Chapter 410 Doctor's Forces

Misery and her group traveled through a tunnel and entered the snowy land of Snowdin. They traveled through the woods and town, until they came upon another tunnel that they entered. Misery and her group went through the tunnel and then they entered a land called Waterfall. It was a vast land with many rivers, lakes, and of course waterfalls. Waterfall was a beautiful and wet place that served as a home to many, including the Captain of the Royal Guard, who served directly under Asgore. Misery and Balrog had many run ins with the Captain in the past and the Captain was not a big fan of theres. Rippy and Crocks split from Misery's group and went to their home in Waterfall. The rest of the group pressed on and entered another tunnel that took them to a dessert land called Hotland. It was a harsh desert area with lava and several bright glowing crystals up on the celling that lite the place up and gave the illusion of there being a sun. Colos, Suses, Flatbrim, Snapback, and Excaliboar split up from the main group and went their separate ways, while Misery, Balrog, and the remaining Mants went deeper into Hotland to meet up with their master. A man simply know as the Doctor.
Back at Toriel's house, Finn and the others were helping clean up the damage caused by the fighting and Toriel had just told the others about the encounter and fight with Isaac's mad mother. As all that was going on, Jenka was lost in thought. The attack on the house was violent, but Misery herself had barely put up a fight and had retreated as soon as she was confronted by Phoebe, Gata, and BMO. Jenka knew her daughter well and it wasn't like her to not put up a fight and simply retreat, unless that was a part of her plan to begin with! Jenka quickly lifted the protection spell off of the shed and opened the door. Inside the shed there was a freshly dug hole in the middle of the floor. Some Mants must have dug up through the floor to break into the shed! Janka glanced over at one of the shelves and saw that the bag that the bag that contained the red flower seeds was gone. The attack had simply been a diversion. Misery had finally gotten the seeds and was most likely on her way to deliver them to her master.
"Clever girl." Muttered Jenka as she went to go alert the others about the theft.
"So what exactly is the deal with these red flower seeds and why exactly does your daughter and the person she works for want them?" Asked Brain Wiz.
"The red flowers are a creation of my brother Ballos. He wanted to create a magical edible plant capable of both healing a person and granting them great power. Unfortunately things didn't go the way Ballos planned. The red flowers did heal people, but it also turned them into hulking bloodthirsty behemoths. The red flowers were a complete disaster and those that ate them had to be put down. Most of the plants were destroyed, but a few seeds were saved for studying and research purposes. I wanted to fix the red flowers, so they could be used for good, I even gave some to Gaster to see if he could use his science to fix them, but nothing we tried worked." Said Jenka.
"Even when Ballos tries to do something good it ended in disaster." Muttered Huntress Wizard.
"What about Misery?" Asked Heckapoo.
"My daughter is a gifted and powerful witch, unfortunately she lacked the patience and work ethic to become a great user of magic like me or Ballos. Misery decided to take a shortcut to obtain great power. She along with her comrade Balrog confronted Ballos and demanded he make them a great crown of power. Ballos ripped out his left eye and used it to create a powerful weapon he called the Demon Crown. It granted both Misery and Balrog incredible power whenever they placed it on their heads, but it also came with a terrible curse. Whenever someone else got a hold of the Demon Crown and placed it on their heads they gained great power as well as complete control over Misery and Balrog. Misery and Balrog become slaves to whoever wears the Demon Crown." Said Jenka.
"Have they tried to destroy the crown?" Asked Rock Wizard.
"They've tried to destroy the crown several times, but it always comes back thanks to Ballos's magic it always comes back. The only way to destroy the crown is to kill Ballos himself, which is easier said then done." Said Jenka.
"So who currently wears the Demon Crown?" Asked Finn.
"I don't know too much about the current user except he operates in Hotland and he goes by the title Doctor." Said Jenka.
"What's this Doctor guy want with the red flower seeds?" Asked Heckapoo.
"Most likely he plans to grow the flowers and use to make a powerful army to conquer this world or some other world." Said Jenka.
"Well I guess we got to hunt this guy down and put a stop to his plans then." Said Finn cracking his knuckles.
"I just called a good friend of mine and his agreed to be your group's guide in the Underground. His name is Sans and he'll be here in about an hour." Said Toriel.
"Cool." Said Gata.
"I would also like you to track down Isaac's mother. She's a unfit parent and needs to be locked up in either a prison or a mental hospital. I don't want her anywhere near Isaac." Said Toriel.
"Consider it done. We're experts in dealing with bad parents." Said Jake.
"Thank you." Said Toriel.
Toriel brought out some more tea and snacks out for the explorers as they waited for Sans to arrive.
Back in Hotland, Misery, Balrog, and the Mants were approaching a grassy oasis that had what appeared to be the ruins of a fortress. Several dozen Mants along with a few dozen bandage covered humanoid creatures called Bandits. A tall Bandit decked out in a metal face mask, with metal spikes on his head, a poncho with straps across his chest, and carrying a shotgun stepped through the crowd and approached Misery. This was Big Bandit leader of the Bandits, who were all hired by the Doctor as local muscle.
"I'm here to see the Doctor. I have something he wants." Said Misery.
Big Bandit grunted and he and the other guards stepped aside. Misery and Balrog continued on to the fort as the Mants that had accompanied them split up from them. The witch and the monster continued on to the fort. They passed what appeared to be a statue of a sphinx-like lion with a blue gemstone on it's head and two cannons sticking out of it's shoulders. Misery knew the statue was actually a monster named Bolban that served the Doctor.
"Bolban is the champion of staring contests." Whispered Balrog as they continued walking.
They passed a small pool, where a large blue catfish with metal pinchers decked out in yellow and green armor with red boots was casually lounging. The catfish was named Endol and he waved at Misery and Balrog as they passed. Misery glanced up at the roof of the fortress and saw two bird creatures sitting on it. One bird creature was named Baruda. He was a giant brown bird with a yellow beak and yellow eyebrows. Baruda dressed in a green shirt with yellow stripes, sunglasses, and a strange metal pack strapped to his and back, with a part of the front end looking like a laser cannon. Next to Baruda was a humanoid bird creature named Merco. Merco had red feathers and yellow hair that covered his leftist eye. He wore blue armor, with wings on his back, and carried a lance and shield.
"They got a Birdseye view up there." Thought Misery.
To the side of the fort there was a courtyard where several makeshift targets made of wood were setup and four individuals were having some target practice. One individual was a large humanoid gorilla with blue spiky hair named Tarus. Tarus wore yellow and green armor with blue tubes on the shoulders. He threw rocks at the targets. Next to him was yellow furred humanoid wolf with a purple mohawk named Lunar. Lunar wore a black bodysuit with red armor, with bits of yellow and black tubes in his shoulders. He fired at the targets with a laser gun. Next to Lunar was a short snake creature named. Serpentine was a lime green Viper with green stripes and a yellow underbelly and red eyes. He wore dark blue and gold armor with robotic arms and fired a laser gun of his own at the targets. The last person doing target practice was a pink furred humanoid cat girl with blonde hair in pigtails and some of it covering her left eye named Natia. She wore a black top, black armbands, black miniskirt, and black boots. Natia threw knives at the targets.
"Show offs." Thought Misery as she and Balrog entered the fort.
The first room of the fort looked like a game room complete with a couch, tv, and a gaming system. Sitting on the couch playing video games was a teenage human boy named Merak. Merak had blue eyes and somewhat spiky, sand-brown hair, with his bangs swept over his right eye. He wore what appeared to be a school uniform, with a black unbuttoned jacket, a untucked white shirt, and white and black shoes with light blue soles. He also wore a pair of blue headphones. Merak looked up from his game at Misery and Balrog.
"I see that the witch is back and that she didn't screw up her mission this time. Good for you." Said Merak.
Misery just glared at Merak as some doors opened and a new figure entered the room carrying a tray with a glass of soda on it. The newcomer was a humanoid robot with purple eyes and blonde hair dressed in a blue and white maid outfit. The robot went by the name Li'l Miss Marshmallow or simply Miss Marshmallow. Miss Marshmallow gave Merak the soda and turned to Misery and Balrog and spoke.
"Welcome home Lady Misery and Sir Balrog. The Doctor is in his office. Please follow me."
Misery and Balrog followed Miss Marshmallow down a hallway and then up some stairs and then they entered a large room that served as a study. Sitting behind a large desk was tall, bespectacled human man with tan skin and green hair. He wore a lab coat, glasses, and the Demon Crown. The Demon Crown was grey and rectangular crown with a eye insignia on the front with a red gemstone in the center. The man's full name was Fuyuhiko Date, though he was better known as the Doctor.
"Ah Misery. Balrog. I see you have returned. Did you succeed this time or did you fail me yet again?" Said the Doctor as he stood up from his desk and walked over to Misery and Balrog.
"We successfully retrieved the seeds master." Said Misery as she handed the bag of seeds over to the Doctor.
"I see. You know I was planning of killing the two of you if you failed me again as punishment and then I was going to see if the Demon Crown had the power to bring you back to life or see if the curse upon you would bring you back as zombies or ghost, but since you actually succeeded in getting me the seeds, I guess I'll allow you to live." Said the Doctor.
"Um...thank you sir." Said Misery with a nervous look in her eyes.
"Furi come here and bring a Mant. I need your talents to help test a special flower." Called the Doctor.
A few moments later a woman with light green skin, pointy ears, green shoulder length hair, and green eyes entered the room followed by a Mant. The woman was Furi and she wore nothing, but a bra and panties made out of green leafs. The Doctor smiled at Furi, who returned the smile as he handed her one the seeds. Furi wrapped her hands around the seed and a few seconds later it grew into a red flower. The Doctor took the red flower and feed it to the Mant. At first nothing happened and then the Mant tripled in size and became muscular and beastly with spikes. The Mant let out a savage roar and he looked like he was going to attack the Doctor, who remained perfectly calm as the gemstone on the Demon Crown glowed and then he gave a command.
"Kneel before your master."
The Mant kneeled before the Doctor, who just laughed with glee.
"Oh I can't wait to show the rest of the Underground my new army!" Said the Doctor.
The Doctor was one giant step closer to accomplishing his dreams of conquest.
