On New Year's Eve, The McMahons celebrated the new year with a party at John and Sabrina's home; the kids were in the family room watching SmackDown. WWE Thursday night SmackDown kicks off with a look back at the brawl between The McMahons, Cena, Ziggler, and Nikki Bella on RAW. WWE SmackDown intros happened next, followed by a shot inside the version arena in Washington D.C. as the commentary team is Jerry "The King" Lawler, Rich Brennan, and Booker T.

The New Day made their way to the ring, and they had party hats and noise makers too. They hit the ring and began to mock Sin Cara's shoulder injury. Xavier says that New Year's is tier favorite time of year. Every Day is a new day, but New year's Day is a special new day. Big E talks next that New Year's Eve is a time for reflection, celebration, and resolution. Their first resolution is… nobody is their think.

Xavier talks about their resolution as nothing because they are perfect/ Look at them; they are your WWE World Tag Team Champions... It is not them who need a resolution or need to change. It is you, the WWE Universe, who needs to change.

Kofi talks now, in 2015, they were greatness, personified from the dip of their unicorn horns down to the bottom of their winged feet. Yet, they did not win the Tag Team of the Year Slammy. In 2016, nothing was going to change unless you, the WWE Universe, could learn to appreciate greatness; Y'all gonna learns today.

Big E talks are an effort to avoid a catastrophe like the Slammys; they have compiled a list of resolutions for all of you people; that's right, you people.

Resolution number one… Each and every single member of the WWE Universe will be required to wear glasses and hearing aids; children included; you need to see all of this greatness, and you need to hear all of the great, great, greatness.

Resolution number second… The WWE Universe will be required to keep a New Day Journal. They give you a smorgasbord of greatness each and every night. In order to not forget it, you are going to need to write it down. Of course, that is assuming you know how to write.

Resolution number third… Each morning you wake up, you should have a spring in your booty and a song in your heart. That's on is… New Day Rocks.

The Lucha Dragons play music and make their way out to the ring. Kalisto tells the New Day that the WWE Universe knows what they are doing. You are a cute tag team. You deserve each other. The Slammys are for the people.

Sin Cara wants them to show everyone what they can do. So they challenge the New Day to a match right here and right now.

The New Day laugh, and Xavier reminds Sin Cara that he is not hurt; he is injured because of what Big E did on Monday Night. So is this going to be a one-on-three handicap match?

Kalisto tells them they are not alone. They have friends of their own. Since it is New Year's Eve, let's get this party started.

The Dudleys make their way to the ring, and Bubba has a table that says "Happy New Year" on it. Bubba, D-Von, and Kalisto vs. The New Day.

After the match, Bubba brings the table into the ring, and D-Von and Kalisto set it up in the ring. Bubba goes to the turnbuckles, giving Woods a powerbomb through the table.

SmackDown went to commercials as Dudley Boyz and the Lucha Dragons celebrated. When SmackDown returns from the break, Goldust and Tyler Breeze are in the ring as they go at it throughout the match, Goldust with a reverse atomic drop and then a clothesline. Curtis disagrees with Bo's assessment of his year and points out that he was never eliminated in the Royal Rumble. When he was again in 2016, he would be in for two years straight. Then he will wrestle for the title at WrestleMania 32. Bo suggests that Curtis start low by wearing deodorant every Day. Bo gives someone in the back an autograph on their hand, and he tells her not to wash her hand.

Bo keeps walking, Dolph Ziggler stops him, and the WWE Universe boos him. Ziggler tells Bo he has a ResBOlution for him. Why not stop dressing like the New Year's Baby? Bo tells Ziggler, you need to worry about Cena and the McMahon. Bo walks off as Ziggler is fumes mad.

Back to the ring for Braun Strowman and Luke Harper vs. Jimmy and Jay Usos. Harper and Jey start for their team, and they were nonstop action throughout the match Until Jey makes the hot tag and Jimmy comes in and cleans house with a super kick to Strowman, but he stays on his feet. SmackDown went back to commercials; when SmackDown returned from the break, Bo Dallas came out and made his way to the ring; he entered the ring and waited for his opponent. Dolph Ziggler's music hits the fans' boos as he makes his way to the stage, and the boos grow louder as he does his thing and then heads to the ring where Bo Dallas is waiting on him. Ziggler climbs onto the apron and looks at the fans booing him mercilessly. The announcers talk about the brawl between John Cena and Dolph from RAW as Dolph steps through the ropes. Before the match could begin, John Cena's music hit, and the WWE Universe erupted into cheers; Ziggler was not happy that Cena was coming out. John walked out to the stage and greeted the WWE Universe. Ziggler complained to the referee, who told him Cena was on the stage, not at ringside. The referee signaled for the bell, and it sounded.

The announcer talks about Ziggler non- chalant covers. Ziggler gets up and begins arguing with the referee about his count, giving Bo Dallas time to recover; he gets up and waits on Ziggler. Ziggler turns around and runs toward Bo, who catches him with a Bo Dazzler spinning belly-to-belly suplex right into covers for the three counts. Bo rolled out of the ring, and the referee followed him. The referee raises his hand in victory as Ziggler is shocked in the ring.

Cena smirks at Ziggler; as Dallas and the referee leave, Ziggler yells; he exits the ring, runs up the aisle way the ramp, and attempts to attack Cena.

"Ziggler attempt to attack Cena," Booker T said, watching the action.

Cena fought back and unloaded on Ziggler on the stage as WWE Officials came out to separate them.

"Yay!" daddy is beating up that loser," Julian said as they watched the brawl between their uncle and his arch-enemy Ziggler.

"WWE officials and referees are trying to separate Cena and Ziggler," Rich said.

"Good luck with that," King chuckles.

The kids watched the brawl seeing their uncle send Ziggler right into the mini Tron several times. WWE officials got Cena off of Ziggler and then backstage as trainers attended to Ziggler, who is down after rams into the mini Tron. Nikki Bella ran out and over to Ziggler as trainers told her to let me check him.
