This is going to be a chapter that may focus mostly onto Lincoln and his pals and special gal. I hope you guys like this and enjoy reading folks.
Family of two.
Chapter 21: Friends in the Loud House.
(The Loud House.)
Lincoln brings out the fresh batch of cookies out of the oven and he places all of them into the cookie jar and then he passes by Great Grandma Harriet who is baking more and he gets two cartons of milk ready. "This is it, I'm gonna have some friends over to hang out with me and also have some fun, this is also Stella's first time being in the house and I wanna know how she'll feel about all of this."
Harriet then places the next batch of cookies into the oven. "I for one wish to know about the spirits and other beings from her home country. I am very curious when it comes to beings and creatures from another country."
Lincoln chuckles. "I'm sure she'll open up to telling you. She's a nice girl and she might like you, but let's not let her granny know about you. She might get lost and confused and probably have a heart attack."
"Then let us hope Stella will be able not to tell her grandmother about me, I know little of this country she was born in."
Luna then walks in from the backyard with some gardening gloves on. "All the weeds have been removed and the rose garden looks as fresh as she was before." She then grabs a soda and drinks it. She then looks to her son Lincoln. "So, you stoked about your friends coming over?"
"As always, I am so excited to hang out with them and to show them what Jordan showed me the last time we hung out alone" replied Lincoln, he then goes over and cleans the table after helping Great Grandma Harriet with the cookies.
Luna recalls what Lincoln told her, about these new games he's heard of from Jordan. This was another new change he was going through and he seems to be happy to be part of it. "Well, I'll be at Sam's and Simon will come over here soon to also hang out with you guys."
"Simon is always welcome to come over, he's like a little brother to me" replied Lincoln. "Though this is his first time coming here and I don't know how he's gonna react to the ghost in the house." Lincoln and Luna look to Great Grandma Harriet.
"I have heard of Simon, and I know he is a year younger than Lucy and I will make sure this house is well as I will also keep an eye on Lincoln and his friends. I will also do my best to avoid scaring any of them. I do not intend to give these children early mental scars."
Just then they hear a knock on the door. "That's odd, are we expecting them early?" asked Luna.
Lincoln heads to the door and opens it, he then sees no one is there. "Huh, I swear we heard someone knock." He goes outside and then someone hugs him out of nowhere and they both chuckle as they spin around.
"Sorry, I couldn't resist!" chuckled Jordan, she then kisses his cheek. "Am I early? Or late?"
Lincoln then breaks the hug with Jordan and he kisses her cheek. "You're early, and it's always good to see you. Even though we have been talking to each other through the phone this morning."
Luna and Harriet see this from the window and smile. "They're relationship is just so much into pulling my heartstrings, I am so proud of my boy and his little girlfriend" replied Luna with a warm smile.
"This really does bring back good memories of the boy I had a crush on, who happens to be Albert's father. Such young love, and it also looks like it may have fallen upon Lincoln and Jordan. This is nice. Has anyone else known about this besides the two of us, Sam and the teens who helped keep an eye on them?"
"Pop-pop doesn't know yet, but I'm sure we'll let him in on this and he will be proud" replied Luna. Lincoln and Jordan then enter the house.
"Hi Luna, Hi Harriet. Wow those cookies smell nice" greeted Jordan.
"Lincoln and I made them for the rest of your friends to come over and enjoy them. Also, have any of your gal pals arrived back from their Summer Vacations?"
"No not yet, they said they'll be back to Royal Woods on September 1. They already told me they have all their preparation to school ready and they are so excited to come back home" replied Jordan.
Lincoln and Luna felt nervous, but they had to ask her. "Do they know about ….. All of this that's been happening?" asked Luna.
Jordan sighs. "Sadly no, they haven't heard or even bothered to check on the local news or notifications from Royal Woods, I didn't even ask or tell them about what's been happening. But one thing's for sure, by the time they get here I'll talk to them about it and see what they think."
"Do they know about us?" You know, a couple?" asked Lincoln.
Jordan hugs Lincoln. "That's the surprise I am planning to show them when they come back." They then part from the hug. "I wanna bring you along and also Luna so we can tell them what happened, your friends are also welcome to tag along as well."
Lincoln and Luna smile hearing that. Then they hear another knock on the door. "That must be them, they're not early or late" replied Lincoln. He then goes over to the door with Luna and Jordan following, Harriet heads back to the kitchen to check on the cookies.
Lincoln opens the door and sees who it is. "Hi Sam" greeted Luna.
"Hey guys, glad we could make it" replied Sam, with her is her little brother Simon who goes over and hugs Lincoln.
"It's good to see you again Lincoln and congrats on you and Jordan becoming a couple." Lincoln and Jordan look to Luna and smile.
"I told him" replied Sam slyly. "He's like a little bro to you and he wants to know how you've been doing and see what he can do to help out. He really likes to hang out with you and your friends, the only pals Simon has at school is his gaming club and they don't really hang out much unless it involves video games."
Lincoln and Simon part from the hug. "Well, we're still waiting for the others to get here, including our new pal Stella. The girl I beat at the arcade at last."
"I look forward to hanging out with them, and also learning about these other video games you and Jordan now know about" replied Simon. "I only know a few games that my pals know, but this is going to be awesome!"
"Well, you got friends within us and the friends you hung out with" said Jordan as she ruffles Simon's hair. "No matter how young you are you're part of this group of pals with us."
Luna grabs her jacket and she hugs Lincoln and kisses his forehead. "Call or text me if anything's wrong okay kiddo? I always care about you and your safety and you're well-being."
Lincoln hugs Luna and kisses her cheek. "Thanks mom, and I'll be fine here. I got my friends, my skills and Great Grandma Harriet."
Sam also hugs Simon, she then joins Luna to her car and they drive off. Lincoln, Jordan and Simon wave as they watch the two teens drive off to the Sharp house. The three kids then head back into the house. "Okay, so where is your ghost great grandma?" asked Simon.
"I am here." Harriet passes out of the kitchen with a plate of warm cookies. Simon is shocked by this, an actual ghost and holding cookies. "Hello Simon Sharp, would you like a cookie?"
Simon is a little freaked out by this and he grabs a cookie. "Wow, you really are a ghost and not like the ghosts I've seen in video games."
Harriet tilts to the side. "I don't know if that was supposed to be racists or not, but I guess I'll let it slide. Just do not mention anything that is incorrect and inaccurate involving the paranormal and spiritual."
Simon looks to Lincoln and Jordan and they both respond. "She takes her ghost life seriously and would rather believe in the truth behind the paranormal and what's beyond death itself."
Simon nods. "Okay then, I'll try and make sure I don't say anything else that involves what I've seen from ghosts." Then they hear the doorbell ring.
"And we got more company" replied Jordan. Lincoln goes over to the door and he sees it was his pals.
Clyde, Rusty, Liam, Tabby, Zach and Flat Tire. "Hey guys, you made it and right on time to." Lincoln lets them in and they smell something nice.
"Dude, are those cookies?" asked Rusty. They then see a plate of cookies on the table. "Awesome!"
"Good to see you again Simon, how're things with you and Sam?" asked Tabby.
"Pretty cool actually and a lot of things have been going on in our house, and I think we might need to fumigate the house" replied Simon. "We might have some termites living there."
"Wow, that was one thing Sam did not tell us" said Lincoln.
"Hey Jordan" said Clyde. "So, what's been happening between you and Lincoln?" Then he sees the necklace on her. "And what is that?" Rusty, Liam, Tabby, Zach and Flat Tire also see this.
Jordan chuckles. "Let's just wait for Stella to arrive, she'll wanna know about this as well."
"Okay, so are we going to play some games later?" asked Tabby as she eats a cookie.
"We will" replied Jordan. "I brought with me one of the games I got and I wanna see if Lincoln is capable of handling it and see if he can beat me."
"Cool, a new game!" said Zach as he eats a cookie. "What is it about?"
"It's called For Honor, and it is awesome!" replied Jordan. They all couldn't wait to try it and see how it works. Clyde had to make sure he resists the urge of the 20-20 rule from his dad's and he is so glad he got rid of the tracking chip his dad's placed onto him. He decided not to tell his friends about it.
(Outside.)
Stella Gonzales arrives to the house and she looks at it. "Well, this is Franklin Avenue. This house looks pretty nice and kinda clean. Lincoln wasn't wrong about this place being renovated and I am so glad I did not tell my granny about the ghost, though I wanna know if there is a ghost."
Stella walks up to the house and she rings the doorbell. The door is then opened and she sees right in front of her is a transparent woman in old fashioned clothing, black hair and her eyes not visible. "You must be Stella, welcome to the loud house. My name is Harriet Willard, I am the Great Grandmother to Lincoln and Luna."
Stella is shocked to see this. "Wow! There really is a ghost in the house!"
"Now you know how I feel!" said Mr. Grouse as he is checking his mailbox. "Same here kid, I had the same reaction." Detective Merris leaves her house and heads into her car and drives off.
Stella then looks to the Harriet. "So, it's nice to meet you for the first time. Wow, I have never spoken to a ghost before. This is a whole new thing for me."
Harriet smiles. "It's a first time for everyone, would you like to come in?" Stella walks in and she sees l of her friends are there in the living room talking and eating cookies.
"Hey Stella!" they all greeted.
"Hi guys, I just met your great grandma Linc and she seems nice. Not to mention kinda creepy" replied Stella. She then looks to the others. "Do you guys know about her?"
"We do know about her, and we are kinda surprised by her very presence when we found out and we were a bit unsettled when she was around, but we're okay with her now. She seems nice" replied Clyde.
"This is the first time I've been here and the first time I've met her, but after what Lincoln, Luna and Jordan said about her, I chinned up and got the courage to not be scared" replied Tabby.
"I just met her earlier and I was a bit scared, but now I see she's not that creepy at all" replied Simon. "I'm Simon by the way, Simon Sharp."
"Nice to meet you Simon." Stella shakes his hand. "The names Stella Gonzales. Looks like we're all here and ready to chill out, so what's first on the agenda for today?" Stella grabs a cookie and eats it.
"Well, we were thinking of playing the game Jordan brought over, but right now Great Grandma Harriet has some questions for you that we also wanna hear about" replied Lincoln.
Stella sits on the arm chair. "Okay cool, so what does she wanna know?"
Harriet then appears near the chimney which kinda startles everyone. "What are the ghosts in your country like?"
"Terrifying" replied Stella. This makes the others shocked. "Like, way more terrifying than any ghost from America. We're talking about pale white lady ghosts with long black hair and also wearing all white clothes. We call them White Ladies and they are not friendly and are mostly omens of death and evil."
The others felt a bit stunned by this. Harriet was feeling fascinated. "Seems like a very familia trait for most spirits located within Asia, and what about the mythological beliefs and creatures of your country?"
They all know this could get seriously scary and it's not even Halloween yet. Stella smiles, she liked this ghost and her curiosity about the paranormal and scary. "Brace yourself my friends, because things are about to get spooky! And it's not even Halloween yet!"
Some of them chuckle and some of them are a little freaked out. Lincoln had to make sure Simon won't get too scared, his inner big brother mode kicks in.
Harriet snickers. "Go ahead Stella, try me."
(Sharp Residence.)
Luna and Sam are busy making a song for their first duet gig. "So, how about we both start off with this romantic vibe that'll get the crowd into some lovey dovey moment and then we keep the mood steady with the both of us doing some individual words like, I start one thing and you do the next" said Sam.
Luna smiles. "This is good, this could work and I am so glad we're making this happen."
They then start writing down some lyrics to the song their making called. "Thinking out Loud."
"So, when do you think we can make this gig a reality?" asked Sam.
"When someone asks us about our duet gig and wants some romance to spice it up" replied Luna. "Sure as heck Lincoln will wanna come and see us perform and also Jordan, they are a thing and I am dang proud of my boy for finding his one true love."
Sam then recalls. "Speaking of love, does Ronnie Anne Santiago know about this?"
The sound of glass shattering could be heard within the inner thoughts of Luna. "No, she doesn't know about anything ever since the court ended. She doesn't even know whats going on with Linc and me now. I don't even think she called Lincoln."
Sam could see this as a slight problem. "Are you still upset about the Casagrandes when they came into the hospital all those months ago?"
Luna still recalls when the entire family of the Casagrandes came into the room while Lincoln was in a coma, after the McBride's left. It turned into chaos real fast and they all wanted to ask Luna how he was doing when all she wanted was some peace and quiet as she gazed upon her unconscious brother.
Frida started taking some pictures of this situation, Carlos started talking about the many factors of what would happen should Lincoln wake up and try to recover, Hector brought his guitar, Bobby started apologizing, CJ wanted to know if his playmate was okay, Carl asked if there are other girls out there who are better than Lori, Carlotta started talking about how this could affect his relationship with Ronnie Anne which really pissed off Ronnie Anne.
The one who was the most annoying had to be Abuela Rosa, she attempted to use all of her lucky scented candles and her stupid rituals, but this ignited a spark and anger within Luna. It was like Lynn Loud Junior, but older and more annoying. Luna threw a fit and tossed out all of the useless junk out the window and yelled at them to get out, leave her and her brother alone and don't even think about doing any more luck shit otherwise they'll all see death too early!
Thankfully, Detective Merris showed up and escorted the Casagrandes out and told them that once the court is over, they are to leave Royal Woods and don't ever come back again. Luna hasn't filed a restraining order yet, so the Casagrandes think she did. Rosa didn't even know what she did wrong and said she was doing this to help, Lincoln doesn't need help from luck, and all he needs is the one true family who loves him the most. Luna.
Luna is still upset about this. "I don't know what to do Sam. I didn't even tell Lincoln about what they did."
Sam puts her hand on Luna's shoulder. "How about this, tomorrow you, Lincoln and also Jordan go over to Great Lake City and see them, talk things through and get them to understand and also apologize for being pissed off at them like that."
Luna smiles. "Thanks Sammy, that's a good idea. I'll tell Lincoln later when I get home. For now, let's finish this song we're making."
Luna and Sam go back to the lyric sheets and they continue to finish the song they both are planning to perform one day.
(The Loud House.)
All of them are jaws dropped and a little freaked out by what Stella had told them. Her country was filled with creatures of the night and evil who can scare even the boogie man away.
A fireball made of the blood of fallen Japanese soldiers, dwarf like creatures that will cure and/or kill you if you disturb their home, dog sized beasts that can turn people's hearts into rubies, powerful beings who trick humans into their boulder houses and then kill them, a massive dragon that is said to devour the sun which is actually the eclipse, unborn infants back from the grave to kill and cannibalize the people who have wronged them and beings of evil that steal children and fear the living with their ability to change forms.
But scariest of them all had to be the Vampiric lady who can split her body in half and take off on large wings to feast on your innards. Now that is scary.
Harriet however is fascinated by this. "You're country truly is a place of myths and legends, and the witches you describe sound as if they are both of good and bad. All of my respects to them."
"My granny told me all about these stories" replied Stella. "Though in truth they're just told so that kids in my home country won't go out at night, the one thing scary there has to be the drunk and mean grownups who do more evil than beasts, now that is evil."
"Humanity is capable of doing far more evil than anything beyond belief. So it makes sense, also this idea of telling their children this so they don't stay out at night has been told throughout centuries, so that part is not new to me. Thank you for telling me more about your country and its beings Stella."
"It was my pleasure Harriet, always ready to share to someone who has an interest in what me and my Granny like" replied Stella. She then looks to her friends. "How're you guys holding up?" She sees they are a bit freaked out. "You guys okay?"
"Not really" replied Lincoln, he is making sure Simon id not feeling scared and pilling Jordan closer to him and holding her hand.
"Quite the opposite really" replied Jordan who is holding Lincoln's hand.
"I have heard things that I will never forget" replied Flat Tire as he drinks his glass of milk.
"I'm starting to see why farmers always have pitch forks now" said Liam, he holds Tabby's hand.
"I don't think I will ever look at vampires the same way again" said Tabby, she holds Liam's hand.
"I wish I knew what we just heard" said Rusty nervously.
"Dang, looks like aliens aren't my greatest threat anymore" replied Zach. "Or the government."
Simon remains silent throughout the whole thing, oh and Clyde just passed out, after hearing only two of the monster stories.
Stella could see her friends were very uncomfortable by this. "Sorry guys, I guess I went a little overboard with my stories. My bad."
"No, it's cool Stella. They did sound kinda interesting and also a bit terrifying. You really know how to make an early Halloween scary story" replied Lincoln.
"Well, you guys should hear it from my granny, she knows how to make them sound way scarier than mine" replied Stella. "If she knows how to say the words right. Her English isn't quite good."
"Well, I do believe that has answered all of my questions and I also believe you all have some fun to attend to, so I will let you all be now." Harriet then looks to Stella. "If you ever feel like talking more about scary and spooky things, then you are free to come by and speak to me Stella."
Stella smiles. "Thanks Harriet, and I'll make sure my granny doesn't know about you, otherwise she'll bust out her trinkets of mystic stuff. She really has those with her." Harriet then leaves the room and heads upstairs.
"Okay, so shall we enjoy some gaming?" asked Jordan. They all nod and agree.
Clyde then wakes up. "Wha …. What happened? Is it over?"
"Yeah Clyde and we're about to get our game on!" replied Zach.
"So, tell me again what the heck is For Honor?" asked Simon.
"Well, it's a game where you gotta pick which faction you're on. Knights, Vikings or Samurai and it is all about close weapons combat, learning how to defend and block and offensive attacks" replied Jordan. "Just a little heads up, this might get bloody."
Lincoln smirks. "Then let's do this thing! Also, after this Jordan is going to show all of us some videos she got of some other video games we haven't heard of, she was able to download them and store them into a flash drive."
Jordan pulls out the yellow and light blue flash drive from her pocket. "And thankfully Lincoln's TV has a plug in for flash drives."
"Then what are we waiting for mates? Let's play the video game and see if we can all take turns and show each other the what not and competitive spirit!" said Tabby.
"Yeah!" They spend their hang out time playing video games and taking turns and cheering each other on.
(Skip, Nighttime.)
Lincoln had just finished using the bathroom and is headed into the bedroom and then he sees his mom come out of the surveillance room and close the door. "Hey mom, I was just about headed to bed now."
Luna walks over to him and holds his hand, they both enter the room and Luna closes the door, she then guides her son onto the lower bunk. Lincoln knows something is wrong, really, really wrong. "Mom, is something the matter?"
Luna sighs. "Linc, I have to tell you what happened when you were in that coma and after the McBride's came in and ticked me off."
Lincoln listened to what his mom said, she then tells her son about the Casagrandes when they came in and made things ten times worse than it was already. Lincoln is stunned to hear that, and it explained why Ronnie Anne never called him anymore and why the Casagrandes didn't interact with him after the court victory.
"So, what are we going to do now?" asked Lincoln with concern. "Ronnie Anne has no clue about what's happening now and she might think our friendship is long gone."
Luna knows he might act like this. "Linc, we're going to Great Lake City tomorrow, before the start of school. We're gonna go and see the Santiago's and the Casagrandes and we're going to have a talk to them about all that has been happening and we're going to bring Jordan along to deal with whatever paranoia they may have about you and Ronnie Anne being a thing, is that okay with you?"
Lincoln smiles hearing that. "I think that sounds like a great idea, plus Jordan and I can hang out with Ronnie Anne and see how life in the city is for her." Lincoln then hugs his mom and Luna hugs her son. "Mom, if they do start acting up against you, then I'll be there to back you up and we might need someone to come with us as well."
Luna smiles. "And that's why Great Grandma Harriet comes in and makes things right, she told me earlier she found the spell she needed to free herself of her binds from the house so she may be binded to us. She can be able to leave the house whenever she wants and help us along the way."
Lincoln liked the sound of that, it could work. "Sure as heck Rosa won't be able to push away a ghost that is family, otherwise she'll have to answer to us!" This gave Luna and Lincoln the true motivation they needed to make this meeting happen.
Come tomorrow, they are headed for Great Lake City.
(In the basement.)
Harriet looks to the circle she made with runic symbols. "There, now I can release myself from the binds of the house and go with Lincoln and Luna whenever they require my services, I will not let them go through this life alone and I am the strongest in the family to help them."
She then does an incantation and the runic circle glows and creates some kind of bluish portal. She then looks to the book. "Did I do this right?"
Then she hears a ghostly words from the portal and her body glows and then the glowing stops and the weird portal is gone. "Huh, I guess it worked." Harriet could feel as if her services to the house remain but she may take her business with Lincoln and Luna, it worked.
Outside, a raven with violet eyes turning to red sees the house and then caws and flies through a small portal in the sky. It left behind a rune on the fence with an ancient mark, an unknown mark that only a Word of Warcraft fan would know.
A/N: Stella has met Great Grandma Harriet and it seems like Lincoln and Luna are ready to head off to Great Lake City to meet up with the Casagrandes, Harriet is ow free from her binds to the house and it seems someone has entered their world, you guys know who he might be. Hint: Spells and Louds.
