Chapter 422 Monster Aftermath

At the Peace Protectors's base several snow golems, Safety Bots, gumball robots, Banana Guards, Eliminators, and Wizard Police Officers were gathered on the scene to provide protection and heal the wounded Peace Protectors. Simon, Sea Sorceress, Rattleballs, Tobe, Doctor Princess, Marceline, Lance, Henry, and Lucinda were among the gathered forces helping out with the situation. Tobe, Marceline, Lance, Henry, and Lucinda were mad at themselves for not showing up sooner to help deal with Titan, but Gearga assured them it was ok and they would get another chance to deal with the monster.
The shield around the base was dropped and the metal shutters were raised. Slippy and the other Peace Protectors came out of the base to help with the wounded and take them inside to be looked after.
At the secret lair, Crimson had Titan divide back into his individual parts and had them all go out to get heal and tended to. Sylvester was in his lab looking at a monitor that showed video footage of Titan fighting the Peace Protectors. He copied the footage and placed it on the Internet, where it immediately got tons of views and struck a great deal of controversy in the kingdoms of Ooo.
In Castle Lemongrab the video struck a great deal of excitement among the rulers and faction leaders and soon they were all gathered in the meeting hall to discuss what course of action to take. King sat at the head of the table with Sir Slicer, Gumbald, Bebe, Blargetha, Gnome Leader, Bandit Princess, Toronto, Dr. Blowhole, Monkey King, Puppet King, Sour Ron, King Pistachion, Bearstomp the Bear King, King Worm, and Rat Ring on his right. On King's left were King Rexxtopher, Brother Herman, Cheese Shogun Roquefort, Velma Green the Spider Queen, Doctor Diabolos, Quarry, Cedric, Rani Nagi, Argost, Gavin, Manfred, General Yakitori, and Ridley. The gathered group had all seen the video and some of the leaders wanted to take immediate action. Ridley was the most vocal about taking action against the Peace Protectors.
"You all saw what that monster did to the Peace Protectors. It practically crushed all of them! Now those chumps are just begging for someone to put them out of their misery! With all our combined forces we can do it with ease! This is our chance to remove one of our greatest obstacles in conquering this world!" Said Ridley.
Monkey King, Herman, Bearstomp, Cheese Shogun Roquefort, Doctor Diabolos, Quarry, Cedric, and Rani Nagi cheered in agreement. King looked at the other leaders who seemed to be in deep thought about the situation.
"What do you think Sir Slicer?" Asked King looking at his top general.
"Well the Peace Protectors are most likely weak and vulnerable, but we shouldn't simply consider them as enemies we can easily take down, without some form of consequences." Said Sir Slicer.
"All the really powerful members of the Peace Protectors are greatly wounded. We can take them." Said Monkey King.
"A cornered and wounded animal is still dangerous. Don't underestimate Gearga or her forces. If you do you'd most likely regret it." Warned Sir Slicer.
"We'd probably lose a great deal of our forces in such an endeavor. Not to mention we would risk fully exposing ourselves to the other kingdoms and the Peace Protectors would become martyrs if we wiped them out. The other kingdoms and villages would rally together to oppose us and avenge the Peace Protectors." Said Toronto.
"Well I sent some of my best thief scouts to investigate the Peace Protectors's base and they've spotted several defenders from the Candy Kingdom, the Ice Kingdom, and Wizard City. Simon is among them." Said Bandit Princess.
"Then any attack we launch would be a disaster." Said Gumbald.
The other leaders muttered in agreement except for Ridley, Cedric, and Rani Nagi, who had no knowledge about Simon and the defenders from the kingdoms and Wizard City, but considered them as no threat.
"What threat could one man possibly be to all of us? I'll simply rip him apart and be done with him." Said Ridley with confidence.
"Then you're a dead man." Said Sir Slicer.
"What did you say?!" Snarled Ridley.
"Since you're new to this world, I guess I'll have to fill you in on some important things. Simon is the ruler of the Ice Kingdom and one of the strongest members on the Council of Wizard City. He is possibly the second strongest wizard on the planet and I've witnessed firsthand what he is capable of. I saw him do battle with another member of the Council and Simon unleashed a spell that utterly wiped the floor with his opponent and left him a mess. I have faced many warriors and creatures in my time and I feared none of them, but Simon is a man I fear to face on the battlefield. And you should fear Simon as well and take him as a serious threat." Said Sir Slicer.
The other leaders nodded in agreement. Ridley just looked annoyed and unimpressed.
"So it's agreed on. We will not launch a full scale attack at the Peace Protectors and instead focus on strengthening our forces and coming up with strategies for future attacks and battles." Said King.
The others agreed, except for Ridley.
"I don't care what any of you say! I'm going to gather my forces and attack the Peace Protectors!" Said Ridley.
"Then you and your forces will receive no help from any of us and you will be excommunicated from our alliance." Said King.
"Fine! I don't need any of you losers to win a battle." Said Ridley as he prepared to leave.
"Even if you do manage to succeed somehow the other kingdoms will hunt you down. Including us." Said Sir Slicer.
"Was that a threat?" Growled Ridley.
"I merely stating a possible outcome. The destruction of the Peace Protectors would start a great uproar in Ooo, with people wanting revenge. That would provide Castle Lemongrab with the perfect opportunity to greatly improve our relationships and imagine with the other kingdoms by bringing the killer of the Peace Protectors to justice." Said Sir Slicer with a wicked twinkle in his eyes.
Ridley gritted his teeth in anger. He was in a bad position that greatly annoyed him. Ridley felt confident he could take on the Peace Protectors, but Sir Slicer brought up a valid point about the rest of Ooo coming after him, which would be problematic. He considered attacking and killing some of the leaders and forcing the others to submit to his rule, but that wouldn't really work either since he was in the middle of Castle Lemongrab surrounded by several armies that would attack him and his forces. In the end Ridley had no choice but to simply give up on launching a attack on the Peace Protectors and just bide his time and wait for an opportunity to take control.
"I won't attack." Grumbled Ridley.
"Good." Said Sir Slicer.
"Dismissed." Said King.
The leaders stood up and went to go tend to their respective forces. Cheese Shogun Roquefort took Manfred and Gavin to the side to help with a legal matter. They headed to Javelin Prison where they visited the low level thief known as Roquefort and made him legally change his name to Ro. In exchange for the name change, bail was paid for Ro and Sal and they were freed from the prison.
At the ruins of the Magician Kingdom, Retiz sat in his private quarters looking at a crystal ball that showed the fight between the Peace Protectors and Titan. Retinz was impressed by the fight and it made him more determined to get the magical weapons within the Magician Kingdom's vault to show the rest of Ooo what a big deal he was.
Black Hat and Little Lincoln both made a killing in weapons sell after the video release of the Peace Protectors's fight. The kingdoms were determined to arm and defend themselves.
Up on the moon, Dominator was munching on some popcorn watching a monitor that showed the Titan fight.
"Man I think I'm going to have one hell of a time on Earth, when I go down there." Said Dominator.
At Mount Milky Way Asylum, Jeremy was having Mnemonoid and Loboto speed up the development of the Phantomrider and other psychic weapons. Due to the recent events with the Peace Protectors, Jeremy saw a golden opportunity for himself. The people of Ooo were scared and they needed a new hero to rally behind and Jeremy planned to do just that. With the Phantomrider, Jeremy would become this most beloved person in Ooo.
Back at the Peace Protectors, Greed had returned from being thrown by Titan and was mad to hear that the monster was gone, so he couldn't get revenge on it. Lapis had reformed and was immediately hugged by Peridot and Mimi. Jeff arrived at the base carrying Sam, who ran off to see how Dakota was doing. Peridot filled Jeff in on Mimi's little transformation during the battle with Titan. Jeff became concerned and decided to ask for aid from Marceline and Lucinda. The three of them approached Mimi.
"Hey Mimi, I'm Marceline. We met before at the Ice Kingdom. I'm half demon too, so I kinda know what you're going through. Let me tell you something important. Your father's blood doesn't defy you or determine your destiny. Only you can do that. And if you want to talk about it, I'm here for you." Said Marceline.
"Thank you." Said Mimi.
"Jeff told me that your creep dad put something called the Devil Essence in you and it made you act out before. I can probably remove it, though I might need to do a little research first to permanently destroy it once and for all, so it never bothers you again." Said Lucinda.
"Bright future." Said Mimi with a smile.
Jeff and Lucinda smiled back.
Elsewhere, Gearga was getting a visit from Bismuth, CJ, and Techmo, who had one big question on their mind.
"Why didn't you take us all outside to confront Crimson?" Asked Bismuth.
"I knew there was going to be trouble as soon as Crimson showed up. I didn't want to risk all our people by going out there to confront him. We need to play it smart and reserve our numbers. If we had all gone out there to fight, there was a chance that we all could have been wiped out and there no longer be any Peace Protectors to protect Ooo. I left you all back in the base to carry out the Peace Protectors's legacy incase we didn't come back." Said Gearga.
"We understand chief. We promise to keep fighting to defend both the legacy and Ooo." Said Bismuth with a bow before she and the others left.
Sometime later, after the wounded were tended and William was mostly repaired, Gearga decided to give a speech.
"My fellow Peace Protectors, I'm not going to sugarcoat what happened today. We were faced with a incredibly powerful enemy that bested us. You all gave it your best and managed to inflict a good amount of damage on Titan, but we still lost. Titan was beyond anything we have faced in the past and I'm afraid we have not seen the last of him. That monster was probably the first of our enemy's elite forces. In order to combat this threat we all must train and become stronger then we currently are. It will not be easy and there is no guarantee will succeed, but we won't know until we try. If you feel you cannot do this or fear what may lies ahead then you can walk away. I and no one else here will think any less of you." Said Gearga.
Brandon and Pizza Steve were the only ones that left. The others stayed.
"Everyone focus on healing up. Then will focus on getting stronger together." Said Gearga.
The other Peace Protectors cheered and saluted.
