Chapter 449 Star Chase

In Snowdin, the Gunslinger Lich was leading his forces down a tunnel that would lead them to Waterfall. As they traveled Toffee went over everything he had witnessed. The Gunslinger Lich wasn't as strong as the Lich himself, due to being a small part of him, but he was still fairly powerful. As for the two heroes, Finn and Phoebe, they were both skilled warriors that had inherited incredible power from gods. Toffee had seen powers like the ones displayed by the two warriors and he knew firsthand they were formidable. He could understand why the Gunslinger Lich would consider them a threat. They would have to be carefully dealt with. Toffee began to make his own plans on how to best deal with his master's enemies as well as Samantha and her little group, who were off playing hero. Behavior like that would not be tolerated in the organization.

The villains walked on. The Gunslinger Lich felt a growing hate bloom inside of him as he thought about his battle with Finn and Phoebe. The fiery girl was the current Fire Elemental and the blonde teen had the power of a goddess that the Gunslinger Lich remembered from long ago, when he was still a part of the Lich. A goddess that the Lich had a special hated towards. The Gunslinger Lich would take great pleasure in killing both Finn and Phoebe. Destiny had drawn them together and the Gunslinger Lich had a feeling that he would see the two heroes again fairly soon.

Elsewhere in Snowdin, Finn and the others had buried the four dead Wizard Cops and had returned to the village to tend to their wounded. They had suffered some loss with the dead cops and Six mutating, taking Ruxxtin's Staff, and flying off with it. Now the group needed to focus on recovering. They had returned to the village and headed to Grillby's to rest, eat, and plan.

Finn was outside Grillby's getting some fresh air. He felt very frustrated about what happened with the Gunslinger Lich. The villain had killed members of the team he was on and had escaped before he could be killed. It felt like a nasty reminder of what was going on back in Ooo. Finn and his allies had repeatedly failed to kill the big villains like the Lich and Crimson and they were no closer to finding them or their lair. The young hero made a vow to himself to put an end to the Gunslinger Lich and to redouble his efforts in taking down the Lich and Crimson.

It was then that Finn's cellphone started to ring and he answered it.

"Finn, it's Gata."

"Gata! Oh am I happy to hear from you! I guess whatever magic Spirit used to interfere with our communication finally wore off. How are you and the others?" Said Finn.

Gata filled Finn on everything that had happened and where she was currently heading. Finn was glad to hear that Gata was doing alright, he was a bit surprised that she joined forces with a group of associates of the Lich's organization, but he trusted Gata's judgement and knew his sister was capable of looking after herself, plus she had friends and allies to back her up if something went wrong. The news about Isaac being kidnapped was alarming, but Gata was on the case and would do everything in her power to reunite the child with Toriel. Finn filled Gata on everything that happened to him and his group, including the run in with the Gunslinger Lich.

"Sounds like you've been busy as well." Said Gata.

"We have. I wish you the best of luck in finding Isaac." Said Finn.

"Thanks bro. Stay safe." Said Gata.

"You too sis." Said Finn before hanging up.

Finn felt happier and less frustrated knowing Gata and some of the missing travelers were doing well. He headed into Grillby's to tell the others the news.

At about the same time Huntress Wizard got a call on her communication crystal from Hunter Wizard, who quickly filled her and the others about his little group's adventure in Hotland and where they were currently at. Huntress Wizard was glad to hear that her boyfriend and the others were ok. Finn quickly filled the others on his conversation with Gata and Brain Wiz suggested that Hunter Wizard's group should meet up with Gata's group at the Lady Lucktopus Casino to combine their numbers and work together to find Isaac. Everyone thought that was a good idea and the information and plan was passed on to Hunter Wizard who agreed with it and hung up.

For now everyone in the traveling group was happy and relaxed. Their friends and allies were ok in other parts of the Underground and they would reunite with each other before settling at to deal with a kidnapping and then they would rejoin the rest of the group. It was only a matter of time before they were all reunited and they were back on their quest to collect the Seven Crystal Stars and find Horror's Hand.

Some of the group were resting and eating in Grillby's and a few were outside strolling and getting some fresh air. Dipper was walking near some woods, when he saw Vivian peering out from behind a tree.

"Vivian?" Asked Dipper heading towards Vivian.

"I'm so sorry Dipper." Said Vivian sadly.

Before Dipper could ask what Vivian was sorry about, Mister Dark appeared from behind and grabbed Dipper sending a tiny bit of magical lightning through his body that knocked him out. Mister Dark put the unconscious Dipper behind a tree and snapped his fingers. Doopliss jumped down from another tree, transformed into Dipper, and headed into Grillby's. The disguised being made his way casually through the restaurant and to the travelers' bags. He located the bag with the two Crystal Stars, grabbed it, and then walked out.

Doopliss made his way back to Mister Dark, Vivian, and Dark Corvo. He gave Mister Dark the bag and the villain opened it to look at the treasure inside.

"Two Crystal Stars. Spirit will be very pleased." Said Mister Dark.

"Yeah." Mumbled Vivian.

"Oh don't feel bad about that child that got knocked out. It was necessary. This is all for the good of freeing our master. Your sisters will be very proud of you." Said Mister Dark.

Vivian just nodded her head and the four of them took off heading towards a tunnel that would lead them to Waterfall.

Several minutes later Dipper was starting to regain consciousness, when he was found by Wendy and Rain, who took him into Grillby's. The boy filled in everyone about his encounter with Vivian and about being knocked out. Finn and the others decided to do a quick inventory of their things to see if anything was taken and soon found out the bag with the Crystal Stars was gone. Finn punched a wall in frustration, but Huntress Wizard raised a hand to get everyone's attention.

"Don't worry. I knew something like this might happen, so I put a tracking spell on the Crystal Stars before they were taken. We can track the stars and the ones that stole them. Who would like to accompany me on this mission?"

Finn, Phoebe, Loke, Viper, Endol, and Merak volunteered for the mission. The others would stay behind and catch up to them later. With that said the hunting team set out to chase the thieves down and reclaim the Crystal Stars.
