Chapter 445 Coliseum King

In Hotland there was the Coliseum of Fools. It was one of the largest structures in the Underground. The Coliseum of Fools was run and controlled by a bug named Hoaxe, who called himself the Wasp King. Hoaxe was a tall bug wearing a red king cloak with white trim and a gold crown with a red gemstone. He had the appearance of a wasp, but in actuality he was a wasp mimic fly.

Hoaxe came from another universe and had a rough life before rising to power. At a young age Hoaxe had been abandoned by his parents and had aimlessly wondered a harsh land, until he came across a place called the Wasp Kingdom, where he became a citizen and later a custodian. Hoaxe started to identify himself as a wasp and he tried to work his up through the ranks of wasp society, but the wasps looked down at Hoaxe for not being a true wasp and they treated him poorly. This filled Hoaxe with great rage and he spent his time training to become a great fighter and a user of fire magic. He also saved up the money he earned to buy a powerful black and gold axe and a magic crown that gave him the power to control wasps through their antenna. With his new gear and a great deal of determination and ruthlessness Hoaxe took over the Wasp Kingdom and made himself the Wasp King.

However even with the Wasp Kingdom under his control, Hoaxe still wanted more. He wanted to become the strongest being on his world and to rule over everything. Hoaxe searched to obtain the strongest magic he could get, but the other kingdoms caught wind of his schemes and they banded together to stop him and take back the Wasp Kingdom. The kingdoms figured out a way to break the wasps free of Hoaxe's power and they managed to free most of the wasps. Hoaxe was forced to flee the Wasp Kingdom with the two hundred wasps he had under his control. The Wasp King and his troops were near some mountains looking for a place to setup a base to reorganize themselves and come up with a plan to take back the Wasp Kingdom, when Hoaxe heard a voice calling out to him from a cave and he went to investigate it. Hoaxe and his troops found a dimensional portal and they decided to go through it.

Hoaxe and his troops soon found themselves in the middle of Hotland. They explored the strange new land and came across the Coliseum of Fools. It was an old structure that was serving as a home for several thieves and other criminals in the area. Hoaxe and his forces beat the criminals and chased them out of the Coliseum and claimed the building as their own. Word of Hoaxe's actions spread through the Underground and many criminals and fighters went to the Coliseum of Fools and pledged their loyalty to Hoaxe and joined his forces.

In the years that followed Hoaxe cleaned and refurnished the Coliseum of Fools and had began to host games and tournaments to gain fame, fortune, and power becoming the most powerful governing power in Hotland. As time went by Hoaxe repeatedly heard the voice that had led him to the portal that lead him and his forces to Hotland. The voice called himself as Polygon Man and he said he was a powerful dimensional and Hoaxe's benefactor who had plans for the Wasp King. Polygon Man helped plan the events at the Coliseum of Fools and provided special prizes to the winners.

Hoaxe at first didn't like the idea of someone telling him what to do, but overtime he grew to trust Polygon Man, since he lead him to this new land and start his new empire. Polygon Man simply told Hoaxe he liked games and Hoaxe was the one who was truly in charge of the games at the Coliseum of Fools, which was fine by Hoaxe.

In the present Hoaxe sat in the throne of his royal booth as he looked down into the arena to watch the campion of the last tournament, Carrera take on some new challengers. The first was a short elderly bug warrior called Zote the Mighty. Zote was armed with a short sword as he let out a yell and charged at Carrera. The champion simply backhanded Zote and sent him flying and crashing into one of the arena walls. Zote slid down the wall and hit the ground groaning. A few servants with a stretcher rushed in, picked Zote up and, rushed out.

Next challenger was a young bug warrior wearing a hood and armed with a tough collapsible shield named Tiso. Tiso looked like a tough fighter as he took up a fighting stance. It was at that time the Axem Rangers' battleship, Blade appeared in the air above the coliseum and dropped one of it's big bladed anchors. The anchor struck Tiso stunning everyone in the coliseum.

"Why...?" Gasped Tiso beneath the anchor before dying.

The Axem Rangers slid down the anchor chain as Jota pulled out a strange green sword and he transformed. Jota gained black eyes with green irises and his hair turned light green becomes more spiky. His scar turned green. Jota wore black and grey armor with green highlights. His feet also turned into jets. On his back was a white halo with detachable spearheads that also doubled as lasers.

Jota flew down to the arena and hovered above the ground as the Axem Rangers landed on the ground and readied their weapons. Carrera raised his fists ready to take on the new challenge.

"Give us the trophy and we will leave, without hurting anyone." Said Jota.

"Never." Said Carrera.

Before either side could rush forward and attack a column of fire shot up between them forcing them back. The fighters turned to see Hoaxe and several of his guards enter the arena.

"Hand over the trophy, Hoaxe." Ordered Jota.

"You dare order a king? A King holds absolute power over his people. He is not meant to serve... He is meant to be served! To command! To possess! To enjoy! That is the privilege of royalty! And it shall all be mine! You will not simply be handed the trophy!" Said Hoaxe as prepared his ax for battle.

Just when it looked like a fight was about to breakout Hoaxe lowered his axe and spoke.

"You know what. I have an idea. We're going to have another tournament and the winner gets to challenge Carrera and if they beat him they get the trophy. You enter one of your people into the tournament and if they win then they get the trophy. It'll save us all a whole lot of time and trouble. What do you say?"

Jota thought about this and nodded his head. He then turned to the Axem Rangers, who exchanged looks and then Axem Black stepped forward.

"I will fight in the tournament." Said Axem Black.

"Good. Now will you kindly remove your ship from my airspace, so we can focus on organizing a tournament." Said Hoaxe.

Jota flew up to the Blade and the Axem Rangers climbed up the anchor chain. The anchor lifted off the ground and the Blade flew away. Hoaxe smiled and went about setting up a tournament that would be a real spectacular.
