Chapter 450 Foul Flowers

(Author's Note: There will be a couple of Ooo chapters and then we will return back to the Underground.)
Over at Black Hat Headquarters, a dangerous new weapon was finishing development. Dr. Flug was in the research and development finishing up the latest touched on a weapon called the Flower of Foulness. The weapon took on the form of a rose with a parasite with the stigma acting as an eye. The Flower of Foulness was capable of possessing a living creature and turned affection into disgust by entering the heart of their victims so it can corrupt them. The weapon did this by connecting to the victim through it's steam in order to control them and makes the victim's eyes glow green.
Dr. Flug carried a glass jar that contained a Flower of Foulness to a cage containing some lab rats. He opened the top of his cage up and dropped the flower into it. The Flower of Foulness latched onto one of the rats and connected to the creature's chest. The rat's eyes glowed green and it began to violently attack the other rats. Dr. Flug pulled out a clipboard and began taking notes. The Flower of Foulness was performing very well. Dr. Flug pulled out a tablet that showed him readings from the flower and the rat. After a few more readings Dr. Flug pressed a button and the flower detached itself from the rat. Dr. Flug grabbed some metal tongs and carefully picked the flower up and placed it in a jar.
"Excellent work Dr. Flug, I'm very pleased with your little plant project." Said Black Hat suddenly appearing behind Dr. Flug.
Dr. Flug cried out in surprise and nearly dropped the jar. He quickly regained his composure and turned to face his boss.
"Um...thank you sir. I'm glad my work pleases you." Said Dr. Flug.
Without saying a word Black Hat plucked the Flower of Foulness from the jar and let it attach itself to his chest. Dr. Flug let out a gasp of horror and he felt his blood go cold as he looked at his master expecting him to get more violent and crueler then usual. The scientist considered bolting from the lab. Black Hat's eyes turned green for a second before turning back to their normal color. The Flower of Foulness looked very confused as Black Hat plucked it from his chest and gave it an affectionate pat before putting it back in the jar.
"Don't feel bad my little flower fiend, you can't corrupt someone as corrupt as me, but I will admit it was a valiant attempt." Said Black Hat.
Dr. Flug didn't know whether to feel horror or relief from this news. Black Hat headed over to a large computer monitor and Dr. Flug followed him. The dark villain pulled up some live video images from drones flying around Ooo.
"We need to give our flowers a real field test." Said Black Hat pulling up an image of the Candy Kingdom.
"Good thinking sir. Their are many interesting beings and life forms we can test the Flower of Foulness on. In the Candy Kingdom." Said Dr. Flug.
"This place as well, particularly this group of individuals." Said Black Hat pulling up another image.
Dr. Flug looked at the image and gulped.
"Sir...do you really think it's wise to test the flower on those people? They're all really powerful and the man they're associated is very powerful and he might come after us." Said Dr. Flug nervously.
"That's exactly why we're doing it. I really want to get under that wizard's skin and the best way to do that is to mess with the people he loves most. Now get to work on creating more Flowers of Foulness and have the drones deliver them." Said Black Hat.
"Yes...sir." Said Dr. Flug as he went to follow his master's orders.
Black Hat just chuckled and smiled.
At the Candy Kingdom a stage had been setup in the courtyard, with a few dozen rows of chairs in front of it. The stage had been setup for Bendy, Alice, and Boris, who were going to put on a show for the Candy Kingdom and start their climb to stardom in Ooo. The crowd was mostly made of Candy People citizens and a few children from other kingdoms. Simon, Betty, Weiss, Eria, Braco, and Neddy were sitting in the front row eager to see the show. Bendy, Alice, and Boris were in a room in the castle preparing for the show.
In Bubblegum's lab, Bubblegum, Chile, Lolly, Drakken, Lobe, Shego, Lumpy Space Princess, Sam, and Dakota were gathered together. Dakota was at the lab to get treatment for her mutation. Chile had studied believed her mutation was treatable, but he lacked the proper tools to treat her in the Ice Kingdom, so he turned for Bubblegum for help. Bubblegum agreed to help and LSP saw the whole situation as a way to boost Bubblegum's public image by videoing the whole procedure. Dakota had been lead into the lab and given a change of clothes to put on. The clothes looked no different from her old ones, but Bubblegum said Dakota was going to need them. Dakota changed clothes and was instructed to sit on a table. Some plugs were attached to Dakota's body and some syringes with blue liquid were injected into. Bubblegum flipped a switch on a machine and the process began.
Dakota felt a buzz go through her being and her body began to shrink down and her skin became les orange and scaly. Her eyes were no longer red and reptilian-like, her hair became more blonde with green streaks, her tail vanished, her hands were no longer claws, and her feet were no longer clawed. Dakota was back to her human self, though her skin did have a lite orange hue and her hair had a few green streaks. Dakota's clothes also shrank down along with her. Bubblegum grabbed a mirror and gave it to Dakota, who looked at her reflection in amazement.
"I'm practically back to my old look." Said Dakota.
"You are and you can mentally trigger your body to change back to your other form." Said Bubblegum.
"Whoa! You're like the Incredible Hulk now! Though I think you're hot no matter which form you take." Said Sam.
"Aaa! Thanks Sam." Said Dakota as she gave Sam a kiss on the cheek.
Bubblegum smiled at the couple and then she looked at LSP who gave her a thumbs up. With that finished the group headed down to the courtyard to watch Bendy and his friends' show.
Bendy, Alice, and Boris were fixing to head out of the castle to begin the show, when they came across a box addressed to them. The trio opened the box and three Flowers of Foulness jumped out at them and attached themselves to their chests. Bendy's eyes turned green along with Boris and Alice's eyes and a wicked and mischievous look appeared on their faces before they all headed to the stage.
Bubblegum and her group took a seat in the front row as Bendy and his friends arrived on stage pushing a cart loaded with food. Bendy had a big grin on his face as he picked two pies up and jumped onto the cart.
"Hello Everybody! I'm the greatest thing in the whole wide world! I'm Bendy the legendary king of comedy and entertainment! I'm here to tell you that you all stink and that me and my friends are claiming this here kingdom as our own! And there's nothing any of you can do about it!" Said Bendy.
The audience was stunned and before anyone could say or do anything, Bendy began to chunk pies and other foods at them striking several members of the audience and causing a good deal of panic and confusion. A few nearby Banana Guards tried to rush the stage, but Bendy and his gang threw eggs at them and sent them reeling back. Boris then rushed the guards and knocked them to the ground, he then took their spears and handed them to Bendy and Alice.
"What's wrong with them?" Asked Betty looking at her husband.
Simon studied the trio of chaotic entertainers and took notice of the strange flowers on their chest. He had a feeling that those were the things responsible for what was going on. Simon was about to spring into action, but Bubblegum beat him to it.
"PAL, we have three troublemakers that need to be neutralized." Said Bubblegum into a watch communicator on her left wrist.
Immediately a couple laser guns popped out of a nearby statue and fired beams of blue energy at Bendy and his crew. The beams struck the troublemakers and they fell to the ground in a heap.
"Are they ok?" Asked Sam.
"Don't worry they were just hit with a stun beam. They'll be fine. Now let's take a closer look to see what's up with them." Said Bubblegum as she made her way to Bendy and his gang.
"Wait!" Cried Lolly as the flower on Bendy disconnected from his chest and leaped at Bubblegum.
Simon quickly blasted the flower in midair and froze it. The flower fell to the ground and shattered to pieces, but while that happened the other two flowers that were on Boris and Alice jumped off and connected themselves to Dakota and Shego!
Dakota and Shego's eyes began to glow green. Shego's hands began to glow green and she began to hurl green blasts of energy about destroying plants and statues in the courtyard and people to run about and scream. Dakota transformed into her mutant form and began to swing her arms about and swat people sending them flying about. A Safety Bot heard the commotion and stomped onto the scene.
"Troublemakers cease your destructive actions and surrender." Boomed the Safety Bot.
Shego responded by throwing a energy blast into the Safety Bot's face! The blast hit the robot causing it to reel back. Dakota rushed the Safety Bot, got beneath it's left foot, and pushed up with all her might. The push threw the Safety Bot off balance and it fell onto it's back. PAL activated some laser guns and tried to neutralize the two women, but Shego took them out with some energy blasts and Dakota ripped some of them to pieces.
"This is bad." Said Braco looking worried.
Bubblegum quickly called for help on her communicator and Liquidator and Bushroot arrived on the scene to help. The two mutants went after Shego first. Bushroot made several roots burst out of the ground to try and wrap around, but Shego just blasted them to bits. Liquidator blasted Shego with a water blast and knocked her to the ground. Bushroot summoned several more roots to shoot out of the ground and wrap around Shego pinning her. The flower on Shego jumped off of her and tried to find a new host, but Bubblegum knocked it out of the air with a gum blast from her hand knocking it to the ground and capturing the creature.
"What kind of flower is this?" Asked Bubblegum.
"I don't know, but it's just evil and foul." Said Bushroot.
"Can someone please untie me?" Asked Shego.
Bushroot freed Shego.
As that was happening, Sam had approached Dakota and was trying to get her to calm down. Dakota just roared, grabbed Sam, and began to scale the castle. She reached the roof of a tower and set Sam down. Dakota began to beat her chest like a gorilla as a Candy Kingdom helicopter flew by. She tried to strike at the helicopter with her claws, but it flew out of range. A Gumball Guardian stomped onto the scene and blew a blue cloud of minty smelling gas at Dakota and Sam. The gas knocked the two out and Simon flew to the roof and zapped the flower as it jumped off of Dakota. The flower froze, fell to the ground, and shattered. The Gumball Guardian picked up Dakota and Sam and carefully put them on the ground in the courtyard.
Simon flew down to the courtyard as Bendy, Alice, and Boris were regaining consciousness.
"What...happened?" Asked Bendy.
"The three of you were possessed by some weird flowers that made you act crazy and we had to knock you out." Explained Simon.
"Flowers...? I remember there was a package we found for us in the castle and it had flowers in it that jumped on us." Said Bendy.
Simon headed into the castle followed by Bubblegum and Braco. The three of them found the box the flowers had come in and Simon found a grey business card with a image of a black top hat on it. Simon scowled at the business card. He had a pretty good idea, who was behind this little attack. Before Simon could say anything to Bubblegum or Braco, his phone rang and he answered it. It was Patience.
"Simon we have a crazy situation in the Ice Kingdom! Marceline and Lance are trying to kill Lucinda and Henry and Lucinda and Henry are trying to kill Marceline and Lance! It's complete madness!" Cried Patience as there was a loud boom in the background.
"Just hang in there! I'll be there soon!" Said Simon before hanging up.
Simon handed Bubblegum the business card and took off flying towards the Ice Kingdom.
