Continuing from what happened last chapter, this is also going to be emotional and chances there will be a silver lining to it as well. Enjoy reading folks.

Chapter 17: Sharp comfort.
(The Loud House.)
Lincoln has awoken from his sleep and sits up, he then looks to the clock and he sees the time is now passed 6. Lincoln sighs and he gets out of bed and heads to the bathroom. But when he opens the door he sees his mom in front of him.
"Lincoln, you're up. I was about to wake you and tell you to have breakfast" said Luna. "Great Grandma Harriet made breakfast and all the chores are done, so I thought we'd get started with some stuff before the others get here."
Then she gets surprised when Lincoln hugs her. "Mom, I understand what is going on and I am happy for some of it, and yet I feel bad that the band has to break up." Luna then hugs him back. "But I know that what you think is what's best after what happened and I guess I'm okay with it."
Luna then goes to his level and kisses his forehead. "Lincoln, I actually have a plan today. The others and I will take my old gear into storage and you're going to have to stay with Sam's little bro Simon until we get back. Are you okay with that?"
Lincoln smiles hearing that. "Well, I did say I wanted to hang out with Simon and he isn't sick anymore. So I guess I'm in on it. But I will help you bring all your instruments out of the house, it's the least I could do."
Luna smiles and they both hug again. "You're too kind to do that Lincoln." They then break the hug. "Now come on, let's go and have something to eat." They both head downstairs and into the dining room and they see all the food has been placed and ready and the one who did this is Great Grandma Harriet.
"Glad you both could make it, the food is ready and is still warm. Also if you two are planning to go to the High n' But. Then I suggest get some more bacon and perhaps some eggs and bread, as well as some baking powder."
Luna chuckles. "Will do Great Grandma Harriet, we'll get to it tomorrow or the day after that." Luna and Lincoln then take their seats and eat their breakfast.
Great Grandma Harriet then speaks up. "I assume that the two of you are both planning on moving all of your instruments out of the house to be claimed and then sent to storage?"
Luna drinks her coffee. "Pretty much. Sam, Sully, Mazzy, Chunk and Detective Merris are gonna help me move all of it into the car and Chunk's van then we're taking it all to the Royal Woods Storage zone and you don't have to worry about Lincoln. I'm gonna drop him off at Sam's place so he can have some play time with Sam's little bro Simon. I also called Pop-pop to see if he wants to help out too and he said he'll be here soon."
Lincoln smiles. "It's a good idea, I could at least get some more steps into hanging out with other people and I think I can be a big brother figure to Simon." Hearing that was enough to make Luna and Great Grandma Harriet smile, knowing that Lincoln wants to make more friends, besides Flat Tire.
"Well then, that is nice of you to try and chances Jordan will show up here and some of your friends and they might also want to hang out with you and Simon."
"That could be nice. We're going to have to lay down some rules so that we don't mess up Sam's home and Simon's room. He's only a kid after all" replied Lincoln. "How old is Simon?"
"Sam said he's seven years old" replied Luna. "His birthday was two months ago and he said he's ready to start school and meet up with some of his old pals. Also, I think it's a great idea for you and your friends to chill with Simon for today, perhaps we could just pick up Simon and drop you guys off at Gus', I'm sure he'll enjoy that."
They all agreed that this was going to be a good day to make some more changes and some new friends. They proceed to eat breakfast all while Harriet goes back to her book, but Lincoln has completely forgotten about the whole meet up and beat Stella at the Pack Rat game.
(An hour later.)
Chunk's van arrives and coming out is Sam, Sully, Mazzy, Chunk and Simon? They all notice some instruments are out on the front yard and some of them have been put into boxes.
"Looks like Linc and Lunes have already begun with the packing for us" said Chunk, he then grabs one of the heavy boxes named Congo drums and bells. "Might as well bring this stuff into the van."
"Umm, Whos van is that?" asked Sully. They notice the yellow van and none of them know whose it from and they also see some bikes there too.
"I think that's the Rosato van and those are the bikes that belong to some of Lincoln's friends" replied Sam. "I wonder why they're here."
"I got one question" said Mazzy. "Why did you bring your little brother here?"
"I wanted to come along and help out" replied Simon. "After what Sam told mom, dad and me they thought it would be a great idea for me to come and help Lincoln out with some issues he's having regarding what happened two days ago. Also, mom and dad are totally supporting Luna's idea and so am I."
Sully and Mazzy look towards Sam. "Sorry guys, but I had to tell my parents and they were alright with the whole idea. I have to let them in on it too."
Sully and Mazzy understand, Sam had to let her parents in on this, things won't be easy for them in the future. Just then they all see the front door to the loud house open and coming out are Lincoln, Luna Jordan, Jesse Rosato, Detective Merris, Pop-pop, Clyde, Liam, Tabby, Zach, Rusty and Flat Tire and they are carrying some boxes out of the house.
"Alright dudes, these are the last boxes of all my musical instruments" said Luna. "Leaving only my good old trusty acoustic in the room to help calm the mind and make some soothing tunes for a good time."
"Sure is a real shame about this Luna." Tabby places the box onto the lawn. "But I get it, after what had happened with you and Lincoln at Bangers n' Mosh it seems necessary to let your motherly instincts kick in."
"Just like when my memaw helped me after I thought I could take on them foxes by myself" replied Liam. "There were lots of scars and screaming after that disaster." They all looked towards him confused.
Luna and Lincoln see the others. "Sam, guys you made it. Nice." Luna goes over and hugs Sam.
"Well, we weren't gonna leave you hanging around and just move this stuff into storage on your own" replied Sam. "Also I brought my little bro along."
Simon goes over to Lincoln and they high five. "Nice to meet you Simon.
"Same with you Lincoln" replied the little blonde kid. "Also, if you're wondering why I'm here it's because I wanted to help out in moving all the boxes, though looks like you guys got it all figured out."
"We took all early precautions so the others don't have to come in and get the hell scared out of them" replied Lincoln. He then looks into the house and waves at Harriet who is at the window from Lisa and Lily's room.
Sully and Mazzy see Harriet. Harriet then turns to them and they could feel as if her eyes were looking into their souls and trying to rip the daylights out of them and send what's left of their existence into the dark abyss of the spectral plain. Talk about dark!
"So, she knows too?" asked Mazzy. Luna and Lincoln nod, this was not what they wanted to expect. But they understand that Lincoln and Luna had to tell her, she's family too.
Luna looks to Sam. "Good thing you brought Simon over, I was planning to drop off Lincoln at your place so he could spend some time with him, but Lincoln and his pals got another idea." Luna ruffles Simon's hair.
"Really? What is it?" Simon looks to Lincoln and his friends.
"Okay, so Gus' Games n' Grub is closed for the day due to the owner having to do a family reunion" said Zach.
"So we were all thinking of going to do some laser maze" replied Clyde. "The place hasn't opened yet and we were thinking of making our way there so we can be the first group who gets to play for free."
"It's one of their promos" replied Rusty. "And it is awesome!"
"Wow!" Simon looks to Sam. Sam smiles and nods. Simon then looks to the older kids. "Then I'm in too!"
They all get to bringing all the boxes into Chunk's van, The Rosato van, Luna's car and Merris's car. Throughout this Sully and Mazzy notice Tabby not talking or even making eye contact with them, which means she knows the truth about what happened with Lincoln, Luna and the band.
"Alright, that's the last one." Chunk places the last box into his van. "Let's get his stuff into the storage locker and then call it a day."
Sam is riding with Luna, Pop-pop is riding with Merris, Sully and Mazzy are riding with Chunk and Jesse Rosato will follow behind them in her van.
Lincoln and his friends go over to their bikes, Jordan is riding behind Lincoln and holding onto him, and since Clyde brought his dad's tandem bike so Simon can ride with him.
Luna goes over to Lincoln, hugs him and then kisses his forehead. "Stay safe my child and stay out of trouble."
"I will mom, I got my friends and special gal with me" replied Lincoln.
They all get into their vehicles and take off, and so do the kids on their bikes. Okay, so Tabby has a scooter instead of a bike. "So, are we splitting into two teams or are we going on a free for all shoot out?" asked Tabby.
"Well, there are 9 of us" replied Lincoln. "That includes Simon so I suggest we split into teams of three. Jordan, myself and Simon. Clyde with Liam and Tabby, Rusty, Zach and flat Tire."
"Wow man! Nice plan, let's see who buys lunch!" said Flat Tire.
"Ah yeah! Now we're talking!" said Zach.
"I've been to Laser Maze with Sam once and I am so stoked to go there again!" cheered Simon.
"Let's go people!" cheered Jordan. They all make their way to Laser Maze, ready to unleash holy hell onto each other.
(With Luna and the others.)
They continue their drive to the Royal Woods Storage Zone. Sam looks to her pixie cut girlfriend. "Luna, you feeling alright?"
"Not at the moment babe" replied Luna. "I'm going through some deep stuff and thinking since yesterday and I was also going through the decision of us being a duet, seems kinda rough and tumble but as I know from the two of us. We can get by it and find a way to make it work, whether people like to see two girl's singing romance to each other or not, I honestly don't care."
Sam smiles hearing this. "That's really nice of you Luna, and don't think of this as a hard thing to do. You made the right call in breaking up the band, what you were going through is what most call "A Rockstars Parenting Issue" and that seems pretty normal and it would soon subside when it all gets cleared out. There are some rockstars who are parents and have to let their family be the top priority."
Luna felt glad to hear that one. "Yeah, I guess you're right." They then continue their drive. "You think Simon is going to have a blast at Laser Maze with Lincoln and his pals? He looks like the blaster type."
Sam then chuckles. "Yeah about that, there's something you need to know about me Lunes."
"What's that Sammy?" Luna looks to Sam, she drives as the light turns green.
"I'm terrible at Laser Maze, it's just not my thing" replied Sam nervously.
Luna is shocked to hear this. "What?"
(Laser Maze.)
Lincoln and his friends are all inside and they were the first group to get the free superior blasters and are also joined by some other kids, and the carnage has begun!
A lot of kids are running around and blasting each other. Rusty is running with Flat Tire on his back and they run and gun with Zach covering their flanks. Clyde, Liam and Tabby are on one of the tower like structures and blasting away, so they have the high ground and a lot of kids are being blasted from behind by Lincoln, Jordan and Simon.
They then take cover into some barricade. "So Lincoln, I know this sounds kinda personal." Simon blasts a kid. "But I wanna know how you're dealing with the whole band breaking up thing."
"Same here." Jordan does a combat roll and blasts three other kids. "I wanna know how you're dealing with this, I know you wanna talk about it, plus it'll make things less hard if you talk with friends."
Lincoln leans onto the barricade and blasts a kid about to strike at him. "I guess with all that's happening to Luna and me, I'm trying my best to go through with all of this." Lincoln then gets out of cover and he snipes five other kids. "I mean, we talked to Leni and Lucy and it felt good to let it all out. But after what happened at Bangers n' Mosh, things got wrong real fast and now I'm back to being my old and scarred self."
Simon takes cover next to Lincoln and blasts three more other kids. "Don't let it get to you Lincoln. Sure some things are hard to get by and there will be some memories that come back to get you, but life will find a way to help you go through with it. Give it some time and you'll be back to your normal self." Simon then blasts a kid who was about to ambush them.
I'm surprised how logical that was Simon." Jordan ducks and blasts a kid. "Also, he's right. You're not the kind of guy to hold hate inside of you. I mean I'm still cheesed off at what your parents and what Junior did to you, but I know that sooner or later all those memories aren't going to weaken you, but instead teach you something and help make you stronger. In your own way and it'll help for when you meet up with them once again and listen to what they have to say about what happened." Jordan then runs to their cover and blast five more kids.
Lincoln smiles hearing that. "Thanks guys, that means a lot to me to hear this talk." Lincoln then ruffles Simon's hair. "And coming from Sam's little bro too, you're really good at talking things to calm down. Have you had some talks with Sam about these kinds of things?" Lincoln then blasts some kid who was at the high ground.
"It was the time when Sam was trying to figure out how to talk to Luna about the love letter" replied Simon, he then blasts Zach.
"Oh come on!"
"I told her to go for it and just talk to Luna and see how the relationship will go, we hugged it out and she called Luna."
Lincoln and Jordan are shocked to hear that, but to Lincoln it was like a part of himself when he would help a sister out and that made him smile. "Simon, if you ever wanna hang out with me one-on-one, don't be afraid to ask and I know you might see me as a big brother figure, so I'll look to you as my little brother figure." Lincoln then blasts Liam who was sneaking up on them.
"Dang it!"
Simon hugs Lincoln and Lincoln hugs Simon. Jordan was awed by this sweet little bro and big bro moment. Jordan then comes out of cover and she blasts Rusty, Flat Tire, Clyde and Tabby.
"Oh come on!"
They break the hug and they see the carnage that was left behind. "Wow, we conquered" said Simon. He then looks to the board. "Hey, we scored the highest. Nice."
"Looks like the rest of you guys are buying lunch" chuckled Lincoln, Simon and Jordan. "Burpin Burger?" asked Lincoln.
All of their friends groaned but then they laughed a bit. "Burpin' Burger." They all made their way out of the place and Lincoln texts Luna where they were headed to next.
(Royal Woods Storage Zone.)
They start to haul all of the remaining boxes into another storage unit neighbori9ng the one with Vanzilla in it. They all step back and see that there was still some space inside. Sam then goes to Chunk's van and she places Luna's axe and amps in there.
"The place still has some pace in it" replied Pop-pop. He then looks to Luna. "And I know that there are some things in the house that don't seem to belong, are you planning to move them here kiddo?"
Luna sighs. "I don't know Pop-pop, it's a tough choice to move the things from the old family into storage. It was easy for me to move all my old gear in because their sentimental value for me, but the other junk in the attic is the sentimental value to the others."
Pop-pop places his hand onto Luna's shoulder. "Hey now Lunes. It's your choice whether to have the stuff be in the house or not, but I do suggest some of the things I still have in there. Like my golf clubs, I wanna take them off your hands and put them into storage too. I don't want Lincoln to end up recalling what Lori did to him."
Luna smiles hearing that and hugs her grandfather. "Thanks Pop-pop."
Albert hugs his granddaughter. "Anytime sweetie."
They then break the hug and Luna closes the storage locker. Luna locks it and puts the key into her bag and looks to the others. "Well, this is it I guess."
"Yeah, it is" replied Sully. "Listen Lunes, we're still so sorry for what we did and we'll do whatever we can to make it up to you and Lincoln."
"We'll help you guys out if you two have any problems to deal with" said Mazzy. "We may be broken up, but we know the band is still in us and the band is a family and we're family so we wanna make thing's up by helping you and your kid with anything wrong."
Luna smiles hearing that and so do the others. "That awfully nice of you two to suggest, but these are things we all have to go by ourselves. We're still friends, but my house is off limits for you two to come over. Harriet is very protective at the moment and I don't want my pals to get scarred."
"So, you don't hate us?" asked Sully.
"Hate is something I can't hold on for too long" replied Luna. "Like my kid, we can't be spiteful to others forever and we have to come up and speak our minds to see how we feel towards them and how they feel about us. I don't hate you two, but I am rather disappointed, leave my kid be and let us deal with our own thing. The band will come back when the time is right and when I make the call, alright?"
Sully and Mazzy smile. "Okay Luna." Sam goes over and they all do hands in the middle.
"Till the return of the Luna-Tics" said Luna. "Luna-Tics rock on!" they cheered.
They then return to their vehicles, Chunk drives off with Sully and Mazzy. Luna and Sam watch them drive off. "So, we're a duet now?" asked Sam.
"Yeah, I guess we are" replied Luna. Then she gets a text from Lincoln. "Looks like they're all at the Burpin' Burger, Lincoln, Simon and Jordan won the Laser Maze and the others are buying lunch."
"Then what the heck are we waiting for?" said Pop-pop. "Let's go and eat."
They all get into their vehicles and drive off to the Burpin' Burger, they have some things to tell them and what happened at Laser Maze that got Lincoln and his team the win.
"By the way, when are you going to give away Vanzilla?" asked Pop-pop. He's riding with Luna and Sam.
"When Aunt Shirley gets back" replied Luna.
