Chapter 421 Monster Parts

Meanwhile in Ooo, Crimson was in the secret lair observing several monitors showing video footage of the Peace Protectors saving various locations from natural disasters, monster attacks, and criminal attacks. The Peace Protectors were a really affective group and they have already gained a great deal of respect and admiration from all the people of Ooo. Gearga was a great leader to the group and she had assembled a formidable group of warriors that worked well together like a well oiled machine. Crimson was really starting to hate the Peace Protectors, but he had a plan to knock them down a few pegs. Gearga wasn't the only one who could bring a group of individuals together.
Crimson left the monitors and headed to a large room that contained several monsters. There was Giant Goo Skull, Heart Beast, Brain Beast, Wall of Flesh, Blood Beast, Muscle Monster, and two Demonic Eye Creatures. The Demonic Eye Creatures were the final addition to Crimson's plan. They were large flaming eyeballs with little horns, bat wings, and tails with spades. Crimson looked at the gathered monsters and spoke.
"Today's the day my lovelies. Soon Ooo will know a new terror like never before. Now time to send you off to wreck some havoc and once the Peace Protectors arrive, you're going to lead them to a special surprise they will never forget." Said Crimson before he used his magic to teleport the monsters out of the room and all over Ooo, before he teleported out of the room.
At Ooo's local library, Turtle Princess was browsing the shelves trying to find a good book, when she heard a strange slithering sound from the aisle next to her. Turtle Princess became curious and went to investigate it and came face to face with Brain Beast. One of Brain Beast's snake-like appendages hissed at Turtle Princess causing her to cry in fear and fall onto her back.
"Monster!" Cried Turtle Princess as she scrambled away from Brain Beast.
Brain Beast slithered after Turtle Princess as several other library goers screamed and shouted. The monster caught up to Turtle Princess and was about to attack her, when a chair flew through the air and struck it's body. Brain Beast looked up to see Ling standing a few feet away.
"I came here for some quiet reading and instead I find a monster causing trouble and harassing people." Said Ling with a bit of annoyance.
Brain Beast struck out with his limbs intending to finish Ling off quickly, but Greed took control of Ling's body and brought his armor up all over Ling's body. The snake limbs bit into Greed, but were unable to penetrate the armor and quickly retracted.
"Alright brain boy, I can see you're a smart boy judging by that big brain of yours. My armor is impenetrable and your attacks can't hurt me. So you might just want to give up." Said Greed cracking his knuckles.
Brain Beast let out a hiss and began to retreat backwards and Greed went after him. The monster grabbed two bookshelves crashing down on Greed burying him in books. Greed ripped his way through the rubble and saw Brain Beast escape through the back exit.
"Get back here pinky I'm not done with you yet!" Yelled Greed as he ran after the monster.
Mimi, Lapis, and Peridot were hanging out at a local park near a lake watching people ride around in paddle boats, when they heard a great commotion from the center of the lake. They all looked to see a great puddle of red liquid spring up in the center of the lake. The three women first thought there was some kind of boating accident or some fish got killed by some form of predictor, but then the red liquid sprung up into a geyser-like pillar with a skull face! It was the Blood Beast.
"What in the world is that thing?!" Said Lapis with both fear and disgust.
"Monster!" Said Mimi.
The Blood Beast fired streams of condensed blood at the nearby paddle boats and sank them. It then dragged a few unlucky people towards itself and sucked every last bit of their blood out of them, which left the people as dead husk and added to the monster's mass.
"We have to put a stop to this!" Yelled Peridot as she pulled out a metal shield to levitate and ride on.
Mimi, Lapis, and Peridot flew towards the monster. Peridot used her powers to fling some metal balls at the monster and Mimi fired her laser eyes at it, but neither attack made contact with Blood Beast as the monster simply opened up holes in it's body for the attacks to harmless pass through. Lapis used her powers to spin the water in the lake around to try and rip the monster apart. This seemed to have an affect on the monster as it was spun around with incredible speed, but the monster struck out with a tentacle made out of blood and hit Lapis knocking her back and sending her crashing on the shore.
"Freeze!" Yelled Mimi before blowing her ice breath on the monster.
Blood Beast's body began to freeze up and the monster decided it was time to retreat. It oozed it's way to shore and then it began to slink away. Mimi, Lapis, and Peridot flew after it.
Over in the Muscle Kingdom, Dakota, Julie, and Lila had recently joined the gym and were working out, when they heard screaming and shouting from some of the other gym patrons and ran to see what was happening. Muscle Monster was wrecking havoc by throwing gym goers and gym equipment around. The three strong women hurled themselves at the monster and tried to wrestle it to the ground, which was easier said then done since the monster had no bones and was able to squeeze out of any hold the heroes tried to use. Dakota tried to punch Muscle Monster, but the blows would just simply slip off the monster or simply have very little affect on it. Muscle Monster knocked Dakota back and sent her crashing through one of the gym walls. The monster exited through the hole and took off running with the heroes chasing after it.
In the Boneyard Kingdom, the Giant Goo Skull had appeared in the middle of the kingdom and had started going on a rampage. Skeletons ran away to avoid being crushed or hit by the monster's slime. Django who had just returned the Skull Shield and the Bone of Barnicles to the Death temple heard the sounds of destruction quickly raced onto the scene and turned his guitar into a scythe. Django saw the Giant Goo Skull and unleashed a energy wave from his scythe at the monster that slammed into it and knocked the creature back.
"Get out of here you creep! You're giving skeletons a bad name!" Yelled Django.
The Giant Goo Skull replied by firing a glob of slime from it's mouth at Django, forcing the Son of Death to jump out of the way to avoid being hit.
"Now that was just nasty and rude." Said Django as he fired a few more energy waves from his scythe at the monster.
The Giant Goo Skull dodged out the way and took off running. Django let out a annoyed sigh and ran after the monster.
Over in the Wildberry Kingdom, the Demonic Eye Creatures had shown up and started causing fires, but luckily both Canyon and Moss Man were in the area and used their powers to put a quick end to the fires. Canyon tried to strike the monsters out of the air with a water whip, but they simply flew away and the heroes chased after them.
In the the Breakfast Kingdom, Heart Beast was going on a rampage and shooting blast of electricity from it's skeleton arm and burning people to a crisp, when a couple shots of white energy slammed into the monster and knocked it to the ground. Heart Beast looked to see who attacked it and saw Silver Bear and Rorek facing it. The monster let out a savage roar and took off running and the heroes took off after it.
At the Peace Protectors base, William, DAVE, and Slippy were sitting in front of some monitors getting information about the monster attacks and the monsters fleeing the scene with agents in pursuit. Gearga stood behind Slippy and the others scratching her chin in thought. At first glance all these attacks seemed random and unconnected, but Gearga's instincts were telling her there was something bigger at play here.
"One of the Centurions spotted a monster a few hundred yards away from the base." Said Slippy.
"Send Tiki Torch and Techmo to deal with it." Said William.
"But there appears to be something else with the monster. I'm pulling up a live video feed." Said Slippy.
A monitor showed the Wall of Flesh and sitting right on top of the wall was Crimson himself. Crimson looked at the camera and casually waved at it. Gearga didn't like this. Crimson didn't usually go into the field unless, he was planning something big. He certainly wouldn't just appear in front of the Peace Protectors's base unless, he felt confident about winning against the Peace Protectors.
"How would you like to proceed?" Asked DAVE.
"I will lead a small squad out there to confront Crimson and the monster. Slippy, I'm leaving you and some others behind and I want you to contact, Marceline's home, the Ice Kingdom, Wizard City, and the Candy Kingdom and tell them about what's going on and if possible to come to our aid." Said Gearga.
"You really think the threat is that serious?" Asked Slippy.
"I do. Crimson is possible the single most dangerous individual in Ooo. His incredibly smart and he wouldn't be here unless he was absolutely confident he could take us. We have to play this smart." Said Gearga.
"Anything else you want me to do?" Asked Slippy.
"Put the entire base on lockdown and turn on the shield and defenses. Under no circumstances are you or anyone else allowed to leave the base, until the crisis has passed." Said Gearga.
"Understood." Said Slippy.
Gearga took William and together they recruited Drake, Skips, Broot, Sprocket, Usagi, Circe, Tiki Torch, and Branka to the squad going out to confront Crimson and the monster. The squad exited the base accompanied by twenty Centurions. Several metal shutters slid over the base's doors and windows, a few dozen turrets popped up from the roof and walls, and a blue energy force shied surrounded the building.
Within in the base, Slippy and DAVE stared at a monitor showing a live video feed of what was going on outside the base. The same video feed was played on a monitor in the mess hall, where Momo, Bismuth, CJ, Reize, Pizza Steve, Doc, Fredric, Mr. Gus, Shnitzel, Skeeter, Brandon, A Real Magic Skeleton, Sea Tea, Cherry Soda, and Oliver La Small were gathered and watching. Slippy continued to watch the monitor as he began to make calls to the Peace Protectors's allies the first being Tobe and Doctor Princess.
Gearga and the squad made their way to Crimson and the Wall of Flesh. As they got within a dozen yards from the two enemies, the Daughter of War raised her hand signaling the others to stop as she went ahead pointed her sword at Crimson and the monster and spoke.
"Crimson. Why are you here?"
"Hello Gearga, oh I just finished a special project of mine and I wanted to test it out. And who better to test my project on then you and your precious team." Said Crimson before he snapped his fingers.
The Wall of Flesh screeched as several tendrils made of stretched flesh shot out and struck at Gearga. The team leader dodged the attacks and chopped a few of the tendrils off making the monster scream in pain and retract it's remaining tendrils away.
"Give it up Crimson! Your monster stands no chance against us!" Said Gearga.
"That is true, but you see this monster is only one part of my special little project. The rest of my my project will arrive here very soon and then you'll be in for a real surprise." Said Crimson with a chuckle as he used his magic to hover in the air.
Before Gearga could ask what Crimson was planning Slippy's voice in on her communicator.
"Gearga all those monsters that were attacking various locations in Ooo are all converging on your location!"
Gearga and the rest of the squad looked around to see multiple monsters rushing onto the scene with Peace Protectors chasing after them. Whatever Crimson was planning it was about to happen.
"Now the real fun begin! Time to form Titan!" Said Crimson.
The Giant Goo Skull picked up Heart Beast and placed the monster in it's chest, as Brain Beast crawled onto Giant Goo Skull's head and popped the top of it's skull off before climbing inside and closed the skull, and the Demonic Eye Creatures flew into the Giant Goo Skull's eye sockets giving it evil flaming eyes. The Blood Beast wrapped it's body around the Giant Goo Skull followed by Muscle Monster and Wall of Flesh. In just one minute the monsters had fused into one monster creating a literal body of evil. The new creature toward over everyone and vaguely resembled a human.
"What the heck is that ugly thing?!" Said Greed.
"This is Titan. He is a great fusion of monsters and he will be wiping the floor with you." Said Crimson with a cold chuckle.
"Not today monster!" Said Branka pointing her spear at the monster.
"All units fire!" Ordered Gearga to the Centurions.
"Let the carnage begin!" Laughed Crimson.
Titan sprung into action as the Centurions began to fire at him. The monster raced towards Dakota, Julie, and Lila. Lila saw the oncoming danger and quickly tackled Julie to the ground out of the path of the rampaging Titan. Dakota tried to leap into the air to try and tackle Titan to the ground, but Titan just simply grabbed her by the head and slammed her to the ground, before he threw her at a couple of Centurions and smashed them to bits. Tiki Torch fired a blast of fire at Titan, who countered the attack by firing a big glob of slime from it's mouth that slammed into the hero and pinned him to the ground. Moss Man and Broot used their plant powers to make several roots and vines burst out of the ground and wrap around Titan's legs and body to retrain the monster. This allowed Usagi to jump onto Titan's back and begin to shock the monster with his electrical powers. Circe flew up to the side of Titan's head and unleashed a sonic scream into his ear making the monster roar and pain, as Lapis flew up and transformed part of her wings into enormous arms and began to punch Titan's face and chest.
"That's right! Use Teamwork to beat him!" Cheered Silver Bear as four Centurions flew in and began firing at Titan at close range.
"Seems like your big monster isn't as powerful as you thought." Said Drake looking up at Crimson.
"Oh it's not over yet." Said Crimson.
Usagi let out a startled cry as some of Titan's back flesh suddenly formed a tendril and grabbed him. The tendril slammed Usagi into the ground over and over again, until he lost consciousness and released him. Titan's eyes began to glow before he unleashed two beams of fiery energy at the heroes attacking him. Lapis managed to fly away and avoid the attack, but Circe was hit and sent crashing to the ground with blacken and burned skin and the four Centurions were destroyed. Titan turned his eye beams of the plants that were restraining him and burn them to bits freeing himself. Broot and Moss Man tried to retrain Titan agin, but the monster set Broot on fire with his eye beams and kicked Moss Man through the air and sent him him crashing to the ground unconscious.
"Broot!" Cried Sproket as he ran over to his friend to try and put the fire out.
"Fire extinguisher!" Said Mimi before she used her freezing breath to put the flames out on Broot's body.
"You ok buddy?" Asked Sprocket.
"I...am...Broot." Groaned Broot.
"Hang in there buddy. I'm going to make this freak pay for what he did." Said Sprocket turning to face Titan.
"Time to show these so called heroes, your special abilities Titan." Said Crimson.
Titan pointed his arms forward and his fingers spread out as the finger tips opened and there were several swoosh sounds as something flew from the holes at incredible speed and obliterated ten Centurions sending their remains crashing to the ground. Gearga looked at the destroyed robots in shock as she saw what appeared to be large red crystals among their remains. The crystals melted into liquid and the liquid slither over to Titan and went into his body.
"He was shooting bullets made out of blood!" Gasped Gearga.
Titan let out a creepy laugh as he fired more blood bullets. Gearga turned her skin to stone and raised her big sword up and was able to deflect most of the bullets. The bullets that did get by Gearga's sword, struck her skin, but did little damage. Greed simply used his armor to protect himself. Drake just crossed his arms, and ducked his head as the bullets slammed into him and did a small bit of damage. The six remaining Centurions were destroyed as Dakota got to her feet and charged at Titan. Titan fired blood bullets at the charging Dakota. A few struck her shoulders and gut making her cry out in pain, but she still kept running forward. Dakota reached Titan and delivered a uppercut to the monster's chin sending him reeling back and stoping the shooting. Titan tried to retaliate against Dakota, but Julie and Lila both hit his right kneecap making the monster fall onto it's hands and knees.
Canyon whipped Titan across the face with a water whip as Dakota pounded on him with her fist along with Lapis who had formed some enormous water arms from her wings. Titan roared and managed to force his attackers back as he got to his feet. Rorek fired a magic blast at Titan along with Silver Bear who fired a laser. Peridot flung some metal spheres at the monster as Django blasted with him with an energy beam from his scythe and William unleashed a energy wave from his sword. Drake and Sprocket blasted Titan with fire making the monster roar in pain. Gearga threw a blade geyser on the monster making multiple cuts on it's body. Before Titan could try and retaliate Mimi flew in and froze the monster with her ice breath, freezing it within a big cube of ice.
"Looks like the monster is on ice." Said Greed.
Titan's eyes burned with energy and then the ice shattered into thousands of pieces as the monster broke free. Canyon and Lapis tried to restrain Titan with their water abilities, but as soon as they wrapped their water around the monster's arms, he unleashed a surge of electricity that knocked them both back. Dakota tried to clobber Titan with her fist, but the monster just stunned her with a blast of electricity, before he grabbed the mutant and slammed her onto Canyon knocking both women out. Titan fired a glob of slime at Julie and Lila hitting the two of them and pinning them to the ground.
"Triplicate!" Yelled William as he created two copies of himself and they began to slash and unleash energy waves at the monster.
Titan swung his arms at the flying attackers and as he did this some of the other Peace Protectors attacked him. Greed jumped and swung his claws at Titan's chest leaving scars, Skips slammed his hammer down on Titan's left foot, Branka stabbed her spear into Titan's gut, Silver Bear attacked Titan's right leg with martial arts moves, and Rorek blasted Titan's back with magical energy. The onslaught of attacks seemed to be taking their toll on Titan, who let out a angry roar.
"ANNOYING INSECTS!"
"Did that monster just speake?!" Cried Silver Bear.
"It can think!" Gasped Peridot.
Titan fired beams of fire from his eyes and destroyed one of William's copies before turning his attention to some of his other attackers. He grabbed Greed and hurled through the air and away from the battlefield. Greed flew off into the distance and disappeared. Titan then unleashed a blast of electricity and destroyed the other William copy. Sprocket tried to join in on the fighting, but Titan just blasted him with a large dose of electricity and knocked him out. Titan then grabbed Rorek and hurled him into Branka knocking them two of them out as well. He knocked Silver Bear out with a powerful kick that sent him crashing to the ground a dozen yards away and then he stomped on Skips, until he was bloodied and unconscious. William continued to attack Titan, with his sword, but the monster blasted his sword away with a blood bullet.
"No more flying for you." Said Titan as he grabbed William in his hands and began pull on his upper half and lower half.
SCREECH!
William upper half was ripped from his torso as sparks blew from both halves! Titan dropped the android and turned to the six remaining fighters.
"Lapis we have to fuse now!" Cried Peridot.
Lapis nodded and began to heads towards Peridot to do the dance, but Titan blasted her with lightning and made her poof into a cloud of blue smoke leaving nothing, but her gemstone behind.
"Lapis!" Cried Peridot as she ran over and picked the gemstone up.
Mimi stared at what happened to Lapis in horror as a deep burning rage began to feel her mind and the Devil Essence spoke.
"Give into the rage child! Use it to destroy your enemy!"
Mimi's skin turned bright red as she let out a roar and flung herself at Titan. She slammed into the monster's gut and knocked the air out of him before she flung him up into the air above. Mimi flew up and began to punch Titan in the face a couple of times before she grabbed him and slammed him into the ground, where she proceeded to punch him some more, until Peridot cried out for her to stop.
"Mimi stop! This isn't you! That Devil Essence is taking advantage of you! Lapis is going to be ok. Just calm down."
Mimi looked over at Peridot as her rage began to die down and her skin began to return to it's normal color.
"Curses! I was so close!" Cried the Devil Essence.
It seemed like Titan was down for the count, but then he grabbed Mimi and slammed her into the ground over and over again a couple dozen times before he dropped her to the ground and turned to face Gearga, Drake, and Django. Peridot ran over to a barely conscious Mimi to tend to her injuries.
"Time to put a stop to this!" Yelled Drake as he changed into his dragon form and stood as the same size as Titan.
Gearga turned on her stone skin and the three heroes rushed at Titan. Drake and Titan locked arms and began to grapple with one another. The dragon attempted to blast Titan with a pointblank blast of fire as Gearga and Django ran up his back towards his shoulders intending to jump off of them and attack them with their blades. Titan fired a glob of slime into Drake's mouth stoping his attack and as Gearga and Django jumped off of Drake's shoulders the skin on Titan's stretched and turned into tendrils and swatted the heroes out of the air and to the ground. Drake headbutted Titan breaking the grapple and sending the monster reeling back. Titan roared as he fired beams of fiery energy at Drake and knocked him to the ground. The monster then began to fire blasts of lightning at Drake, until Gearga hit him with a Blade Geyser and knocked him to the ground. As Titan began to get up Django jumped at him with his scythe intending to decapitate the monster. Titan just barely managed to move out of the way of the attack and received a large cut on the left side of his neck that began bleeding. Django leaped at Titan again intending to try and cut his head off, but Titan fired a blood bullet from his finger that struck Django in the chest cracking some of his ribs and sending him crashing to the ground.
"Inferno!" Yelled Gearga as she activated her fire powers and leaped at Titan with a roar.
Gearga swiped Titan's chest with her sword and opened up a large wound on the monster's chest making him scream in pain and rage. Titan fired his fiery eye beams at Gearga only to have them battered to the side. He fired a glob of slime at Gearga, but she dodged that and sliced at his right arm opening a wound on that. Titan snarled in rage as he fired a burst of electricity at Gearga and knocked her back, but before he could press forward Drake came charging in from the side and punched Titan in the face sending him reeling back. Drake let out a roar as he and Titan charged at one another and punched each other in the face sending both fighters crashing to the ground. Titan scrambled to his feet and faced Drake who was already back on his feet with Gearga and Django by his side. They were going to go at it again, but Crimson spoke and stopped the fight.
"That's quite enough Titan. I see large number of reinforcements coming our way and though I feel like you can take a large number of them down, I rather not risk losing you at this point. We shall withdraw for now, but you did an excellent job. You crushed several Peace Protectors bodies as well as their spirits. Nicely done. I'm very pleased." Said Crimson.
"Thank you master." Said Titan.
"I bid you all farewell. This has truly been a wonderful day that I will treasure for eternity. Until we meet again." Said Crimson as he and Titan vanished in a flash of light.
People from the Candy Kingdom and Ice Kingdom arrived on the scene to tend to the injured heroes and though none of them had been killed there was a great sense of defeat among several members of the Peace Protectors. It was a dark day for Ooo as word of the fight had spread. Gearga vowed she would restore confidence in her team and make Crimson face justice for what he did.
