Time for an all-day moment between Lincoln, Luna and the baby who was once their sister, Lily. Enjoy this folks and this would lead to why Lily is okay with Great Grandma Harriet from the "What If" scenario "Crime: Future."

Family of two.

Chapter 28: A day with Lilster.

(Ketcham Park.)

Lincoln and Luna step out of the car and they both head towards the park, they wave when they see Tabby and Liam pass by them, looks like they're having a nice Sunday stroll.

They enter the park and they spot Trent, Artie and Lance playing with their laptops by some picnic benches, Stella and Mollie playing some chess, Flat Tire riding around on his bike and Rusty and Polly skipping stones by the lake.

"Okay son, you ready to spend the day with the Lilster we once knew and related to?" asked Luna. She can tell Lincoln looks happy.

"I am, I am so ready to spend the day with Lily" replied Lincoln. "I know we did see her when we hang out with the D. Pingrey's but I wanna hang out with her like old times. Back when …. When we were all family."

Luna knows how he feels, having Lily around brings back so many good memories, memories they both treasure still.

"Over there!" Lincoln points and they see them. Tristen and Elena D. Pingrey, and they're both pushing on the stroller and inside is Lily D. Pingrey. Lincoln and Luna go over to greet them. "Hey Mr. and Mrs. D. Pingrey." He then looks to the infant in the stroller. "Hey there Lily, how are you doing today?"

Lily giggles, laughs and claps as she's hugging her teddy bear. "Way! Way! Wee! Goo-Goo!"

Elena chuckles. "She seems really, really happy today. Almost like she knows what's gonna happen or she understands what she's going to do today and who she's meeting."

Luna chuckles at this. "They do say babies are smarter than adults, that ain't no lie. So, why do you guys want us to watch over Lily anyway?"

"Well, Elena and I are going to celebrate our anniversary, I have the day off to spend time with my wife and we need someone to look after this Lily flower, Carol is busy with her friends and an early school project" replied Tristen. "We knew there would be two people who could do the job and keep an eye on Lily, two people who know her as much as we do. So, what do you guys say?"

Luna looks to Lincoln, Lincoln is letting Lily play with his hand and this makes them both chuckle and smile. Luna smiles and looks to the parents. "Sure, we'll do it. We have been taking care of Lily for as long as we've known her."

"Thank you so much Luna." Elena let's Luna take the stroller. "Her story book is in the back pocket, including her bottle of milk and some fresh diapers, you guys can take her around for a stroll and also bring her back to your place."

"We'll come by your house when we're done with our anniversary for the day" replied Tristen. "Thanks again guys."

"No problem Mr. D. Pingrey, we'll keep an eye on Lily and make sure she's happy" replied Lincoln, he then picks up Lily and hands her to Elena.

"See you soon my little Lily flower." Elena kisses Lily's nose and cheeks and then her forehead which makes Lily giggles. "I know you'll be good, we'll come back later to bring you home."

Lily laughs and giggles. "Way! Hawpy! Momma! Poppa! Hawpy! Dway!" Elena smiles and she puts Lily back into her stroller.

Tristen chuckles. "Yup, she is one smart baby. She really knows what's happening today, last week she drew her teddy bear in a large house. The same one you guys live in."

Luna and Lincoln figured something like this might happen. Lily's memories are helping her recall things she once knew, chances she will ask all of them who are the weird people in her dream and those people are the former family. Lily is one smart infant.

Elena then recalls something. "Oh I almost forgot, here." Elena hands Luna a small keychain the shape of a bear sleeping on the moon.

"Umm, what the heck is this little thing?" asked Luna. Lincoln also sees this.

"If Lily can't take a nap and she's calling out for a sweepy bear, then let that dangle above her and push that button and it'll do all the work" replied Tristen.

"That is an old family heirloom from my grandmother" said Elena. "She made it to help me sleep when I was just a baby and when my mom was a baby as well, my grandmother liked to tinker with that thing she found, from what my grandma told me that used to be a keychain for a royal family back in Michigan but they never got the chance to help defend the people during the war for independence and because of my grandma finding it, now it's a music box. A tiny music box."

Lincoln and Luna looked to the keychain and smiled. "That has got to be the sweetest and coolest thing I have ever seen and heard" said Luna, even Lincoln agrees, it was a big story within a tiny package. "We got this Tristen and Elena, no worries."

"Thanks for actually calling us by our names Luna" said Tristen.

Luna smirks. "I am a mom and I gotta learn to call some close family friends by their names instead of just calling them either Mr. or Mrs. Even though I am just 15."

Tristen and Elena smile and then they give Lily a kiss on the cheek and they head off to their car. Lincoln and Luna wave goodbye to them. They then look to Lily who is smiling at the two louds, she looks to them as if she recalls them.

"Well little Lily flower, what do you wanna do today?" asked Lincoln as he plays with her little hands, this makes her giggle.

"Walkie! Walkie!"

Luna chuckles and understands that. "I think she just wants to take a nice stroll around the park and check out the place."

"Alright then Lily." Lincoln and Luna both walk around the park while pushing Lily in her stroller, the baby looks around and smiles at all the things going around the place. Lily tries to reach to grab the birds flying by, she laughs when she sees kids playing around and she remains silent and looks with curiosity at the butterflies fluttering around the nearby flower gardens.

"Wow, she really likes the park" said Lincoln.

"Well, she lives not too far from here, so I'm guessing she gets to see the place from the window and always wants to come and play here" replied Luna. Then she notices Lily moving her arms around, this also gets Lincoln's attention. "What's wrong Lily?"

"Up. Up. Up."

Lincoln chuckles. "Okay, looks like Lily doesn't wanna be in the stroller anymore." Lincoln picks up Lily and carries her as they continue to stroll around the park, while Luna follows them pushing the stroller.

Then they run into Jordan and her gal pals who all wave towards Lincoln and Luna and then they see the baby in Lincoln's arms. "Oh, she's so cute!"

"Who's this little bundle of sweetness and joy?" Sadie boops her nose making her giggle.

"This little lady is Lily, Lily D. Pingrey" replied Luna. "We're watching over her while her parents are celebrating their anniversary date today."

Lily looks to Jordan and wants to go to her. "Jowdan! Jowdan!"

Jordan giggles at the cute nickname. "Looks like someone still recognizes me from the last time we met, can I hold her?"

"Sure, she seems to already know who you are." Lincoln hands Lily over to Jordan, Jordan carries the baby and kisses her cheek, making the baby giggle and touch her nose, which makes Jordan giggle.

"Hey there Lily flower, aren't you just the sweetest little teddy bear around the park." Jordan then boops her nose which makes her giggle, the other girls also go over and see how cute she is. Jordan then looks to Lincoln and Luna. "Are you guys going to take her back to your place?"

"Probably later, I think right now Lily wants to have fun with you girls" said Luna. She then looks to Lincoln. "Go ahead and have fun with your friends, I'll be by the benches." Lincoln nods and goes over with Jordan and her gal pals and they head to the playground and have fun with Lily.

Luna heads to the benches with the stroller and watches them all have fun and play. Seeing this makes Luna smiles and she wipes away a few tears, this reminds her of the times when Lily and Lincoln were playing, back when they were all still one big happy family of 13. Then she gets another memory, of when she was 5 and Lincoln was just a year old and both of them playing in the playground and having fun with the rest of their siblings.

Luna chuckles and sheds a few tears, then she wipes them away. 'Where did those times go? What happened to the Luna who once loved her brother so much before she found her talent?'

Luna then looks to sky and sighs. 'Sure wish I could relive those moments when it all began, the moments when Lincoln and I were the closest out of all the siblings, and he would always call me mama.'

Lincoln and Jordan are both playing with Lily by the swing set along with Kat and Joy. But then Lincoln notices Luna looking to the sky and wiping away some tears. "Jordan, please keep an eye on Lily, I need to go and check on my mom." Jordan nods and Lincoln races off to Luna.

Luna continues to look up to the sky and recall the past. Lincoln then sits next to her and holds her hand. "Mom?" Luna snaps back to reality and looks to her son who has a look of concern. "Are you okay mom? Something wrong?"

Luna smiles, strokes his white hair and kisses his forehead. "Nothing wrong baby, just …. Just reminiscing some times of the past. Times when we were all happy and one big freaking family that would be there for each other." Luna then hugs Lincoln and sheds some tears. "Where did those times go my son?"

Lincoln understands she's kinda broken up from all of this and he hugs her back. "It was a long, long time ago mom and it won't come back. All we can do is look forward onto memories, new memories of just the two of us, our family of two. Mother and son."

Lincoln and Luna stay like this for a while, then they break the hug. "You gonna be okay mom?"

Luna wipes away some of her tears. "Y-Yeah, I'm cool now my child. I'm calm, I just needed to let all of that out." Luna then kisses his cheek which makes Lincoln chuckle. Luna then smiles when she looks to Lily. "Looks like someone is also here to see Lily."

Lincoln turns around and sees Jordan talking to Lucy on the grass, both of them cross legged and Lily looking to Lucy. Lincoln and Luna get up and go towards them. "Hey Luce."

Lucy looks to them. "Hey Lincoln, hey Luna. I was in the park trying to make a new poem for the young Morticians club until I saw Lily here with Jordan, she seems really happy."

Luna and Lincoln sit next to them. "Yeah, Lily does like the park" replied Luna. "You wanna hold her?"

Lucy is shocked by this offer. "A-Are you sure? What if …. What if she doesn't like me?"

Jordan then let's Lily stand up. "She won't hate you Lucy, she's just a baby and I'm sure she might recall who her once sweet Goth sister was."

Lily looks to Lucy confused, but then she smiles and waddles towards her. "Wucy. Wucy. Wucy!" Lucy gasps hearing this and has her arms out to reach Lily, Lily then makes it to Lucy and she hugs her. "Yay! Wucy!" Lily kisses Lucy's cheek and hugs her.

Lucy turns red and smiles, she sheds a few tears and snuggles close to Lily. "Yes, that's my name. Lucy. Hello sweet little Lily."

Lincoln, Luna and Jordan smile seeing this. Lily still knows who Lucy is and they spend the rest of their time in the park just playing and talking about things that have happened at school and yesterday, Jordan even talks to Lincoln about what she saw from Christina involving some four annoying boys, while Lucy tells them about some things she talked to with Rocky. Looks like Lucy and Rocky are both friends again, or better yet they still have a crush on each other.

(Skip, The Loud House.)

The purple Ferrari makes it to the loud house driveway. Luna and Lincoln unbuckle their seatbelts "Lincoln, please get Lily from her seat, I'll get the stroller from the trunk."

"Sure thing mom." Lincoln goes over to the baby chair in the back and he unbuckles Lily. "You ready to go into the house Lily flower?" Lily giggles and plays with her teddy bear.

Luna gets the stroller from the back, then she gets a call from Chunk. 'What the heck?' she answers it. "What's the dealio Chunk?"

"Luna, have you heard about the big Royal Rumble this Friday at you're High School?"

"Yeah, I saw it and I heard about it. What's it with you anyway?" asked Luna, she seemed less pleased about this whole thing.

"Well, I was wonderin' if you wanted to join in on it and show them what you can do. Sully and Mazzy are going to try and audition tomorrow, haven't gotten a single response from Sam though. What about you Lunes?"

Luna sighs. "Sorry dudes, but not in the moment to rock and roll on stage again. That's gonna be a long way for me to go and I'm still taking a lot of responsibility on my end, sorry Chunk."

"I understand loud and clear Lunes, will you be there to watch Sully and Mazzy perform though?"

"Got plans this Friday, gonna have to cancel on that one. I'll tell them when I get to school tomorrow. I gotta go now Chunk, talk to you soon." Luna hangs up the call and puts her phone into her jacket and she pushes the stroller towards the house. She then sees Lincoln carrying Lily and looking at her. "You heard didn't you?"

Lincoln nods. "Are you sure you don't wanna be part of that mom? I know you don't wanna bring the band back until you say otherwise, but why not try it with Sam and do a duet?"

Luna sighs. "Son, the Royal Rumble event at the High School is about blood pumping energy, the very same one the old me craves for and I am not planning to go through that again and I'm sure they wouldn't want Sam and me to perform unless we're rockin' and rollin. You have to understand Linc."

Lincoln nods. "It's cool mom, I understand." He then looks to Lily and sees that she's looking towards the house with curiosity, almost like she knows this place. "Looks like some little Lily flower wants to know where she is and go in."

Luna chuckles. "Let's head on inside you two, I wonder what Great Grandma Harriet will think of when she sees little Lily."

They both enter the house and they see no signs of their spectral relative. Lincoln and Lily go to the living room and look around and Luna brings in the stroller and closes the door. "Huh, where the heck is Great Grandma Harriet at?"

Lily looks to the living room and feels like she's been here before, like a distant memory. Only, it's been like two months. "Down. Winky, Down."

"Okay Lily." Lincoln let's Lily stand onto the ground of the living room and she looks around the place. She sees that everything seems cleaner and more different. Lincoln and Luna can tell she's observing the house and she knows it has changed since the renovations.

She then stops when she looks to the dining room and claps. "What's wrong Lily?"

"I heard you all come in, what did you two do today at the park and who called you to go there? Was it Lucy?" Great Grandma Harriet comes into the living room with a tray of freshly made brownies and she stops and sees Lily. "Lily? Lily is that you?" She's shocked to see the infant that she drops the ray of brownies, but Luna catches them.

"Way too close!" Luna places the tray of brownies onto the dining room table. "Yeah, this is Lily, Lily d. Pingrey."

Harriet looks down to the infant with shock in her eyes, the baby smiles and waddles to the ghost. "Gwamma! Gwamma! Gwamma!" Harriet backs up not wanting to hurt her.

But then some part of Harriet wakes up and she kneels down to Lily and opens her arms to hug her. The baby hugs onto the ghost and smiles. "Gwamma! Gwamma! Gwamma! Hawwiet."

Lincoln and Luna are shocked at what Lily just said. "How does she know you?"

Harriet wishes she could cry, but that's technically not even close to being possible for her to do that. She then picks up Lily and boops her nose. "Yes, yes little one. It's me, you're Great Grandma Harriet. Hello again Lily, it is so good to see you once again and I've missed you so much."

Lily giggles and holds her hand, this makes the ghost smile and cuddle onto the baby. "Hello little one." Harriet then sees the smiles coming from Lincoln and Luna as they cross their arms. "I have a lot to explain don't I?"

Lincoln chuckles. "Pretty much." They all go to the living room, but first Harriet uses her ghostly powers to bring in a plate and some glasses of milk and place the brownies onto the plate and bring it all into the living room.

This catches Lily's attention and she laughs seeing this. "Fwy! Fwy! Fwying!"

Harriet chuckles from this. "Still learning so much aren't you little one." They all sit onto the couch and grab a brownie and eat one. Harriet gets one and breaks a piece to give to Lily. "Okay, so you two would wish to know how Lily knows me."

"We didn't expect her to open up so fast" said Luna. "We thought she might get scared of you or something."

"Most babies would be curious and would see ghosts as they're long time imaginary friends" replied Lincoln. "And that is a fact from history."

"That part is true, I guess it started when Rita came into the house with the little infant, I saw her and I thought she was as cute as the others when they first came to the house. When I stood amongst all of you to gaze onto the infant, she opened her eyes and looked directly at me, she saw me way before Lucy existed, so I kept watching over Lily and making sure she was alright."

"But times have changed and Lily barely saw me, which was the time when I started interacting with Lucy. Though I never showed or told her about all the things I knew and the one other person in the house who sees me and it seems she still recognizes me. I watched over her when she slept, when she played and when she needed company, and when she played by herself I would be there."

Lily finishes eating her brownie and Harriet hands her the bottle of milk. "Drink up Lily, you have to be healthy if you wish to be a strong and understanding woman."

Lincoln and Luna smiled seeing this, Harriet was happy to see Lily again. Then Luna asks. "You do know Lily is no longer within the family right?"

Harriet sighs. "The very thought of it has been lingering within me since the end of the court incident and every day I prayed that Lily would be in safe hands and she is, I am glad she is with a family that can teach her better things. Even though deep down I am saddened that she's not one of us anymore, what matters is that she's happy."

They were glad she understood, soon Lily finishes her bottle and burps. "Poo-poo." They're smiles turned into frowns.

"Wow. That was quick" said Lincoln. "So, which one of us should change her?" The one thing they all didn't seem to like was changing Lily's diaper, but it was a long time since they have done it and for some weird reason they miss it.

"How about all of us change Lily? Heck we can give her a back too" said Luna. They all agree to this and they head upstairs, the one thing that still remains is the baby changing table and they get to work.

(An hour later.)

The D. Pingrey's car finally arrives to the loud house and the parents come out and head towards the place. "I hope Lily's alright, I don't know what would happen if she saw a ghost" said Tristen.

"Harriet seems fine. From what Luna and Lincoln told us, she doesn't seem much of a threat and we're all family friends so she's okay with us" replied Elena. She then rings the doorbell and the door is opened and they see Lincoln.

"Oh, hello Mr. and Mrs. Pingrey, come in." They come into the house and see Luna coming out from the kitchen after washing the dishes.

"Hey guys, Lily's asleep" replied Luna. "After we ate some lunch, we changed her, gave her a bath and played with her. After that she got tired and wanted to take her nap and you guys were right, she does like that little bear sleeping on the moon keychain music box."

Elena chuckles. "Well, she liked it when I first showed it to her, and she loved it when I showed it to her more often."

"Where is our little lily flower anyway?" asked Tristen.

"Right here." Great Grandma Harriet comes down the stairs with the sleeping infant in her arms and the keychain floating above the baby. "She seemed more comfortable sleeping in my arms than on the couch, also we don't have the crib anymore."

Elena strokes Lily hair and kisses her cheek. "Thank you for looking after her, she seems so peaceful."

"You guys sure know how to take care of someone who once was related, like with Lucy and Leni" replied Tristen.

Lincoln chuckles. "When it comes to the family we once knew, we all know how they work and how they do their own thing and Lily is no exception."

"I did some tinkering of my own to this little music box."

"What kind of tinkering?" asked Elena. They all look to the floating musical keychain above Lily.

"Whenever she wants to go to sleep, this will appear above her and float and automatically play the soothing lullaby, it will make it seem better than carrying it around and losing it. It will return to the state it was once Lily has grown up and no longer requires it."

They were impressed by what Harriet did. "Wow, if only my grandma could see this now" said Elena with a smile. "Thank you so much Harriet."

Harriet smiles. "Anything to make sure Lily stays happy." They all look to the sleeping infant who was babbling in her sleep.

"I wonder what Lily is dreaming of this time?" asked Lincoln. "She seems to be babbling some stuff when she sleeps."

"She does that a lot" replied Tristen. "We don't know what it is, but I got a theory she's dreaming of memories, memories of the past that made her happy."

Lincoln and Luna understand and look onto the sleeping baby who was once their baby sister. She was dreaming of her old home and her old family, before the whole Bad Luck incident.

That was one thing they all knew might happen. Lily will start wondering what her dreams mean and why she sees people she seems to recognize besides Lincoln, Luna and Lucy. One day, one day they will tell Lily. They will tell Lily who her real family was, who the real Loud Family were.

A/N: Lily will one day ask them when she learns to talk and walk properly, but until then she's going to enjoy her young and innocent life with her family and family friends. The day will come when they tell her, that she was once a Loud. Leave a review and tell me what you all think.
