Family of two

Chapter 18: Rosato at the Loud House.

(The Loud House.)

Lincoln wakes up first to the sound of his alarm clock, he then gets out of bed and heads to his drawer to get the clothes he's going to wear for the day. Luna awakens from the alarm clock and she sees her son going through his clothes and then he places them onto the chair.

White polo, orange jacket, blue jeans, white sneakers and clean underwear and socks. Luna gets down from her bunk and goes over to her son. "You seem really happy for today kiddo."

Lincoln looks to Luna and hugs her. "Jordan said she was going to spend a day here at the house and I wanna make this place as nice as it was when she helped the others renovate it."

Luna chuckles and she hugs Lincoln. "I like seeing you like this Linc, happy and full of spirit to whoever you invite into the house and this person is the girl you're still dating and at this point you might as well ask her to be your girlfriend."

Lincoln chuckles hearing that. "Well, I don't know about girlfriend, I mean she's nice, cute, awesome and very smart and girlfriend and boyfriend are something that we're both thinking about. I mean I think Jordan and I are thinkin of the same thing, thinking of how nice it would be if we were a couple and it might make us all lovey dovey and what not, I was also thinking of asking her to be my girlfriend, soon."

Luna smirks at how her son is blushing. "You know, if you want to ask her to be your girlfriend you could get her something nice, something that coul symbolize your relationship and unity. Do you have any idea what to get her kiddo?"

Lincoln thinks about it. "Well, I could get the both of us some boyfriend and girlfriend rings, or a bracelet, or necklace or even something else nice, like a keychain. But I don't think I have the cash for that one, I do have some money saved but I know it might not be enough."

"Well, you could ask me for some cash. We are loaded and I don't seem to mind you using some of it for your special girl. You two seem really happy together" replied Luna, she then strokes his white hair.

Lincoln felt unsure about this. "I don't know mom, I don't wanna use the money that we were given. I just wanna use the cash we got for normal and important things, like cleaning stuff and food, as well as future use for paying bills and school things. I think I wanna try and earn my cash through some work."

Luna rubs his cheek. "Linc, you have been earning it. Whenever you do some chores around the house and finish them up, I've been leaving 50 bucks in your wallet when you're not looking. I think you've earned it as an allowance and this money is yours as it is mine and to the family, so you can use some of it as well just as long as you ask me first. So don't be afraid to ask your awesome mom if you need some extra cash for anything you need. Okay Linc?"

Lincoln nods and then hugs Luna, Luna hugs him too and kisses his forehead. "Excuse me." Lincoln and Luna are startled by Great Grandma Harriet who is at the door. "I made breakfast and since Jordan is coming over, I took the privilege of cleaning the house, so there is little chores left to do."

Lincoln and Luna calm down. "We'll be down there soon, and maybe next time you can just knock."

"I'll keep that in mind." Harriet then phase through the door and leaves the room. Lincoln and Luna both get up and head for the kitchen to eat breakfast, they had a big day ahead of them.

(Skip, hours later.)

The Rosato van arrives and coming out is none other than Jordan Rosato. "Okay sweetie I'll come by to pick you up later in the day. Do you have everything you need?" asked Jesse Rosato.

"I have everything mom, no need to worry" replied Jordan, she then kisses her mom's cheek and leaves the van.

Inside the house, Luna readies her bag and her jacket and goes down the stairs with Lincoln. "Okay Lincoln, I won't be too long, so I need to know if you're going to be okay here at home with Jordan and Great Grandma Harriet. Will you be okay here?"

"It's gonna be alright mom" replied Lincoln. "Jordan can keep me company and if we do need some responsible teenage supervision, then I can call Beatrix Yates. She's the closest to a good babysitter around here even though I don't need one because I'm 11."

Luna goes to her son and hugs him. "Is there anything you need from me? Anything at all?"

Lincoln kisses his mom's cheek. "Just to make sure that I'll be okay and that you're going to be fine mom, though we could use a few pudding cups."

Luna chuckles from this. "Alright little man, I'll see what I can do." She then kisses Lincoln's forehead and then they hear the doorbell ring. "And that must be them." Luna opens the door and sees Jordan. "Hey Jordan, glad you could make it. I was about to head off."

"Hi Luna." Jordan then sees the white haired boy. "Hi Lincoln, ready to spend one day with you here at the Loud House, and with Harriet as well."

"It's nice to see you too Jordan." for some reason he hugs Jordan. Jordan is caught off guard by this and blushes and then she hugs Lincoln, then some panic enters Lincoln's thoughts. 'Why am I hugging her? What was I thinking?!'

Luna chuckles seeing this. 'That is just so cute.' She then hears a car horn and sees Jesse Rosato waving at her. She then looks to Lincoln. "Okay son, I gotta go now. I'll be back soon." she then places another kiss to Lincoln's forehead and then to his cheeks making him chuckle. "See you later you two and try not to get into trouble."

"We won't" replied Lincoln and Jordan as they wave goodbye to Luna as she boards the Rosato Van and they drive off.

"So, what's on the agenda Lincoln?" asked Jordan.

"Well, we could play some video games" replied Lincoln. "Unless you have something else on your mind."

Jordan smirks. "Whatever game it is, bring it on!" Lincoln feels motivated by this and they both get on the couch and go toe-to-toe against each other via muscle fish.

Great Grandma Harriet sees this and smiles, she then heads upstairs and into the attic to look for the book she couldn't find. 'Where the heck did I leave it?! Why can't I remember where my stupid book is?! And why am I insulting my own book?!'

(With Luna.)

They stop at a red light and wait, Jesse then looks to Luna who seems troubled. "Something on your mind Luna? I can tell from that face of yours, it's a combination of a troubled teen and a stressed mother, I have been through both things separated when I was young and growing up. What's the matter?"

Luna sighs. "After what's been happening, I've been feeling kinda down lately. I'm really worried about Lincoln and his safety, he seems to be easy to try and get over some things like the whole bad luck fiasco but even the slightest of worst moments could make him break down again and he would be unable to even live his life through and through. I wanna be there to help him, but I know he has to try and find some way to not let the bad vibes come into his thoughts so he can be able to enjoy life."

"So, you wanna help Lincoln with his issues so he may be able to grow up and be the happy Lincoln you know and love" said Jesse. "I've been down that road once before Luna, and let's just say it is not easy. Just give him some time and support him, talk to him but most of all don't let him feel like he's weak and can't do anything. Rick and I have been giving yo the advice from those weeks ago, remember?"

"Yeah, I do recall all that, and it keeps going into my head every time" replied Luna. "I just hope things won't be too rough for both of us, school is inbound and who knows what'll happen when the kids in school start talking about what happened to him. I know Lincoln might have some old bad blood in the place and I know he'll have friends to back him up. But he needs the emotional help from me, and I can't be there for him for that."

Jesse then has an idea. "You can talk to your principal, I'm sure she'll understand when you have to go over and see how he's doing. It could work."

Luna thinks about this. "You know what, that does sound like a good idea. I can speak with principal Rivers about letting me check on my kid every once in a while, she must've heard from the news and understands me and Lincoln and the situation we're in. Thanks for the advice Mrs. Rosato."

"From one mother to another, it's the least I could do. Also, you don't have to call me Mrs. Rosato" replied Jesse. "We're both moms and technically friends, though I have never been friends with a teen before."

Luna and Jesse chuckle. "Guess we're both having some awkward times right now." Just then they see Officer Schoffner pulling over a limo for parking near a fire hydrant and the limo owner is Lord Tetherby who is now arguing with the officer, seeing that man was making Luna's blood boil and she hated the man for treating Lincoln like garbage and misleading him just because he has a limo.

But Luna had to remain calm and not let her anger get the best of her. Jesse Rosato can see this and decides not to ask what's wrong.

The light turns green and they drive on, passing by the cop and the rich man arguing about proper parking and traffic violations.

(The Loud House.)

Lincoln and Jordan had just finished playing the video game. "Well, looks like we're both tied three for three, wow! And to think I thought Clyde would be the one who was always tied with me, but I guess I met someone who can do the same."

"I have had some experience with some video games, I have some video games at home that I play on my free time or when my dad wants to hang out" replied Jordan. "He got me some sick cool games that seem to be better than Muscle Fish."

"Really? How good are they?" asked Lincoln. Jordan then realized about the games she plays.

"Oh, well. I don't know if I should even tell you, they might not be good for you since your still reeling back through some hard times" replied Jordan nervously.

"That bad huh?" asked Lincoln. "At least give me some slight warning about the games you play."

"They've got blood and gore" replied Jordan.

Lincoln remains silent and confused. "That's it? Blood and gore? Jordan I don't mind at all, it doesn't seem scarring to me."

"Oh, well I thought that if I showed you the games you might get some bad memories of what happened to you and you might break down and cry again" replied Jordan with worry. "I really don't want you to relive all that you have been through, it hurts you more than it hurts me."

Lincoln places a hand on her shoulder. "Jordan, the only thing that can trigger the memories that have scarred me from before is going to be something that is strong, familiar and unsettling. What you just mentioned doesn't sound unsettling and just sounds normal R-Rated gaming to me, and I appreciate how much you worry about me. Like how my mom worries about me."

Jordan smiles hearing that. Then she decides to tell him. "Okay, so the games I play are Mortal Kombat from 9 to 11 and I'm waiting for the release of the new aftermath game which isn't in Royal Woods yet, I also play some nice and peaceful Minecraft, I don't tell this to anyone but I also play some war games like Company of Heroes and Battlefield. But I am most fond of the top games that rule the whole gaming empire."

"And what are they?" asked Lincoln.

"Riot Games and Blizzard Entertainment" replied Jordan. "They have awesome games, though Riot Games only has League of Legends for me to play, Blizzard on the other hand has lot of cool games to try. Diablo, Starcraft, Overwatch, Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm or better yet the game that puts the whole company back to the classics, World of Warcraft."

Lincoln was suddenly feeling interested. "Wow, maybe I can come by and visit your place to see these games, they sound pretty cool."

Jordan chuckles. "Well, there is one way we can see them." Jordan pulls out her tablet and goes to YouTube. You wanna see the videos that would show you what their all about?"

"Heck yeah!" replied Lincoln. He scooches closer to Jordan making her blush and they start watching some video trailers all about Blizzard and its games.

(High n' Buy!)

Luna and Jesse Rosato are both pushing their carts filled with things. "Okay, so I got the pudding cups, baking soda, eggs, a couple of fruits and veggies, as well as pork, chicken, beef and fish. I also got some lamb chops in case I wanna make something special for me and Linc, as well as ground beef and salmon." Luna checks it all off the list. "Now to grab some snacks."

"Wow! Talk about a nicely made list of things" replied Jesse as she pushes her cart. "And I thought I would be the one with all the things I needed, you Luna are on the role with that list and all the items."

Luna chuckles. "Well, I gotta make sure everything in the house is organized and check to see what's been missing."

Just then they see someone who was all too familiar, a woman with blonde hair, violet and black striped sweater, white jacket, blue sweat pants and brown boots. Hillary Treven the mother of Tyler Treven aka the hooligan boy who hurt Lincoln, Luna's son!

Luna just looks towards her sternly and decides to move the other way, Jesse knows who that woman is and follows Luna. "Luna wait." They both turn around towards her. "Look, I never got a chance to say this to you face to face. I'm really sorry for what my son did to your son. I didn't think he'd go so far as to do that kind of thing, but I promise you that he will be disciplined properly and won't be around town for the rest of the summer and school. I had a long and strict talk with my husband and we're sending him to a reform school for troubled kids."

Luna sighs and looks to her. "What's your name again?"

"Hillary Treven" replied Hillary. "My husband is Tyler Treven Sr, he named our son after himself."

"Then tell me" said Luna. "Why is your son like that? What inspired him to act like a bratty kid who would wanna get a hard working boy in trouble and then try and hurt him for something he did long ago and didn't even do any harm to that said kid?"

Hillary sighs. "My husband, he is very supportive of Tyler and would often motivate him to do whatever he wants and take what he wants. He spoils him and I try my hardest to discipline him and show him the right way of things, but my husband left a large mark onto Tyler and that's why he's like this. I'm so sorry Luna, truly I am."

"Then did you at least talk to your husband about this?" asked Jesse. Luna also wants to know.

"I did and the police were also there to back it up and show the footage of what happened" replied Hillary. "At first my husband was being protective and said that he would never do this and …. At one point he blamed you're son for doing this to himself and he also said some harsh and rude things about …. You and Lincoln."

Luna's blood was close to a boiling point. "But, I was able to reason with him to see who is at fault here and then the man from the Royal Woods Supermart came and said his words that it was in fact my son who caused trouble to his work place in the first place which led to all of this and that he was going to file a law suit against us for what Tyler did to his store" replied Hillary.

This makes Luna and Jesse shocked, the store manager from the Royal Woods Supermart vouched for them and put the Treven man in his place.

"So, we came to a decision to send Tyler to reform school next week. Currently he is serving his sentence in his room grounded and restricted of his games, allowance, TV and anything else fun" replied Hillary. "I really hope there isn't anything against us, I had no idea my husband's words would do this to my boy and make him into a delinquent. Again, I am so sorry Luna Loud, for everything."

Luna could see that this woman is truly feeling guilt from what her demented son did. Luna goes over to her. "Hillary, I don't think I can ever get over what your kid did to my son and what your husband did with his poor parenting skills. But I guess we can both find some common ground and let bygones be bygones."

Hillary smiled hearing that. "Thank you, and I do hope we can talk a bit one day and just hang out. I'll make sure my husband doesn't do anything else stupid ever again, I'm putting my foot down and …. Well trying to do what you do."

"What does that supposed to mean?" asked Luna.

"Well, ever since the incident with your family, a lot of mom's see you as a strong figure who stands up and works hard. The Royal Woods Gazette still has your name on the front page and they are dubbing you to be the toughest and most caring new mom in town, you got everyone's attention" replied Hillary.

Jesse was stunned by this. "I think I may have forgotten to read the Royal Woods Gazette, I'm busy with my little girls school come back."

Luna is stunned by this news. "Wow, I guess I landed a really big impression to Royal Woods moms, thanks for the info and I hope we can chill out too." They soon part ways and head off to do their groceries. Luna felt relieved she was able to forgive Hillary Treven for what happened, she has to be cautious on whoever else is on her and her son's side and who are against them.

(The Loud House.)

Lincoln and Jordan are now in the bedroom and had just finished watching a League of Legends video. "Wow, this game is so awesome! And it's free to play too!"

"So, what game are you planning on trying then?" asked Jordan. She puts her phone away.

"I think I'll go with League of Legends, the way the game plays and how each character has an awesome backstory just makes it stand out and say this is a game that's all about good teamwork" replied Lincoln. "I still have my laptop and I think I can be able to get the game and make an account and perhaps we can join the battle and tag team."

Jordan giggles hearing that. "Now that sounds like a plan." Then she looks down with concern. "Lincoln, are you worried about going back to school?"

Lincoln sighs. "A little bit, I know there are going to be some kids coming back from their summer vacations and they have no clue what happened here in town and they might end up making fun of me for having a 15 year old mom. But I won't let them hinder my spirit, my mom is the one thing that keeps me going and to avoid spiraling into a dark void I can never get out of, they can push me around, they can mock me and my mom but I'll just ignore them. But if they go too far in insulting my mom then there's gonna be hell to pay."

Jordan is shocked to see this side of Lincoln. "Okay, let's just calm down there Linc. Just know that you won't be alone at school, you got your friends and me. We'll have your back and show them not to push you or your mom around, also since a lot of kids know who I am then there will be a lot of problems for them when they mess with the Louds. Consider the louds true friends to the Rosato's."

Lincoln smiles and holds Jordan's hand. "Thanks Jordan, that means a lot and I'll do my part to help stand up to bullies, I just hope Chandler doesn't act like a jerk and make fun of the kid who didn't go to his stupid sewer party."

Jordan intertwines her fingers with his. "To be honest, I didn't go to his party either."

Lincoln looks to Jordan confused. "You didn't? Why not?"

"Well first off in a sewage plant so it's practically gross, second I know Chandler is just a greedy, annoying and stupid jerk who thinks he can get whatever he wants, third I haven't gotten over his flirting when I threw a party, nobody does that to me and gets away with it and lastly I know he would try and pull some pranks on the kids at the party" replied Jordan. "When school began on Monday didn't you notice there were less kids?"

Lincoln recalled that one, when it was Monday a lot of kids weren't at school. "What happened to them?"

"No clue, no one would tell me or even wanna talk about it" replied Jordan. "Especially my gals, they seemed really upset and wanted to beat the living crap out of Chandler."

"Didn't anyone report this?" asked Lincoln.

"Brownie, but her real name is Judy" replied Jordan. "She wasn't hit by any of the pranks and recorded the whole thing, this went public and then to his dad and Chandler was in trouble and was pretty much hated by a lot of kids including some of his old pals Artie, Lance and Trent. Now he just has Patrick and Dennis backing him up, so he's cornered with no other kids by his side and no way to hell do they wanna go to any party of Chandler's ever again."

Lincoln felt relieved he dodged the bullet from not going to the party, and he's glad Clyde didn't go too and to the fact Rusty, Liam and Zach didn't get invites as well. "I got a bad feeling Chandler is going to try to chum up to me when he finds out about what happened, and then come the big tricks and mocking pranks, but with this information from you I can avoid him."

"Smart move loud" replied Jordan. "So, anything else on your mind?"

Lincoln chuckles nervously. "Dodge ball."

Jordan is stunned and then confused. "Umm, what about it?"

"Can you show me how to play like you? I wanna toughen up and I think dodge ball is a good start" replied Lincoln nervously.

Jordan smiles. "Lincoln Loud, it would be my pleasure to show you the ropes on what I know. And in due time you might be as dominant as me, we can be like a team."

Lincoln chuckles. "Lincoln Loud and Jordan Rosato the Dodge Ball Queen. That's something kids will be talking about for a long time."

"Dodge Ball King." Lincoln stops laughing and looks to Jordan who is turning red. "We are dating, so maybe we can call you my … Dodge Ball King, if that's okay with you."

Lincoln then pulls her closer to him and kisses her cheek. "That sounds nice, I like it and I was also thinking that you and I should go on a date, like on Saturday maybe. If you want."

Jordan smiles hearing this, his words sounded calm and peaceful and had this loving daze in his eyes. "Yeah, I'd l-love that. Saturday, what's the agenda?"

Lincoln then chuckles. "Dinner? Somewhere we both can go, alone. I know my mom will keep an eye on us and I'm okay with that."

"That sounds lovely." Jordan turns red and smiles and she leans her head onto his shoulder. They both stay like this and enjoy the peace and quiet, with their hands holding and their fingers intertwining.

Great Grandma Harriet is looking through the opened door and smiles, while holding her book of spells. She found it!

Luna walks into the house with Jesse and they drop off the groceries into the kitchen. "Where the heck are they?" Luna looks around.

"Maybe their upstairs." Jesse and Luna both head up the stairs and they see Great Grandma Harriet looking at the bedroom.

Luna and Jesse look in and they awe at the sight of Lincoln and Jordan on the beanbag chair and both of them close and holding hands. Some part of Luna can tell that something beautiful is going to happen soon, so she pulls out her cellphone and takes a picture of this. 'I think my boy is going to ask her, I know it and he might need something to solidify their relationship, and this will do.'

Luna, Jesse and Harriet walk away and head back downstairs to leave these two romantic 11 year olds to their romantic peace and quiet.

A/N: Jordacoln will spark in this story of Lincoln and Luna's mother and son moments, coming next is Lincoln's confrontation with Stella and his plan on what to do on Saturday, I think some of you know what's gonna happen on his next date. Leave a review and tell me what you all think.
