Chapter 40: Pulp Fiction.
(The Loud House.)
Luna had just finished making some breakfast for herself and her son Lincoln, she places the two sunny side up eggs onto the plate along with the bacon. But where the heck is the resident family ghost Great Grandma Harriet? We'll get to her later.
Lincoln slides down the stairs railing and he lands onto the ground and then enters the dining room and then the kitchen. Lincoln sees his mom Luna and smiles. "Good morning mom."
Luna smiles seeing her son all dressed and ready for the day. "Looking good in the morning, you stoked about today kiddo?"
"Sure am." Lincoln sits onto the chair and sees the bacon, eggs and orange juice. "Sure am and I'm gonna need all the energy I need to go and see the man who made the Ace Savvy Comics! I can't believe I won and I get to bring Clyde and of course I wanna bring Principal Huggins along as well." He then eats the bacon and eggs. "Mmmm! These are really good mom, delicious as always."
Luna sits down next to her son with a mug of coffee. "Thanks Linky, Great Grandma isn't here right now. She said she had to look for something lost in some kind of old place that she once knew and might still be here in town. I don't know what that one is all about."
Lincoln is confused by that one. "Okay, let's leave her be for that one. If we're headed to school we're gonna have to leave a note so she'll know."
"My thoughts exactly" replied Luna. "Now eat up, we both got a day to spend today and not just school and also, if you're having any trouble at school. Text or call me okay kiddo?"
Lincoln swallows his food and sighs. He knows what she means. "Yeah, I know this is about Boy Jordan and chances he might've gotten detention or suspension. Either way he might come after me or Jordan, but I'm not gonna let that get to me."
Luna strokes her son's hair. "That's my brave white-haired kid. Looking forward to the day even though things are gonna be troublesome. But try not to be a hero more often, it leads to trouble."
Lincoln smiles. "I know mom." They both proceed to eat their breakfast. Then Lincoln recalls something. "Mom, what did you think happened a few days ago when we got back home?"
Luna recalls they saw these new tiles to the roof of the house, almost like something broke off or got blown off. "No clue, maybe we can ask Great Grandma Harriet about that later when she gets back and when we get back."
They keep eating their breakfast and fail to see Great Grandma Harriet sneaking through the front door with some old books, they look like books for spells. Spells for something more otherworldly.
'I just need to pretend that I'm still not here and they'll think I'm still out of the house.' Harriet sneakily heads upstairs and she phases through the door of the room she resides in and she quietly places the books onto the bed.
(Royal Woods Elementary.)
Lincoln and Luna arrive to the school and Lincoln hugs and kisses his mom. "See you after school mom, and yes I will call or text you should something bad happen."
Luna then breaks away from the hug and ruffles her son's hair and then she fixes it again. "Smart as always kiddo, stay safe and I love you kiddo."
"I love you too mom." Lincoln then grabs his bag and he heads out of the Ferrari. Luna then drives off, but she does so slowly as to look around the school before Lincoln heads inside, she sees no sign of trouble and drives off to his school.
Unknown to them, a grey family van stops and Boy Jordan comes out and sighs. He has a month of grounding and a month of detention, he sees a lot of kids looking at him sternly. He sighs and puts his hands into his pockets and he walks towards the school, he wants to get this day over with so he can detention over with.
Inside, Lincoln meets up with Jordan and Clyde. "Guys, guess what?"
"The lunch lady's new food courtesy of Clyde and Chloe is gonna taste awesome?" asked Jordan.
"The school rat has been caught? Because there hasn't been any things stolen as of lately" replied Clyde.
"No guys. I won! I won the Ace Savvy Comic making contest, and I get to meet Bill Buck later this afternoon at their building where they make the comic possible!" replied Lincoln.
Clyde and Jordan are shocked to hear this. "Wow! I knew you'd win, looks like it's time to let McBride and Huggins tag along huh?" said Jordan as she hugs Lincoln.
"Yeah. We can head off when school is all over later" replied Lincoln. He then looks to Clyde and he hands him something from his bag, it was a neatly plastic wrapped comic that they made together, "Ace Savvy and the Full House Gang."
"Here Clyde, I think this deserves to go to you. You and I made this, but I made the new comic that helped me win and I don't want this to be around me at home." replied Lincoln as he hands him the plastic wrapped comic book.
Clyde smiles and accepts it. "I understand Lincoln, I don't want you going through some bad memories about things that happened from months ago. I'll be sure to keep this safe from my dad's and our cats. As of right now, Cleopawtra and Nepurrtiti are feeling kinda in the bad mood and my dads are bringing them to Dr. Lopez, once they finish their checkup at the vet."
Lincoln and Jordan cringe at the imagination of the cats Clyde has. "Maybe they just ate something bad, or they could be having a bad day. Heck I can get pretty annoyed when I have a bad day starting up."
"Loud, McBride and Rosato." They turn around and see Principal Huggins go towards them. He then looks to Lincoln. "Well Mr. Loud, anything from the mail?"
Lincoln smiles. "Later after school, we're going to the country of Bay and we're gonna go and see the man who made the comic who helped you through childhood."
Huggins goes wide eyed hearing this. "What? Really? Bill Buck? W-We're going to see him? For reals?!"
They backup a bit seeing their principal act up like this. "Whoa. Whoa. Take it easy sir, you look like you're either going to explode or melt into a pool on the floor and sure enough we don't want Norm to mop that away" replied Jordan.
Principal Huggins then calms down. "Yes, yes. Sorry about that. It's just I am so excited that I get to come along and meet Bill Buck, this is so awesome! My Friday has been made, well not until we meet him, but you kids know what I mean!"
They all chuckle at that. "After school, my mom is gonna take us on the long trip to the county border between Saginaw and Bay and that's where we head to the main building where they made the Ac Savvy Comics" replied Lincoln. "Clyde is also tagging along too."
"This is still an honor for me to be part of this, even though I didn't even win with my comic" replied Principal Huggins. "And when I recalled what my comic was about, I guess putting some bad guy into detention kinda sounds like a bad guy power than one of a superhero."
Lincoln thinks about it. "Not wrong, you should've given the Principal Valiant and ruler that could act as a pole vault so he could leap over objects and use it as a melee weapon too."
Principal Huggins realizes this. "Huh, that does sound like a very good and amazing idea. Wow. I did not think about that one."
Clyde chuckles. "When it comes to Lincoln, he can tell what kind of weapon or power the heroes or villains can have." He then looks to the comic in his hands. 'But sometimes we have to make the hardest choices of when something's have to be put aside, in order to make things less bad.'
Just then they hear the bell ring. "Well, that's first period. Run along you three. On to class now, I think Mrs. Johnson said something about a pop quiz today, just giving you three a heads up." He winks at them and they smile.
Lincoln, Jordan and Clyde then head off to their class while Huggins goes elsewhere. But then he slips on a banana peel. "Who left this here?!"
A girl dressed as a clown sees this and slowly backs away and makes sure Huggins does not know, what the heck Giggles?
(Royal Woods High School.)
Luna and Sam are both walking down the halls. "So, Linky won and contest and now he gets to meet his idol Bill Buck? Wow. Looks like this Friday is gonna turn awesome for you guys" said Sam.
"Yeah, it's not gonna be a long trip. We're not too far from the outskirts of Saginaw and it could be a two hour drive, depending on traffic" replied Luna.
"Luna!" Luna and Sam turn around and see Chaz, Becky and Joey go to her. "Hey dudes, what's up?"
"We heard you talk earlier, is it true that your kid won the Ace Savvy Comic Making contest?" asked Becky.
Luna gets confused from what she just asked. "Umm yeah, why?"
"Whoa! Chaz is impressed, looks like Lincoln gets to meet Bill Buck. Good for him" said Chaz.
"Hang on, you guys know Ace Savvy?" asked Sam.
"We do, even though we're teens we still love the comic" said Joey. "Ace Savvy is timeless to us and sure as heck we ain't giving up on the comic we read when we were kids."
Luna and Sam are shocked to see this. Luna smirks. 'The next time Linc and I visit Leni, we are so going to tell her about this. She won't believe it!' "Well, Lincoln and I along with two of his friends are going to go and see the Bill Buck at his main base where they make the comic."
Becky chuckles. "Well, whatever comic you're kid made must've been one heck of a winner and if it does go out to the public we'd be so stoked to read it!"
"Yeah, we also sent our comics. But we can show some good sportsmanship when it comes to the comic like the one your kid made, so we're cool with it and we would love to read what he made" said Chaz.
Luna chuckles. "Well, I did read the comic he made while he was asleep and I have to say it was …. It was nice and touching. Tell you guys what, later at lunch I'll let you guys know what the comic was."
Becky, Chaz and Joey are shocked to hear this. "Whoa what? Really?" asked Joey. Luna nods. This makes them excited. "O-Okay then, see you at lunch Luna!" Joey, Chaz and Becky then head off and talk to each other about this.
Lun and Sam then go off to their music class. Sam nudges Luna. "You are one sure fire mom and good friend you know that babe?"
Luna chuckles. "I sure am. Also, I should let you know, that when Linc made the comic he was gonna give the hero a mom who he never knew about, but some part of him thought it could be overboard so he made the Night Club into the sister he never knew he had instead. The mom thing does sound cool though."
Sam then sees where this is going. "So, he based the comic off of you. Sorta. But he wanted to make it less of a hassle and just start it off with the sister role than the mom role."
"Yeah, I guess so. Who knows, maybe Bill Buck will ask Lincoln what was his first idea and he'll wanna see it through" replied Luna.
"The rest of the day awaits, just be patient and let the good vibes flow Lunes" replied Sam. They then head off to their class, while passing by Principal Rivers who accidently hits an invisible wall.
"What the heck?" She then sees Benny opening the invisible door for her. Principal Rivers is confused by this. "Again, I have no clue how the miming club does this. It's unbelievable!"
Benny then tips his hat and he hops onto an invisible skateboard and skates off. Principal Rivers claps at this performance, while her assistant Oliver sees this. "How the heck do they do this?"
(After school.)
Lincoln and Jordan and Clyde leave the school after saying their good byes to all their friends. All of them have plans for the weekends and it turns out that Rusty is gonna be grounded for the whole weekend, something about accidently helping his dad and handing over the wrong wedding dress to the two women. Ouch!
Lincoln, Jordan and Clyde then see the Purple Ferrari of Luna is there and waiting by the bench is Lincoln's mom. Luna. "You kids ready?"
"We sure are Ms. Loud" said Clyde. Lincoln and Jordan then share a hug and small kiss and Jordan heads off to her mom's van and she heads home.
Lincoln and Clyde then look around for Principal Huggins. "Over here kids." They see they're principal in his golf cart. "You guys drive off, and I'll follow behind."
Lincoln and Clyde hop into the purple Ferrari and so does Luna as she slides over her hood. Clyde looks around the car. "Wow! I've never been in a car that feels stylish and fast looking." Clyde then buckles up, and then he has a helmet, just in case.
"Alright guys, Ace Savvy Comic Book Headquarters, here we come!" said Luna. She then hits the gas and they drive off with Huggins tailing behind. "Oh, I should take it nice and easy or we might lose track of the Principal."
"Sounds like a good idea mom, his golf cart doesn't seem like the fastest thing alive" replied Lincoln as he looks behind them.
(After a two hour drive.)
They reach the border between Saginaw and Bay, and they see it. The large Comic Book shaped building of where they make the Ace Savvy comic and they see the statue of Ace Savvy at the top and the many buildings connected to it. Lincoln, Clyde and Principal Huggins look in awe at the large building.
The main gate opens and the guard lets them through. Why? Luna placed a sticker on the front from the letter they got. The sticker says: "Ace Savvy Comic Book making contest winner!" How convenient of them to do this.
Luna parks her car on a spot that has the logo of the clubs, Huggins parks next to them. Luna, Lincoln and Clyde get out of the car and look to the building, Huggins stands next to them and also looks to it.
"Well, this is it. Time to go and see Bill Buck" replied Lincoln. They all go through the doors and they see the Ace Savvy statue in the middle of the main area. Clyde and Huggins gaze to the large statue of Ace Savvy and they see it's made out of front covers of each comic throughout the ages.
Luna then sees the front desk. "Excuse me miss, we're here to see Bill Buck. My kid won the Ace Savvy Comic book making contest." Lincoln stands next to his mom and she ruffles his hair.
"Oh good. Bill Buck is expecting the winner and guests are welcome too." The front desk woman with brown hair into a bun then looks at Lincoln and Luna. "Hang on just a sec. You're the two from the news months ago, oh wow. It is an honor to have Luna and Lincoln Loud be here, Bill Buck has heard about the news and is sorry for what happened."
Lincoln chuckles. "A lot of people knows about it, where can we find him miss?"
"Third floor, main hall keep going down and then you'll find his work office" replied the front desk woman.
"Thank you miss" replied Lincoln. They then head to the elevator and head up to the third floor. They notice that all the buttons on the elevator are shaped as the deck of cards. "Wow. This place goes above and beyond with what they stand for." The others also agreed.
"Why is the basement button the symbol of the joker?" asked Huggins. They were all curious, but they did not wanna push it. Chances it might be bad, or a prank.
They then make it to the third floor, which is the symbol of the spade. They then walk down the main hall and they see on the walls the many posters of the Ace Savvy Comics from the past and all the way to the now.
"Wow! I can guess all the comic cover posters here" said Lincoln. "And each one I have read!"
"It's like the biggest comic book store, look at how authentic and well printed those posters look!" said Clyde as he looks closely.
"I'm getting so many flashbacks of my childhood!" said Huggins. Then he realizes. "Wow. I was such a weak kid back then."
Luna chuckles. It was like seeing three kids in a candy store, okay tow kids and a grown man in a candy store. Like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, sorta.
Luna then notices the door down the hall. "Found it guys." They follow Luna and they see the door that says. "Bill Buck."
Lincoln sighs. "This is it, we're about to meet the man who made the Ace Savvy comic, the man who made our childhood what it is now and the man who helped us through some dark times."
"Well, I am honored you think of me that way." They all stop and turn to the right and see the man himself, no not Stan Lee! Bill Buck! (Would've been better if it was Stan Lee though.)
"Welcome to the main place, and it is a true honor to meet the winner of the contest and I am deeply honored it's the boy who fought through the court of law and won it with his mother. Well, legal mother" said Bill Buck.
Lincoln smiles. "Thank you sir, we were wondering about what you thought about the comic I made."
Bill Buck smiles. "Come with me everyone." They enter his office and they see all the paper and concepts he made, then Luna see the concept image of Night Club and Ace Savvy both sitting atop the water tower and looking at the city.
"Like it? I made this after I read the comic and my verdict is … That it was an amazing story" replied Bill Buck. "Putting more mystery into the life of Ace Savvy, something the readers will want to know. A secret past that Ace forgot and he has a sister and I know this was all based off from your mom Luna, and the very style of The Night Club looks like your mother too, and it is an honor to base a character after someone who has helped you through even hard times in life."
"Thank you sir. My mom has helped me through when times were against me and would ruin the meaning of family, and I did what I did to show how much she means to me and so I wanted Ace to have this sister who would always watch over him, while at the same time put puzzles along the way so he can figure out who he truly is and his past" replied Lincoln.
Bill Buck smiles. "That does sound like a comic that should be read and made, but I need to know. Was this the original idea? Because I'm starting to see that having The Night Club as a sister wasn't the first thing you had in mind."
Lincoln smirks. "You're as smart as Ace Mr. Buck. My original idea was to have The Night Club be Ace's mom that he never knew about, someone who was a hero way before him and was lost in time."
Bill Buck thinks about this. "Sounds like a chaotic mystery that Ace would have to figure out and perhaps The Night Club was facing an enemy when that happened, which would explain why she remains the same as she was when she was trapped, and therefore putting her into time freeze within a parallel plain."
"And that's the whole picture" replied Lincoln. He then high fives with Bill Buck.
"That one sounds interesting, now I would love to make this into an actual comic and be sure you get a lot of the credit. But after what you told me about that first idea, I would love to see a comic about it and then we can decide which one deserves to be published" said Bill Buck.
Lincoln and the others are shocked to hear this. "What? Really?" asked Lincoln.
Bill Buck nods. "You got yourself some talent when it comes to making comics kid, and you have a lot of things to make up for more inspiring stuff. I'll let you take your time with the original idea, then we can see how well it could work."
"Thank you sir, thank you so much. I'll be sure to take my time and out all my passion and inspiration into it" said Lincoln as he wipes away some of his tears.
Bill Buck chuckles. "I know you will Lincoln." Then he sees Clyde and Principal Huggins. "And I could only assume there are friends of yours?"
"They are sir" replied Lincoln. "Clyde and I are best friends, and Ace Savvy is the very reason why we're best friends. Principal Huggins wanted to meet the man who made the comic that helped him through rough childhood times."
"It is a true honor sir! I just and I ….." Huggins then faints.
"Huh, this happened before when a guest was here" said Bill Buck. "So, you wanna check out the rest of the concepts I have made for the villains you came up with?"
"Sure!" said Lincoln. Clyde thinks about asking if it was okay to show him the Full House Gang, but he decides not too and joins in and sees the original Ace Savvy and One-Eyed Jack from the first comic.
Luna chuckles and she looks to the concept image of Ace Savvy and the Night Club who are both looking away from each other with saddened looks, but have a chain of cards on their wrists that show they are bound, as family. 'The mom idea for the hero sounds kinda nice, and I can't wait for my kid to make it.'

I didn't know where Bill Buck would be or his work place so I made it up. This chapter is based off the episode "Pulp Fiction."
