Chapter 467 Lab Destruction

At Dr. Cranken's lair, the combined forces of the Legion of Light, the Doctor's minions, and Blockner's mercenaries were fighting their way through Dr. Cranken's forces and making their way to the main building. Medusa and Marina watched all the fighting go on using a monitor and thought it was time to unleash their own special forces to help with the fight. They each went to a computer and activated one of their personal creations.
"Go forth Uumuu." Said Medusa.
"Time to rock Yuktopus!" Said Marina.
The water near the base began to bubble, before a enormous jellyfish monster rose out of the water. This was Uumuu and it had clear transparent skin with a orange fleshy core that was letting out pulses of electricity. The doors of the lab opened up and out stomped a large strange humanoid creature that looked like a crazy mix of a yak, a duck, a octopus, and various machine parts. This was the Yuktopus and it had orange webbed feet, was covered in yellow fur and feathers, a cannon for a righthand, a large tentacle for it's left arm, machines that formed bagpipe-like formation on its back, long horns on it's head, and a gas mask with a single bionic eye in the center.
(Author's Note: Uumuu is from Hollow Knight and Yuktopus is from Crash Bandicoot.)
Uumuu unleashed several balls of electricity that struck several of the invading bug warriors and killed them. Flame Face, Pedro, and Meduzi pointed their guns at the monster and fired at it. Uumuu conjured up a ball of electricity and hurled it at the trio of mercenaries destroying the bullets and forcing the mercenaries to jump away from where they had been standing to avoid getting hit. A stray bolt did manage to hit Pedro in the head making him cry out in pain.
"Aaaaaaa! Man that hurt!" Cried Pedro.
Flame Face and Meduzi stared at their comrade in shock. For as long as they had known him, Pedro only said his name, but nothing else.
"Did you speak words other then, your name? Asked Flame Face.
"I did! I can say other words now!" Yelled Pedro excitedly.
"Guess that bolt to your head helped you." Said Meduzi.
"Oh there's so much I want to say!" Said Pedro.
Another ball of electricity was thrown and another stray bolt zapped Pedro in the head.
"Peeeedddrrrrrooo!" Cried Pedro in pain as he blinked his eyes in confusion.
"Um are you ok?" Asked Flame Face.
"Pedro. Pedro?! Pedro!" Said Pedro as he tried to say different words, but all that came out of his mouth was his name.
"Guess that shock messed you back up." Said Meduzi.
"PEDRO! PEDRO! PEDRO! PEDRO!" Screamed Pedro as he charged at Uumuu firing his guns and tried to make the monster zap him again.
Pedro quickly realized what he was was doing was stupid as he got his wish. Uumuu fired a big burst of electricity at Pedro that struck him and shocked his entire body! Pedro screamed in pain and spasmed for a few seconds before he collapsed to the ground in a heap.
"Idiot!" Yelled Meduzi as she slithered over to Pedro and dragged him to safety.
Specter Knight appeared in a swirl of shadows and struck Uumuu from behind with his scythe. Before Uumuu could recover Insecto Knight who had been riding on Specter Knight's shoulder in his shrunken form jumped off and grew back to his normal size as he flew forward and struck Uumuu with his sword. The Uumuu flew backwards as it shuddered in pain. Specter Knight and Insecto Knight went after the monster.
The Yuktopus stomped forward and swung it's tentacle arm striking several bug warriors and sent them flying. Mr. Bright fired several fireballs at the monster striking it and making the creature bellow in pain and rage. The Yuktopus let out a roar as the bagpipe formation on it's back unleashed a mighty screeching sound wave that slammed into Mr. Bright and several bug warriors stunning all of them and causing them to fall to the ground. The big monster then pointed his cannon hand at the downed warriors and fired a beam of blue energy at them. The beam struck Mr. Bright and the bug warriors blasting them to bits and instantly killing them.
"No!" Yelled Luminous in dismay at the sight of one of his elite warriors being killed along with several of his warriors.
"Looks like they're bringing out the big guns." Said Tarus.
"Then it's time we bring out our big guns. Boys it's time to combine!" Said Lunar.
Lunar, Tarus, and Merco jumped off their vehicles. Lunar's bike floated in the air and the front half and the back half extended away from each other forming a large V, as some metal stumps extended from the tires. Tarus's tank lifted into the air and split into four parts. Two formed into what appeared to be legs and the other two formed what appeared to be arms. One of the arms was once the cannon of the tank. Merco's drill floated in the air among the other parts. The legs attached themselves to the bottom and sides of the drill, the bike attached itself to the top of the drill forming a chest and shoulder, with the back of the bike as the right shoulder and the front of the bike on the left shoulder. The cannon arm attached itself to the right nub forming a cannon arm and the other arm attached itself to the left nub. A metal head with a red top with a yellow spike in the center and two blue spikes on the side rose up from the top of the drill. Two green eyes lite up on the head and Lunar, Tarus, and Merco turned into beams of light and entered the giant robot that had formed from their combined vehicles.
"Behold our combined might!" Said Lunar.
"We're going to crush you!" Said Tarus.
"You stand no chance against us!" Said Merco.
In the lab, Medusa and Marina stared at their monitor at the giant robot.
"Well that's not good." Said Medusa.
"That's...not a problem. I got this handled!" Said Marina pushing some buttons on her keyboard.
The Yuktopus roared and charged forward and the giant robot charged forward and activated some rockets on the back of it's legs giving itself a speed boost. The two giants slammed into each other and they right into the lab doors and smashed right through them creating a enormous hole! The two fighters crashed to the ground together struggling, until the Yuktopus managed to knock the robot away with it's tentacle. The Yuktopus then tackled the robot through a wall into another room and the two began to exchange blows.
"I did not mean for this to happen!" Yelled Marina as the building shook from the fight.
"I think we might need to evacuate the building." Said Medusa as she quickly gave Dr. Cranken a call on the computer and told him the situation.
"Blast it all! Looks like I have no choice, but to get involved!" Said Dr. Cranken.
"What do you want us to do?" Asked Marina.
"Grab, Grodus, Sammy, and Cyan and get them away from here. I will call you to tell you the invaders have been dealt with, but if you don't hear from me then that means I have killed. If I am killed you and Molly are to continue assisting Spirit and her forces." Said Dr. Cranken.
"Yes sir." Said Marina and Medusa.
Marina and Medusa put the Uumuu and Yuktopus on autopilot and quickly went to collect Grodus and the others.
In another part of the lab Dr. Cranken was with Grodus, who was very angry about the current situation.
"This is an outrage Cranken! First the ambush and now this invasion! I thought you and your forces had a good grip on Waterfall!" Said Grodus.
"And I apologize for these series of unfortunate events Grodus. Apparently the Legion of Light have become much bolder and daring. I would never imagine they would launch a direct attack on my base, but don't you worry I will deal with it. My assistants will evacuate you Sammy and Cyan from here as I personally deal with these invaders." Said Dr. Cranken as Marina and Medusa arrived on the scene.
"Well for your sake you better hope you succeed in doing away with the Legion of Light." Said Grodus as he summoned his few remaining X-Nauts to his side and they followed Marina and Medusa out of the room.
Dr. Cranken let out a sigh as he went to go arm himself and defend the base.
Outside the base the Legion of Light was taking advantage of the massive hole created by the robot and the Yuktopus. Luminous lead the charge followed by Stratos, Mr. Shine, Sol Crusher, Traitor Lord, Six, and several bug warriors. The group entered the base and made quick work of several guards who tried to stop them.
"Go Legion of Light! Seek out the master of this place and any of the Shadow Queen's wretched brood and destroy them!" Ordered Luminous.
Sol Crusher, Traitor Lord, and a few bug warriors split up from Luminous and the others and went one way, while Luminous, Mr. Shine, Stratos, Six, and the other bug warriors went another way.
The Yuktopus and the giant robot were still fighting each other and their fight took them to the vehicle lab. The robot was starting to get the advantage in the fight and had the Yuktopus pinned to a sub and was fixing to fire a laser from it's chest into the chest of it's enemy at point blank range, when several grey metal tentacles suddenly appeared and wrapped themselves around the robot's head, chest, and arms and yanked the robot away and slammed it into some boats.
"What was that?!" Yelled Lunar.
"That would be me." Said Dr. Cranken as he sat at the controls of a giant metal squid.
The squid robot was roughly the same size as the Yuktopus and had a transparent canopy that revealed Dr. Cranken at the controls.
"So the big squid finally decided to show his tentacled face." Said Tarus.
"At least he saved us the trouble of hunting him down." Said Merco.
"You will all rule the day you messed with me." Said Dr. Cranken as he pushed some buttons on his controls.
The beak of the squid robot opened up and fired a laser that struck the robot and sent it flying back and smashing through some vehicles before smashing into a wall. The Yuktopus and the squid robot began to head towards their down opponent.
In another part of the building Marina, Medusa, Grodus, and the X-Nauts had retrieved Cyan and Sammy from the medical bay and where making their way to an escape boat, when they were spotted by Sol Crusher, Traitor Lord, and the bug warriors.
"Kill them all!" Yelled Traitor Lord as he charged forward and began to take out X-Nauts with his bladed hands.
"We must get out of here!" Yelled Grodus.
"You all go! I'll deal with these clowns!" Said Cyan as her hands glowed with energy.
"But sis, your injuries aren't fully healed!" Cried Sammy as she grabbed Cyan and tried to pull her away.
"I might not be fully healed, but I can hold these bozos off and make sure you all escape. What matters now is that you live Sammy. Just promise to continue with the mission and free mother." Said Cyan as she looked down at her younger sister and gently pushed her away.
"I...promise!" Said Sammy with tears in her eyes.
"Good now go!" Urged Cyan.
Sammy cast one last look at her older sister as she fled the scene with Grodus, Marina, and Medusa. Traitor Lord and his allies had just finished off the last of the X-Naut guards, when he turned his attention to Cyan. Cyan let out a roar as she fired lasers from her hands and took down a few bug warriors. Traitor Lord dodged the lasers and raced towards Cyan thrusting his right bladed hand forward and through Cyan's chest!
"One by one, you will all die by the Legion of Light's hands!" Declared Traitor Lord with glee and satisfaction.
"If...I'm going to die...I'm taking you with me!" Declared Cyan as she used the last of her strength to raise one of her hands up and fired a laser right through Traitor Lord's head!
Traitor Lord let out a wet gurgling noise before he collapsed to the ground dead with Cyan still impaled on his arm.
"Nnnnnnnnoooooo!" Cried Sol Crusher in shock at the death of Traitor Lord.
The remaining bug warriors looked at Traitor Lord in stunned silence. A few of them managed to recover and chased after Sammy and the others only to be met by a metal door blocking their way. Sammy, Grodus, Marina, and Medusa had escaped from the lab. A fast moving boat carrying Sammy and the others left the lab and sped away. Sammy cast one last glance at the lab as she thought about the fate of Cyan. It was very likely that Cyan was dead. Sammy's look of sadness turned to one of anger as she vowed silently to herself to get revenge on the Legion of Light.
At the lab entrance, Specter Knight and Insecto Knight were still dodging attacks from Uumuu, while Flame Face and Meduzi shot at the monster. They were all doing little bits of damage to Uumuu, but nothing substantial.
"Man it's going to take forever to take this out!" Grumbled Flame Face.
"Perhaps I can provide you with the firepower you need." Said a new voice from behind Flame Face.
Flame Face turned to see the Fire Elemental mask Py-Ro floating behind him.
"Who or what are you?" Asked Flame Face.
"I'm Py-Ro and I'm going to be the one who can make you into a real powerhouse. With my power you can easily waste that big jellyfish with ease. So what do you say partner?" Said Py-Ro.
Flame Face studied the mask for a few seconds and then he nodded his head.
"Good answer." Said Py-Ro before he attached himself to Flame Face's face.
Flame Face felt a roaring explosion of power go through that felt great. Py-Ro stayed on his face for a few more seconds and flew off. The connection and bond had been made between the two. Py-Ro didn't need to make physical contact to continue pumping his power into Flame Face. He just needed to be close by to do it. Flame Face turned his attention to Uumuu and began to shoot at the monster, but this time his flaming bullets were much larger and they glowed brighter then ever before. The bullets slammed into Uumuu and exploded loudly as they ripped into Uumuu and burned him. Uumuu thrashed around in pain as Flame Face shot it again and again laughing insanely. In matter of seconds Uumuu crashed to the ground scorched and dead.
"Now we're cooking!" Laughed Py-Ro.
Flame Face turned his attention to the remaining guards and began to lay waste to them all! Every guard was instantly burned and killed by Flame Face's violent attack. Specter Knight, Insecto Knight, Meduzi who was watching over the unconscious Pedro, and a few bug warriors looked at the carnage with both disgust and horror.
"I'm on fire!" Laughed Flame Face as he fired his guns into the air.
Back in the vehicle lab, the Yuktopus had stunned the giant robot with it's sound attack allowing the squid robot to grab and restrain the giant robot with it's tentacles. Now the squid robot was holding the giant robot up as the Yuktopus prepared to shoot it with it's cannon. The Yuktopus was fixing to fire, when six crescent blades of energy flew through the air and sliced through the tentacles and freed the giant robot! The giant robot dodged to the side as the Yuktopus fired it's cannon and ended up hitting the squid robot instead sending it flying back and crashing into a wall. The giant robot took advantage of this situation by firing a laser from it's cannon arm into the cannon arm of the Yuktopus making it explode and sending the monster crashing into the ground. The Yuktopus tried to get back up, but the giant robot fired a powerful beam of energy from it's chest that ripped through the monster's chest and killed it.
"Who dared interfere?!" Demanded Dr. Cranken from the squid robot.
"That would be us." Said Luminous as he, Six, Mr. Shine, Stratos, and the bug warriors appeared before the squid robot.
"Nice shooting Mr. Shine." Said Stratos to Mr. Shine who nodded in thanks.
"I'll snuff you all out!" Yelled Dr. Cranken as he fired a powerful laser from the squid robot's mouth.
Luminous, Six, and Stratos managed to dodge the laser, but Mr. Shine tried to stop it with one of his crescent energy blades. The laser destroyed the blade and slammed into Mr. Shine blowing him to bits and killing him. Luminous let out an angry roar as he and Six fired energy beams at the squid robot making it reel back and stop it's attack. Stratos summoned up his giant metal jaws and bit into the transparent canopy ripping it off and exposing Dr. Cranken. Luminous flew at Dr. Cranken and conjured up a blade of light that he swung at the scientist. A second later Dr. Cranken's head flew off and hit the ground a few feet away!
"Dam...you!" Gasped the still living head of Dr. Cranken.
Luminous just looked down at the head in disgust and blasted it to bits with a beam of light.
The battle was over. The Legion of Light had destroyed Dr. Cranken and were now going about destroying the lab. They had won, but had taken heavy casualties with the deaths of Mr. Bright, Mr. Shine, and Traitor Lord. The Legion of Light finished wrecking the lab and joined their allies outside. It was then that Endol and Merak arrived on the scene. They had seen the last bit of fighting happening and had gone to investigate it. Endol and Merak recognized Lunar, Tarus, and Merco who had unfused their robot. Lunar filled his two comrades in on what happened and then they told them about their time with the Gravity Falls explorers and their guardians.
"We had to leave because we had an encounter with Spirit and Smithy and they exposed our connection to the Doctor." Said Merak.
"Wait, so Spirit is here in Waterfall away from her hideout with only a few of her underlings backing her up?" Asked Luminous.
"Yeah and they were fighting a guy named Finn, a archer wizard, a flame girl, and two members of the Royal Guard." Said Endol.
"It seems fate is smiling down at us. We have the opportunity to kill the leader of our greatest enemy. With Spirit out of the way the rest of the sisters and the underlings will fall! Give us the coordinates to where you were fighting and we can snuff out these shadows." Said Luminous.
"Sir are you sure this is a good idea? We just finished a big battle and we suffered some heavy casualties." Said Sol Crusher.
"Don't question my authority! I'm in charge and what I say goes!" Declared Luminous glaring at Sol Crusher.
"Yes sir! Sorry sir!" Cried Sol Crusher.
"Will any of you care to join us?" Asked Stratos looking at the Doctor's forces and the mercenaries.
"We need to return to base." Said Lunar.
"And we have an injured teammate that needs tending to." Said Meduzi indicating the unconscious Pedro.
"I'll come. I'm all fired up and ready to kill." Said Flame Face as Py-Ro floated next to him.
"Alright then." Said Stratos.
With that said the three factions split up and went their separate ways.
