Goodbye Drum Island!
Somewhere at sea
Sometime after Dr. Kureha gave them the unusual goodbye present, they all made it back to the Going Merry. Even they sailed out of the island, they all look back at the view of the pink snowflakes that flows down like cherry blossoms. Ventus was actually amazed that the late Dr. Hiriluk invented cherry blossom dust on the island and his last research for over 30 years. It may not look like the cherry blossoms, but it's still amazing.
"Oooooh~!" Usopp said with awe.
"Wow~!" Luffy added with a smile.
"It's beautiful." Vivi states with a smile.
"Yeah." Nami agrees.
"Like a bunch of cherry blossoms." Zoro said with a smile.
Ventus, Shanise, Ivan, Sanji, and Anna smiled at the view, watching the white snow turns to pink like cherry blossoms. Chopper is watching the pink snowflakes flows down from a far distance, watching the image of the island disappears out of sight.
"Hey, do you think Chopper is okay?" Usopp quietly asks. "He's looking a little down."
"Just leave him be, Usopp." Ventus told him. "He was born on this island, and left with a goodbye gift that was made by his father figure who opened his heart."
"He's right, he'll be fine." Nami added with an agreement. "Let's just leave him alone for right now."
"It's emotional time, he's going on his first journey as a man, it's a rite of passage." Sanji states.
"And he's about to leave Drum Island behind for good." Vivi added. "It's been his home his entire life."
"Yeah." Usopp agrees.
"I'm leaving then, both Doctor and Doctrine, my adventure has finally started." Chopper muttered, turns into a determined expression. "Right now...On this ship."
As soon as they sailed out later on, some of the Straw Hat pirates began to party on the ship. Luffy put the chopsticks on his nose, acting silly and dances which it got Zoro, Sanji, Ivan, and Usopp laughing. Of course, Ventus isn't into parties because he doesn't care much about it, Anna doesn't get into parties either along with Shanise, mostly because they don't have interests and rather focus on getting the ship to Alabasta.
"And these cherry blossoms are like party decorations." Zoro states with a laugh.
"Hey come on, Chopper! Snap out of it!" Usopp demands happily when he turns to the reindeer. "You can't just sit there in the daze all night long. you know?"
Usopp then dragged Chopper out of the wooden rail as he placed him on his lap.
"You want a drink?" Usopp offered, extends the mug of alcohol to Chopper, causing him to widen his eyes a bit. Ventus then bonked him in the head, causing Usopp to slam his head on the wooden deck.
"Don't you dare try to give Chopper alcohol!" Ventus yelled at him.
"Yes sir..." Usopp replied with a groan when the bump revealed on his head.
"I take it you're being protective of him?" Anna asks with a giggle, earned a nod from him.
"Ventus is so cool~!" Chopper compliments him with starry eyes.
Ventus sighed, just remembered how Chopper can get sometimes. Nami then walk towards Chopper and spoke which it got them noticed, except Luffy, Sanji, Zoro, Ivan, and Usopp since they're still partying.
"They're a handful. I hate to tell you, but your new friends are about as crazy as they come." Nami told him.
"My...friends?" Chopper repeats surprisingly.
"That's right, these guys can be a real lot to handle, but now that you're one of us, you're gonna have to get use to it." Nami told him, leaving him smiled.
Anna, Ventus, and Shanise turned to Vivi holding Carue, who's freezing in the cold.
"Carue, what in the world were you doing frozen in the river like that?" Vivi questions with worry when Ventus dragged the duck out of the river before leaving. Carue then starts quacking.
"What I want to know is how did this happen while we were gone?" Shanise added seriously, crossing her arms.
"That bird didn't barely says he's slipped and fell into the river. He's a clumsy one." Zoro assumed, causing Sanji to snicker.
"Be quiet, Mr. Bushido!" Vivi shouts.
Chopper approaches Carue when he quacks which the reindeer understands what the duck is saying. He then turns to his new friends and spoke.
"He said, 'That the guy named Zoro was swimming in the river and disappeared.' He thought Zoro was in trouble, so he jumped into the river to help and ended up getting frozen in it." Chopper explains.
"SO THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!?" Nami and Anna yelled at Zoro in unison when they bonked his head, causing him to groan in pain.
"Idiot." Ventus muttered with a deadpan expression.
"So you were really able to understand everything Carue was saying?" Vivi inquires surprisingly.
"Yeas, I'm still technically half-animal by nature. So, I can understand what they say." Chopper explains. "But I'm not the only one, Ventus can understand them as well."
"Eh?! Really?!" The Straw Hat pirates, except Shanise and Anna, shouts in unison with shock.
"Yeah. I taught him how to communicate with animals. He mostly understands dragons, but he understands what the animals are saying." Chopper explains. "Ventus may not talk to animals much, but he can understand what they say."
"If that's true, then why didn't you tell us?" Usopp asks, crossed his arms.
"You didn't ask." Ventus told him, causing Usopp to face fault down to the deck which it got Anna giggled a bit. "And also, I'm still half-dragon by nature. So, it makes sense that I can understand dragons and animals. True that Chopper taught me how to understand them, but it's just to improve for communicating with the animals."
"You and Chopper can talk to animals?" Vivi asks surprisingly.
"Oh wow, Chopper, between your medical skills and talking to animals, you've got some amazing talents." Nami praised the reindeer, leaving him surprised.
"Don't be silly, you jerk! Flattering me like that isn't gonna make me happy or anything!" Chopper exclaims, doing his happy dance.
"He sure looks happy." Usopp and Luffy said in unison.
"Not very good at hiding his feeling." Shanise added with a small smile.
"You'll get use to that part of Chopper." Ventus told her. "And yeah, he's the type who can't hide his true feelings."
"Hey, what did you mean about Chopper's medical skills anyway?" Zoro questions seriously.
"Well, Chopper is a doctor and a first-rate one at that." Nami told him, approaches the reindeer and placed her hand on his shoulder. "Dr. Kureha taught him everything there is to know about medicine."
It got the entire crew, except Anna, Ventus, Shanise, Ivan, and Sanji, gasp in shock when they gathered around Chopper. Of course, Ventus explains everything about Chopper to the three because they wanted to know what happen before they left the island. He told him about the reindeer's dark past, the recent fight against Wapol and his group, which it got them shocked and surprised.
'I figured Sanji already knows.' Ventus mentally thought.
"Impossible! Chopper, are you seriously a doctor?!" Zoro exclaims in disbelief.
"How cool~!" Luffy said with awe.
"No way!" Usopp exclaims in disbelief.
"Really, Luffy, if you didn't know that, what did you think Chopper when you asked him to join us?" Nami questions with annoyance, placed her hands on her waist.
"A talking transforming reindeer monster." Luffy answered simply, crossed his arms.
'Figures, he wants Chopper on his crew because of the transformations.' Ventus, Anna, Ivan, and Shanise thought in unison with a sweat drop.
"Backup food." Sanji added which it got Ventus angry when his veins popped out of his head.
"What...was that...you said?!" Ventus growled with a question, grabbing Sanji and mercilessly beats him into a pulp.
It got the Straw Hat pirates, except Anna, Shanise, and Chopper, really scared when they saw Ventus beats him out of anger. He then turns to his crew, leaving Sanji down to the deck with bloody nose, bruises, and bumps on his face.
"New rule! No one eats Chopper! Or you'll end up that lovesick moron over there! Got it?!" Ventus yelled with his dragon tone, causing his crew to frantically nods with fear. "Good. Now, I'm going to get some sleep. If any of you wake up, it'll be your last."
And with that, Ventus heads down to get some sleep, leaving the entire crew alone which neither of them wants to get him very angry. Chopper then realizes that he forgot something.
"Wait, oh no! I was in such a big hurry, I left my medical bag behind! It had all of my tools in it!" Chopper exclaims with panic.
"Your bag? But isn't this it?" Nami asks, showing the medical bag to Chopper when he noticed it.
"That is my bag!" Chopper exclaims.
"It was in the back of the sleigh." Nami told him.
"When was that?" Chopper inquires.
"Chopper, weren't you the one who packed the sleigh and got it ready?" Anna questions, earned his attention.
Then, Chopper realizes why the medical bag is in the sleigh, Dr. Kureha must've secretly placed the medical bag on the sleigh since she knew that the reindeer is leaving the island to join the Straw Hat pirates to sail out at sea.
"That's amazing." Nami said. "Doctrine must've known what you were planning to do even before you have decided to leave the island with us. What a kind woman."
"Dr. Kureha may not show it to anyone, but she does have heart." Anna added with a smile.
Chopper can only agree to Nami and Anna's statement, looking at the medical bag with a sad look on his face. Unknown to them, Ventus overheard their conversation while sleeping on the hammock with a smile on his face.
'Dr. Kureha, I knew you have a heart, deep down.' Ventus mentally thought.
However, the mood is ruined when Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, and Usopp are partying when the rubber Captain wants them to eat the snot from the chopsticks.
"Those guys, can't they see we're having a sentimental moment here?!" Nami protests with annoyance, pulls herself up. "I'm sorry Chopper. Chopper?"
Nami then looks at Chopper, who's shoving the chopsticks on his nose.
"You too?!" Nami exclaims.
Of course, Chopper is still new to having fun and celebrating when Usopp proposes a toast, Zoro, Ivan, and Sanji are fighting, Carue shoving the food on his beak after got all warmed up, and Luffy goofing around. Ventus is trying to get some sleep because of that noise as he places the earplugs on his ears just to get some sleep. Nami, Anna, Shanise, and Chopper are watching the scene which it was amusing.
"You know?" Chopper said, earned their attention while watching. "They're crazy."
"Well, that's just them being crazy as can be." Shanise points out. "Even if one of us are trying to keep them in line."
Chopper then turns his head to the crew, watching them fighting while making a mess and Vivi tried to help Carue swallow the food when the duck is choking.
"But I never have this much fun ever!?" Chopper exclaims happily.
"Good." Nami said with a smile.
"I propose a toast to our new friend, Chopper!" Usopp shouts happily, raise a mug of alcohol.
"CHOPPER!?"
The Straw Hat pirates, except Ventus, then cheered and begin to celebrate for a new member of the pirate crew.
Winter Island, Castle
While at the castle and the cherry blossom colors have vanished, Dr. Kureha and Dalton watch the Going Merry disappeared out of the sight of the sea. Even though, Dr. Kureha felt sad for seeing Chopper leave with the group of pirates, who saved the island from Wapol and his group. Dalton breaks the silence when he spoke.
"I wonder if they made it off the island yet." Dalton said, wondering if they made it out of the island. "You know that reindeer friend of yours is the First-Rate doctor with the first-rate heart. I'm very glad to have known him."
"Those cherry blossoms of Hiriluks really did lead to something miraculous." Dr. Kureha states with a scoff. "But who'd thought the miracle would be that clumsy reindeer going out to sea with a group of pirates. That kid, acting like he's a grown man all of a sudden."
"I have a feeling he'll make a fine ships doctor." Dalton told her with a smile.
"So, what are your plans now that Wapol is gone from the island for good?" Dr. Kureka inquires with a smile, turns to Dalton which his expression turns into serious and clenching his fist.
"For a long time, I worked as the Captain of the Guard after Wapols tyrannical rule. That's something that I still need to make amends for." Dalton told her, leaving Dr. Kureha surprised. "I was thinking about leaving this country. Trusting the citizens to make a better land for themselves without me here is a reminder."
"I see." Dr. Kureha said, stood up and walk a few steps at the cliff. "Is that what you've decided to do?"
"No." Dalton answered. "I realize that leaving here isn't the way to make up for my past mistakes. This country is rid of its corrupt monarchy, its citizens are preparing to build a new country that's all on there own. I think if I'd stay here, I could find a way to help them build it for the country that's meant to be. Maybe that will help by washing away some of the guilt that I've carried around with me for so long."
"Well, seems to me that you're certainly do possess the strength of heart to take care of this country." Dr. Kureha states with a smirk, turns her head to him.
"Strength of heart is needed to look after a country." Dalton agrees with a smile. "And can be difficult to come by, but I once saw it from a girl who's no more than 10 years old at the time."
Dalton then remembered the time at Mary Geoise for the past eight years ago. Wapol, Chess, Kuromarimo, and Dalton were summoned for the meeting which the corrupt King was tired of going at the meeting for once a year. Dalton was wondering how long will the Drum Kingdom continue like this because of the rift between monarchy and the citizens kept growing. He then noticed the Alabasta King, Cobra Nefertari, along with his two guards walking and approaches for the meeting. Of course, Cobra is well-known throughout the Kingdom for his benevolence and wisdom.
At the meeting, the discussion was about the Revolutionist named Monkey D. Dragon, who's Luffy father, poses a threat to the countries and the world for the next 5 to 6 years. The Kings from the different kingdoms are needed to be aware of Dragon. However, Wapol doesn't want any part of it and doesn't care about the situation, either since he believes that the Drum Kingdom won't fall to Dragon. It then led him into trouble when Cobra scolds Wapol for not taking the whole situation more seriously which it got him enraged.
Wapol, Chess, Kuromarimo, and Dalton left the meeting since the corrupt King didn't even care about Dragon or the King's countries, but what got his attention was Cobra's daughter, Vivi, who's talking with Igaram. Wapol then thought of an idea as he approaches her, intentionally slaps her in the face and saying that it was an accident. Igaram was about to yell at him, but Vivi stops him when she turns around to Wapol with a smile on her face, apologizes to him, much to his dismay. Even Dalton was surprised of Vivi putting a brave face, knew that the World Summit like this where all the Kings from the different countries are gathered intentions to go high, a slightest argument can trigger an all-out war, but Vivi refuse to make a scene. Wapol is unable to accomplish anything with his actions, decided to leave. Afterward, Vivi was seen crying with Igaram, and Dalton saw her crying, knew that the princess of Alabasta would make a great Queen for the Kingdom of Alabasta.
When he finished his nostalgia, Dalton spoke.
"That princess had great strength of heart indeed, and that hasn't changed. She's remained strong all these years." Dalton said, looks at the night sky. "She would make anyone proud."
The 20 MDs gathered around Dalton, been very guilty for what Wapol has done to his people and neither of them would fight back.
"Dalton, please. The desire to care for our country hasn't faded from within us, either."
"Allow us to do something. We want to help build a new country."
Dalton can tell the 20 MDs are very determined to help the people rebuild the country, given them a nod with an acceptance when they turned to the pirate flag.
'Hiriluk, this country will be reborn as you always wished to be. Just like your son, Chopper.' Dalton mentally thought.
"Dalton! You need to hear this!"
One of the villagers rush towards Dalton with a wanted poster on his hand.
"I'd just remembered something important that I forgot to tell you!"
"What is it?" Dalton inquires.
"Take a look at this!"
Dalton then grabs the wanted poster, noticed the image of Luffy that had a 30 million bounty on his head.
"It's him! That's the Straw Hat pirate who helped Ventus defeated Wapol! We're sure of it!"
"You mean he has a 30 million berry bounty on his head?" Dalton asks, turns to him. "Are you certain?"
"Goodness, they're quite a band of rogues, aren't they?" Dr. Kureha said with a smirk, turns to him with a cackle as she walk towards him.
"Where's you find this?" Dalton questions.
"Well, uh, I completely forgot to report this to you, Dalton, I'm very sorry. I guess it all happened about a week ago. A man who seemed to be a random traveler showed up one day over in Robelle Town. Strangely, it was a day without any snowfall."
Soon as the villager explains to Dalton, told him about the traveler who came to Robelle Town that happen a week ago.
"We have no idea where on the island he landed."
"Anyway, he told us something."
"The man said, 'He was hunting down Blackbeard, the pirate who recently attacked our island with his men. However, defeated by someone.'"
"And then, once he realized that Blackbeard have already left, he said, 'In that case, I have one more question, has a pirate wearing a straw hat coming through this area recently?'"
"We didn't know, so, he showed us the wanted poster and said, 'Well, if the guy I describe does show up. Deliver this message: I will wait for him in Alabasta for 10 days and no more.'"
As they get the message, one of the villagers ask a name which the traveler named himself as Portugas D. Ace. Ace told them if they tell Luffy, he'll know who he is. Of course, it got Ace into trouble for not paying the food.
As soon as one of the villagers finished his explanation, Dalton spoke.
"So, he'll be waiting in Alabasta for 10 days, huh?" Dalton muttered, turns to Dr. Kureha when he noticed her looking at the wanted poster. "Excuse me, doctor, but is there something wrong? You look puzzled."
"Tell me something, Dalton, have you ever heard of the man, Gol D. Roger?" Dr. Kureha questions with a smile on her face.
"Gol. D?" Dalton repeats. "Do you mean, Gol. Roger?"
"I guess. Is that what he goes by now?" Dr. Kureha questions again. "From the looks of this, the guy Chopper left this island and headed out to sea with is no ordinary pirate. The Spirit of D. It's still lives, what do you know."
Somewhere at sea
The next day, Ventus, Zoro, Anna, Shanise, Sanji, and Ivan have finished their early morning training, mostly his aerial combat practice and mostly magic to help the chef, before they go do their own activities. Ventus was inside of the cabin, doing some education from Anna and Shanise, Nami usually drew the map, Sanji, Zoro, Usopp, and Ivan are playing cards, Vivi and Carue are inside of the cabin, telling Nami about the dangers of the Grand Line, and Chopper and Luffy are watching the view of the sea at the bow.
"This is amazing, Luffy. The sea seems to go on forever." Chopper states with an excited smile.
"Yeah, it's huge." Luffy agrees. "And pirates are the ones who get to have great adventures on it all the time."
"Incredible. Being a pirate must me really great." Chopper said, but it got their attention when they saw a giant bird flying at the sky. "Whoa, what is that thing?!"
"It's a seagull!" Luffy states with an amazed expression, but guessed wrong.
"No way! There aren't any seagulls that big!" Nami protests when she got out of the cabin.
"Hey! Seagull!" Luffy called the giant bird which it got his attention when the giant bird starts flying towards the pirate ship.
"Ah! It's coming!" Nami shouts with worry.
"See, I was right! It is a seagull." Luffy states.
"THAT'S REALLY NOT THE POINT RIGHT NOW! IT'S COMING RIGHT AT US BECAUSE YOU CALLED IT, YOU IDIOT!" Nami yelled at him with white eyes and shark-like teeth which Luffy isn't listening.
"Oh yay, adventure~!" Chopper said with awe.
The giant bird then swoops just above the bow, grabbing Luffy and causing the water to splash at the bow, making Nami hit the deck. She then noticed Luffy isn't on the figurehead.
"Hey, where'd Luffy go?" Nami asks which it got Chopper noticed Luffy isn't here.
But, they heard Luffy's screaming which he was having entirely too much fun, but failed to realize he was about to be lunch.
"Moron, you were about to become that birds dinner." Nami said with dread, worried about Luffy when Chopper rushed out of the bow, heading towards the back.
"Something horrible is happening, you guys!" Chopper shouts with panic, running around when Usopp places the cards between Ivan, Zoro, and Sanji as they look at them. "A birds eating Luffy! This is no time for playing cards! We need to do something! Luffy is in trouble!"
"Did Luffy ask for help?" Zoro questions, causing Chopper to stop running.
"No." Chopper shook his head frantically.
"Then there's no problem, don't worry about it." Zoro assures him which it's not helping.
"Yeah, but-"
Chopper then looks up at the sky, seeing the giant bird is still holding Luffy with its beak.
"Gum-Gum: Propeller" Luffy stretches his arms, twisting around and grabbing its beak as he then spins around like a cyclone before slamming into the deck, causing them to scream. Luffy then pulls himself out of the giant bird, sits on the deck.
"Hey Sanji, I got some meat for us! Look!" Luffy states with a big grin, but noticed they're knocked out. "Why are you guys sleeping?"
"WE'RE NOT, YOU IDIOT!?" Sanji, Usopp, Ivan, and Zoro yelled at them with white eyes, quickly pulled themselves up.
"You owe me for this, Luffy, I had a really good hand!" Usopp shouts with a glare.
"Oh yeah? Oops." Luffy shrugs with a chuckle.
"Whoa, that's huge." Sanji said with shock, looking at the giant bird.
"Does this mean we can start having a decent meals now?" Zoro asks with a smirk.
"Can we eat it?" Usopp added with a question, worried.
"If it's edible, then yes." Ivan points out, but only guessing.
"Hey, Chopper, is something wrong?" Luffy asks, turns to the reindeer, who's left speechless.
"Well..." Chopper said, wiggle his nose and blushed. "It's just...pirates really...you guys really are...really incredible."
"Why yes we are!" Luffy states as he and the others laughed when Nami went upstairs.
"Hey, listen up you guys." Nami called them, earned their attention. "We'll be landing at Alabasta soon and this is no time to be joking around like a pack of hyenas. Come on!"
"Yes ma'am!" Sanji, Zoro, Luffy, Ivan, and Chopper complies in unison as they head down the stairs.
Ventus, Nami, Vivi, Anna, and Shanise were waiting for them at the deck when they made to the main deck.
"So, what is Alabasta then?" Chopper inquires curiously.
"It's the country where Vivi's father rules." Nami clarifies.
"Yeah, except there's this guy named Crocodile, who's trying to take over the country right now." Usopp added.
"And Crocodile is one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea." Sanji added with as a matter of fact.
"Who are those guys?" Chopper asks.
"They're pirates who were given the authority by the World Government." Nami explains.
"The Government actually supports pirates?!" Chopper exclaims surprisingly.
"Yeah, pretty weird huh?" Usopp nods with a confirm.
"It is, but only for protection. The Government looks the other way in exchange for the cut of their treasure and have them allow to exist." Shanise told him, crossed her arms. "
"That and the Seven Warlords are the most powerful individuals, baby. You see, they go around defeating other pirates." Ivan added. "And that's why the World Government the Warlords. The idea is to have the pirates get rid of the other pirates, which I considered find it ironic."
"I'm really looking forward to meeting this Crocodile guy." Luffy said with excitement, pumping his fist.
"So, Vivi, can you tell us more about Crocodile?" Anna inquires, earned a nod from her.
"Crocodile is considered a hero back home, he helps get rid of the pirates who attacked Alabasta." Vivi explains, turns her expression into serious. "However, his good deeds only appeared good on the surface, he is an evil man. In truth, he's manipulating the citizens of Alabasta to bring about a civil war, so he can take over the country. No one has realize what Crocodile is doing yet, not the people, not even my father."
"Sounds about right, considering that Crocodile was once a pirate before he became a Warlord." Anna states with a ponder.
"Right! Well, this should be fun!" Luffy states with a smirk, pressed his fist against his hand. "All we have to do is beat up that Crocodile guy!"
"Yes, but in order to do that, we have to avert the civil war in Alabasta and get Baroque Works out of the picture." Vivi suggests.
"Baroque Works?" Chopper repeats in confusion.
"Oh yeah, you don't know anything about them, either." Usopp said, scratching the back of his head and earned his attention. "To be honest, I don't understand what's going on with them myself. They have a really complicated system of agents bosses and partners."
"The system is actually pretty simple." Vivi told him.
"Perhaps I'll start explaining." Shanise suggests, turns to them. "First at the very top of the organization is the boss, Crocodile, he's known as Mr. 0. There are a total of 12 agents in one emblem who receive orders from the boss directly. These 12 male agents are operated as part of a pair with the female agent."
"Like Mr. 1 paired with Ms. Double-Finger." Ivan added seriously. "Mr. 2 however doesn't actually have a female partner which he requires on going either solo or with his own crew."
"Mr. 3 is a Candle Man we ran into a Little Garden, right?" Zoro inquires.
"That's right. And his partner is the painter, Ms. Goldenweek." Vivi confirms.
"Oh yeah, that little girl." Nami said, realize who Ms. Goldenweek is.
"And she's only 4 years order than Ventus." Anna added with a sly grin, making Ventus groans with annoyance while Nami, Zoro, and Sanji snickered a bit. Shanise cleared her throat to get their attention.
"Moving on, Mr. 4 is next in line, he's paired up with Ms. Merry Christmas." Vivi explains. "We don't know much more than that about those two though."
"Then there's that snot guy." Luffy states.
"Mr. 5." Usopp corrects him.
"Snot?!" Chopper repeats surprisingly.
"Yeah, his snot is explosive." Usopp told him.
"Actually Usopp, his entire body can be used as a bomb because of his Devil Fruit called, Bomb-Bomb fruit." Ventus clarifies.
"That's right, and his partner. Ms. Valentine, has the Kilo-Kilo fruit powers." Nami added.
"That's the woman who can change her weight whenever she wants." Zoro adds.
"The agents with codenames from Mr. 1 to Mr. 5 are known as officer agents. They each possess one of the Devil Fruit powers and they are only sent on the most important missions." Vivi explains.
"Agents Mr. 6 through Mr. 13 had the job of fundraising, they make money for the organization by heading at the employees at the entrance Grand Line." Shanise added.
"Which it includes you, known as Ms. Monday, partnered with Igaram, who's formerly known as Mr. 8, while Ivan known as Mr. 9 and Vivi, also known as Ms. Wednesday." Anna clarifies, earned a nod from Shanise.
"Hey, what about that weird monkey and chicken pair I ran into?" Sanji inquires.
"That's Mr. 13 and Ms. Friday." Ivan answered. "They're the agents who's the punishment squad. They punish any agent who fails to complete a mission."
"And there are more, under the officer agents are 200 men called billions, and there are another 1800 men under the frontier agents that are known as millions." Vivi explains. "Together, they make up the secret crime syndicate Baroque Works."
"Let's see, 200 + 1800 =-"
"There are 2000 of them?!" Chopper exclaims with shock.
"2000?!" Usopp repeats shockingly.
"Alright, I think I understand!" Luffy states with an excitement, pumps his fist. "Now when are we gonna get to Alabasta so I can beat up Crocodile?!"
"Uh, I don't think you get it at all, Luffy." Usopp muttered, air slaps him.
"If Baroque Works sole objective is to take over Alabasta, then I can guess that must mean..." Zoro states with a smirk.
"The rest of the officer agents as Vivi called them and their subordinates are probably..." Sanji added seriously.
"On their way to Alabasta as we speak." Nami finished their sentence.
"Yeah." Vivi nods in confirm.
"I see. So in that case, we just go beat up Crocodile-"
"Just forget about Crocodile, Luffy. We've got to head to Alabasta first." Anna interrupts.
"She's right, just drop it." Sanji told him.
"Okay." Luffy reluctantly complies as they sail towards Alabasta.
Little Garden
Meanwhile at the Little Garden, Mr. 2 and his crew were looking for Mr. 3 so they can terminate him, but unfortunately, he's nowhere to be found which it got him furious.
"Un, deux, trois." Mr. 2 said, beating up one of his crew with furious look on his face.
"I'm sorry Mr. 2, Mr. Bon Clay sir."
"Would you idiots quit playing around. Dammit! Are you completely clueless? Do you even know who I am?" Mr. 2 questions when one of his crew pulls himself up. "I am Bon Clay, a Baroque Works officer agent! I strike fear into the hearts of anyone who seize me! Hey you, navigator, tell me something.
"Yes, sir!"
"Just that little pee-brain on yours remember what the bosses exact order were?" Mr. 3 questions.
"Yes Mr. 2, the orders were to kill Mr. 3 on his way along the direct route between Little Garden and Alabasta!"
"Okay then, maybe you're not entirely useless, now are you?" Mr. 2 said with a big grin, grabbed his neck and slams him against the palm tree. He then turns his expression into serious. "Taking a direct route means that you travel straight line, doesn't it, navigator? That's why we went straight from Alabasta to Little Garden, isn't that right?!"
Mr. 2 then chokes his crew, causing him to grunt in pain.
"But there's something seems to have gone wrong with the plan, now hasn't it, navigator?" Mr. 2 questions again. "We reached Little Garden without so much as seeing Mr. 3 while on our way here. Now to me, that seems to indicate that you fools missed Mr. 3's ship entirely!"
"No, sir! That can't be true!"
"It sort of sounds like you're questioning my intelligence." Mr. 2 said with a hum, leans closer to one of his crew.
"Not at all, sir!"
"Be quiet, you!" Mr. 2 ordered, lets go of him and turns to his crew. "All we have to do is kill the pathetic Mr. 3! It should be an easy mission and one that we have no excuse to fail! We must complete the mission soon! If we don't then Mr. 1 and his partner will be sent out to make sure I end up dead!"
Though, his crew didn't get what he means, but does make a valid point.
"CLEAR ENOUGH FOR YOU?!" Mr. 2 yelled at them with white eyes and shark-like teeth, causing his crew to panic as he turns around when he placed his hands on his hips and raise his eyebrow. "Now, it you don't want to answer to me, then you'd better get to work! Looking for that Mr. 3."
With that, they then head towards the ship and sail out of Little Garden.
"I want this ship going as fast as it can, you imbeciles!" Mr. 3 demands. "We are heading to Alabasta immediately!"
"Yes Mr. 2, Mr. Bon Clay sir!"
Somewhere in Alabasta
While in the underwater base, Crocodile was informed by Ms. All-Sunday when she told him that pirates were invading Alabasta.
"What's this? Pirates are attacking towns inside the kingdom?" Crocodile questions. "Don't they know this country is protected by Crocodile?"
"Who can tell what they're thinking." Ms. All-Sunday told him with a shrug, crossed her arms. "A country where riots are constantly brewing, maybe considered an easy target."
Crocodile then head towards the door when Ms. All-Sunday turns to him.
"You're going?" Ms. All-Sunday inquires, causing him to stop.
"Naturally, I do have a public duty to uphold." Crocodile told her.
"How very kind of you, sir." Ms. All-Sunday compliments him.
"Yes, I'm a kind man, we Warlords are charge with protecting the public from pirate threats. We are heroes to these people after all." Crocodile states with a sinister grin.
