This is kinda like the episode "Insta-Gran" but this will be different and I hope you guys like this, enjoy folks.
Family of Two.
Chapter 47: Insta-Gran-Gran.
(The Loud House.)
Lincoln and Luna finish eating breakfast and both of them head to the living room to get their school bags. "Man, I can't wait to spend some time with Gran-Gran soon. She was so nice yesterday" replied Lincoln.
"Yeah, she really is" replied Luna. "So glad Pop-pop found someone he can spend the rest of his life with, sure hope Seymour doesn't look to her again, otherwise Pop-pop might lose his cool."
They both chuckle at this and Great Grandma Harriet goes to them. "We might spend time with her soon, she seems like the kinda person who could use some family time and she seems to fully appreciate us and what we have been through, I too wish to spend some time with her."
Lincoln then recalls. "You think it would've been nice if Myrtle did meet the others? You know, the other family, if none of this madness ever happened?"
Harriet and Luna understand what he means, they could only imagine what would happen if the parents and the other family were there to spend time with Pop-pop's sweet heart and would all wanna show her what they all do and she would love to meet them as well, but now here they are.
"Well, whatever the case. She seems as nice and understanding and she too would've loved to see the others, perhaps we should tell Leni about her, and you two should also tell Lucy as well. They might wish to meet up with Pop-pop one day and possibly Myrtle as well" replied Great Grandma Harriet.
"You know, it does sound like an awesome idea" replied Luna. "We can tell them about Myrtle and they'd wanna meet her one day, also I was kinda confused about one thing from my birthday."
"What's that mom?" asked Lincoln.
"Leni was on the screen and seeing everyone at the party, she didn't even notice Great Grandma Harriet, how come?" asked Luna.
This was puzzling, Great Grandma Harriet sighs. "Luna, use your phone to look towards me."
Luna is confused by this. "Okay." She pulls out her phone and sets it to video camera and she sees nothing at where Great Grandma Harriet is supposed to be. "Oh, right. Okay that makes sense."
"As of normal info, ghosts cannot be fully seen by most people and when it comes to electronics, most of the times we are visible or not, or sometimes just a white orb, smoke or a faint piece of light or some disembodied figure. So, Leni didn't see me, nor did she even pick up the sound of my voice as I was passing by her" replied Great Grandma Harriet. "This is logic I have learned when Lincoln was watching the ridiculous ghost hunting show that almost seems racist to the ghosts of my standards."
"Huh, I guess that makes sense and also I am glad I don't watch AARGH! Anymore" replied Lincoln.
Luna then checks her watch. "Well, we should get going now. See you after school Great Grandma Harriet." She and her son leave the house and head to the car and they drive off.
Harriet waves to them and then she stops and feels like something was wrong. 'Why do I feel like someone is going to come to the house? Hmm, I'll have to wait and see.'
She then gets to the laundry, and also plans to head back upstairs to read some of the books she has. But she has no idea that things are bound to get unexpected for her, and for Lincoln and Luna.
(Royal Woods Grade school.)
Lincoln is with Jordan and Clyde and telling them the awesome time he has with Myrtle. "She was so nice, she doesn't have any family so we treated her as one of us and we all enjoyed some dinner, movies and showed her some of the songs my mom has planned for her next gig with Sam."
"Wow. She sounds almost as cool as my nana, and my nana went zip lining and crashed onto some hay bales and lived to tell the tale" replied Clyde.
"Sure would be nice to meet her, also you up for some gaming at your place later?" asked Jordan.
"Heck yeah I am and I already have the song I need for when I do make it to the auditions to the Grade School talent show" replied Lincoln. "My mom doesn't know about it, I wanna surprise her for when the big event begins, and when I do make the cut."
"Well, whatever the case, we know you can make it buddy and we also made some good times when we hung out with Paige and Renee yesterday after you told us about them. You're mom still kinda upset after what I and the other guys did when we… You know, thought you missed Ronnie Anne?" asked Clyde.
"Yeah, she's not that mad, but she doesn't want you guys to give me some love advice or help me when I need to have a date or hang out with Jordan, since I can do it myself with the support from my mom and Sam" replied Lincoln.
"So, I guess she is still upset about it, well I can't blame her" replied Jordan. "Also, if you have the time, maybe you and I can hang out, like another date and I don't mind it Luna and Sam tag along."
"That'd be nice, I'd have to ask her first" replied Lincoln. He then sees Clyde looking to Chloe who is talking to Emma, Sadie and Mollie. "Clyde, how did it go with Chloe yesterday?"
Clyde snaps out of his love daze. "Huh, what? Oh, well we hung out and went to do some baking at my place and I made sure my dad's weren't around, in fact they were kinda busy with their own thing. So, it was just me, Chloe and the cats, they really like her."
Just then they see Principal Huggins walking towards them. "Have any of you seen a hair?"
They're all confused by this. "You mean like a really large rabbit?" asked Jordan.
"No, I mean a wig" replied Huggins. Then he spots a raccoon in the vents mocking him with the wig on its butt. "You! I knew you were still here!" But then he goes to the kids. "Okay, so I am going to make the announcement that class will be suspended for the day till we take him down!" He then runs off to chase the raccoon and calls Norm the janitor.
This shocks Lincoln, Jordan and Clyde. "Well, that happened and we didn't even make it o first period yet" said Clyde.
They soon hear the announcement from Sheryl. "Attention ya'll, there is going to be no school for today. Seems like they found the raccoon, so everyone is to head home, but before they leave we need to check all your bags just to be sure the little vermin doesn't make a break for it. That is all."
"So, now what?" asked Jordan.
"Well, I have to text my mom what's happening and I didn't bring my bike with me, so I guess we're walking to my place" replied Lincoln. He then pulls out his phone. "You want in Clyde?"
"Thanks, but no thanks" replied Clyde. "I'm gonna take this time to ask Chloe if she wants to hang out again, see you guys around." Clyde then heads off to talk to Chloe.
Lincoln then texts Luna, Jordan then grabs him to the side to avoid the crowd of kids from trampling over him. "Whoa! Thanks Jordan, that was too close."
"Yeah, and if that happened, then your mom would freak out and end up blaming the school" replied Jordan. They then make their way through the halls and out the school, but they have to show their bags to Sheryl who is by the main doors.
(The Loud House.)
Lincoln and Jordan then come into the house and they see someone vacuuming the place. "Hey guys, oh hi Lincoln. You're home early" replied Myrtle.
This was confusing to them. "Umm, they sent us home due to a raccoon being found which they were supposed to take down since yesterday. Also, how the heck did you get in the house when the door was locked?"
"I found your door key" replied Myrtle as she puts the vacuum away.
This made Lincoln shocked. "Umm, the keys were in the rose bushes."
"I also found your bandages." Myrtle shows them her fingers that have bandages from the rose bushes.
"Okay, so what the heck are you doing here? In the house, vacuuming?" asked Lincoln.
"Well, I wanted to spend more time with you and Luna, but since she's not here yet, we can spend time together" replied Myrtle. "I just couldn't help myself, and I wanted to do this." she then sees Jordan. "Oh, and you must be Lincoln's girlfriend. Hi, my names Myrtle."
"Umm hi, Lincoln told me all about you, right before we were about to go into first period, also where the heck is Great Grandma Harriet?" asked Jordan.
"Oh, well I don't really know, the laundry's been made and I was about to go upstairs to clean your room and the other rooms, also I found this note, and it's for you and your mom." Myrtle hands Lincoln the note. But when he opens it, it speaks with the voice of Great Grandma Harriet.
"Dear Lincoln and Luna, I am not here right now. After reading some books in my room, I decided to head someplace where I kept some other secret books, I'll be back later in the day, have fun and stay safe, from yours truly, Great Grandma Harriet Willard. P.S – I feel like someone is gonna come to the house soon, keep an eye on the place."
Lincoln sighs. "Well, now I know where she is and I should tell my mom about this too. Also, why are you vacuuming the house, Great Grandma Harriet already did that earlier, before we left for school?"
"Well, I thought it could use some more cleaning and I was planning to go upstairs and also clean the other rooms." Myrtle then grabs the vacuum.
Lincoln then stops her. "No, no. There's no need to clean upstairs Myrtle, we don't want anyone else going into the rooms of the others, even though they don't come here or live here anymore, we'd rather just leave the rooms be, also my mom is the one with the keys to the rooms. They've all been locked."
"Oh, well then I'll clean the room you share with your mom then" replied Myrtle.
Lincoln realizes this. "Umm how about, no? I don't think it's a good idea to also clean in that room. The last thing we need, is for everything we have kept to end up getting cleaned out or in the wrong place. We tend to know how to fix things and know where we left what we need."
"Oh, then how about the room where Harriet resides?" asked Myrtle.
Lincoln sees some red flags in that one. "Nope, nope, nope. We do not touch that room. Great Grandma Harriet has tons of books and she doesn't want them to be touched or messed with, also that room is locked tight and only Great Grandma Harriet can open the door, otherwise it's game over "Insidious" style."
"Oh, well I guess I can just finish vacuuming in here" said Myrtle. "There really isn't much to do around this place, do you and your mom clean?"
"Only sometimes, when we wanna help out" replied Lincoln. "Most of the times, Great Grandma Harriet does the cleaning and other stuff, and she doesn't seem to mind, but she is okay with us backing her up with making the place spotless."
"Well that is so nice of her, what are you kids planning to do anyway?" asked Myrtle.
"Well, we were planning to play some video games or maybe listen to some music" replied Jordan.
"Aww, like a little date" said Myrtle. "You know, I can help make you look so handsome, I know how to cut hair. Heck, I do it to your Pop-pop too and he doesn't seem to mind at all, he really feels like he's back in the navy when I start trimming."
Lincoln gets nervous from this. "Do you give Pop-pop a military style haircut when you trim his hair?"
"Yeah, why?" asked Myrtle as she has some scissors.
This raises red flags from Jordan and she gets in between them. "Okay, okay. Let's hit the brakes and back it up a bit, no one touches this kid's hair. I like it just the way it is and he always seems handsome when he has his signature cowlick, his warm smile and his kind hearted personality."
Lincoln chuckles and he kisses her cheek, this makes Jordan giggle and she kisses his cheek.
Myrtle can see how much they love each other. "Okay, I guess I can handle that. Maybe when you guys are done, we can do some baking, we can bake your mom something she might like."
"You know, that does sound like a nice idea" replied Lincoln. Soon, the two kids get to gaming, while Myrtle checks out the pictures of Lincoln and Luna from the photo album, Lincoln was alright with her going through that one.
(Later in the day.)
Luna's car arrives and coming out is Luna and Sam. "Lunes, calm down. He's fine in there. Harriet is there to keep an eye on him and Jordan said she was hanging out with him, so he's safe."
"Sorry, sorry. I'm just so worried should something bad happen with Linc being home, without me" replied Luna. "I'm surprised no one saw me speed away, almost like they thought I was going to an emergency back home."
"That's because whenever you go around at great speeds and also keeping an eye on things around you, they all assume you're going someplace involving Lincoln" replied Sam. "You two are still the talk of the town you know."
Luna sighs. "I gotta be careful next time." They then enter the house and see Lincoln and Jordan aren't around. "Lincoln? Jordan? Lincoln?! I'm home kiddo!"
Then Lincoln comes out of the dining room. "Oh, hi mom. Jordan and I were waiting for you, also Gran-Gran."
Luna and Sam are confused by this. "Who?"
"That would be me!" Myrtle comes out to greet them. "Glad you're back home Luna, and you must be Sam. I am so happy Luna found someone to call his lover, and I am so okay with the whole gender loving gender thing."
"Wow. Thanks, you really are a nice person" replied Sam. "Lunes told me all about you, also when were you called Gran-Gran?"
"I decided to call her that, since she is with Pop-pop, might as well just call her Gran-Gran" replied Lincoln. "We also made you something special."
"Really? What is it?" asked Luna. They then enter the dining room and see the chocolate cake on the table. "Huh, so this is what you dudes did. Well that is nice and all, but where the heck is Great Grandma Harriet at?"
"Not here" replied Jordan. "She left a note saying she had to go someplace and so we came here and found the door unlocked and Myrtle was in here the whole time, doing some cleaning."
"I had to make sure she didn't go into our room, or to the other rooms, or even try sorting things out" replied Lincoln. "Also, Great Grandma Harriet will be back soon, wherever she went."
Luna is shocked to hear this. "Oh, well that's nice of you to take charge." She then looks to Myrtle. "We have our own system here, and we'd appreciate you don't do anything other than vacuuming the downstairs, we like to keep our things to ourselves."
"It's okay, I won't get into the privacy you two share, and I so loved enjoying baking with these two kids" said Myrtle. "I would love to come to see one of your gigs with Sam, and possibly come and see Lincoln and Jordan on their date, but then they reasoned with me to not go overboard with me trying to spend more time with you guys."
"Well, now that we're all here and we have all that wrapped up, let's get to eating this cake" said Sam.
They then sit down and each of them has a slice of cake, all the while they talk about what they plan to do soon. Though Lincoln keeps the secret of the school talent show audition a secret, same with Jordan. But they have no clue that Luna can tell they're hiding something.
Luna feels like she wants to know, but then she recalls what happened last time she found out what he was doing and it was on a Saturday and it broke her son's heart to make her mad and upset. 'I trust Lincoln and what he does, I'll wait till he tells me what he's up to next.'
"So, there's something I have to tell you guys. Tomorrow is my birthday, and everyone is gonna be there to celebrate with me at the retirement home" replied Myrtle. "And the good thing, is that Sue no longer works there, which means all the senior citizens don't have to deal with her and her overbearing rules and making us feel guilty about our aging bodies."
Lincoln sighs in relief. "Yeah, I'm grateful she won't be around anymore and that everything is gonna be okay and fun at Sunset Canyon, but they still have to be careful with the elderly while they have they're own kind of fun, we don't want Pop-pop or the others getting hurt from some reckless stuff and stunts., mostly from Scoots."
"That's true, we have some new caretakers there, and they are kinda strict with this salt thing since last time and believe me you kids do not wanna know about that one" replied Myrtle. "Also, Sam and Jordan, you guys are also invited and I don't mind if you bring you're little brother with you Sam."
"Oh, well that sounds nice" replied Sam. "But I gotta ask what my little bro is up to for tomorrow, then perhaps he'd like to be part of it."
Just then the door opens and they see Great Grandma Harriet and Albert. "Hey gang, the cake smells nice also I picked up mom when I spotted her walking down the street."
"What seems to be the problem here? Also, how the heck did Myrtle get into the house? I left the keys in the rose bushes" replied Great Grandma Harriet.
They had a lot to tell her, Lincoln and Luna know that whatever Great Grandma Harriet was planning today, they won't push her into telling them. They won't go through beyond to see what she has.
The book in the hands of Great Grandma Harriet had this eye symbol, like an ancient eye symbol and is named, "Kirin'Tor, legacy of the Guardians." Looks like she has something that doesn't belong into their world.
A/N: This is my version of "Insta-Gran" and coming tomorrow is Myrtle's birthday, I'm just gonna dub her at the age of 74. Also, there will be the chapter when they go face-to-face with one of my stories "Spells and Louds". Leave a review and tell me what you all think.
