Chapter 438 Elsewhere Waterfall 3

In Waterfall, Gata, BMO, Fern, Soos, and Heckapoo had just walked out the junkyard and were continuing their journey towards Dr. Cranken's lair, when they heard the faint sounds of someone crying for help in the distance. The group decided to investigate it. They followed the voice to one of the vast lakes and saw a small island out in the distance. On the island there was a tiny yellow lizard monster wearing a black striped shirt being bullied by three ugly looking lizard monsters. There was a tall grey female lizard named Jazz, a muscular blue male lizard named Rhombus, and a big fat brown male lizard named Turbine.
Jazz, Rhombus, and Turbine were laughing as they pushed and kicked the little monster around. The three of them were bullies who enjoyed picking on the weak. The sight angered the heroes and Heckapoo was about to open up a portal to the island so she and the others could go fight the bullies, but someone else beat them to the punch.
The water near the island exploded as an armored figure sprung out and landed before the bullies and their victim. The newcomer was an opposing sight with their grey armor complete with a helmet that resembled a fish with fangs and a red pommel. The stranger was also armed with a spear made out of blue energy.
"Undyne!" Cheered the little lizard monster excitedly.
"So that's the leader of the Royal Guard." Said Gata.
Undyne's spear vanished as she reached up and removed her helmet to reveal her face. She was piscine, anthropomorphic monster that had blue scales and a long red ponytail. Undyne had red and blue fins on the sides of her head, and a pair of sharp, yellow, protruding teeth. She wore red eye shadow on her right eye and had an eyepatch on her left eye.
"If it isn't the captain of the Royal Guard." Sneered Jazz.
"Let the kid go and I'll let the three of you go with just a warning." Said Undyne.
"No can do." Said Turbine.
"You see, we were hired to assassinate you and that's what we plan to do." Said Rhombus.
"I guess Dr. Cranken is the one who hired you lot?" Asked Undyne.
The three lizard monsters nodded their heads.
"Figures, though I thought he would send way better killers after me." Said Undyne as she made her spear disappear.
"You honestly think you can take the three of us on without your spear?" Sneered Jazz.
"Yeah. Figure this would be a good workout for my unarmed combat skills." Said Undyne as she cracked her knuckles.
"As if you actually stood a chance!" Growled Turbine.
Undyne dashed forward with incredible speed and punched Turbine hard in the gut knocking the wind out of him. Turbine's eyes bulged out and he doubled over gasping. Jazz and Rhombus looked at Undyne in shock. Undyne just smirked at the two monsters. Jazz roared as she rushed at Undyne swinging her claws at Undyne. The captain dodged the attacks before she sidestepped a lunge from Jazz and kicked her hard in the back knocking her to the ground. Rhombus roared before he tucked himself into a ball and rolled at Undyne with incredible speed. Undyne dodged out of the way, but Rhombus swerved around and slammed into Undyne's back sending her rolling to the edge of the island.
"Undyne!" Cried the monster kid in alarm.
Undyne got to her feet and faced Rhombus as he rolled towards her again. She placed both feet firmly on the ground and shot both her arms forward at the oncoming monster. Rhombus's rolling form met Undyne's outstretched hands and sparks flew as they met. Undyne gritted her teeth as she managed to hold her own against Rhombus, until he finally stopped rolling. With a mighty yell Undyne threw Rhombus into the air and leaped up after him. Undyne cuffed both her hands together before she slammed them down on Rhombus and sent him flying down and crashing right on top of Jazz, who was just getting up. There was a great crash as Rhombus collided with Jazz and both monsters laid on the the ground in a tangled heap.
"Two down one to go." Said Undyne as she landed on the ground to face Turbine, who had just recovered.
Turbine glared at Undyne before he opened his mouth up and unleashed a blast of green liquid. Undyne dodged out of the way and watched the green liquid hit the ground. The ground sizzled and smoked, which told Undyne that the liquid was some kind of acid. Undyne charged at Turbine, who shot more acid at her. She dodged the shots as she closed the distance between her and her enemy, before she finally reached Turbine and delivered a uppercut to his chin and sent him crashing to the ground in an unconscious heap.
"You beat them!" Cheered the monster kid.
"She really is impressive." Said Gata to her friends.
Undyne smiled at the kid and was fixing to pick him up and take him to the mainland, when her warrior senses warned her of another threat and she turned to face the water. The water began to bubble and swirl. Then a massive being rose from the water and faced Undyne. It was a
gigantic serpent-like monster with a pair of tentacle-like appendages coming out from the sides of it's head. The creature was mostly dark green in color except for some yellow line on it's nose. His eyes were glowing yellow and he also had fangs pointing upwards on the sides of his mouth along with spikes going from his mouth to his chin.
"I am Bootcamp and I shall be the one to kill you!" Boomed the monster.
"Figured those three weren't the real killers Dr. Cranken sent after me. I knew there was someone much more dangerous lurking around." Said Undyne as she conjured up her energy spear.
"Those three were just a warmup for the main event. I must say I'm impressed on how you handled my comrades. You truly are a great warrior, but this is where your story ends." Said Bootcamp before he lunged at Undyne and snapped at her with his jaws.
Undyne dodged out of the way of the snapping jaws and struck the side of Bootcamp's head with her spear, but the attack did very little to harm the monster. The tentacle on the right side of Bootcamp's head struck out and hit Undyne and sent her crashing to the ground. Bootcamp lunged at Undyne again with his jaws, but she rolled out of the way and jumped to her feet. Undyne hurled her spear at Bootcamp and it struck him in the face and exploded! Bootcamp roared in pain and reeled back. Undyne conjured another spear with her magic and prepared to throw it. Bootcamp recovered and spat a large glob of slime out of his mouth, but it wasn't aimed at Undyne, it was aimed at the monster kid!
"Noooo!" Cried Undyne as she quickly dropped her spear and leaped over to the monster kid covering him with her body.
The glob of slime collided with Undyne's back and there was a loud sizzling sound as it met Undyne's armor. Undyne cried out in pain as a bit of the slime ate through her armor and burned her back. The monster kid stared at Undyne in horror and dismay as he saw his hero grimace in pain. Undyne looked down at the monster kid and gave a weak smile.
"Don't...worry kid it'll take more then this to take me down. I'll get us out of this don't you worry." Said Undyne.
"Oh I'm afraid things are about to heat up!" Said Bootcamp before he started to breath large blasts of fire.
The fire covered the island and a flaming circle surrounded Undyne and the monster kid. At first it seemed that Bootcamp intended to simply trap Undyne, but on closer look Undyne appeared to be sweating greatly from the flames hit and began to look incredibly weakened. Gata and her friends gasped as they saw Undyne collapse on her side.
"That monster is using the fire to drain Undyne of her energy!" Cried Gata.
"We got to step in." Said Fern.
"Agreed. Its go time BMO!" Said Gata.
BMO transformed into his mech form and Gata jumped into the cockpit and took the controls. Fern hopped onto BMO's right shoulder and the mech took off using his rockets. Bootcamp was fixing to fire a blast of fire at Undyne, when BMO flew in and punched him in the face sending him reeling back.
"What the heck?! Who are you supposed to be?!" Yelled Bootcamp as he faced his new enemy.
"Just a couple of heroes here to kick your evil monster butt!" Said Gata through BMO's speakers before she had the mech deliver a couple of more punches to Bootcamp's face knocking him back.
Bootcamp snarled and lunged at BMO with his jaws. Gata quickly used her piloting skills to dodge to the side to avoid the snapping jaws. The tentacle on Bootcamp's left side lashed out and struck BMO in the chest knocking the mech back. Bootcamp open his mouth and unleashed a blast of fire forcing BMO to fly away to avoid it.
While that was going on Heckapoo had opened a portal to the island and had jumped through it to arrive on the scene. Heckapoo created a dozen clones, who each made a portal in the water and another portal appear above the fires and Undyne. Water poured from the portals and extinguished the fires, as well as rehydrate Undyne and restore her strength.
"Thanks for that." Said Undyne.
"No problem." Said Heckapoo as she made her clones vanish and she closed the portals.
Undyne made sure the monster kid was ok before looking over at BMO fighting Bootcamp.
"A giant robot! That's so awesome!" Said Undyne with excitement.
"Thanks." Said Heckapoo before she opened up a portal and ushered the monster kid through it.
The monster kid looked at Undyne who nodded. The little guy gave Undyne a quick hug of thanks before going through the portal. Another portal appeared on the mainland and the monster kid appeared standing next to Soos. Soos gave a thumbs up.
Back at the fight BMO continued to fly around Bootcamp dodging his bites and flames and delivering a few punches every now and then. After a few more minutes of this Fern decided it was time to join in on the action. Fern's body began to glow green as he used his own Olympian Power. He leaped off BMO and slammed his right fist into the side of Bootcamp's face knocking a tooth out and sending the monster reeling back. Bootcamp roared in both pain and rage before he unleashed a fire blast at Fern, who was still in midair.
"Aaaaaaa!" Cried Fern in both pain and fear as the fire nearly engulfed him.
Just when it seemed like Fern was going to be burned to nothing a portal appeared and swooped him up. The next thing Fern knew, he was standing on BMO's shoulder agin. Fern blinked his eyes in confusion, before looking over at the cockpit and saw Gata give him a thumbs up. Gata had saved him. Fern returned the thumbs up and gave a nod of thanks.
"I'm going to waste you!" Bellowed Bootcamp as he prepared to launch another fire blast at the heroes.
A portal suddenly appeared above Bootcamp's head and Undyne dropped out of it like a bolt of lightning and stabbed Bootcamp in the center of his head with her spear! Bootcamp screamed in absolute agony as he desperately tried to shake Undyne off, but she stayed firmly on the monster's head. About a minute later Undyne waved to BMO and the others before jumping off of Bootcamp's head and into the water. Gata activated BMO's laser cannons and fired a great beam of energy at Bootcamp.
"Aaaaaaaa!" Screamed Bootcamp as the laser struck him full force.
Bootcamp's entire body was scorched. The monster just sat in the water for a few seconds then it toppled to it's side dead and sank into the water and vanished. On the island Jazz, Rhombus, and Turbine had recovered and had witnessed the demise of Bootcamp.
"They killed Bootcamp!" Cried Rhombus in dismay.
"We have to get out of here!" Cried Jazz.
The three lizard monsters dove into the water and swam away from the scene as fast as they could.
Heckapoo stood on the mainland along with the monster kid and Soos, as BMO, Gata, Fern, and Undyne soon joined them. Gata and Fern got off of BMO and he returned to his normal form. Undyne faced the heroes.
"I thank you all for coming to my aid and helping take Bootcamp down." Said Undyne.
"You're welcome. Glad we could help." Said Gata.
"This failed attempt on my life will surly anger Dr. Cranken, though this means he will be more serious with his next attempt to kill me." Said Undyne.
"Have you and the Royal Guard tried to take this creep down?" Asked Heckapoo.
"We have tried, but Dr. Cranken is locked up tight in a secure fortress guarded by many horrors." Said Undyne.
"Maybe we can help each other." Said Gata before she began to tell Undyne how she and her friends ended up in the Underground, how they got separated from their friends, and what their goals were.
Undyne was surprised by this news, especially when Soos removed his disguise and showed he was human. The Captain of the Royal Guard, briefly considered killing the human to get his soul, to give to King Asgore to break the barrier, but decided not to. These people had come to the Underground with a noble goal and they were willing to help the inhabitants of the Underground. It would be dishonorable to attack any of them, especially after they helped her. If these people could break the barrier and help purge the evil that plagued the Underground, Undyne was will to give them a chance and help them in anyway that she could.
"It looks like we have similar goals. Alright I will help you breach Dr. Cranken's fortress, defeat the creep, and get the info you need to find Valefar." Said Undyne.
"Awesome." Said Gata.
"I just need to make a call for some backup and a ship to get to the island Dr. Cranken's lab is on. Luckily I know just the boat crew, who can help us." Said Undyne.
With that said the little group headed off to another town and the monster kid headed home. The adventure in Waterfall was only beginning and soon two groups were going to end up joining forces.
