriel.
"Yeah a whole big group of us." Said Mabel.
The twins lead Toriel to the rest of the group. The rest of the team took Toriel in with interest. Toriel looked both surprised and excited to see the large group. Dipper addressed the group.
"Hey everyone. This is Toriel and she is a local. I think she can help us."
"Hello there everyone it's so nice to meet all of you. I haven't seen a big group of people in such a long time. This calls for a celebration! If you would all please follow me and I will take you to my house to meet some good friends of mine. I'll serve us some drinks and snacks and I'll tell you the history of the Underground." Said Toriel.
The group thought this was a good idea, so they followed Toriel deeper into the Ruins.
