Enraged! Violation of the Sacred Duel!
Little Garden
After the volcano erupts, the fight between the two Giants of Elbaf begins as Dorry and Brogy clash their weapons against each other while blocking and parrying the attacks, causing a shockwave and the grounds destroyed a bit. The wind blew so powerful it causes Vivi, Karoo, Shanise, and Ivan to block with their arms while Luffy looks at the scene with awe. Ventus is watching from above while not getting involved in the crossfire, feeling amazed of the two Giant Vikings fighting against each other.
Dorry and Brogy continues clashing their weapons, but stopped for a few seconds when the Red Ogre pushes the Blue Ogre. Dorry stumbled a few steps back, but recovered his footing as he thrust his sword at him, causing Brogy to jump in midair when he stabs the boulder instead. Brogy raise his axe while descends down towards him as he swung his axe downward, Dorry quickly move his head to block that axe with his helmet, causing the handle to crack as the Blue Ogre counters by headbutting the Red Ogre in the sternum, causing him to grunt in pain while he pushed him further, making the boulder shattered into pieces.
Usopp couldn't help but watch this scene with a stream of tears while taking a step back with amazement as he spoke.
"He...He blocked that with his helmet!" Usopp exclaimed. "It's incredible! A couple of inches of left to right, then it would've killed them!?"
Both Dorry and Brogy stood up while resume the fight as the Red Ogre horizontally swung his axe, causing the Blue Ogre to lean back to dodge but the strain of hair from his beard was cut. Dorry recovered his footing as he horizontally swung his sword, leaving Brogy block that attack with his shield as he retaliates by swinging his axe down which the Blue Ogre blocked it with his shield as well, turning into a standoff.
"What an incredible fight, huh? Everyone of those attacks is aiming at some vital spot, just one slip from either of them and that's it, they're dead." Usopp muttered with astonishment, watching both Dorry and Brogy back away and seeing them getting exhausted.
"These guys have really been fighting to the death for 100 years? That's gotta get old." Nami questions with her eyes widen, but grinned. "This is a good thing. This is our chance to get away. Let's go."
Nami then starts leaving since she doesn't want to watch the fight which she'd rather be heading back at the Going Merry. However, Usopp remained here while watching Dorry and Brogy fight with an amazed expression on his face. Nami stopped as she looked over her right shoulder, seeing Usopp is still watching as she spoke.
"Usopp!" Nami called him.
"Amazing." Usopp muttered with awe, watching the fight.
'Why? I don't remember! GABABABABABABABABABABABABABABABA!'
Those words have echoed on Usopp's mind while watching Dorry and Brogy fight against each other.
"They fight so seriously and they don't even know why." Usopp said, seeing them clash their weapons.
"This fight is getting really annoying." Nami huffed with annoyance.
"Don't you see?!" Usopp exclaimed, earned her attention. "This is an example of a real battle between real men."
"Say what?" Nami asks in confusion.
"Maybe an analogy will help." Usopp answered as he begins explaining. "It's as if they have planted a flag in their hearts that says 'I am a warrior'. This flag is more important than anything, more than their lives even. They can never allow the flag to be destroyed by someone else, that's why they both continued this fight for 100 years."
Dorry and Brogy then clash in between their weapons and shields, turning it into a stand-off while struggling to push each other.
"Do you see it now?" Usopp questions. "This is a proud duel, a legendary fight between two dedicated warriors."
"Yeah, whatever." Nami said with her dismissive tone, not interested watching the two. "Though, warrior stuff doesn't interest me in the slightest. You coming?"
"No, I'm still watching this." Usopp answered without looking at her, leaving Nami wondered why. "This is my ultimate goal, this right here to be a brave warrior like each of these titans. Really though, someday, I'll be a proud warrior of the sea."
Nami then begin starting to get the idea of Usopp's goal, but due to his scrawny built, there's no way the liar would become that strong or brave. She then frowned a bit as she spoke while sitting on a log.
"So, what you're saying is that you want to be a giant?" Nami questions, making Usopp flinched as he rush towards her.
"Moron!" Usopp shouts with white eyes and shark-like teeth. "You haven't listened to single word I've said, have you?!"
"Hey, Usopp, isn't there something that your supposed to be watching?" Nami asks, pointing at the fight as Usopp look at Dorry and Brogy continued fighting, leaving him smiled.
"If there's a village full of warriors like these two, then I really want to go there someday." Usopp stated.
Meanwhile, Ms. Valentines Day uses her Devil Fruit ability as she leaps in midair, floating in the sky to get a better view as she spoke.
"I've got a great view from here." Ms. Valenties Day stated with a laugh.
"They're gonna see you, Ms. Valentine." Mr. 5 warned her. "Now get down here!"
"Oh, don't be so jittery, Mr. 5." Ms. Valentines Day told him, looking at the view. "You see, they're completely absorbed in the fight down there. They won't notice me."
"Just come down already!?" Mr. 5 shouts.
"Okay, okay." Ms. Valentines Day reluctantly complied as she floats down to the ground, lands on her feet.
"Now, behave yourself." Mr. 5 told her. "This is a 200 million berry job here."
"Of course." Ms. Valentines Day replied. "Though, I'm not really crazy about this, what Mr. 3 wants us to do."
"I know." Mr. 5 agrees, walking past her. "Come on now."
"Okay." Ms. Valentines Day complies as she and Mr. 5 head towards Mr. 3's base to inform what they have found out.
While back at the fight, Ventus sniff the air which he recognizes that scent, it's coming from Ms. Valentines Day but that means Mr. 5 is here on this island. How did they manage follow them here is currently unknown and something tells him that it can't be good.
'I thought I smell a rat lurking around here, but she's not alone.' Ventus mentally thought with a scowl, using his Dragon Sight and saw two auras that's very far away in the middle of the jungle area which he's right, there's two Baroque Works agents and apparently, they're walking away. He begins to wonder why, but something is telling him that it's not good.
"Hey Ventus! Get down here! They're gonna see you!" Usopp shouts at the young Dragoon, earned his attention. "Come down here!"
Ventus can tell that Usopp is enjoying watching the fight, but he's also worried that the young Dragoon could get hurt. Even though, he's in the adult form but he's still in the age of teens because of the dragon growth as he lands next to them.
"Ventus, you need to be careful. We don't want you to get hurt." Nami berates him.
"Sorry, but I picked up a scent." Ventus told them. "The Baroque Works are here. I don't know how, but for some reason, they must've followed us here without being scene."
Usopp and Nami widen their eyes with shock, couldn't believe the same Baroque Works agents are here on the island.
"Are you sure about it?" Nami questions. "Cuz' I don't see them."
"Without a doubt and just to let you know, the scent I got are Ms. Valentines Day and Mr. 5." Ventus explains. "But I don't think they're alone."
"Did you pick up anything?" Usopp questions.
"Nothing." Ventus shook his head. "But I've gotta feeling that they're not alone."
Usopp and Nami knew that Ventus is right which they're gonna be in for a fight. Because last time, it's at the Whiskey Peak when both Zoro and Ventus have dealt with the small fry along with Mr. 8, Ivan, and Shanise. Ventus however, have done most of the fight because of his enraged state he's in a few days ago.
Just as when Dorry and Brogy have lost their weapons, both of the Giant Vikings collapse down to the ground. They panted pretty heavily with exhaustion as one of the giants spoke.
"It's safe to say...that we're both starting to get homesick here...huh, Dorry?" Brogy asks, sat up.
"That's why I intend to win this duel of ours...I'm going to beat you and go home to Elbaf...Got that, Brogy?" Dorry counters, sat up as the axe descends down to the ground.
With that, both Brogy and Dorry bring out their battle cry as they raise their shield to bash each other in the face, causing them to grunt.
"73,466 duels..."
"73,466 draws..."
The two Giant Vikings collapses down to the ground and the result of the duel ends in a draw. The Straw Hat pirates, the two former Baroque Works agents, Vivi, and Karoo were completely stunned of the fight. Apparently, the fight is also resulted in a big mess, trees were cut, the ground were cleaved, and the two weapons tumbled down to the ground. Suddenly, Dorry and Brogy then starts bursting out with a laughter for a few minutes. After few minutes of laughter, Brogy spoke.
"Hey Dorry, a couple of guests of mine gave me some alcohol." Brogy told him.
"Drinks? It's been a long while, eh Brogy?" Dorry asks as they laughed again.
Meanwhile at Zoro's side, he heard a laugh that's loud enough to hear which it got his attention as he spoke.
"What was that? Laughing?" Zoro questions, looking at the sky. "First that long strange earthquake and now this creepy laughing sound? What's going on in this place? What kind of creatures live here?"
Though, he doesn't have the answers since there's been many questions about this prehistoric jungle area. He doesn't care as he then spoke.
"Well, that damn cook is still hunting out there. Maybe he'll run into one of those monsters." Zoro said with a smirk as he continues to walk toward the jungle to find something.
Meanwhile at Sanji's side, he also heard a laugh that's loud enough to hear as he spoke.
"Were those bird cries? Because the birds here don't look appetizing, I'll find something else." Sanji said seriously, walking towards the jungle. "We may be competing for big prey, but a chef has to have standards. Doesn't matter how big it is, it's still has to taste good."
Sanji then smirked while looking at the sky.
"Something I'm sure that lousy swordsman doesn't understand." Sanji said.
Meanwhile, Ventus flew towards the other side where Dorry, Luffy, Vivi, Karoo, Shanise, Anna, and Ivan are about to have some discussion which the Blue Ogre laughed as he then spoke.
"That's interesting, so Brogy's guests are friends of yours then?" Dorry questions with a grin, holding two barrels of alcohol. "I saw a goofy looking guy with a long nose, a woman, and a dragon kid here."
"That's Usopp and Nami, they said they weren't even gonna get off the ship. I guess they wanted to have an adventure after all." Luffy stated with a big grin.
'More likely, Brogy grab hold of them and have them at the campsite.' Ventus thought with annoyance, but took a sniff at the barrels of alcohol, notice something is wrong. Anna then notice the expression on Ventus' face, knew that he can tell that something's off about the barrels.
"If they're your friends, then I guess I can thank you too for these yummy refreshments." Dorry thanked them.
They then heard a screeching sound that's coming up at the sky as they look up, seeing the Pterodactyl soaring in the sky. They then turn back to Dorry as one of them spoke.
"So Dorry tell us, does it really take a year for the Log to reset on this island?" Vivi asks with worry.
"Yes, didn't you notice all the mounds of human skeletons that are lying around here? I guess it's hard not to." Dorry answered, looking at the Pterodactyl. "The people who come to this island tend to die before their Logs to reset. Some become dinosaur food, some die from heat, or thrust, or starvation, others are killed because they stupidly attack us. Whatever the case, they all die here somehow. In entire year on this island is seems to be too long, so far, no humans have been able to survive here for the full year."
"What are we going to do?" Vivi asks, feeling deeply worried about Alabasta. "Even if we could manage to last here for a year, who knows what could happen by then. My country could be lost."
Shanise, Anna, Ventus, and Ivan give her a sympathy look on their faces, knew that they can't stay on the island nor wait for the Log Pose to reset for a year.
"She's right." Luffy agrees sadly. "Plus, I get bored here after a year. Isn't there anything else we can do about it, old man?"
"Hmm...We do have an Eternal Pose here, but it's magnetic link is to our home village, Elbaf." Dorry explains. "Basically, that Eternal Pose is what Brogy and I have been fighting for with our duels this whole time. Of course, you can try and take it by force."
"No, that's not what we're looking for. Elbaf is not the island we're looking for, we're heading to Vivi's home called Alabasta." Ventus told him.
"He's right. We just want to get to the island that's right after this one." Luffy added, turned his head to Vivi. "Right?"
"Yes." Vivi answered. "We must stay on the route that's going to lead us to my home. Or else, there's no point."
"I'm afraid they're right." Anna agrees.
"Maybe you can try sailing forward randomly, you may get there eventually. If you're real lucky, huh?" Dorry suggests.
The atmosphere went silent for a few minutes, but it breaks when Luffy burst with a laughter and then spoke.
"Maybe so." Luffy said, laughed again while slapping his knee repeatedly. "We may actually get there."
"GEGYAGYAGYAGYAGYA!" Dorry laughed. "Now that I think about it, someone did leave the island once before his Log has reset."
"And what happen to him?" Luffy asks.
"How should I know that?" Dorry countered with a question, causing Vivi to tremble a bit while Karoo and Ivan tried to stifle their laughs. Anna, Shanise, and Ventus couldn't even help but shook their heads with annoyance, even though it was funny, but entirely.
"I'm sure he was able to get to the next island." Luffy guesses.
"That must be it. GEGYAGYAGYAGYAGYA!" Dorry agrees as he and Luffy laughed.
'What is so funny?!' Vivi mentally questioned with a snarl when her veins popped out of her head, watching the two laughing while hearing Karoo and Ivan burst with laughter. 'I don't understand what these two idiots are laughing about at a time like this!'
Meanwhile on Nami and Usopp's side, Brogy is fixing the axe handle since the old one got broke during the fight. They were wondering what is taking Ventus so long since Nami gave him a simple request. They need an Eternal Pose that has the name of Alabasta. Brogy wrapped the handle around with the leather strap as he spoke.
"A brave warrior of the seas you said. What's that exactly?" Brogy asks curiously.
"I'm talking about you guys. What I really want is to be the two of you someday." Usopp answered with a smile, leaving Brogy confused.
"You want to be a giant?" Brogy asks.
"You hear that?" Nami asks with a teasing smile.
"That's not what I mean!?" Usopp shouts with annoyance but recompose and smiled. "I want to be a great warrior! I want to be brave and proud like you and the others from Elbaf."
Brogy then understands what Usopp means as he then grinned and laughed.
"I see." Brogy said. "You know in Elbaf, even though our lifespans a lot longer than yours are, we still think about how we will die. We know everything we have and everything we are, we'll one day cease to exist, like everything else. But it is worth it to die a true warrior of Elbaf, without sacrificing your pride. That is what we call 'dying with honor'. To die such a great death would be an everlasting treasure, it's what we seek in Elbaf."
"So, pride is your treasure? That's great." Usopp said with awe. "I've decided to learn from you. From now on, I'll call you master."
Brogy is then confused, wondering why would Usopp call him master.
Meanwhile, Dorry was about to drink the barrel of alcohol, but Ventus quickly snatched it from him just in the nick of time as he tosses it up in the air, breathes fire. Suddenly, the barrel of alcohol explodes which apparently, his suspicions are correct. The Baroque Works are here on the island. However, Dorry isn't too happy about him taking the barrel of alcohol. Luffy, Vivi, and Karoo are shocked when they saw the barrel explodes out of nowhere, but Anna, Ivan, and Shanise can tell that Ventus knew something is wrong.
"HEY! WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?!" Luffy yelled with a serious glare. "WHY DID YOU-"
"Shut up and let him explain!?" Shanise and Anna shouts in unison with white eyes and shark-like teeth, bonked his head.
"What I want to know is why did you took that alcohol and toss it in the air?" Dorry questions with a glare.
"I notice something is off about that alcohol you're about to drink. I took a whiff of it, and I recognize that scent from anywhere. That scent belongs to one of the Baroque Works agents, Mr. 5 and Ms. Valentines Day." Ventus explains, leaving Vivi and the others, except Dorry, shocked. "And I don't think they're alone."
"What do you mean?" Ivan asks.
"Both Mr. 5 and Ms. Valentines Day wouldn't stoop so low for using an alcohol for a bomb." Ventus stated.
"You're right, they're not. And I know someone who uses that tactic. He goes by the name of Mr. 3." Shanise told him seriously.
"Huh? Who's this 'Mr. 3'?" Luffy asks in confusion.
"Only the powerful yet most intelligent agent from the Baroque Works." Ivan answered. "He may act smart, but he's full of himself and he's not afraid to show it, either."
"That does sound like someone who would use that tactic to bring dishonor in Elbaf." Dorry said.
"Yes, and I believe Mr. 3 is the only one who'd use that tactic for trying to bring you down with Mr. 5's exploding alcohol." Anna told him, turned her head to Shanise. "Does he have a partner like Mr. 5 and Ms. Valentines Day?"
"He does, his partner's name is Ms. Goldenweek." Shanise nods. "But unlike Mr. 3, she didn't have the Devil Fruit powers."
"What do you mean?" Ventus asks.
"Her abilities are called Colors Trap. It's an ability that she can use her paint to use different colors for changing their behavior." Vivi explains. "Though Ventus, just to let you know, she's only four years older than you."
That got Ventus gasp with shock, making Vivi, Shanise, Anna, Ivan, and Dorry laugh at his reaction.
"GEGYAGYAGYAGYAGYAGYAGYAGYAGYA! Don't worry, you'll get your chance to have a woman in your life." Dorry assures him. "While I am grateful for what you did, but I am still upset that some 'Baroque Works' you've spoken about uses the explosive barrels for trying to kill me."
"Mr. 5 ate the Bomb-Bomb fruit, basically he can turn anything or himself into a bomb." Ivan explains. "And that's not all, Ms. Valentines Day ate the Kilo-Kilo fruit to change her weight as she pleases."
"What about Mr. 3? Did he ate the Devil Fruit?" Anna questions.
"Yes, he ate the Devil Fruit called the Wax-Wax Fruit." Shanise nods seriously. "Mr. 3 is able to produce the candle wax from his body and mold into any shape. But when the wax hardens, it'll be strong as steel."
"I see." Luffy said, begins to understand. "But the problem is, we don't know where and this island is so big we could easily get lost."
Luffy is right about that, and they don't know where the Baroque Works agents could be hiding since they could be anywhere on this island. Dorry can understand what they're saying, and he wants to fight them, but he's still need to win the fight against Brogy. Ventus then takes flight towards Brogy's campsite since they need to know what's happening recently.
Meanwhile, Mr. 3 can hear the bomb explodes which he thinks that the plan is a success, but what they failed to realize that Ventus manage to caught their scent and save Dorry.
"The key to winning any game is to know your opponents state of mind." Mr. 3 explains, pouring some tea on the teacups. "And now we have succeeded in confusing our enemy. They're no doubt wondering about the mysterious bomb that we've delivered and about the identity of their invisible enemy."
Mr. 5 then grab both of the tea as he extends it to Ms. Valentines Day, leaving her accept it by grabbing the tea.
"Our first target was the long beautic giant, Dorry. I know of course that it would be nearly impossible to finish him off, but the damage done to his stomach by the bomb must be considerable." Mr. 3 told them with a smirk, placing his elbows on the table while resting his hands under his chin. "Now, we can sit here enjoying our tea while relaxing and wait for the next duel to start."
"So, we stay in the background and let the giant kill off the injured one?" Mr. 5 inquires curiously, leaving Mr. 3 chuckle.
"Yes, that's exactly right." Mr. 3 answered.
"That's certainly an indirect method." Mr. 5 admits.
"Again, you have to consider your enemy. Warriors like these two operate in much the same way as wild boars, they can intimidating in head-on fight, but they don't have the brains to think beyond immediate circumstances." Mr. 3 explains. "So, why bother going after them directly when you had the intelligence to destroy them indirectly?"
However, Ms. Goldenweek is staring at the teacup filled with tea while just sitting here, leaving Mr. 3 looking at her for a few seconds with annoyance, seeing his partner isn't getting the tea on her own. He then stood up as he spoke.
"Why can't you just get the tea yourself, Ms. Goldenweek?" Mr. 3 asks, grabbing the teacup as he extends it to her while she grabs it.
"And just what are we supposed to do with the Straw Hat gang?" Mr. 5 questions.
"Straw Hat gang?" Mr. 3 repeats with a question mark on his head, realize what he means while the exclamation point shows. "Oh, you're talking about the little brats who found out the boss' secrets?"
He then tosses the sketches of Nami, Luffy, Zoro, and Ventus and the photo of Vivi on the table as he spoke.
"We can start by luring them out one-by-one. The order doesn't matter, really." Mr. 3 told him as he and the three Baroque Works agents look through them. "Let's start with the one closest to my tea-set. I have a personal motto, you know. And that is 'big crimes for your cheap tricks. There are plenty of ways to defeat any enemy or without fighting."
"Hey, Mr. 3, refill." Ms. Goldenweek said.
"Yeah, while you're up." Mr. 5 added.
"CAN'T YOU SAVAGES TAKE SOME TIME TO ACTUALLY SAVOR YOUR TEA?!" Mr. 3 yelled at his fellow agents.
Meanwhile, Ventus begin explaining this situation to Nami, Usopp, and Brogy about what he found out and the Baroque Works agents which they're not too happy about it since Mr. 5 spiked the barrels of alcohol because of Mr. 3 and his tactics.
"So, they're trying to kill Dorry?" Brogy questions seriously.
"Believe it or not, that's how it happened." Ventus told him. "I was lucky that I caught the scent."
"So, do you know where they are?" Usopp asks.
"No." Ventus shook his head, turned his head to Nami. "Also Nami, Dorry had the Eternal Pose, but the magnetic points at Elbaf. Sorry, Nami."
"It's alright, Ventus." Nami said with sigh. "At least we've tried."
Ventus give her a nod with an understanding.
"But that's not important right now." Nami told him, changing the subject. "What we need to know is how the Baroque Works came here?"
"I don't know, but I do know is that they're coming." Ventus stated. "And they're waiting for one of them to win the duel."
"I see." Brogy said, understands what he means. "While I'm grateful for saving Dorry, but I think we can play along and see if the Baroque Works reveal themselves."
"Huh? What do you mean?" Usopp inquires.
"I think what he means is that they're going to fake the duel and one of them pretends to lose the duel while the other pretends to win." Nami summarized, turning her head to Borgy. "Do you think it'll work?"
"Won't know until we try." Brogy told her, laughing.
Though, they're doubting about that plan of his, but the Baroque Works have made their first move which it backfired because of Ventus and his keen sense of smell. Mr. 3 thought his plan worked, but it didn't and now he's planning for the next move while try to lure out the Straw Hat pirates and the two former Baroque Works agents.
Soon as they heard the volcano erupts, the duel between the two Giant Vikings is about to begin.
Meanwhile at Zoro's side, the swordsman heard the volcano erupts which he's disappointed that he couldn't find his prey.
"Well, damn! Guess my time is up." Zoro muttered, but stopp when he accidentally stepped on a baby Triceratops. "Oops, sorry buddy."
Soon as Zoro remove his foot out of the baby dinosaur, it got angry as the baby Triceratops bite his foot in retaliation.
"Ow! Gah, let go! I said I'm sorry! Come on, I don't have time to mess around! Cut it out, you little brute! Seriously, I don't have time for this!"
Zoro tried to shake his foot to get the baby dinosaur off of him, but he got company when the adult-sized Triceratops arrived.
Meanwhile on Sanji's side, the cook also heard the volcano erupts which he's also disappointed for not catching his prey.
"I don't have any big game to bring back and that was the signal. Dammit!" Sanji cursed, treading towards the jungle. "I guess my times up."
However, he's about to be lunch when the saber-tooth tiger is on the prowl, growled as it stalks its prey.
While back on Brogy's campsite, the Red Ogre spoke.
"Well, there's the signal." Brogy told them, stood up. "It's really been active today."
"You're really going?" Usopp asks. "But your wounds from the last battle haven't healed."
"Please, Dorry can't be doing any better than me." Brogy shrugs with a smirk. "GABABABABABABABABABA! A few scratches won't take me out of the duel, that would sure make me a poor excuse for a warrior. GABABABABABABABABABA!"
While on Dorry's campsite, the Blue Ogre stood up while readying his sword.
"That's the signal." Dorry told them. "If this plan worked, then the Baroque Works will show themselves."
"I don't know about this; they might come after us." Shanise points out. "If I'm right, both Mr. 5 and Ms. Valentines Day are coming here. Knowing them, they're still holding grudges against Ventus and us."
"She's right, the diversion might work but for how long? There's no telling." Ivan added seriously.
"Then you'll have to figure a way to slow them down." Dorry suggests with a smirk. "Your dragon friend manage to sniff them out, and I think your friends will do the same for going after the Baroque Works."
They knew that Dorry is right which Anna come up with the idea to stop Mr. 5 and Ms. Valentines Day while Ventus watches from the sky in case if one of the Baroque Works agents decided to make a move.
