School hasn't begun yet, so I think it's about time Lincoln and Luna chilled with some very familiar gals from the Royal Woods High School and possibly some gals from the Middle School as well. Enjoy reading this folks.
Family of Two.
Chapter 24: Teen friends.
(Royal Woods Mall.)
Lincoln and Luna both get out of the car and they look to the mall. "You ready to do some last minute mall time Linc?" asked Luna to her son.
Lincoln smiles. "Yeah, I am and this is gonna be fun." They both head into the mall and look around. "Looks like a lot of other kids are here, I can see Trent, Artie and Lance." Lincoln does see then come out of the sportswear store.
"I don't think these guys even know what's happening" replied Luna. "They seem more interested in hanging out with their other pals and sharing what they all did than knowing what happened here in Royal Woods."
"They'll figure it out when they get to school soon, until then I think they should enjoy this moment of smiles before it all turns down bad real fast" replied Lincoln, he then holds Luna's hand. "Let's go and see what's new in the music store."
Luna smiles and she tightens her grip onto her son's hand and they walk towards the music store, but they fail to notice Lance, Trent and Artie looking at them.
"Huh, so Kat was right about Lincoln and Luna" said Trent. "Oh man, we gotta keep track of the news in town more often."
"I feel bad for Lincoln and his big sis- I mean mom" said Artie. "This feels so weird to say, I think we're the only kids next to our gals who knows about this."
"We should be there to support him at school" said Lance. "Our gals are friends with him, so I think we should too and make sure Chandler and his dorks don't do anything stupid to Lincoln." Artie and Trent agree with Lance and they make their way out of the mall.
Lincoln and Luna continue walking to the music store, but they do pass by Benny and Maggie and wave at them, then they see some other teens from the High School and Middle School and all of them look to Lincoln and Luna and feel bad for them, like Ruby and Spencer.
"Looks like the teen dudes now know, good for them" replied Luna. "Adds less pressure on me when I go back to school." She then sees the concerned look on Lincoln's face. "You okay kiddo?"
Lincoln sighs. "School might not be so easy for me, I'm bound to get the attention from everyone there."
Luna then pulls him close to her. "Don't let any of that bother you kiddo, just as long as you got some friends and your best gal by your side then they won't cause any trouble to you and just be greatful there are lots of other people and kids around town who are all in with us and what we've been through."
Lincoln smiles hearing this. "Yeah, your right. Sorry mom, but I've been doubting myself way too many times and I just can't seem to stop it."
"No worries buddy" said Luna. "Now come on, the music store awaits." They both spot the place and they both go into the building, they are unaware that once again Lisa sees them along with her sisters Darcy and they're mom.
(Later.)
Lincoln and Lune exit the store with a few things. "Well, there really isn't much to find in there" said Luna. "So, where do you wanna go next kiddo? The arcade?"
Lincoln thinks about it. "Actually I think I need a new pair of socks, just in case and maybe some fresh new underwear too. I know my B-Day is coming in October and I just wanna be prepared."
Luna smiles, she knows his birthday is coming up too. "Okay little dude, let's go to the clothes store." They both keep walking, and once again Luna notices the electronics store and sees the computer is still there with the tablet, only this time it also comes with a brand new laptop. 'Looks like Linc's gift just got a heck of a bonus. I think I should buy it tomorrow before it's sold.' They then continue walking towards the nearest clothes store and that clothes store happens to be the one place where Leni visits.
(Reiningers.)
"Alright Linc, let's go and see what we can find" said Luna. They then see two people who Leni has met before, only interacted but never worked with.
"Hey there kid" said Fiona. "The names Fiona, you two don't know me but Leni does. She always comes by here for some clothes and at times we talk." They then see her co-worker helping with Scoots. "Oh, and that's Miguel, he handles with some of the clothes but moistly does skin care products and part time yoga instructor. Also, you may have heard of me when I was helping out Jackie and Mandee and Carol in watching over your kid from his date."
Lincoln looks to his mom and smiles. "Is that so?" He knew someone was watching him that day.
Luna chuckles nervously. "Well it's nice to meet you Fiona. We're just here to do some light clothes shopping."
"Go ahead then and take a look around, if you guys need any help then just come to me" replied Fiona, then she recalls something. "Also, I know about Leni changing her ways in the mental hospital and I'm really happy for her."
Luna and Lincoln are both stunned and confused. "How did you know that?" asked Lincoln.
Fiona realized she just said that, and she wasn't supposed to tell them. Fiona sighs. "Okay, okay. So two of Leni's friends may have overheard you two talking to your dates on that one time and they sent the news to some of their closest friends and I do count as one of them."
Luna sighs. "I guess the word is going out, does anyone else know? Who are the teens who know about this?"
Fiona didn't seem to have a choice but to tell her. "Carol, Dana, Becky, Whitney, Teri, Jackie and Mandee. I swear it's just them who know as well as myself and Miguel, everyone else has no clue about Leni, or so that's what I'm told. Sorry you two."
Lincoln sighs. "It's alright Fiona, I guess word around here moves fast and most people tend to eavesdrop, kinda reminds me of old times. Well we should get to our shopping now" Lincoln holds his mom's hand and leads her away from Fiona.
Though Fiona could see the upset look she was getting from the 15 year old mom. Fiona didn't wanna get into trouble with these two and it seems trouble has found her. "This is bad."
"What is bad?" asked Miguel.
Lincoln and Luna walk around the place and they continue to shop for what Lincoln needs and they soon find them. As well as something else he can use. "Are you sure about this Linc? Usually you read in your underwear."
"I'm positive, change is coming and I think it's time for me to break out of my barely wearing clothes while I'm reading phase" replied Lincoln as he holds the new pants he's carrying. "These cotton jeans could do the trick and plus they look kinda snug."
Luna smiled hearing this. "Well, I'm glad we found something more than just socks and underwear for ya, and I'm glad I was able to get some new jacket and shirt wardrobe. This shopping has been rockin'."
"Lincoln? Luna?" They both turn around and they see the three girls who helped Luna keep an eye on Lincoln during his date with Jordan. Jackie, Mandee and Carol, and with them are Dana, Becky and Whitney.
Lincoln smiled seeing them. "Hey girls, we're just doing some shopping here."
"Oh gosh, it is so great to see you guys!" said Carol as she approaches them, and so do the other girls, then Jackie and Mandee hug Lincoln.
"We're so sorry you had to go through all that stuff." said Jackie. "We're here if you need anyone to talk to."
"You are such a nice boy, even though you went through hard and bad times you know how to make a girl so happy!" said Mandee.
Lincoln felt awkward being hugged by these two sixteen year old teens. "Umm, can you let me go, this is getting kinda awkward and I don't wanna have Jordan see this."
They then break the hug. "Take it easy now Lincoln, we're all friends here and sure as heck we know Jordan would understand, she knows you need friends to help you and your mom out."
Becky looks to Luna. "A lot of other teens know about you and Linc and what's been happening and they will do their part to see if you guys need some help. Don't be too shy to ask guys."
Luna then crosses her arms. "So I'm told, do they all know about Leni trying to get through her hard times in the Mental Hospital which was supposed to be kept between those my son and I trust?"
Hearing Luna say that struck them. They realize what she mans and she does not look happy. "Luna, we are so sorry about that. But we swear that it literally is only known by us and Fiona and Miguel, we swear on it" said Whitney.
Luna was about to say something, but her son intervenes. "Tell the rest of the high school please."
They all gasp at what he just said, and so does Luna. She looks onto her son. "Linc, what are you doing?"
"Mom, Leni will need all the support she can get. She needs friends who are all willing to understand she's trying to change" replied Lincoln. "Sure some of the teens might resent her, but when they hear about this then they will understand that deep down she's still the kind hearted and most selfless girl they all know and love. She was just pushed by the others into following, and they'll know she didn't mean for any of it to happen. She needs friends, just like me and you, and Lucy as well."
At first Luna feels like this is a bad idea, but then she thinks about it and so do the girl. "Okay Linc, if you think this is a good idea. Then I'll support it as well." She then looks to the other girls. "You think you can spread the rumor to the rest of the high school?"
Carol smiles and places a hand onto Luna's shoulder. "We can do that Luna, we can do that."
"We can go to the Royal Woods High School Social Media page and only let them know about Leni, no one else outside of the High School will know and we'll make sure of it" replied Mandee.
"We got your back, and we also have Leni's back" replied Jackie.
Hearing that was enough to make Lincoln smile. Becky then has an idea. "You know what, since we're all here and we finished our shopping. How about we all go for lunch? All of us, including Lincoln and Luna."
They all agree to it, and then they look to Lincoln and Luna who look towards each other and then to the girls. "Sure."
They all head to the register, but then they see Fiona and Miguel trip and fall out of the changing room that was next to them. "You two were eavesdropping weren't you?" asked Luna.
Fiona and Miguel both chuckled nervously. "Sorry."
Lincoln helps them up. "It's okay, as long as two of Leni's friends from the mall are also in support of this, then everything is fine. We consider you guys as friends as well."
"Thanks Lincoln, you're not a bad kid" replied Miguel. "And if you want, I could give you a style that could really woo your girl the next time you got a date."
Lincoln chuckles. "I'll think about that Miguel, though to be honest she seems to love me no matter what I look like, and I feel the same for her." The teen girls awed at this and thought he was so sweet.
Fiona then breaks it up. "Alright girls, let's not sway over the 11 year old boy we all suddenly are crushing on and get to the register to check you guys out."
The girls look to Fiona in anger. "Hey! We do not have a crush on him."
Lincoln chuckles as he walks. "Sure sounds like it, and I thought Clyde acted this weird." Carol and the others chuckle nervously at this, this was going to get awkward all of a sudden.
Luna smirks. "That's my boy, more than just a kid who can bring love onto the plate to a Rosato and now bringing it to girls older than him."
They then get to the register and they check out the stuff they bought, but then Luna covers her son's eyes so he doesn't see the inappropriate stuff some of them bought. Lincoln knows what his mom is doing and he knows he's not ready to see what they bought.
Later, they all head out of Reiningers and they're not alone. Fiona and Miguel are with them since it's their lunch break. "So, are you planning on bringing Jordan on another date anytime soon?" asked Dana.
"Probably somewhere around the second week of September, Friday maybe" replied Lincoln.
"You are too romantic for your own good, Carol showed us what you did on your date with Jordan and the way you asked her to be your girlfriend was just so sweet!" said Whitney.
Lincoln looks to Carol who chuckles nervously. "Sorry, I wanted them to know how much of a good kid you can be, especially when it comes to romance."
"I guess hanging out with lots of girls made you into the boy of love advice" said Miguel, then he realizes what he just said. "I'm sorry, was the too personal?"
"Not at all, that stuff is in the past and I may have slight issues with a certain event that nearly made me into an idiot" said Lincoln. Luna can tell he's talking about the Girl Guru thing.
"Son, that was long ago and you most certainly did not know what you were doing because you didn't know what it's like to have someone you love the most into your life." Luna pulls her son close and places her hand onto his shoulder. "But you have someone with you know, and I don't see the girl guru anymore, I see a good kid who now understands the things around him."
Lincoln smiles and looks to his mom. "Thanks mom, I needed that."
The others don't know what this 'Girl Guru' thing is, and they decide not to ask anymore. They then spot the food court and head towards it.
They all take their seats and Carol gets up. "Alright so anything you guys want, I'll buy them."
Luna gets up. "You're being too kind Pingrey, let me do the purchase and you guys can hang back here and try and get to know Lincoln more, like you guys said, he needs some friends who can understand him. Besides his normal crew of guys and gals."
They all smiled hearing Luna do this and they place down what they all want to eat for lunch and Luna writes it all down and she heads to the food stands, but not before giving her son a hug and a kiss on the forehead. "Be right back kiddo." She then heads off to get their food.
Lincoln always felt calm and at ease when Luna did that, then he sees the smiles from the teenagers. Then Lincoln looks to Carol. "Carol, are you and Lori really rivals?"
Carol sighs. "That's what Lori thinks, in truth I have been trying to be better than her because she seems way beyond my league. I never really saw her as my rival, I just wanted to be as good as she is, or better yet more. I was thinking about telling her the truth that our competitiveness was getting out of hand and ridiculous, but then all of this happened and now I see that she is not the best kind of girl I wanna be. I made a terrible mistake trying to be better than her, sorry Lincoln."
"It's okay Carol, you didn't know and neither did Lori" replied Lincoln. "Sometimes we don't know what we're doing and it'll turn bad real fast before it even turns out right."
"So, are you planning to visit anyone else besides Leni?" asked Whitney. "You did mention Lucy, which means you have talked to her."
"Well, mom and I are going to check on Luan next year, and we're actually thinking of lightening the sentence from the other louds so that when they're out we can hear what they have to say about everything that has happened. As for Lucy, mom and I are on good terms with her, we know she was just scared and had no choice but to follow the others into this mess they made" replied Lincoln.
They were happy that they're making good stride into forgiving the people who were once they're family, though some of them don't see the others being so easily forgiven. They don't seem to trust Lynn Jr, Lori and the parents.
"So, you guys planning on visiting Leni again soon?" asked Fiona.
"We are, maybe somewhere before October we're gonna go and check on her and see how she's doing" replied Lincoln, then he has an idea. "I know some of you have been known as good friends to Leni, so maybe I can ask mom if some of you can tag along."
They were all shocked hearing this. "What? Really? Are you sure about that?" asked Miguel.
Lincoln nods. "To the friends Leni knows the most, and the ones I have seen visit the house back then. Jackie, Mandee, Fiona, Miguel and Becky."
They didn't know what to say, this kid is letting them tag along so they can go and check out on how Leni was doing. "I think that's a rad idea son." They all see Luna who comes back with their drinks. "The food is on its way, we have to be patient."
Luna sits next to her son and she hands the others their sodas and smoothies. "I think Leni deserves to see her friends who support her with what she's trying to do, she might be hesitant and become a bit doubtful but with some small talk she might reconsider leaving the place a bit sooner than a year."
They all smiled to the idea. Miguel, Fiona, Jackie, Mandee and Becky look to each other and smile then they look to Lincoln and Luna. "We'd love to tag along." This was all turning out great for Lincoln and Luna, and they know Leni will appreciate this too.
"Wow! You already made High School friends." They all see Jordan and her mom go towards them with their food and drinks. "Nice to see you again my white-haired crusader."
"Mind if we joined you guys?" asked Jesse.
"Not at all" replied Luna. "We're all friends and family here." Jesse sits next to Luna and Jordan sits next to Lincoln, they share a small kiss to each other on their cheeks and blush, gaining an "Awe" from the others.
"So, what anything else you guys wanna talk about?" asked Jordan. "Because something tells me some of you have noticed the whole dating thing between Linc and myself and I can only assume you guys spied on us during our date when he asked me to be his girlfriend."
Carol, Fiona, Jackie and Mandee are shocked to hear this. 'How the heck does she know?'
Dana does ask something. "Lincoln, we know that lots of kids at your school hasn't heard about the whole court thing. We know that by the time you get to school soon that you might get teased and mocked for what happened, well we got your back and so do the friends you got."
The others also understand this. "If they think about pushing you around, then we'll take care of it."
"We're not letting a good kid like you get picked on by some bullies" said Mandee. "They'll be so surprised that you got some big kid help, some Royal big kid help."
"A lot of teens at the High School have your backs, they all know you guys have been through so much and they aren't going to let some low level meanies get the best of you" said Jackie.
Lincoln was kinda surprised by this, the whole High School has his back, and some part of him believes the same goes for the middle school. Lincoln is about to say something, but his mom intervenes.
"Thanks for the offer and support gals, but don't you worry about the Elementary School. Come tomorrow I'm going to have a talk with Huggins about some new rules to be added to the school and I'll be given back up by the two detectives and the letter I got from the government dudes, the law abiding agencies and the school board, they think change should head to the grade school and make sure bullying is illegal."
They all smiled hearing that. "And I'm tagging along as well, you're going to need some family friend support" said Jesse.
"Then I guess change is going to make things around town go into the right way and it won't be the same troubled place to live like the old times" replied Carol. The others also agreed.
They soon get their food and they all eat lunch and they chat about some things, and Lincoln and Luna decide to let the teens come by and visit sometime, and also inform them of the ghost living in the house as well.
But unknown to them, that Margo is listening to this. She's known Lynn Junior since they started Middle School and have been best friends, but ever since the whole court situation she has finally seen Lynn's true colors and now seeks to help out the one kid who needs to find some closure from all of this. 'Don't worry guys, I'll make sure me and the gals got your back and so do the rest of the Middle School'
Margo then heads out of the mall, Lincoln notices the 13 year old leaving the place and he smiles. More and more kids and people were going to have his and his mom's back.
A/N: Looks like they got more friends by their side, whether it be pals from the school, or High School or the Middle School and Luna is set and ready to talk to Principal Huggins to add the major changes to the school, and he has to make them happen or forever be scolded by more than one mom in town. Leave a review and tell me what you all think.
