Made Chapter 4 early, since I was bored and had nothing else to do and this one just came to me in my sleep. This lockdown is giving all the advantage I need to come up with so many chapters for my stories and they keep piling up in my head, I'm gonna need to find a way to balance all of it when I'm trying to figure out which one to start making first for the day. Well enjoy.
Family of two.
Chapter 4. Rock and Ride
(The Loud House.)
Lincoln and Luna had just finished eating breakfast and now both of them are ready to start the day with something else to do. "Alright Lincoln, now that breakfast is done and it seems Great Grandma Harriet has the dishes covered." Lincoln and Luna sees her in the kitchen, once again making the plates float and get washed.
"Still something we gotta get used to" replied Lincoln. They then go back to talking in the dining room.
"Well, we should get started on today's chores." She then pulls out a list. "I'll handle the laundry, cleaning the bathroom, checking on security and trimming the garden" said Luna.
"I'll be handling the vacuum, dusting, clearing out anything in the fridge and taking out the trash" replied Lincoln.
"Then afterwards we get to clearing out the whole garage" said Luna. "And when that's done then we can meet up with Merris and head to the dealership!"
They both high five and set out onto their chores. Great Grandma Harriet notices this and smiles. "They seem very fond of keeping this place clean and safe, that's nice. Though they can't always be here to clean the place, they can just ask me to do that task now that I have manifested out of the ethereal plane and am now a full body apparition. Perhaps I will suggest them that when the time is right." She then goes back to washing the dishes.
Then she hears a knock at the door. "Who could that be at this hour in the morning?" Harriet finishes cleaning all the dishes and goes to the door. When she opens it Clyde passes through her.
"Lincoln! Luna! I have something important to tell you!" He turns around and see the spirit. "Oh ….. Um, you must be Great Grandma Harriet?"
She then speaks with her echo-like ghost voice. "Yes, I am. Clyde, what is it that is important to want to speak to Luna and her son?"
"Well, I need to tell them in person. It's very urgent" replied Clyde. "Huh, you know I should be scared of you. But I'm not for some reason."
"Is it because of that ridiculous show you and Lincoln seem very fond of? The fake ghost hunter?"
Then Lincoln comes down with the vacuum and Luna comes down with the laundry. "Clyde?" said Lincoln. "What the heck are you doing here?"
"Good, you're both here. I got something important to tell you two!" said Clyde in desperation.
Lincoln puts the vacuum down. "Easy there buddy, let's calm down and (Lincoln realizes.) Did you run here?"
Clyde then uses his inhaler. "I did, and I think I covered a lot of distance doing so. I didn't even pass out or even call my dad's for help."
"You could've taken you're bike dude" said Luna.
This made Clyde realize. "Okay, I should've thought of that. But this is very important! Do you remember the teenage girl who lives across the street from my house?"
Lincoln is confused by this. "Yeah, her name is Teri. We know her from Bobby during the whole cheater incident that you took way to seriously and then I got dragged into as well. Do you have a crush on her now?" Luna snickers at this.
Clyde sighs. "No I don't, this isn't a Lori thing anymore Lincoln. This isn't a joke, it's serious. Her little sister is Darcy! Remember her?"
"Yeah, she was Darcy's best friend in kindergarten" said Lincoln. "What the heck does this have to do with her? Also, I did not know her older sister was Teri."
"Well, when I went out to check on the mail, I saw them come back from having breakfast somewhere and you wouldn't believe who was with them!" said Clyde.
Lincoln, Luna and Harriet are confused by this. "Who?"
"Lisa! She's here, in Royal Woods! Living in the house across the street from where my dad's and I live!" yelled Clyde.
Lincoln and Luna are shocked by this. "What?!" Harriet just sighs.
"It's true! I saw her with them! They seemed very happy" replied Clyde.
"What the heck is Lisa doing here?!" asked Lincoln.
"This is a very unfortunate news for us to even hear. What business with Lisa Marie have to be here within Royal Woods and to be within Darcy's family?" replied Harriet.
Lincoln looks to his mom who did not like hearing this. "Mom, what do we do?" Luna looks to see her son's worried expression. She knows he's confused about this news.
Luna sighs. "Nothing." They were all confused by this. "We do nothing." Luna then sees the worried look from her son. "Lincoln, I know this is our new life and you're not currently on terms with most of the siblings of our past. Let's not mind them if they have their own life ahead of them, obviously Lisa was adopted by Darcy's family which make sense, so I guess Darcy felt bad for Lisa and wanted her to be her close cat twin or something they used to say back then." She then hugs Lincoln. "Let's just, keep our distance from her and try not to let her see or go anywhere near you. Okay?"
Lincoln wasn't sure, school was weeks away and he might run into Lisa in the hallways, but hearing his mom reassuring him that it'll be okay was enough to motivate him. "Okay mom, okay." He then returns the hug.
Clyde thought this was sweet of them, and so does Harriet.
"Well, I should get going now. I don't want my dad's to worry about me not being there when we have to wash the cats" said Clyde.
Lincoln and Luna break the hug and look towards him. "Thanks for the news Clyde, much appreciated" replied Luna.
"No problem" replied Clyde. "Also, I tried to reason with my dad's to try and leave you guys alone whenever they come by and visit. But I think their gonna try and maintain some rules you two might need, I saw and heard them think about it in the kitchen when I woke up."
Lincoln and Luna sigh hearing this. "No worries Clyde, we can handle them."
With that being said, Clyde makes his way out of the house. But then he turns around and looks to Great Grandma Harriet nervously. "Umm, Harriet, sorry I passed through you. It was kinda rude of me."
Harriet smiles. "No need to worry Clyde McBride, you didn't know I was there and things tend to be at an unexpected state. It may be a bit rude, but I am a ghost. I only let people touch me when I feel like it."
Clyde then leaves, leaving Lincoln and Luna back to their chores. Great Grandma Harriet then leave the house and proceeds to check the gutters if they need cleaning. Once again she uses her odd ghostly magic to do so.
This does get the attention from Mr. Grouse and Sandra Merris, they had no idea what was even going on.
(Skip, a few hours later.)
Lincoln and Luna had finished their chores and are both taking a snack break eating sandwiches which were left on the table in the living room by Great Grandma Harriet. "I wonder where she is" said Lincoln.
Luna checks the kitchen and sees her reading the newspaper. Luna then goes back to the living room. "Well, she's occupying herself. Come on, let's watch some TV while eating, afterwards we can go and clear out the garage." She then turns on the TV and Lincoln sits on the couch.
They both eat their sandwiches peacefully, until they see what was on the news. "No way!"
Katherine Mulligan: Breaking news, convenient store owner Flip has been arrested after evidence was found within his store about all the violations and crimes he has committed. His many swindling operations, expired milk being sold with false dates as well as expired chips and other canned goods as well as canned goods that have been contained in cans that have already been used, scratch cards that have been scratched already, the cheese which he …. Puts his feet in and the unsafe conditions of the restrooms.
The authorities already have the evidence they need to send the man for the crimes he committed and the bad management he created and fake ID's as well.
It appears this man's life of business and days of swindling has just gotten himself back into the slammer where he'll be serving the next twenty five years and then following probation and community service, let's hope some old friends of his don't let him walk away first.
As of now Flip's Food n' Fuel will be replaced by the new and now trending Seven Eleven Gas and convenient store. Mayor Davis is now issuing doctors to begin checking on everyone in Royal Woods, since the secret of the Flippies has been discovered and the contents would shock everyone. We have no information on what they are truly made of, and I myself have to get check out. Just in case.
Luna turns off the TV and looks to Lincoln who was now scared. "W-What?!" Lincoln didn't like where this was going, he's been drinking Flippies for a long time. "Mo …Mom?!"
Luna was also concerned now, she herself also drinks that stuff. But her priority was Lincoln, then they hear a knock on the door. Lincoln and Luna rush to it and see. "Dr. Kendrick?"
"Oh, so this is where you two live" said Dr. Kendrick. "Well, I need to inspect you both, to see if what the flippies did to you is causing any damage." He pulls out a tablet and scans them both.
Lincoln then hugs Luna, and she hugs him back. They wait for the results. Dr. Kendrick smiles. "Okay, so the two of you are safe."
They sighed in relief. "Doc, what were in those flippies anyway?" asked Luna.
Dr. Kendrick knows he's not supposed to tell anyone, but he knows how concerned Luna is. "Okay, so it contains some water, melted ice cream, blended birthday cake, cookie dough, lots of sugar, powdered candy canes, a tea spoon of salt, food coloring, oyster sauce, vinegar and coffee."
Lincoln and Luna are both stunned. "And the conditions of taking these things in results in food poisoning" replied Dr. Kendrick.
This was now making Lincoln more scared. "But, thankfully because they are a bad mix all together, they do not enter the system and do bodily damage. Just as long as they are expelled from the body properly into the toilet" replied Dr. Kendrick. "You two are both clean from this, and thank goodness too!"
This was enough to make them happy, then Lincoln recalls some kids who needs to be checked on. "Can you also see if Jordan Rosato, Clyde McBride, Liam Bumpkin, Zach Gurdle and Rusty Spokes are okay? They're my friends and they have been going to Flip's since they were toddlers."
Dr. Kendrick nods. "I will" then he looks to Luna. "Sam and her family are fine, they are also cleaned from the disease ridden drinks."
Luna smiles hearing that. "Thanks for the intel doc."
"Anytime kids" Dr. Kendrick then goes over to Mr. Grouse.
Lincoln and Luna then head back inside to finish their sandwiches. "That was …. That was way too close mom, I thought that … That I … We were, infected or something" said Lincoln with so much concern.
Luna pulls her son close to her. "Well, at least be thankful we aren't. I don't know what would've happened if you got sick from those crazy drinks and food from the store!"
Lincoln then hugs her. "You know, maybe we can see what this Seven Eleven is all about, once we finish our last chore here at home."
Luna kisses his forehead. "That sounds like a terrific idea kiddo." They then go back to eating the sandwiches and then they head to the garage. Great Grandma Harriet watches them leave and takes the plate, she overheard everything and is once again filled with anger. 'Flip! Perhaps I should pay him a visit!'
Lincoln and Luna make it to the garage and they open it. They see so many boxes with random junk and stuff. "Well, we should get to work and have this stuff out of here" said Luna.
"Yeah but where do we put them?" asked Lincoln.
"Storage locker with Vanzilla" they both see Merris arriving. "Need some help?" She then pulls up her sleeves.
Luna and Lincoln smile. "Much appreciated dude" replied Luna. They then get to work in moving a lot of boxes with random useless junk.
They separate the boxes and junk from keep, sell to storage.
They keep some tools, parts for instruments, bike materials and empty gas cans that can be useful and a generator.
They sell off some old hand-me-down clothes and some other old toys. They should clear out the attic when they have the chance too.
Then they get the rest and put them into storage. Old trophies, Lisa's lab tools, Lola's car, Lana's reptile kit, Lucy's poetry notebooks, Lynn's sports gear, Luan's comedy props and Mr. coconuts, Leni's fashion materials and Lori's old chargers.
"So, why do you wanna put some of this stuff in storage?" asked Merris.
"Because the former patrons will wanna come by and ask where their trash is, so I'll tell then where it is and that they have to go get it themselves" said Luna. She then grabs some golf clubs. "But these are going straight back to Pop-pop."
"That depends if he wants them back mom" replied Lincoln. "They might remind him of Lori and bring back some old memories of when things were okay and happy within the family, it could break his heart."
Luna sighs. "Yeah you're right Linc. Maybe I should put them into the attic instead. Pop-pop might ask us where they are and then we'll tell him."
Merris smiles and she puts another box into the trunk. "Smart move there Luna. Well, my trunk has all this junk and the pink car is strapped to the roof of my car." Luna then hands her the keys to the storage locker. "Thanks kid, and since this garage is cleaned out of the useless garbage. What's say we hit the Dealership?"
"Cool, we gotta go and get some stuff and then we'll come back" said Luna. Lincoln heads inside the house with Luna following. Merris grabs a broom and sweeps up some remaining dust on the garage floor.
"Man, the louds really don't know how much space this place has without their trash" said Merris.
(Royal Woods High Rise Car dealership.)
Merris stops her car outside of the Royal Woods High Rise Car dealership. "Well, this is it. You got the papers Luna?" asked Merris.
"I do and I also have the custom license plate made by the officials at the DMV" replied Luna. "And of course my driver's license."
"This is gonna be so awesome!" said Lincoln excitedly. "We're gonna go and pick out mom's car!"
Luna liked seeing him this happy. "Easy there sweetie, don't go too overboard with excitement okay?" They then get out of the car. "We'll see you back in the neighborhood Merris."
"You two have fun picking out the right car, remember that once you found it it's yours to be responsible for. Stick with the choice and learn from it" said Merris. She then drives off to the Royal Woods Storage area.
Luna and Lincoln look to the building where they keep the best and finest cars in town and some of these cars are new and from other countries, Luna and Lincoln were both looking forward to finding the right ride. "You ready for this Linc?"
"This is the car that's gonna be part of this small family, so yeah. Let's rock!" replied Lincoln with happiness.
They both walk towards the large building, they enter and see so many awesome cars everywhere! Unlike the place where Lynn Sr got the van Veronica, this place beats the casual car dealership, this place was meant for the best of the best cars, for those who can afford them. Luna and Lincoln are both lost at what they see, way too many cars to even pick from.
They pass by some Lamborghini's, Mercedes, Ford's, Tesla's, Mitsubishi, Toyota and Camaro's.
"Wow, this place is both cool and scary. It's like a toy store for rich racers!" said Lincoln.
"I'll say, I don't even know which one we should even get" said Luna. "All these cars seem like they were built for speed and looking stylish. How the heck are we gonna find that right ride?"
Then she sees Lincoln stoppin at one car. "Wow!" Luna also comes over and take a look at this beautiful purple Ferrari. The way it's curved, they see inside the fine seats, Luna and Lincoln can see the radio and it has some plugins for cell phones and two seats in the back as well, it looked like it was modified for four seats instead of racing two seats.
"Dude, this … I think this is it, she's the dang one!" said Luna. She then looks to her son. "What do you think sweetie?"
Lincoln is touching the hood and slowly walks around it. "Yeah, she is the one and she is awesome to look at!"
Then the manager arrives, wearing a black suit, red shirt and blue tie along with black shoes. "Hello there, my name is Joseph J. Parker but you kids can call me Joe. Are you kids interested in buying a car?"
"We are sir" replied Luna. "And I think she's the one."
"Ah! The Ferrari 458 Italia, and in custom Purple with black rims, this car hasn't been bought since 2015 but she still runs like a stallion and purrs like a kitten. We also sell the items she needs."
"We noticed she has four seats instead of the normal racing two and she has four doors" replied Lincoln.
"Yes, well this one is custom made for rich families to us, though she is still aerodynamically made for top speeds to that of today's normal racing Ferrari's."
Lincoln and Luna are impressed. They look to each other and they were both at an agreement. Then they look to the dealership man. "We'll take it sir!" said Lincoln and Luna.
"Good, so who is this gift for?" asked Joe.
Lincoln and Luna are confused. "This isn't a gift for anyone" said Luna. "We're gonna be buying the car."
Joe was confused. "Aren't you two a bit too young for this ride?"
Luna then shows him the papers. He reads them and is shocked and impressed, then he sees her name. "You … You're Luna Loud? The girl who became the government approved mom at the age of 15? The one who took in your own brother after the whole family was sent away for child neglect and abuse?"
"The very same one" replied Luna, she then shows him he driver's license.
"She's the best mom I got and I wouldn't wanna trade her for the world!" said Lincoln as he hugs her.
"Wow! Okay, this …. This is a true honor, I guess we can get to the paper work and then see what we can do about a license plate" said Joe.
"Already got it" Luna shows him the custom made License plate. "They gave one to me when I took my test down at the DMV."
"Wow, so I guess we'll get to the paper work then" Joe then heads to his office and gets the paperwork, he then comes back to tell them something. "One more thing, that Ferrari you two have just purchased. She's the only one here, she hasn't been touched since 2015. Many people would rather go for speedy cars with only two seats, the others like her were shipped, she's mostly here for display but having her wait here is kinda sad. She deserves to be driven and not collecting dust."
Lincoln and Luna look to the Ferrari and felt bad for her. "Well, we're glad we got a chance to give her a purpose!" said Luna.
"To be part of a family, our family" said Lincoln.
Joe smiled, he knew this car was finally gonna get a chance to drive out of there. He then hands Luna the papers and she signs them, she has to read them first and she liked the offer on how much.
The Ferrari seems to be at the price of 245,000 dollars, Luna then pulls out a check and signs it. She then hands it to the man and Joe hands Luna the car keys.
"She's all yours you two, and now she'll finally be free from this place and get on the road. Whether she's going fast or for family measures. Have fun you guys" said Joe.
Luna then clicks a button on the keys and the doors open. "Cool!" said Lincoln, he gets into the passenger's seat and puts on buckles up and Luna gets into the driver's seat buckles up and adjusts the mirrors.
They then close the doors. Luna feels the leather seats and then feels the wheel, it was like … Like she was meant for this ride. She can reach the pedals and the stick.
Joe then pushes a button and the main doors open. He then goes back to his office and then grabs a can of gasoline, but this one was a special kind of fuel. Luna sees the gas meter finally at full. "She's al filled up dude!"
Joe closes the gas lid and goes over to Luna at the driver's seat. "Alright, just one more thing to mention. She runs on a new environmentally friendly kind of gas called Allinol, this fuel has been used in Europe and parts of Russia since 2015, and I think you can get some of the gas at the nearby Seven Eleven."
"Thanks for the info dude" said Luna. She then closes the window and turns the key, Lincoln and Luna can feel her come to life with the start. "Oh yeah, that sounds nice!"
Joe stands back and chuckles. "You're clear to go!" He then has a checkered flag and he waves it.
Luna then hits the pedal nice and slowly and her engine and exhaust roar. "Wow! Forget kitten, she roars like a Lion!"
Lincoln chuckles. "Then let's see if she runs like a cheetah!"
"Hang on tight son!" Luna hits the stick shift and hits the gas pedal and they race out of the dealership.
Joe laughs and watches them drive off. "I got a good feeling about them, their bound to have some adventures with that ride!"
Lincoln and Luna race past some rich houses and great speed. "Oh yeah!" they both cheer. They were now clear of that location and Luna slows down a bit and they stop at a red light.
Lincoln and Luna pant. "You … You feeling groovy my wayward son?" Luna sees Lincoln relaxing onto his seat.
"Never … Better …. She beats …. Vanzilla!" replied Lincoln.
Luna chuckles. "She sure is something, I love this car!"
Lincoln also chuckles. "I love her too! She is awesome!"
Luna then has an idea. "How about we go and get some Burpin' Burger? My treat."
"Sure, after that speed zone we went through. My gut is hungry" replied Lincoln.
"Lincoln? Luna?" They both look to their left and see Rick, Jesse and Jordan Rosato looking at them jaws dropped. "Is …. Is this your car?!" asked Jesse.
Lincoln and Luna chuckle. "Yeah, she's now part of our small loud family" replied Luna.
"Now that is one sweet ride! A Ferrari built for racing, and she has four doors! Now that is a family racer!" said Rick.
Lincoln sees the stunned look on Jordan and he chuckles. "You okay Jordan?"
Jordan nods slowly. "This … Is this gonna be our ride to our date?" Rick and Jesse also want to know.
Luna chuckles. "Maybe, just as long as I'm on the wheel." They then see the light turn green. "Well, we gotta go now. Catch you on tomorrow little Rosato!"
"I look forward to our date Lincoln" chuckled Jordan.
"As do I. my love" replied Lincoln, they then drive off to the Burpin' Burger. They do see the license plate of the car: R0CK-0N.
Jordan giggles and blushes. 'He called me his love! Oh my god!' Jesse and Rick also thought it was cute to see their daughter all happy and giddy inside. They then drive off home.
But they didn't know that Liam, Zach and Clyde saw everything. "You fellas saw that right? I'm not the only one seeing Lincoln and his mom in a purple fast car?" asked Liam.
"We did Liam, we did" replied Zach. "Those two will be the talk of the town, and the schools when school does start!"
"And to think, the whole new mom and son thing was making things trend. This one will make headlines for sure!" said Liam in shock still. "That car sure was purty lookin'!"
Clyde was at a loss for words, but he is not going to tell his dad's. The last thing he wants is them going at it with new rules and junk. But he was glad that Lincoln and Luna got some wheels to use.
(The Loud House, night time.)
Merris is in her home, she already gave the locker keys to Great Grandma Harriet and she now awaits the return of Lincoln and Luna, it was already eight o'clock.
Harriet is also waiting for them. She knew they might go out for dinner because of the car they might get so she didn't make anything for them.
Then they see some headlights coming. 'They're back!' Merris looks out the window and sees a Ferrari, a purple Ferrari. She's then shocked when she sees it go to the drive way of the loud house and park itself. 'That's the car?! Oh my god! What the heck?!'
Luna comes out and closes the door, she then goes over to the passenger seat and pulls out Lincoln who is fast asleep and has some burger sauce on his face. She then wipes his face with a napkin and carries him out and then closes the door and she turns on the security on the car.
She then smiles and kisses Lincoln's forehead and heads into the house. Looks like they both had a fast and awesome time with the car.
Harriet is shocked by this new and fast looking car, she opens the door for them. Luna comes in with her sleeping son. "We had fun today and yes that is the family car now." Harriet just smiles.
Luna then carries her son up to the room, Harriet then turns off all the house lights. At least they both had a good time with the car, and they will for more to come.
Lincoln and Luna had a lot of explaining to do to their friends, but Lincoln was looking forward to one thing. His upcoming date with Jordan Rosato, it could be the start of something romantic for the two elven year olds.
A/N: I thought it was a good time to introduce the car of Luna Loud. She deserves this, I had to do another search on a purple Ferrari, since it suits her and goes well with the future aftermath. You guys wanna know what it looks like, just search for Purple Ferrari 458 Italia, with black rims, the original one only has two seats so I made this one more family nature with four seats and four doors, just imagine it. I also added the fact about Lisa being adopted into Darcy's family, there could be some incidents when I make the return to school chapter soon. Coming next, Date night.
