Chapter 22: Great Lakes Drama
(Somewhere on the road.)
The Purple Ferrari drives along the road and passes by some farms and a gas station. Inside are the mother and son duo, Luna Loud and Lincoln Loud and with them for the ride is Jordan Rosato and all of them are listening to the sound of a heavy metal song.
Luna then hears the song coming to an end. "Alright, I gotta admit that was pretty rad. Looks like even video games know how to make wicked and cool songs, especially for my type."
"Team Pentakill is just the name of the band that makes some of the rock and roll beats to the game, but they're also added to the game as cosmetic skins for six League of Legends Champions" replied Lincoln. "Though the game itself has other genres of songs. Country, pop, arcade style, spooky, rap, romance and some action songs to spice it all up."
"I like KDA, they are so cool and they make their outfits look so divine!" replied Jordan. "I wonder if Ronnie Anne has some gal pals who might like K-Pop, it is the one song genre trending like wildfire."
Luna chuckles. "There are a lot of new song genres rising from peoples ideals and making it to the big time, though genres from the old days still conquer the hearts and minds to those who know and love them." She then looks to the very back of the car. "I wonder how Great Grandma Harriet is doing."
In the trunk, Great Grandma Harriet has decreased her size so she may relax while reading her book.
"She doesn't sound bothered, she is used to being in the dark" replied Lincoln. "Still feels wrong for us to put her in there though."
"She did say that if we bring her into the car, chances people will notice how translucent she is and things could get awkward real fast" replied Jordan. "This was her choice, so let's accept what she told us, also I don't think she's much of a sunshine kinda gal."
"Not wrong." Luna makes a right towards the freeway. "Great Grandma Harriet keeps her secrets locked in tight within her thoughts, we know little about her. The only thing we do know is that she will do whatever she can to keep family safe and close together, and know she's keeping Linc and me safe."
Lincoln then gets worried. "You think Ronnie Anne might be upset about what happened last time?"
Jordan sits close to him and holds his hand to keep him from getting worried. Luna sighs. "I doubt that kiddo, Ronnie Anne understands what had to be done and so does her mom. Bobby is a question to think about, he might be a sad, hopeless wreck by now after what he knows about Lori, and he might be a little on edge after what ….. What I said about him during the court."
Lincoln recalls what he said about Bobby when he testified he didn't know about Lincoln being tormented. 'Wow, you really are as dense and stupid. Almost like Leni.' those were the exact same words Luna said to Bobby when he found out his mistakes and it sounded personal to Lori.
Lincoln then looks to his mom. "We're going to have to talk some sense into them so they can understand and not spiral it all down south, if they do something stupid then we're leaving and not making contact with them ever again."
Jordan and Luna look to him in shock. "Lincoln, are you sure about that?" asked Jordan with concern.
Lincoln sighs. "Look, we have been going through some trouble and it almost ruined what mom and I had, the mother and son bond that's keeping the family together, tough love and hardships along the way. The Casagrandes won't be so different. Chances they will star asking us if we need some help and then comes the situation with my relationship with Ronnie Anne."
Luna knows that is true, the Casagrandes were all like Lori and Bobby, they pictured Lincoln and Ronnie Anne to be together but they never gave them the chance to speak out. If things have gotten out of hand then Lincoln and Ronnie Anne might end up getting forced to get married and live miserable lives that would end the friendship they had and make their lives even worse and possibly their future of who they want to be.
Jordan knows already from experience about the constant teasing Lincoln got after he kissed Ronnie Anne, she seemed sad it was his first kiss. But at least Jordan got Lincolns first passionate and true lovers kiss and it was amazing for her. "I'm not letting some large family of Lori minded people tell us otherwise."
Lincoln can see that Jordan and his mom Luna both seem to be on the same page, this could spell over powered words against the Casagrandes. 'Maybe we should've brought Merris or StoneHeart with us.'
"They start talking about you and Ronalda being a thing, then I'm gonna make them regret talking!" said Luna in anger. She then sees the sign where it was okay to speed up, so she cranks it up and they make their way to Great Lake City, time to go and see the Santiago's and the Casagrandes.
(Great Lake City.)
Lincoln and Jordan look out the window and they see how tall the buildings are. "Wow, I haven't explored the city before. This place seems way bigger the last time I was here" replied Lincoln.
"My parents and I have been to cities, this place isn't as superior as New York, Los Angeles and Miami" replied Jordan. "And there are way too many pigeons here."
Luna then looks around. "Son, I have no clue what I'm looking for or even what the place looks like. You have been here once with Lori months ago, tell me what their apartment building looks like."
Lincoln looks around and then he sees something. "That's it! Casagrande Mercado dead ahead!" Luna sees the Mercado, she sees it wasn't much busy but some lady in a yellow dress and an old guy comes out. This was a landmark she will definitely have to remember.
They spot the apartment connected to it and Luna parks her car in front of the house, where a little girl is playing with her pet frog. "Wow. Now that is one purple car."
Luna, Lincoln and Jordan get out and they look to the apartment. "This is it, Casagrandes home" said Lincoln. "I got a bad feeling about this, we're not going to be able to forget what might happen here."
"Whatever happens son, I am not letting them hurt any of us" said Luna as she holds Lincoln's hand.
Jordan then sees the 6 year old Asian girl wearing a red shirt and purple skirt. "Hi there, are the Casagrandes home?"
"That depends, what is it you guys want with them? How do you know them? What business do you guys have with them? Where are you guys from? Also, what did my sister and her best friend Ronnie Anne do to get you guys here?" asked the little girl.
"Wow, she's just like Lola." Luna then sees the frog. "And Lana, combined."
Lincoln goes over to the little girl. "My name is Lincoln Loud, this is Jordan Rosato and my mom Luna Loud. I know Ronnie Anne, she was my old friend in Royal Woods Grade School. Is she home?"
The little Asian girl could tell this was the kid Sid and Ronnie Anne were talking about, the kid who has the 15 year old mom/former sister. She smiles. "My name is Adelaide, Adelaide Chang. My sister is Sid and this guy is Froggy!" The frog croaks.
This makes them chuckle a bit, she seemed cute, fun loving, kinda protective and slightly a sass bucket.
Luna steps up and looks to the six year old. "Adelaide, can you take us to them? We have to talk about some important things after a recent incident."
Adelaide does recall what Ronnie Anne told them about the loud family being separated. "Okay, follow me." Adelaide gets up from the steps and she heads into the apartment with Froggy on her head and they follow her.
"Also, my sister and my mom and dad moved in here weeks ago. Ronnie Anne was the first person Sid became friends with and now their BFF's, they tend to do so many things together. From making plans, fixing things, coming up with skate board tricks and dancing to 12 is midnight K-pop songs."
Lincoln was surprised how much has changed for Ronnie Anne here in the city, Luna felt like Ronnie Anne might have made more than just a friend. Everything Adelaide just described seemed like there was something more. Jordan however was excited to let Ronnie Anne and Sid listen to KDA later.
They continue up the stairs. "My dad works for the Great Lake City underground train system and my mom is a zoo keeper. Sometimes she lets animals stay in our apartment whenever they're enclosures need renovations, currently the iguana meatball is staying with us and he makes a good playmate for princesses and dragons."
Lincoln and Luna couldn't help but chuckle a bit. 'Yup, she's Lola and Lana combined.' They do pass by some other people within the building. A teen playing a video game, a kid on the tuba, an old lady playing ping pong, a lady making a house of cards and a man with his little white dog.
But then the dog barks at them. "Nelson! Stop it!" Lincoln and Luna back up as Mr. Nakamura controls his dog. "I am so sorry, he never does this before."
"No problem sir. I guess he must be excited for other people to be up here" replied Lincoln. Though, Lincoln and Luna know why the dog is acting like this. There is an invisible figure with Lincoln and Luna, no one else can see it but the dog Nelson who continues to bark and then growl.
They soon make it to the apartment room of the Casagrandes family. "This is it, this is where they live and I think Sid is also in there hanging out with Ronnie Anne, she likes to use the firescape to visit. Well, as much fun as it was to meet you guys, Froggy and I are gonna go back to our room" replied Adelaide.
"Thanks for guiding us up here Adelaide, you are so adorable!" said Jordan. She pets her head.
Adelaide giggles. "Yeah, I get that sometimes, mostly from my mom, my dad and of course Sid. Well, see you guys around." Adelaide then heads up the stairs to the Chang's apartment room.
Luna, Lincoln and Jordan then look to the door. "This is it guys" said Luna. She then looks towards them. "You two ready?" Lincoln and Jordan look to Luna and nod, they were ready.
Luna knocks on the door. "I'm coming, I'm coming." The person who opens the door was Maria Santiago. "Oh! Luna, Lincoln, what a surprise! This is unexpected."
Lincoln and Luna chuckle. "Yeah, we came by for a reason Mrs. Santiago" replied Luna. "And it might involve the whole family, including Ronnie Anne."
Maria sighs. "Of course, I was actually wondering when you might either call or come by and visit. Also, you don't have to call me Mrs. Santiago Luna, we're both mom's so you can call mw Maria."
Luna chuckles. "A lot of mom's back in Royal Woods say that too, but I would rather be respectful and not say their names yet. I'm still 15 after all."
Maria then lets them in. "Who was at the door Maria?" asked Tio Carlos. Then he sees them. "Oh my!" They are all in the living room and shocked to see the two remaining louds and some girl with brown braided hair in their apartment building.
The familia in the living room watching TV are: Tio Carlos, Tia Frida, Abuelo Hector, Carlota, Carl, CJ, Carlito, Sergio and Lalo.
Hector looks to his coffee and then to his glasses. "Either something was in my coffee, or my glasses are busted and I need new ones pronto." He then checks both his drink and his glasses. "Oh, never mind it was none of them."
Lalo goes over to Lincoln, tackles and licks him making Lincoln laugh. "Okay, okay Lalo! You missed me! Stop please!"
The dog barks and gets off of Lincoln and then goes over to Jordan and licks her as well, making her laugh. "Oh, okay there big guy! I'm new here, I get it. You can stop now." Lalo stops licking and Jordan hugs the large dog. "And I thought my dog Ajax was affectionate, this guy is way beyond that one."
The family goes to them. "What the heck are you guys doing here?" asked Frida.
"I thought there was a restraining order against us?" asked Hector.
Luna sighs. "No there isn't, I never filed a complaint or a restraining order. You guys just let paranoia sink in and think there was one but there wasn't."
"That's a relief." Lincoln, Luna and Jordan then see Ronnie Anne coming out of her room and with her is her BFF Sidney Chang, Sid for short. "Good to see back again Lincoln, I would call you the other name but I decided not to. Sounds like me being a bully again."
Lincoln chuckles. "Well, it's good to see you back in the old hoodie saddle huh Ronnie Anne." then Lincoln sees Sid. "And you must be the best friend of Ronnie Anne, Sid Chang right?"
Sid goes over and hugs Lincoln which catches him off guard and makes him blush. "I am so sorry for what happened to you and what those monsters did to you Lincoln Loud! They must've been so horrible! Ronnie Anne told me everything about what happened and I feel so bad that you had to go through with all of that."
Jordan is a little stunned by this, but it seemed normal. She knows Lincoln is going to get a lot of hugs when school begins, from girls who all feel bad after what had happened to him. Luna is chuckling a bit, this kinda proves her theory that Lincoln is a ladiesman and knows a thing or two on how girls feel.
Lincoln is still stunned and he swears he can smell hot dogs, corn chips, skate park and K-Pop music on this Asian girl and for some reason, he smells Elephant on her. Lincoln then breaks free from her hug and regains himself.
Jordan goes over to him. "You okay there handsome? You seem like you almost got more than one girl on your mind." This makes Luna chuckle and so does Jordan.
Lincoln turns red and looks to Sid. "Yeah, do you constantly hug people out of nowhere?"
"Only to Ronnie Anne, at times." Sid then realizes what she did. "Oh, I am so, so sorry! I guess I was so worried and concerned after the hell you went through. No one should go through that and I am also happy that your best big sister is now your mommy! It's so sweet!"
Luna chuckles and pulls Lincoln close to her. "We had the strong sibling bond, now we have a mother and son bond." Lincoln chuckles and leans onto his mom.
They all awe at this and Frida takes a picture. Sergio then sees someone coming out of her room. "Rawrk! Abuela incoming! Things are about to become dramatic in here!" he then flies off elsewhere.
"What is going on here?" asked Rosa as she arrives. "I heard talking and yelling." She then sees Lincoln and Luna. "Oh dios mio! Lincoln, you're here!"
Rosa goes over to Lincoln but then she's blocked by Luna. "Not so close there lady, any more crazy hugs, antics of superstition or anything ridiculous that leads back to the luck incident and someone is gonna lose more than a limb and be lucky there's a nurse here to tend to you!"
They all remain shocked at what Luna just said to her. Sergio sits on Hector's shoulder. "Rawrk! Sick burn!"
Rosa calms down after seeing Lincoln stay behind Luna, which means he know what happened when they went to the hospital and he was in a coma. "Perhaps we should all sit down, I can tell you must be here to talk about some important things after what has happened and we are all here to listen to the two of you." Then she sees Jordan. "And whoever you are."
Lincoln steps out of hiding, stands next to Jordan and they hold hands, which makes them gasp. "This is Jordan Rosato, she's my girlfriend."
The Casagrandes are shocked by this, mostly Frida, Carlota and Rosa. Ronnie Anne sighs. "Finally! You found someone who's good for you and it does make sense since she did help you out."
Jordan chuckles. "Well, it's good to see you Ronnie Anne and for the record we liked each other when we were in kindergarten. Way before he met Ronnie Anne and Christina."
Ronnie Anne smirks. "Talk about long lost love life." Sid awes at this cute thing they have.
Rosa feels as if what she hoped for was being tampered with by this girl. But she remains calm. "I shall make us all snacks! You must be starving after a long trip, so let me make you all something."
"No." They all stop and look to Luna with her stern expression. "We're not hungry, we already ate lunch when we were on the road at one of the truck stops, so there's no need to feed us Mrs. Rosa Casagrande."
"My mom is right" replied Lincoln. "Those truck stop ribs sure hit the spot and the pie too."
"I had the fried chicken and curly fries" replied Jordan. "And I have never seen such clean truck stop restrooms before."
They all look to Rosa who puts her spatula away. "Okay, so why don't we all sit down now and talk then." She feels a bit tense, the family can feel it and so can Luna and she is ready to unleash their last resort who is still with them.
Hector looks to Sergio. "Sergio, I want you to go to the Mercado and tell Bobby to come up here, and let the store close for the day too."
"Rawrk, can you let someone else do that part? This whole day is getting interesting and I am not missing any of it" replied Sergio.
"Dude! He said go and get Roberto Santiago already! Stop being such a lazy feather brained beak for breathe!" yelled Luna. This scares the Casagrandes and Sergio.
"R-Rawrk! O-Okay!" He flies off to the Mercado at great speed.
Lincoln and Jordan sit next to Luna and Lincoln holds her hand. Luna sighs and hugs Lincoln. "I'm really, really stressed right now and this place isn't making it feel better."
Lincoln hugs her back and what he's about to say makes sense. "Because they remind us of the old family, I know. I feel stressed out too mom."
The Casagrande family gasps hearing this, they described them to the old loud family. The very same family that made all this chaos and pandemonium happen.
Ronnie Anne sighs. "I actually knew, we have a big family and Lincoln and Luna had the same thing, this family has its own brand of chaos just as the louds once did. So it all makes perfect sense." Even Maria agreed and so did Sid.
Tio Carlos thinks about it. "Ronnie Anne is not wrong, we do have similar traits as the loud family."
Tio Carlos is smart and this logic was damn right correct. Then they hear someone come upstairs and the door opens with Sergio flying in and hiding behind the couch.
"What's going on? Why are we closing the Mer …" Bobby stops when he sees Lincoln, Luna and a girl with brown braided hair on one of the arm chairs. "Lincoln? Luna? What the heck are you two doing here?"
Maria sighs. 'Bobby, we all need to listen to what Lincoln and Luna have to say, it's very important."
Bobby nods and he sits next to Ronnie Anne and Sid. Maria just remains standing.
Luna starts off. "Okay, so I didn't file up a complaint about you guys and I did not call in for a restraining order. You guys just have been letting doubt and worry get to your heads and insight paranoia, similar to the old fam when they believed in bad luck."
That was also logic Tio Carlos can confirm. "So does that mean we can come by and visit you guys?" asked CJ.
"Not exactly dude" replied Luna. "We're still going through some changes and trying our hardest to make things within this small family of ours work and we had to go through some problems along the way, and most of them almost ended in deep trauma for the both of us. But we always find a way to pull through. With or without any help."
"Oh dios mio! You two alone and going through hard times?!" said Frida. "Are you two sure you guys don't need any help with things?"
Lincoln nods. "We're sure, we have each other and our closest friends and loved ones by our sides. That's okay with us."
"So, there's no need for you guys to come by and visit? Or for some of us to visit?" asked Carl.
"No Carl, though we will make some small visits here to Great Lake City and we'll talk to the detectives on letting only Ronnie Anne and possibly Sid to come by and visit too" replied Lincoln. This makes Ronnie Anne happy and Sid excited. Then Lincoln looks to Carl sternly. "And we know you wanna go to Royal Woods because you saw the teenage girls who were there during the court scene."
Carl chuckles nervously. "What? No way! I wouldn't, I mean it's not like I'm looking for someone who is a far more elegant gazelle than Lori!"
Carlota sighs. "Oh god! Here we go again with Carl trying to think he's cool! Carl, what you're doing sounds more stalker related than crush related!"
"Am not!" yelled Carl. "It's not like I want them to be attracted to me so that I could show the girls how cool I am and one day hang out with them in a pool!" Then he stops when he realized what he just said.
"Oh, busted Carl!" said CJ.
Frida and Carlos look to their son. "Carl, we are going to have a long and hard talk with you later." Carl knew he was in deep trouble.
"So that part is done, none of you are to visit unless it's Ronnie Anne, Sid or Maria." Luna then looks to Bobby. "Bobby, I wanna apologize for what I said at the court house weeks ago. I was just angry at what you didn't do when Lori kept doing all of that stuff to Lincoln."
Bobby sighs. "You don't have to be sorry, I guess I'm not as smart as I thought. But I am trying my hardest to improve myself. So that I can be better when I have to go to college."
"He's telling the truth" replied Carlos. "Normally I would be honored to help Bobby with his low intelligence span, but he insisted on doing the work himself and let me do my own work. So I let him borrow some of my books and he is progressing well."
That was enough to make Lincoln and Luna smile, but they knew he had a long way to go after all he has done. "Lincoln." The white-haired boy looks to Bobby. "I am so, so sorry that Lori did all of that to you when we were dating! I should've seen it coming, but I let my love for Lori get the best of me and now look, the loud family is broken and almost all of them are paying the price in juvie."
Lincoln can see Bobby feels so much regret. "Bobby, I can forgive you." This makes them all shocked, except for Luna and Jordan, they know he would say that. "But I can't trust you anymore, that part is not going to be easy to earn back from me and I don't think I can ever see you as the good big brother figure like you used to be, I hope you understand."
Bobby sheds some tears and wipes them away. "Okay, I understand. I guess this kinda breaks all the old ties we had between us huh?"
Lincoln sighs. "I guess so, sorry Bobby. But I have a new life now and I wanna see how far I can make this small family of myself and Luna go on, I wanna know what my new future holds." He then holds Jordan's hand. "And with this lovely lady by my side."
Jordan blushes and shares a small kiss with Lincoln. This was kinda a total shocked to them, but Frida and Carlota can see that this was Lincoln's choice and now deep down they were feeling kinda bad for always pinning Lincoln with Ronnie Anne. They had no idea what to even say.
Ronnie Anne smiles. "Now you guys see? Lincoln and I were never meant to be, we're just friends and that kiss from Jean-Juan's? That was just so Lori won't stop blaming Lincoln for the stupid break up between Lori and Bobby!"
Bobby can tell his little sister has some small resent against him, but he has to try and earn back her trust again. Things are changing and it is hard to adapt. "Well I for one always saw you with Lincoln." They all look to Rosa.
"Here we go" said Luna sternly.
"Mija, Lincoln is a good boy and you are a girl who needs some guidance and not just from the family, but from someone who can be there for you. That is how I met Hector, we were meant to be and my familia saw it as well" replied Rosa.
All of them cannot believe what they are hearing. "Why not just be with Lincoln? Let him show you he can be a good boyfriend for you, I have been putting all my beliefs and hopes that you two would be together one day and for some reason it hasn't worked."
Ronnie Anne pinches the bridge of her nose and is angry. "For goodness sakes Abuela! We go through this dumb talk over and over. I. Do not. Have a thing. For Lincoln Loud! We're just friends, end of story! We've always been friends and I paid my debt when I was grounded and now I know that being the bully was the worst thing ever! And it all started when mom and dad got divorced."
They all gasp and look at Maria who is stunned. She looks to her daughter. "This is what you did after me and your father separated? Why didn't you tell me about this mija?"
Ronnie Anne sighs. "Because I didn't want you to worry about me, but now I see just how far things have gotten after everything that has happened in Royal Woods. I became the school bully, Lincoln was forced onto many dates with me just because Lori was dating Bobby and now this, this stupid idea from Bobby that me and Loud were meant to be. But we're not!"
Bobby sheds a few tears and realizes this. "W-What have I done? This is … Is all because of me! I gave all of them the idea of Lincoln being your boyfriend!"
Lincoln puts the pieces of the puzzle together. "Wow, talk about one insane family." They all look to Jordan. "I was really expecting you guys would be just like the louds, but I take it all back. You guys are almost ways worse as the louds."
"You all believe in crazy superstitions about some dumb garbage from zodiac signs, tarot cards and tea leaves, that stuff has been around during the time lots of people were being scammed out of their cash and trust me I have been down that road and so has my dad. You all believe in the slightest rumor and it spreads like wildfire without any proof of evidence, you barely see how the others are feeling and something that can be fixed but it can't."
"Also, all that garbage with romance and junk, that was all in the past. Well this, this is the 21st freaking century and sure as hell it ain't the 50's, it's not the 60's or any of those timelines that were the worst moments in history. Kids and teenagers have their own ways of finding out who they are and what they wanna be, and how they find love. You can't just stick to one small belief and just go with it, that's just being mean and pushing the kids to their limits."
Jordan then looks to Rosa. "Ma'am, I understand that you want Lincoln and Ronnie Anne to be together, but you don't seem to see how much all you're pestering to her about it is so annoying, and picture this. What would happen if Lincoln and Ronnie Anne were forced into a relationship because of all of you? They're friendship would become awkward and would be turned into something they didn't want, they would end up barely talking to each other and remain silent against the people who wanted them this, they would be isolated from making boy and girl friends and would be outcasted by many and lastly, they could spiral into a deep, dark hole that leads to the one thing that would be their last resort to end this family forced relationship."
They don't know what that would be, but Lincoln knows. "Suicide."
Luna's eyes go wide and she looks to her son. "Yeah, that's the final plan for kids who have been pushed to the brink, I tried not to think about it when I was forced into the whole luck scenario, and I'm glad I avoided it."
Ronnie Anne sighs. "Yeah, that is a last resort and Jordan isn't wrong. Chances of that could happen." She then looks to her Tio Carlos. "Tell me Tio, is what she says true? Be honest."
Carlos thinks about it, then he goes wide eyed and recalls all he has seen, heard and read. "She's ….. Jordan is right, she's right."
They all look to Ronnie Anne and Lincoln, they're ideas of making them into a couple is forcing them into something they do not want and would lead to a death wish, a self-made death wish. Maria hugs her daughter. "I am so sorry about all of this Ronalda! Why didn't I see this in the first place?!"
Ronnie Anne sheds some tears and she hugs her mom, Sid sees this is a sign of pure distress from her friend and so she hugs Ronnie Anne, and she also pulls Sid in for a hug as well. Bobby feels like he should hug her too, but he decides not to and thinks about all the dates he went to with Lori, and with Lincoln and Ronnie Anne.
All the other Casagrandes were now feeling bad about this. Frida looks to her son CJ. "CJ, take Carlito and Carl and go into your room please, we need to talk like adults here, and take Sergio and Lalo with you."
CJ nods and takes Carlito and holds Carl's hand. "Come on guys, we need to let the big people talk now." Lalo also follows them.
"Rawrk! But I wanna stay!" Sergio then sees everyone looking at him sternly, and then he sees Luna's glare and for some reason Sergio's face has been burnt like he was blasted by a shotgun. "You know what, I'll just be going." Sergio flies into CJ's room and they close the door.
They all focus onto Rosa. Rosa thinks about all of this and sighs in defeat. "I ….. I am so, so sorry." She then looks to Ronnie Anne. "I …. I didn't know that this, this was all causing so much trouble to you mija. I shouldn't have let superstition get the best of me, I am so sorry everyone. Especially to you Lincoln."
Ronnie Anne gets up and goes over to her abuela and hugs her, and she hugs her granddaughter back. Maria knew she had to talk to Arturo about this. Lincoln was glad this was all sorted out and that his relationship problems was dealt with.
Rosa and Ronnie Anne break the hug. "Jordan, thank you for letting us see the truth and our mistakes. We'll try and make things different from now on, to avoid and problems with Ronnie Anne and ourselves, and like Lincoln and Luna we will also try and make some changes. Just in case."
Jordan smiles. "After all that has happened, change is something we all need, and I fear things aren't going to go well when class begins."
"Let me guess, 90 percent of the kids there in Royal Woods are busy at their vacations that they don't know about what's been happening?" asked Ronnie Anne.
"That's the whole story" replied Lincoln, he seemed worried.
"Well, from experience I think the best option is to have your closest pals and your gal to be there and keep things chill, should something go wrong then either ignore it or report it" replied Sid. They all look to her. "What? I went through some weird stuff back then in my old school, and let's just say it's a story for another time."
Luna was glad things were sorted out here, and that there was no more issues between them and the Casagrandes. "Luna." Luna looks to the grandmother of the family. "I am sorry for my actions when I went to the hospital, and for the rest of my familia. We should've known better and we should've done more instead of making things worse for you and your son."
"We understand if you're still feeling distraught with us, we know you're being protective over your son" replied Hector.
"Maybe one day we can all come together and be like a close family friend, all of us" said Frida.
"And we'll make sure some of our kids don't do anything rash and get into any sort of trouble, and I think we should have a long talk to them about pulling pranks on Carlota when she baby sits" said Carlos.
Carlota signs in relief. "Thank goodness for that." She then looks to Ronnie Anne, she knows that she had a part to play into the many times she tried to make Ronnie Anne pretty for a boy, she just hopes she hasn't lost the big sister figure into her cousin.
Maria goes to Luna. "From one mother to another, I hope you and me can have some talk whenever you have any problems. But I know you have another mother who can talk to you." Maria knows, from seeing how good Jordan was at talking, her mom must be very supportive.
Luna smiles. "Thanks, Maria. I'll consider that option, and to the rest of you. I think it'll be some time before I can see some of you to be trusted." They all understand. Luna then strokes her son's white hair. "I guess the emergency precaution plan is no longer needed." Lincoln also agrees and so does Jordan.
The Casagrandes were confused by this, and then CJ, Carl, Carlitos, Lalo and Sergio come out. "Is the big talk over? Can we come out now?"
Ronnie Anne looks to Luna. "What emergency precaution plan? What was your last resort?"
Then they see on of Abuela's scented candles move and then fall off the table. "What was that?" asked Carlota.
"Is there a sudden earthquake in here?" asked Frida. Then they see the picture of their family being held up as if someone was looking at it, then it's placed back down. They all gasp in shock.
"We're all seeing this right?" asked CJ. "What's going on?" asked Carl as he hides behind CJ.
Lalo can sense something and he hides behind Hector's chair and Sergio loses all the colors from his feathers and his head is following something that they cannot see. "Rawrk! Abandon house! Abandon house!" He flies out the window.
They then see Abuela's tarot cards floating. "Dios mio! What is going on here?! Who is doing this?!" Then the cards fall into the trash bin, then Lincoln gets up and looks as if he's hugging someone.
He then breaks the hug and looks to all of them. "Everyone, this is our Great Grandma Harriet Willard, the mother of our grandfather Albert and she's been living in our house and following us as our protector from beyond."
Then the figure appears and they all look in shock and dread. "Hello Casagrandes, I heard about your family's history with the Mexican revolutionist Pancho Villa, it shocks for me to know your bloodline served under the man who waged war and tried to take the states of Texas, how intriguing."
Frida faints, Carl faints, Carlota faints, Bobby faints and Hector faints? "A ghost?! An actual ghost?!" said Carlos in shock.
Harriet looks towards the smart man in the room. "Please do not say anything racist about me, I find it offensive in both spiritual and … What the heck are you doing?" She sees Rosa holding a rosary in front of her.
Harriet sighs and goes towards the eldest matriarch in the family and she grabs the rosary from her. "This Mexican superstitious doesn't work, it's just none sense that only takes session with your own kind. I am beyond that and getting stronger, every freaking day."
Abuela Rosa then puts her arms in the air and tries to remain calm. "I …. I am so sorry, I didn't think an actual spirit would show itself to our home. Are you a bad spirit?"
"Was, but only to those who would threaten the only two members of the house I reside and own. Lincoln and Luna are the last ones I see as family and I wish to aid them on this small excursion to see how far they can go, I am their protector and they are my unfinished business."
Rosa calms down and smiles. "I see, it is an honor to meet you and I apologize for what I have been doing to my granddaughter and to your great grandson."
Harriet smiles as well. "All in good times Rosa Casagrande, if Lincoln is willing to understand and probably forgive then so am I. But Luna's trust is just like mine, it will be some time for me to get used to all of you and you all remind me of the family who tore the household apart."
The others calm down and see that she isn't a threat, much. Sid raises her hand. "What is your question?"
"Can you make people float?" asked Sid. They all look to her confused. "What? I wanna know."
"Yes I can." Harriet then chuckles. "But I am not helping you and Ronnie Anne with your skate boarding tricks."
"Dang it!" replied Sid and Ronnie Anne and they all end up laughing. This was the beginning of a good family understanding and possible friendship.
(Skip, Later.)
Lincoln and Jordan are at the firescape talking to Ronnie Anne and Sid and telling them of the things that have been going on in Royal Woods, and also telling them about the game League of Legends and the K-Pop song they have called KDA.
Maria and Frida are having a nice talk with Luna, and she also shares to them her relationship with her girlfriend Sam Sharp, she also shares with them some advice when it comes to handling your kid who might have troublesome problems and some advice to the mother of Bobby and Ronnie Anne, they have the close similarity to being a single mom. Even Carlota joins in their talks.
Carlos and Hector with CJ and Carl are at the Mercado helping Bobby, they know he's feeling upset and stuff. Even a lollipop from Carlitos isn't helping him.
Lalo and Sergio are still hiding.
Rosa is having a blast with Harriet. "This is how I make my world famous Tamales!"
Harriet looks at the plate of Tamales. "Hmm, it does contain various elements that make them healthy and delicious, well done. I specialize at making scones and good tea, especially food that can help with medical problems."
Rosa then has an idea, she closes the window and door to her kitchen. "I know we can't seem to come over and visit Lincoln and Luna, so I am going to tell you the secret to my Tamales and how to make them properly."
Harriet is stunned by this. "Rosa, there is no need for this. This is a family recipe and I wouldn't want to copy it from you."
"No, no. I insist and I don't mind sharing it." Then she whispers to Harriet. "And the thing is, I have done so already."
"You what?"
Rosa nods. "Si, I shared the recipe to a food truck so I can be able to get my hands on some free or discount tools and hardware supplies. The others don't know, it's my secret."
Harriet smiles hearing this. "Very clever and your secret is safe with me, and I think I will accept you sharing your recipe of Tamales, I could make some for Lincoln and Luna to make them feel better."
Rosa chuckles. "It is the duty of grandparents to do this for their descendants, and we both have the same thing in common." They both chuckle at this newly found friendship they have made and are looking forward for more to come.
A/N: I hope this was okay guys, I made sure that the Casagrandes would not be hated, but instead would try and see things differently and perhaps help in future chapters in any problems.
